Julie is a southern California native, a fan of a really good story (preferably a romance with a happily ever after), really good pie (preferably pumpkin)and copious amounts of coffee (preferably Folgers).

She has always enjoyed writing and at one time thought she might be a singer/songwriter. The 'writer' part is that one that stuck.

Julie is obsessed with Pi...the equation and the food. She's allergic to cats, cantaloupe and hates mushrooms. So if you ever want to give her a gift, those are out for sure.

She currently lives with her romance hero husband and two boys in Melbourne, Australia.

Our heroine is Victoria, a woman who's getting married with Josh. She's building a house with him and even though she had been avoiding serious commitment, because of her parents and their failed marriage, he managed to get under her skin and accepted his proposal.

Cameron is trying to pick up his pieces, after his wife, Amanda, left him with the man that she had been cheating on him. He discovers something and he hates secrets, especially when he cares about Victoria and knows that she will be needing him soon when secrets will be revealed.

When shit hits the fan, Cameron is there for her, giving her time to heal her wounds while he's building the castle for his fairy princess. Together they will heal each other and try to get their desired happily ever after.

“When you lose something you thought was real, that experience gives you perfect clarity and I trust that this. What’s happening between us is real.”

So, this was a great read. I enjoyed the writing, the characters, the personalities of secondary characters and Cameron's pursue methods. But I felt like something was missing. Maybe because we didn't really see their relationship and how they bonded, but we only saw that they had dates, they talked and we didn't see more into them. It was like it was skimmed somehow.

The whole concept with the fairy and the castle was sweet, but in my opinion maybe it was also over the top. I mean he was building a home for her without being already together, her realisation of her feelings felt too abrupt and a few things just didn't convince me.

But overall it was a nice read, with people in their effort to pick up their pieces after heartbreak and find the courage to trust other people, when others had broken that trust. It had also a few funny scenes and I appreciated these moments, making this a light read.

“You’re like a bad penny,” I said, squinting at him.

“Sometimes, you need a penny when you least expect it, Victoria. ”

Blooming great…

This review is a bit spoilery so proceed with caution.

I’ll start by saying that I am a huge fan of J.B. Hartnett’s work and I was very happy to be given the opportunity to read and review an ARC of Bride in Bloom. I am overjoyed that my search for the perfect book boyfriend has come to fruition. Ms Hartnett has given us Cameron. The man is almost perfect…sweet, kind, good looking, sexy and a little bit kinky too. I’m a sucker for a sexy tradie. Give me a man with a tool belt, hammer in his hand who also has a brain and I’m drooling. The story is about a lovely sweet woman named Victoria who thinks she is about to marry a wonderful man. Unfortunately things don’t go according to plan and Cameron was a witness to the whole debacle. Cameron himself is getting over a very yucky divorce from a conniving, manipulative, cheating wife. While he was still married he met Victoria and recognised the beauty in her. When they were both single Cameron was determined that Victoria would see the beauty he sees in her and makes it his focus.

J.B. introduced us to some wonderful new characters and some old friends from Nico’s story. Cameron’s family is loving and supportive and his Mum had me laughing from the very beginning. I am hoping that there will be stories for Drew, Kath (maybe even together) and Ruby.

In the previous stories by this author there is an underlying darkness that is sometimes hard to take. This story was different. There were a lot more laughs, some really sweet scenes and some very hot and sexy scenes too. I spent nearly the whole book with a smirk on my face. Sometimes the smirk dropped, but it was never for too long.

My only complaint, was that I thought the deception dragged out too long. I knew it was coming but seemed to take forever to get there. Drove me bonkers.

One of my favourite things about this author is her talent in producing characters that are real people. I love that her heroines realise their partners are not perfect, expect them to make mistakes and an apology goes a long way. I love that the heroes realise that their partners are always right (OK, mostly right), can sometimes get emotional and may need a bit of girl time. It made me laugh that her characters like checking out sexy pictures on Tumblr and they think that no child should know that their parents have sex and know what sex toys are.

J.B. Hartnett you have produced another brilliant book, completely different to the others, but still wonderful in it’s own way. Can’t wait to see what you have for us next.

Do you believe in fairy tales and happily ever afters? Well, if you do Bride in Bloom is the book for you!! This book had me swooning for Cameron Muir. How could you not a love a man who constantly tells you that you are beautiful inside and out.Swoon!!! Thank you J.B. Hartnett for introducing Cameron Muir to the book world. Forget book boyfriend because Cameron is book husband material!!!

#BrideInBloom

Bride in Bloom was a delightful fun read! It had charm, sexiness, and steam written all over this book. Ms. Hartnett was able to make you believe in second chances and that HEA's do exist. I love the playful banter and those oh so steamy sexy times.

To be betrayed and cheated on had destroyed Cameron's world and marriage. Cameron had two choices to sit back and sulk or get the woman, who had always brought a smile to his face. The answer was simple: Victoria.

#BrideBloom

The night before her wedding day, Victoria's life comes crashing down. The HEA ending that she pictured with her fiance became nonexistent when she learns the truth. The truth could have destroyed Victoria but in time, she was able to forgive her ex-fiance and see that they weren't soul mates but just friends. Newly single Victoria wants to start fresh with a new start. And in starting anew, Cameron made sure of the promise he made to Victoria that he will make her see that they belong together.

#BrideBloom2

Cameron is the modern day prince charming and shining knight in armor when he comes to rescue and sweeps Victoria off her feet. He makes Victoria see that he knows everything about her from her likes and dislikes. Even though they weren't officially dating yet, Cameron already took initiative when he decides to built Victoria, her dream home. And what a present it is knowing that he was so serious with his love for her. When they finally made their relationship official, sparks were going off!! They were made for each other and fated. All the hurt and pain was worth it, because it brought them together.

#BrideBloom1

This book was an absolute gem of a sweet romance. It was fun, flirty, sexy, and beautiful. One of the things that I enjoyed about this book was that I didn't hate Josh, the fiance of Victoria. I loved that Victoria and Josh were able to communicate and had the proper closure that they needed. I love the message of this book that just because one door closes, it doesn't mean it's over. Another door is just waiting to be open. And what a beautiful path and journey it led Victoria and Cameron. Thank you Ms. Hartnett for this beautiful book!! You left a big fat smile on my face!!

Well well well .. there is a reason I love J.B Hartnett and her stories . And the reason is that she does not waste her time in dragging situations unnecessarily just to elongate the story for the sake of doing it . Cut and precise , that's how she does it !

This book is the story of Cameron Muir who is divorcing his wife coz the skank be cheating on him . This story also follows Victoria who is marrying her boyfriend of her two years . Unexpected events bring Victoria and Cameron together and the rest is what you need to read to find out !

Reading this book was like reading a kristen Ashley book because it gave me a lot of warm fuzzies . KA books generally have a lot of friends and family , loyalty friendship and respect thing going on and Bride in bloom was all about those as well !

Steamy and funny with a little drama and almost no angst , Bride in bloom is a perfect read for those days when you just wanna read something with not much heartache and headache !

All it took was these simple words to set this all off...

"Remember, when shit goes down, come find me."

Cameron is dealing with the betrayal of all betrayals - his pending divorce to a woman he thought he loved. Only to have that all thrown in his face when he finds out she cheats on him and is carrying another man's baby.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Victoria is getting ready to marry the man of her dreams, Josh. Everything is going great - until all hell breaks loose the night before her wedding, revealing Josh's secret and betrayal of his own for the past two years. Josh plays for the other team and was only using Victoria to lure his jealous lover's feelings out.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Cameron has always had eyes for Victoria, since Josh was his colleague and he never acted on since he was married.

Cameron knew of Josh's secret and when he found out, he was dead set on putting his action into plan. He was going to get the girl.

Never mind that he was so heartbroken in the beginning of the book that he couldn't even unglue himself from the couch, but sure...let's run with this.

Victoria is ready to move on from her "wedding that never happened" and starts taking charge of her life.

She's attracted to Cameron, but doesn't quite seem to understand what his sudden interest in her is (I don't either...but again, let's keep going).

Cameron gets this crazy (crazy to the 1,000,000th power) to start building a castle for his wife to be - Victoria. I mean, the man goes all out. He's already picturing her in this chair that she loves, or raising a family in this home.

All before he even said more than like fifty words to her.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

While some may find it romantic while reading this story, it was kind of creepy.

But, let's keep going.

Cameron was hot to me in the beginning. Then, on top of his creepiness is his cheesiness.

He starts pursuing Victoria in his own weird way and she starts accepting it, with the push of her friends. She also decides to buy her dream wedding dress because she knew she was going to get married one day, this time for real. And she too, jumping on the crazy train, brought this wedding dress before even really talking to Cameron.

From there, it's full freaking steam ahead. All aboard the express train to "Huh-ville. I felt like I missed something. I felt like I must have completely skipped a few chapters for how fast everything just happened.

This story had potential. But, there was a lot "off" that I'm still trying to wrap my head around.

The story was flowing nicely, then all of the sudden, I felt like I had too many glasses of wine. It got choppy, speedy, and cheesy so quickly, my head was spinning.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Another thing that threw me off was there was much too much going on. Too many secondary characters' stories flowing in. Too fast of an introduction to too many characters that I felt were not really necessary in Cam & Tori's story. The basics would've been great - bff's, ex's, family and that's that.

I'm sure with this being the first story of the series, all other characters' stories will unravel, but it just was not necessary this early in the game.

While I am happy these two rather unique characters got their HEA (since they had it all planned it out even before they said boo to each other"), I'm a little hesitant of reading the next story of the series...sigh.

I was rooting for this one. Loved, loved, loved it in the beginning. Even told my best friend to start reading it...and I got to the peak and took a nose dive rather quickly.

Bummer.

What an incredibly beautiful and uplifting romance! I laughed, I cried, and I swooned HARD for Cameron Muir! What a breath of fresh air this was. Ms. Hartnett knows what it takes to reach my heart and pull every emotion from me. Simply brilliant!

This was unlike any other book that I have read. The wedding day is supposed to be the best day in a woman's life. This is a day that she will remember for the rest of her life. Victoria will remember this day, but not for the reason you think. THIS day is when her world fell apart. THIS is the day her heart was broken. The perfect man turned out to be anything but. Secrets come to light that tear Victoria's world apart.

Cameron had a great life. A great job, loving wife (or so he thought). His marriage was a complete lie. His wife's motives are discovered and Cameron ends up crushed.

Victoria and Cameron's worlds collide in this emotional, second chance love story that will melt your heart. This story is about never giving up hope. No matter what life throws at you, never give up. Have the strength to carry on and find that someone who is the other half of your soul. Find someone you can calm you, center you, when the storm comes. Relish in the good, and be the rock the other one needs when you go through the bad. Victoria and Cameron's story was absolutely beautiful. Their slow burning romance left me smitten and content. Fantastic writing, unique and romantic storyline, and an emotional pull that kept me hooked from page one. A true love story that I will always remember.

J.B. Hartnett fans! Jump for joy! We have character crossover from her amazing Leaves series!

Review by Jen Skewes

I love JB Harnett’s writing and was so excited for this book. Up until recently Nico had been my favorite male character, but then Cameron Muir came along and that all changed. There are no words to describe this man and how amazing he is. He is like the Prince that every woman dreams of having. He is just too perfect. Bride in Bloom is the story of how the Prince got his Fairy Princess.

Victoria is all set to marry the love of her life. They are building a house together and a life. But not everything is always as it seems. Her fiancé loves her there is no doubt in that. But she comes to find out that everything that she thought was real was nothing but a lie. Her fiancé was not the man she thought he was and in the blink of an eye her world and heart were shattered. Enter Cameron Muir.

Cameron has been dealing with his own heartache and betrayal. His ex wife was one lying, cheating, manipulating bitch (at least that's how I saw it) and all he wants is to get rid of all things related to her and just move on. For the past two years he as admired Victoria, his boss’s fiancé, from afar. She is the type of woman that you fall in love with, who you know from the instant you see her that she is the perfect woman. He knows that a part of her life is about to explode and he vows to be there for her when it does. When he tells her that one day she will need him, Victoria doesn't exactly understand nor does she think there will be a time when she actually does need him. But when it all came crashing down, he was exactly what she needed.

Cameron knows that Victoria is “The One” but he needs to make her see that and want it as much as he does. There was somewhat of insta-love in this book. Maybe it was more of an instant connection. I am not sure but Cameron just knew that Victoria was the one without even really knowing her. But here’s the thing it completely worked. He had known her for two years and the first time he saw her there was just something about her that caught his eye. She was beautiful, no doubt but he could see beneath that beautiful exterior and see how beautiful she was on the inside as well. And while he may not have known too much about her he knew her better than anyone. He was not like her previous boyfriends or fiancé who she seemed to do things for to make them happy. He knew HER, he knew what made her happy. An that is why it worked. As the story goes on and they start spending more time together and opening up to each other you see it and you feel it. You feel why they belong together and you get why they both just knew!

People always say when you meet The One, you just know. And while Cameron may have known, it took a little time and healing for Victoria to see it but when she did she was going to take it all and not let it go. I loved the way Cameron went about it all. He was building their castle so to speak and planning a life together but at the same time he was also taking it slow. He needed Victoria to see how much they belonged together. And here’s the thing, they both felt it and knew it but they still both needed to take their time with each other. They need to get to really know each other and regardless of how much they “felt it” they needed this time. And it all just flowed and in a beautiful way these two slowly fell in love with each other.

They way Cameron woo’ed her and the little gestures just completely melted me. Everything this man did he did it with her in mind. He knew what she wanted and what she needed and he just wanted to make her happy. When he told her he would be there for her he meant it and he was. I cannot put into words how wonderful this man was. He is sweet, and sexy all rolled into one. He has this way of talking sweet but yet dirty at the same time. I loved Victoria. I honestly give her so much credit for the way she handled things. I would have been one hell of a bitch and as angry as she was the loving side of her took over and she just understood and wanted to move on.

This was such a beautiful fairy tale like story. Cameron and Tori will completely melt your heart when they are together. I loved that we get to see some of our fave characters from Nico. I honestly had no idea that this was a spinoff of that series and was so excited when I realized that it was. JB Hartnett completely captured me with this story from the very beginning. I did not want to put it down. From the moment I met Cameron he made me laugh and had me from the start. This story is sweet, romantic, sexy and fun. I hope we get to see more of these characters in the future. Fantastic job.

Bride in Bloom was a delightful read. Cam and Victoria knew each other distantly. Both were in relationships with different people and when things took a turn, they found one another. These characters were sweet and realistic. I could see the group of friends hanging out in California. And the imagery was so perfect. I could see the places in Laguna Beach as the author described. It made me slightly jealous.

I enjoyed reading about the romantic gestures that Cam made. It brought softness and beauty to a sad breakup. I felt for Cam, his scenario was just plain awful and heartbreaking. But I loved that he took that energy and channeled it into something beautiful. And Victoria, her drama was way worse than anything I could have imagined happening. I was shocked but again she was able to grow from it and do something for herself.

I recommend this book to readers that are in search of a sweet read with hot scenes. 4 smooches for Bride in Bloom.

Yeah, this book is good. Not good. Fantastic. No, more like beautiful, uplifting, lovely, heartwarming, special, powerful.
It's a beautiful love story, but it's also so much more.
The writing is just captivating. Truly beautiful, a work of art. The storyline is griping and intense but also funny and charming. Not only did I fall in love with all of the characters but visually I could see the story clearly in my mind. I just love when there is very vivid imagery in a book that connects to the story.

I loved Victoria and Cameron. They were real and inspiring. They brought out the best in each other and those around them. They didn't bring extra drama into their lives or fixate on the negative. I enjoyed them immensely.

The raw emotions I felt throughout this book, the journey I was taken on from beginning to end was just amazing.

Bride in Bloom was more than amazing, it was such a pure delight story about two people who suffered both from their love life,
This story wasn’t your usual romance ; it was written in such surprising, interesting way, deliberately taken romance in the opposite way!

But what could you do when you realized that one day that everything you had, wasn't what was really mattered? Like you were with the wrong soul and that you had to suffered to find your soulmate, the one who complete you? And that when you came to this statement you did everything you had to be with that person, no wanting to waste your time anymore? You had to let the person healed and to do everything in your power to show her that you were meant to be.

It was so unexpected and I was totally hooked, mesmerized by Victoria and Cameron! Cameron was a modern « knight in armor », taking what he wanted without pushing Victoria, wooing her in a such romantic way. You had to read it because if I told you some of his actions, I will make some spoilers and I can't do that! But trust me this book is incredibly romantic and I was seduced by this modern prince!

Victoria thought that she had everything that made her happy but she was wrong, taking a path where lies could be a huge part of her love life! Caring, funny, witty, this woman was such a ray of light making everyone around her attracted by her presence. Cameron noticed that after all he was going through. When he wanted something, he moved fast, but aware that Victoria needed time to figure out things. What was so very entertaining that everyone around her knew what was going to happen and she was oblivious at first, even if he was hitting into her, and was revealing his feelings, and damn It was hot! (Guy with a beard and working as a carpenter, and craftsman)

Cameron, was at the same time very protective, kind, and so sensitive! I think I've got a crush on this guy! He was sometimes very cryptic in his behavior, sometimes kind of bossy but in a such sexy way. He suffered so much from his ex and he was kind of crushed by her betrayal. But at thirty five years old, he had no time to waste. He had one goal and he was very smart about planning all his affairs.
I liked how he let her in, without pushing her and let's just say that he wasn't afraid to tell his feelings to anyone, and there are some very priceless interactions with his brother or his family!

Not only the main characters were great, but I couldn't not talk about all their friends and family who had an important place in this book! Cameron's family was totally endearing as their new friends, Nico, Zack, and their wives! All of them were hilarious and have to the story and interesting depth in the story, consistance! Victoria’s BFF were amazing too!

As you might guess, I was hooked by Victoria and Cameron's Journey, and seeing how they evolved together and finally found their happiness was a pure enchantment! I highly recommend this book!
Can't wait for the next one! Not only the cover was magnificent but the story equally! Book crush alert!

***I received an copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***

I always look forward to starting a J.B. Hartnett book I just love the way she makes me feel during and after reading one. Bride in Bloom is the first in the Beachy Bride series and after reading the first page I just knew I was going to love it and I did.

Bride in Bloom tells the story of Victoria and Cameron Muir two people who have suffered heartache, but both whom still want to believe in love. It is very much a story about second chance love, real love, letting go of the past, moving forward, never giving up, and taking a chance on love again.

“When you know, you know. And when you’ve lost everything you thought was real, you recognise real when you see it you just have to trust it”

Victoria was a sweetheart and I was feeling for her as she discovers all that she felt was true was not. I admired the way she handles things after she found out the truth. Cameron Muir wow did I love him. He sexy, a little bit of an alpha, he was attentive, enduring, and considerate, and knows how to woo a lady. I just love that he doesn't just tell Victoria with his word how he feels about her, he shows her with his actions.

“I’m a man who, when he loves. Doesn’t do it half-assed. Why hold back with the people you love? We aren’t here for very long, so I figure we need to make the most of it”

“He doesn’t say much but he’s talking to you Tori…. These little things the gifts, the notes … They are huge

I loved the storyline. It was romantic, charming, funny, and flirty. There were a little angst and drama but not too much. Oh, and let not forget how hot and steamy it was at times. Love the hot sexy scenes. The only frustrating thing for me whilst reading this book was that sleep, and work got in the way, and therefore I couldn’t read it in one sitting.

“I’m worth the risk. You need to believe in it with me. You’re worth the risk”

There were some great realistic secondary characters that added to the story. Loved Cameron’s family, especially his mum, she made me laugh so many times. I can’t wait to read their stories in the rest of the series. My mind is going in overdrive working out whom the next book and the future books in the series will be about. I have my theories, and I can wait to see if there are right.

Oh, and the other thing I loved and made me very happy was its connection to J.B’s Leaves series. That series has a special place in my heart, and I think that’s what made me fall in love with this book even more. Even though, all the characters weren't in the story. I loved that they were somewhere in the background just hovering the thought of those characters being so close just made me smile.

Overall, I loved this one, it has a different feel from her other books, but still brilliant read. J.B Hartnett is an amazing writer, who knows how to write a great romance story that make you feel with great characters. I love her writing style always so descriptive, and I felt I was there at Laguna Beach watching it all unfold. I loved being on Victoria and Cameron heartfelt journey. I didn’t even mind that there wasn’t an epilogue, which is usually as must for me, as I know there will be more Victoria and Cameron in the rest of the series.

“I think we both know that with us, there’s a beginning and a middle, but there will never be an end.”

Bride in Bloom was one of those books that made me happy, swooning and grinning from ear to ear!! A must read for all you romantics out there.

If Cinderella found her Prince Charming after meeting once and having that perfect shoe fit than this book can fit right in that category. This was sooo a fairy tale type story!!!

EEEK!!! What a story!!!!
Full disclosure here. I didn't get the how's and whys and for a second it did add some confusion but I quickly went on reading and what developed was an enjoyable, sweet, pull the rug under me kind of read. The beginning I felt as though I was a little thrown in, not quite getting it. By the end though? I got it!!! There was a bit of insta-something and at times it was a little too perfect but, on a whole it played out really well. It was a full story. The horrible, the better, the good, the sweet and the total and complete awe!!!!

I really liked Cameron. That opening chapter goes on my short list of the best male lead POV's that had me cracking up. His family, particularly his mom was the best. I can easily say that Cameron's interaction with his mother was my favorite part of this story. I also think she was very realistic with a great side of funny. No matter the age her son was hers and she'd care for him. Whether that's cooking his favorite meal or helping rid the house of his very soon to be EX-cheating-bag-of-b*tch-wife!!! Her idea of what his real bride would be like was refreshing.

"You'll know, Cameron. You'll know because even with everything you've been through, you'll take one look at he rand be willing to take that chance. She'll be a princess and she won't even know it."

This book didn't have a ton of climbing flirtation and that was a downfall for me but Cameron knew there was something in Victoria and he would be there when her world fell apart. He knew it would. He gave her fair warning. He'd just wait... Cameron is no doubt total swoonheart in this story. He did things that we all wished happened in real life. He saw her, knew her, knew what she liked. He took note.

"I'm falling in love with a girl I don't know very well, but I know she's what my mom would call a 'fairy princess'. I'm giving her a shop she'll be proud of, and in five months, hopefully less, I'll be finished with the castle I'm building for her. But I'm gonna need help from the people who already love her and know her better than I do."

"Are you on medication?"

"No, I'm completely sane. But when you know, you know. And when you've lost everything you thought was real, you recognized real when you see it. You just have to trust it."

Victoria, the bride to be to a cheating a**wipe who's entire wedding wasn't what she wanted...heck nothing was really what she wanted. She was settling and she knew it. Now is where it gets a little tricky. I loved that when I was hit with it I didn't see it coming. Obviously, I thought I knew what was up but that up never entered my mind. The fact alone that I didn't guess is a huge plus in my book. When it all played out I said 'no way' as I grinned. What became of her almost marriage was a lovely new twist to read about and I was thrilled will so many things about it. That was of course after I was wanted to rip his balls off. After all is revealed and all is healed you see so many sights of love.

Even for me this was a bit much on the instant love/connection part but once you've read it you'll realize it did just what it was meant to. We read to escape. We read to dream. No ones life is perfect so when we read we want magic. Bride in Bloom was just that for me and Cameron made magic for Victoria

What happens when true love takes you by surprise and turns your world upside and doesn't let go? Well, in J.B. Hartnett's new book, Bride in Bloom, the first in her Beachy Bride series, you will find out! This is a fabulous story with lots of love, passion and intense emotions that will keep you on the edge. The characters that the author creates are beautifully scripted, while portraying an extraordinary plot which will drive you crazy.

Cameron has been burnt in the worst way. When his world seems to be crashing around him, he is reminded of the one woman that makes him smile. The one woman who has peeked his interest over the past few years, his fairy princess.

Victoria loves with her whole heart, but she's been hurt in the past. She thought she could trust again, but circumstances has made her vulnerable. However, love has a fascinating way of shining through in our darkest hour. An unlikely man comes into her life, one that has intrigued her from the moment she met him. Captured by his insistent manner, Victoria is swept away by a love so fierce that she cannot deny it.

This book gave me such an enormous sense of love and beauty that I was smiling for most of the story. I was filled with a magnificent feeling which kept me in love with the novel until the very end. I was swept away by the carefully crafted design. Victoria and Cameron's story reminded me of how love can bloom in the worst of times, while discovering the best of times. Thank you for sharing this delicately blossoming romance adventure, J.B.!

It’s not a secret that I LOVE J. B. Harnett’s writing. There’s something about her writing and her books that ticks all the boxes for me. I love the way she weaves the words to form a beautiful story tapestry that holds my attention from the beginning to the end. Every thread plays an important part and without each thread the story would fall apart.
Because I’ve read all of her books, I’ve also noticed that she has grown as a writer. But not only that, she’s not afraid to try something new and different. And Bride in Bloom is something different but also something spectacular.
I fell in love with Victoria (Tor) and her best friend, Kath and that brings me to the thing I like best about this author’s writing – her sense of humour. Maybe it’s because it resonates with mine, but she always make me snort. That’s when I’m not crying or sighing.
Which brings me to Cameroon (Cam). Where is this man and does he have any hot friends? He is my version of the perfect man! HUGE sigh! I also fell in love with him and his family.
The characters need to be a BIG part of any book I read. I either have to love them or hate them and, besides Tor and Cam, there were many characters who drew these emotions out of me while I reading Bride in Bloom. Apart from the new characters, it was also good to revisit some of the characters from Nico, the third book in The Leaves series. Who can forget ‘naked shark guy’? If you haven’t read Nico, you need to read it now, preferably before reading Bride in Bloom.
I just realised I haven’t mentioned the story. The story drew me in from the very beginning. Every so often, the author would drop a nugget of information that made me want to keep reading, to find out more. I also became frustrated because I couldn’t ‘talk’ to the characters.
So, it you want to read a book that leaves you with a huge smile on your face when you’re finished, you need to read Bride in Bloom. But I also have a word of warning, you will want to read more books written by this author when you’ve finished.
I gave Bride in Bloom 5 beautiful stars.

A man, who suffers a betrayal that ends his marriage and bruises his soul, discovers that a woman with a gentle spirit teeters on the brink of catastrophe.

And so we meet and Cameron Muir and Victoria Harper, characters so rich and real that I'm sad that they aren't really a part of my life. Cam is hard working, deeply romantic, with the courage of his convictions, despite the cool cruelty of his ex-wife. He's kind, sexy, and skilled with his hands; a real man who nobody would have blamed if he'd closed up his emotional shop. Instead he sees the promise that is Victoria and makes it his mission to see it fulfilled.

Victoria is a bright light to her friends and family, but with a wound inside that is ripped open by her near miss with a bad situation. At first she's not interested in what Cam is offering, but his open heart and keen perception, and yes, his persistence, begin to change her mind.

This book is filled with family and friends, who are well drawn, with distinct personalities - more people you'd really like to know. They're funny and snarky and imperfect. I laughed throughout the whole story, since no matter how bad something might be, someone at some point cracked wise or said something outrageous. The dialog is funny and witty and vulgar and wonderful. Some of this cast of characters returns from J. B. Hartnett's book, Nico, also set in Laguna - it was great to see them - like catching up with old friends,

With Cam and Tory working their way toward each other and the Greek chorus of friends and family revolving around them, this book tackles some difficult issues, but it's done with a light enough touch that the romance woven by Cam and Tory sparkles and glitters at its heart. The telling of the story keeps us intrigued from the beginning, always wanting to know what comes next and the writing supports that with an underlying structure that holds the whole emotional, romantic, thing together beautifully.

I loved this book because it made me feel great for having read it. I was left with a silly grin and my own inner romantic feeling better about herself than she has in a long time.

I was given an ARC with no expectations.

Can I give this book 10 amazing stars ?! Pretty please !!

I don't fall easily with a book, but with this one has been love at first page.
This book WAS ABSOLUTELY-FUCKING-PERFECT (as Cameron would say).
It's beautifully written, very easy to read and a total, total delight.I thoroughly enjoyed every single damn page of it.

I laughed, I cried,I hated (at some point) but most of all I LOVED IT.The storyline is so intense, funny and charming. It completely takes you in and makes sure you don't escape it. It also leaves you begging and wishing to read more of it.

What had started ugly for Victoria or Tori how her friends are calling her, turned into a complete fairy tale after she'd started to know Cameron a little bit more than she'd actually did. The same goes for the extremely sexy, smart handyman Cameron.
They've both been burnt but they're lives have changed soon after those heartbreaking moments.

OH.MY.GOD. I WANT MORE OF THIS STORY ♥

I reviewed my personal copy of this book for Wicked Reads.

Bride in Bloom gave me exactly what I want from a romance novel. A fun, loving and slightly quirky heroine, a sexy, hard working alpha who goes after what he wants, a cast of interesting characters and a great story.

Tori and Cameron both experience betrayal and have their hearts stomped on. Their coming together is a wonderful story of two brave souls who still have hope. Cameron is an unapologetically romantic hero and incredible hot. His actions and words had me swooning. Tori is forgiving and loving and I kind of wanted to be her.

This is the perfect blend of romantic, funny and sexy with just the right amount of heart break and angst. I laughed, I cried and I smiled. I really smiled a lot during this book I just couldn't help myself. I loved Bride in Bloom.

First of all I love the cover! It drew me in and made me one-click it straight away. It's been sitting on my kindle for a while so I'm glad I finally read it!

Though the beginning is full of heartbreak it is also so humorous. I loved the way Cam's family rallied around him they were so sweet and fun, and angry on his behalf that I instantly connected with them. I found this throughout the whole book, all of the side characters were interesting and kept me turning the pages. Of course the main characters did too!

Victoria is a fun and whimsical woman who was getting married for all the wrong reasons and though she loved her husband-to-be it was obvious they weren't meant for each other. I admired her strength in dealing with the fallout. Cameron has to be one of the most romantic princes ever in this total fairytale. I loved him instantly, he truly was amazing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this unconventional fairytale romance and look forward to reading more from this author. I particularly want to read Froddo's story, he's so unique!

I was given a copy of this book for review.
This story is such a unique find and I am honored to be given the opportunity to read it. Victoria is sweet and looking forward to spending her life with Josh. The night before the wedding she is faced with some unexpected news that alters her plans. I must admit she handled this more gracefully than I would have. Cameron has been dealt an emotional upheaval as well. Through everything these two characters are pulled together and the saying things happen for a reason is demonstrated in this story. This story will definitely pull you in and it has enough humor to make this story really work. I adore these characters and would definitely recommend this book.

4.5 Crowns.

Book 1 in The Beachy Bride series.

Victoria Harper, or Tori as she is known to her friends, is counting down to her big day. With marriage and a new home with her fiancée Josh on the horizon, the girl that was always scared of making that final commitment is giving her trust and taking a chance in the hopes she will get her happily ever after. It doesn't matter that Josh is away with work more than he is home, that her mum can be a raving bitch, that the dress she has chosen isn't the one she really wanted or that the house that Josh has built for her is nothing more than a glorified cement box. No, she is happy and in love...

Cameron Muir has been to hell and back in the last few months. Having been married and expecting a child, his world came crashing down around him when his wife up and left after lying to him. He is now left to pick up the pieces of his life and he intends to do that without living with the memories of his failed marriage in the home he loved. A Carpenter by trade, he works for Josh and his business partner Rick. He has spent the last 2 years admiring Josh's beautiful fiancée from afar. He hasn't lusted after because he thought he loved his wife. But Victoria is a girl loved by everyone and she never fails to bring a smile to all the guys when she comes on site to view the monstrosity that Josh is building her.

When Cameron discovers a secret, he gives a ultimatum. He also uses it as his chances to build a love that he feels for a woman that could be his Fairy Princess (in more ways than one).

Will Victoria ever be able to trust again? And will Cameron be the man who deserves 'THE DRESS'?

*

Sometimes you just can't beat a good, heartwarming romance. This book was exactly what I needed after a few heavier and mediocre books. Lets start with the cover. I am a total cover whore and I loved it as soon as I saw it. It is beautiful, fun and flirty - more importantly it directly relates to the book. The story itself, well lets just say it is the perfect balance of romance, steam, swoony hero, wit and humour. It is a good old slice and a fine example of a perfect summer chick lit read. Nothing too heavy or thought provoking, just a light, fun and uplifting story.

I would usually give you my thoughts on the main characters here, but to be honest I loved this book because of the whole cast the author has created. Yes Victoria is a girl every woman would want as her BFF, she is honest, loyal and easy going. Cameron, he is special. Obviously a hopeless romantic and self confessed 'Pussy' I dare anyone not to fall in love with his romantic ways and dirty mouth. The mother's were hilarious, as were the best friends and brother. I can even go as far as saying I liked Josh.

Above everything though, this book is filled with witty one lines and laugh out loud moments.

"The beach is ..." he looked over his shoulder, "a three-minute walk. I could pull out my cock and dip it into the ocean it's that close."
"Yeah, too bad about your small cock. Mine's there now, getting a tan as we speak." I grinned.

It is your perfect holiday read and one that I recommend. I now look forward to Katherine in Gold. I just hope it's out in time for my holiday.

I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Cameron. I love this book. I love these characters. I have a crush on this author. The writing is wonderful, the story amazing, and the characters outstanding. I haven't laughed this much while reading in months and it was just what I needed. Bride in Bloom has the perfect blend of humor, sweet, sexy, hot, loving, friendship, angst and awe. I want a Cameron all for myself. Not only is he hot and sexy, he works with his hands and he's the perfect mixture of manly and sensitive. He never has an issue voicing his feelings for Victoria even though they sound crazy. He's open and honest and isn't afraid to go after what he wants. Victoria is gorgeous, funny, kooky, smart and strong. She's one of my favorite leading ladies! Victoria is about to marry someone else and Cameron knows it's not going to end well. Cameron had his heart broken by the one person he thought he could trust the most. When Cameron vows to capture Victoria's heart, she thinks he's sexy but crazy, but the more he proves that he is serious the more she believes. Can Cameron and Victoria overcome their trust issues and find their happily ever after? Will Victoria let herself fall for the right man?

She had a fire that made you want to bait her so you could experience that passion first hand, and a vulnerability that made you want to wrap her in your arms and protect her from the big, bad world. And fuck her senseless at the same time.

"It's the beard," I said to my friends matter-of-factly. "It makes me want to just climb up onto his face, hold onto his man-mane, and take a ride. Wait, did I just say that out loud?"

"No, seriously, Cam. You're that guy who loved The Notebook, aren't you?" his brother teased.
"Have you seen the movie?" I asked.
"Yeah, Amy made me watch it."
"And?"
"And, thank fuck she broke up with me so I don't have to sit through it again, holding her and listening to her cry."
I shook my head. "Take a page out of Noah's diary, you fuckhead. Watch the women swarm, big brother."

"He said it would look great in this house." I chuckled.
"I bet it would," Kath muttered with a grin. "I bet a lot of things would look good in this house. Me, you, sister-wives…"

"I've known you less than five minutes and can say with certainty that your ex is a fucking fool." Nico said.
"You're dreamy," Kath told him.

"I am not a special kind of stupid, babe," he said.

Bride in Bloom, by J.B. Hartnett, was such a fun and romantic reading escape! From the beautiful book cover to the captivating characters, this book was filled with funny, tender, steamy and emotional moments.

Victoria and Cameron were really great characters to follow. They both suffered from an unexpected betrayal caused by the people who they loved the most. It's hard to put all the pieces of a broken heart together, but Victoria and Cam created an incredible bond that turned into true love. Cameron knew without a doubt that Victoria was meant to be his ''Fairy Princess'' He was incredibly romantic and determined. He asked Victoria to give him time to prove that he was ''The One" Their relationship started with stolen kisses and romantic gestures and turned out to be one extremely heartwarming love story.

I had such a blast reading about Victoria and Cam. Their story kept me glued to my seat from beginning to end! Be prepared to swoon a lot! Cam is such an amazing person! Every little thing that he did for Victoria made me love him even more! I loved how Victoria trusted Cam with her fragile heart. Nobody understands her pain like he does. He made every single moment that they had together memorable.

This was my first time reading a book by J.B. Hartnett. I have her Leaves series waiting on my TBR list, but I still did not have time to read it. I will make sure I read them soon. Bride in Bloom was written from dual POV's and I really liked it! Her writing style is really captivating and it's easy to relate to the characters. This book would make the perfect romantic comedy :)

The cast of supporting characters in this book were amazing! Friends and family are important when you are going through a rough time. They had a big role in this story and I loved to get to know each and every one of them. I'm not sure who will get their book next, but I'm crossing my fingers for Kath. I really liked her! She's super fun and she's an amazing friend to Victoria.

I give, Bride in Bloom, by J.B. Hartnett, 4 romantic, delightful, heart-warming, second-chance-at-love stars!

For starters i like to say that my thought about this book considered it amazing. I bought this book because the Cover and blurb really captivate me. This is the first book of the Breachy Bride Series and is also the first book I read from this author.
The story is about Victoria and Cameron. Victoria is planning to get married soon, but different scenarios got in the path of her happily ever after. Cameron is getting divorced because his wife cheat on him. Although Victoria and Cameron are both broken, they also want to believe in the existence of true love and they both know that the only way to restore their life is to give each other everything they got to get a better future.

There are many things I love about this book. The first and most important are the characters. In my case I fell in love with the male character, Cameron Muir. He is not the perfect book boyfriend he is the perfect book HUSBAND. His words and actions are totally swoon worthy. Cameron knows how to fight to get what he wants and he isn't ashamed to show his feeling to the world, only to get love back in his life. When Victoria life came thorn into pieces, he knows is his chance i he will prove he is worthy of the risk.

“I´m worth the risk, You need to believe in it with me. You’re worth the risk Victoria”

As the story goes one he always prove that he is totally swoon worthy.

“I wanted to watch you bloom. I wanted to be the man who made you blossom and here I am, face to face with the most beautiful flower I’ve ever seen and now it’s mine.”

As for the female character, Victoria, is a good and brave women. I like her because even though her life seems to have nothing worth fighting for, she hopes that things will get better. She is very determined to get the best of life and fight for it.

“He was worthy of the dress, of my heart, of everything. And most important he was THE ONE.”

The other reason I like this book is because the way is written. J.B. Hartnett didn't waste tine dragging the story through unnecessarily scenarios. The story is Precise and well written.
I totally recommend it as a Must Read.
