Selene comes to the isolated cabin her grandmother left her and is shocked to find that the rustic exterior hides a modern interior, but it is the secrets hidden here that will change her life forever. The runes carved into the overhead beams that she somehow knows are dragon runes, her grandmother's hidden journals that speak of things that should be impossible - dragons, Fire-Bringers, a secret family history that she has inherited.
Drayke is the Guardian King. An ancient dragon shifter whose job is to protect. Especially to protect the first Fire-Bringer that has been seen in centuries. He fights off rogues and trains her as her Fire-Bringer powers emerge. She is his, but he can't claim her. His dragon fire could destroy her. But Selene has a mind of her own. She knows who she wants. She is destroy to prove that she is strong enough to be his mate. He and his warrior brothers know the real enemy is out there. They prepare for war.
I read several versions of this story as Milly worked on it. I'm happy to say that this is the best one. She stripped out the complications and confusions of previous attempts and it now flows beautifully. Can't wait for the next part of this continuing tale, because this is just the first salvo of the good vs evil battle. Enjoy. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. Wow!
Wasn't sure about this book but couldn't put it down until finished. The fmc, selene, is one of the best characters created. Her snappy, sarcastic responses deserve being compiled into their own book!! A different take on dragon/human relations. Can't wait til the next. Well done, milly taiden!!

Fire bringer
She inherited her grandmother cabin and ancient blood lines. But the Guardian king dragon has found a mate. He must claim before a war breaks out and ancient magic is released. Looking forward to next book.

A Great Intro!
