In the early 1900s, the Crown Jewels of Ireland vanished from Dublin Castle, igniting scandal among the nation’s elites. Whispers of conspiracy rippled through both Ireland and Britain—was it theft, treason, or something far darker? The investigation ended without answers, but the secrets remained buried.

Over a century later, two ambitious history majors are drawn together by the mystery. What begins as a shared passion for uncovering the past quickly sparks something neither expected—an undeniable attraction that grows stronger with every secret they unearth. But as the pair digs deeper, they are forced to confront not only hidden truths and dangerous betrayals, but also the raw emotions and desires simmering between them.

With danger closing in, passion and trust become their only lifelines. The closer they come to unraveling the truth behind the missing jewels, the more they must risk—both their hearts and their lives.

I was given an ARC copy of this book for a review by the author. I went into this book completely blind with only a basic idea of what this was about and I have to say I loved it.
It was the perfect mix of historical fiction with a romance subplot, the mystery and twists were great and I loved the mix of the past with the present.
It was very much show don’t tell which was great, a lot of new books coming out I find are very overwritten but this has just enough background information to build up the story without bogging it down and making it boring. My only critic is the writing is almost too perfect, such as the characters not speaking with contractions but with perfect grammar, this is just a personal preference for me as a reader.
I can’t wait for book 2 because I am now invested and I’ll definitely be one of the first in line to buy a copy when it’s officially released!

A treasure hunt to the lost Crown Jewels of Ireland, slow-burn romance and secret societies? Yes, please! This book delivers a clever mix of historical intrigue, heists, and mystery, all wrapped around a morally grey MMC and a strong, independent and smart FMC.

The twists, hidden clues, time-jumping and unfolding secrets kept me excited to turn every page. This is a historical fiction mystery tied to true events that threw me down multiple rabbit holes that I still can’t stop thinking about. Add a romance with tension and chemistry that build steadily through stolen moments and shared danger and you truly have a top ten favorite in this book! I’m still thinking about it and don’t think I will ever recover. Highly recommend!
