Robert Dean has outdone himself with this collection of essays. He is one of those writers with a voice you can't help but keep reading, and rewards your attention with humor and connection. His work is gritty, raw, and real; a true joy to read (even when the subject matter is messy). I decided about 18 pages in that I needed to order more copies to give to friends, and I can't wait to read whatever he writes next because it's definitely going to be a ride.
