I’d always been an expert at blowing off steam. Ready to indulge in the finer things in life, I grabbed opportunities with both hands.
In this case, those opportunities took the form of four gorgeous alphas.
How was I supposed to know they all belonged to the same pack?
Or that they were billionaires?
Or that my symptoms were from pregnancy and not from being crushed under the mountain of stress when I had left town to take care of my recovering father?
Not all the alphas are excited about the baby news. I can’t be with only part of a pack. It’s an all-or-nothing situation, and while they might have the wealth to make this easy on me, I wasn’t exactly planning on being a single mom.
Maybe it would be better to be alone.
I have friends and family who would help me. Except…I can’t shake the craving I have for those alphas, and more than that, I don’t want to shake it.
My baby deserves dads, and I deserve a pack, whether they want me or not.
“You’re a phantom haunting every breath, and I think I might suffocate if I didn't have you with me now. Tell me you’ll have no regrets.”
Bonding the Billionaires is the second instalment in the adult why choose omegaverse series, Bonding the Babes. Each novel is an interconnected standalone so while they follow separate packs there is overlap of characters. Written in multi first person POV the story follows an omega who unknowingly finds herself drawn into the lives of one pack of alphas over the course of a week. When these four encounters lead to a surprise none of them expected it becomes clear this pack and this omega needs to decide...are they looking for a bond or are they better off alone?
This book hits hard with angst and a twist I was not expecting.
Clover is an omega used to the high life thanks to her friend and her friend's pack. She's still trying to decide her future but is playful and loves to explore. This leads to her finding herself in the arms of Avery, Logan, Parker, and Hunter. Avery, Logan, and Hunter are fully ready to embrace a pack life with a beautiful omega and you can see that even in the levity of the first meetings. Parker is the more angsty alpha who pushes Clover away for fear of thinking she will use them. This tension creates A LOT of angst that someone was a bit much for me.
This book is super spicy - 5 spicy peppers out of 5 spicy peppers. There are about thirteen spicy scenes with the first appearing around the 3% mark as our characters enjoy quick flings together and then don't expect to see each other again (particularly for Clover). Initially spice is one on one but it does progress to multi partner scenes that up the intensity. Spice takes place in public locations at times, has knotting and slick, double penetration, and plenty of dirty talk. There is no MM in this as the focus is on Clover.
The story itself doesn't have a very clear storyline because the pregnancy doesn't really become a bigger issue until halfway through the book. It very much felt like vibes with a whole lot of relationship drama with no clear purpose. Clover is trying to decide her future. Logan is dealing with his mother using him for money. Parker is worried about his family and pack being used for money. The other three are just there for the ride. I enjoyed Clover's fathers and the support they provided. I liked the cameos of the previous characters. I got annoyed with Parker and Clover's dynamic but it does settle and his redemption is cute. The climax is brought on by a plot element I was not expecting and I felt really was a bit off but it does hit on an emotional level. The ending is sweet and ends off on a good note.
“If any snack understands the pack life, it’s a Pringle. Have you seen how many they shove in a tube?”
I really enjoyed reading this book! In fact, at 3 am I heard it calling my name and needed to pick it back up (so I am le tired). The FMC, Clover, is such a fun and feisty character- I really loved being along for her ride, and what a ride it was! She has a total pampered princess vibe, but in reality? She’s got some depth that made me really want to root for her! The vibes were super fun and I had a LOT of laughs at Clover’s antics! Overall definitely a really fun read that swept me along and I am so happy to have been here!
The Vibes ❤️Feisty & Fun❤️
What’s Inside ❤️ Omegaverse ❤️ MFMMM ❤️ FMC with Princess attitude (but really pretty awesome) ❤️ Billionaire Pack (duh) ❤️ Pregnancy ❤️ “Good Boy” ❤️ Hand Necklaces ❤️ One Night Stands ❤️ Accidental Bonding ❤️ Kidnapping
I do think that overall there was a scarcity of details about the men’s lives. For a few of them it felt like it was barely mentioned what they did for professions. For the amount of book there was I would have liked a bit more depth to the male characters.
Overall 4.25/5 stars ⭐️
I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you!
A book that I can only describe as a journey full of unexpected and unconventional surprises but I mean, with a character as Clover, it was a given… this omega is witty, a little reckless but she just knows exactly her worth and it’s going to make you work for it!
This book delivers the most spontaneous meet cutes, accidental bonds and a surprise pregnancy that keeps pivoting the story every few pages but that makes it dynamic and interesting, you just keep wondering how they’re going to make it work….
It is really interesting how the pack worked out, it’s cute that the most reckless and fun members are brought to earth by the most serious and practical members and even though some are a tough nut to crack (yes, I’m seeing you Parker!!) at the end they all evolve together into a cute family that was so pretty to read.
I have to say that i wasn’t expecting that plot twist at the end, it really made the whole book come together and I was holding my breath the whole time! It was really good!
If you loved the first instalement and wonder happened to Clover. The authors are back with Clover's story and this pink loving omega is about to get her world turn upside down. Clover was a go getter and loved how she put her family and friends first to make sure that she could help them . It made her endearing and why the guys had to work hard. I love how the tables were turned and how Clover didn't let guys have their way. She made them grovel to make up and wouldn't let them win easy.
This book was perfect addition to the series and it was ironic how she ended up pregnant and theme for the series. Devoured it on release day and can't wait for the next book from these two authors
I got an early copy of this book and thoroughly enjoyed it! Clover was an absolute hoot and enjoyable FMC, I appreciated the way she took no crap and was willing to stand up for herself. The pack was so sweet except I was ready to smack Parker over the head but knew he'd eventually come around.
I dnf at 30% I really didn't like the MFC she came off as an entitled brat. Also I don't like the way she acted when they found out that she was sleeping with them all....
Incredible story, with some pretty decent groveling from the one that needed to. A bunch of favourite tropes ticked, including accidental bonding. The men are all so different personality wise, making it such a well-rounded book and easy to follow. I need to go see if I can find Willows' book now because this was incredible. Ticked all my happy omegaverse boxes. What a great first book for the year.
I loooooove Bonding the Babes. The first book still reigns as my favorite, but I still really enjoyed this one. We read Clover, Hunter, Avery, Parker, and Logan's story in this book, and it was a rollercoaster of constant laughs and just sweet love overall.
Clover, our sassy, princess omega that has the brains, but everyone assumes that just because she has a nice rack and blonde hair that she wouldn't. I loved this aspect because - although, I'm not a blonde - I've seen and heard my fair share of pre-judgements toward blondes. This story gives those who have gone through something similar a voice and a relatable story, and an FMC who proves that stigmas aren't always what they're cracked up to be. I loved her fire and her humor. I was iffy about Clover at first, but she definitely won me over.
Avery, our puppy-like, unhinged, ooey-gooey alpha that I'm absolutely obsessed with. You cannot tell me that his character wasn't absolutely amazing in this book. He had me laughing so many times, and his OTT ways to spoil his angel just had me melting like butter on a biscuit. I loved everything about his character. From his personality to his choice of career. He was literally perfect. *chef's kiss*
Logan, our reformed ex-MC member alpha. I felt so bad for him with his background and how shitty his parents were. He's what I would picture as a big, beefy, cuddly, tattooed teddy bear of a man. And the whole "mama" nickname? Dear Santa, I want a real-life Logan for Christmas, gobbless. 🙏🏼
Parker, our reluctant, protective of his pack, redhead alpha. I didn't hate him as much as I thought I would. In fact, I don't think I even disliked him all that much. His reasonings, in my opinion, were justified other than the fact that he assumed Clover was a gold digger purely on what she looked like. Pretty shitty, Park. I do think with having such a luxurious lifestyle and no real guidance for real life, non-rich lifestyles so really his parents failed him there. The ending made me swoon, love that for him.
Hunter, our career-driven, record label CEO alpha. With Hunter, I adored the aspect of him, but there really wasn't a lot to go off of. I think I barely found out his hair color was dark at the very end of the book, and there were two different instances where it stated his eyes were green and then blue. It was hard to connect with a character when you couldn't picture his features. Maybe I missed it, and that's on me. I do agree with other reviews, though, he was overshadowed, and there wasn't much information on him because he was always gone and committed to his company.
The only reason why it wasn't a solid five for me is that the features weren't all distinguished right away on half of the characters, so it was hard to put a face to the name.
The spice was definitely spicy in this book - with the amount of scenes and group action it was easy to give it four chilis. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I absolutely loved this book, and the series is amazing in its own right. Melissa Huxley and Lexie Quinn make a fantastic author duo, and I will absolutely continue reading their stories. This book hit several of my favorite tropes pregnancy, billionaires, second chance, and accidental bonding; it delivered on all of them.
Clover is an omega who moves from Seattle to LA to help care for her best friend Meadow and Meadow’s sweet little bundle of joy, Forest. Clover is fiercely self-reliant and never hesitates to stand up for what she believes in or call out injustice. She’s strong, compassionate, and incredibly refreshing as a main character.
Over the course of a single week, Clover unknowingly meets four different alphas; each encounter unforgettable. What she doesn’t realize at first is that they’re all part of the same pack. Avery is the jokester with total golden retriever energy. Logan is tattooed and intimidating on the outside but has the softest heart. Hunter is the former musician turned workaholic. And Parker is the pack’s worrywart, always convinced someone is out to take advantage of them.
I didn’t like Parker at the beginning of the book, but he really grew on me and ultimately became one of my favorites. I loved seeing the pack come together for Clover and stand up for her, even when one of their own caused tension and rifts within the group.
Learning about Clover’s parents and having them make an appearance added a very touching layer to the story and left me wanting to know more about them. Meadow and her pack being involved kept me emotionally invested, and Maggie is such an intriguing character, I can’t wait for her to get a pack of her own.
The accidental bonding paired with the shock of discovering she’s already several months pregnant made this book an absolute must-read for me. I cannot wait to dive into the next book in this series; whatever these amazing authors release next.
Bonding The Billionaires by Melissa Huxley & Lexie Quinn ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⤷ What a ride! Watch out for the glitter! ⤷ I absolutely fell in love with all these characters! I was living for Clover’s sassy, funny, and at times reckless personality! All the meet-cutes with the mmcs were done perfectly and so memorable! Both of these authors have written some of my favorite omegaverse books; this one definitely measures up to all my expectations! ⤷ If you are looking for a hilarious, fast-paced, sweet and spicy read, this is definitely for you! “Nowhere more important than making sure you’re safe.” God fucking dammit. Why did he have to go and be chivalrous on top of adorable? How was I supposed to resist that combination?” (Clover & Avery)
“Not Clover. What you see is what you get with her, she’s always been like that. Sometimes it’s to her detriment. She’s upfront, to the point, and if she doesn’t like you, she makes no secret of that. Not everyone appreciates that sort of honest personality.” (Parker)
This is another story by Melissa Huxley and Lexie Quinn and is the story of Clover whose bff is Meadow and how she finds her own her pack. As we know with Melissa and Lexie we are going to be given a story that hits on the spice, but will also deliver on the angst and of course we will have one male suitor who doesnt know when to shut up.
Clover is an independent female, who is sassy, beautiful, strong, smart and to top it all off has a heart of gold. She has postponed her entrance into the Ivy league schools for law to help out her bestie for the next year who has just had a baby. Clover is a character that is full of life and does what she can for those that she loves.
As Clover navigates her new living situation she stumbles upon different men that lights her life up and gives her that much needed fun and excitement and oh so needed spice in her life. There is nothing wrong with a bit of fun, nothing more deeper is wanted, but the thing these men are drawn in and want so much more with her. Little does she know that each of these men are connected and are part of a pack and want nothing more than to make her theirs, their omega, their everything.
An unknown bonding, a pregnancy brings Clover into the pack house and them all trying to adapt and come together for their future. But is everything really pain sailing all it takes is one mis placed word, one misplaced understanding to derail what they were starting to build.
As always, another fantastic addition by these two, that keeps you hooked from the start. Desirable men and spice from the get go with the a’hole that you want to slap but cant help liking.
This was a cute book that can be read independently of book 1 in the series, though Meadow and her pack show up a bunch in this book.
This is Clover’s story, who is Meadow’s best friend from “Bonding the Band”. Clover (an omega) has moved to LA to help Meadow after the birth of her child. Clover randomly encounters four different alphas, and has sex with a couple of them, not knowing that they are in the same pack. The men figure it out after a bit and then Clover and the pack get further entangled with an unexpected pregnancy.
I really enjoyed the process of Clover encountering each man and then how each member of the pack eventually realizes that they are hung up on the same omega. Because a lot is going on in the story, there are several instances of “one person knows X, but not the other person”, and watching all of the reveals unfold was probably my favorite part of the book.
All four alphas have distinct personalities, though I thought that Hunter’s relationship with Clover was underdeveloped. Also, Parker was a jerk and I’m not sure I was ready to trust him by the time Clover was. Avery and Logan are keepers though.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It’s not my favorite omegaverse (for example, the motivation for the major crisis at about 85% of the book wasn’t all that convincing), but it also didn’t fall into the traps some other omegaverse books fall into (e.g. flat characters, instalove, total devotion from the alphas, etc.). So there was a good depth to the story and fun characters, even if I stumbled over a few plot points. Honestly, I’ll accept that and say thank you.
I had no clue what the authors meant by 'pink princess energy' when I opened the book, but one chapter in and I understood. It really fits Clover, but that doesn't mean she's a pillow princess type to just roll over and take bullshit if someone buys her pretty gifts.
Parker learned this the hard way. Multiple times. Poor dude couldn't figure out how to remove his foot from his mouth, but Clover sure showed him.
"If all someone has to offer is money, that's all people are going to ask of them."
"I didn't come here to pack up, Parker. I came to get laid, and now I'm going home." "So you don't-" "Want your pack's money? No, I f*cking don't. I can get by fine without it, thanks. Spend some time pulling your head out of your ass about me and omegas in general. I think your life will be better for it."
I loved that we got to see so much of Meadow, her pack and her baby throughout this. I absolutely love when that happens in books, when you get to see the 'after', you know? I also adore Clover's dads and hope we get to see more of them in the next book (which, I'm calling it now - Bonding the Bodyguards. I'll put money on that, haha)
Avery and Logan were so sweet. Avery was like an imprinted puppy and just as chotic as one. Logan was every walking green flag imaginable. The guy thought she was a single mum and was prepared to adopt the baby lol I kind of wish we had gotten to see/learn more about Hunter though, compared to the others he kind of got overshadowed.
Unfortunately, I really disliked this book, which is surprising because I have been really loving Melissa’s books. Here are some reasons this book didn’t work for me:
- Clover, I think, was supposed to come off as sassy and take not shit from a man, but it came off as bratty - I didn’t like her best friend’s pack basically paid everything for her. They gave her a $2M car, bought multiple designer shoes, etc. and what did she do…she went to glitter bomb one of her BFF’s pack members because he broke of her heels -She is supposed to have been accepted into multiple Ivy League schools for law, but she never once sounded smart. -Then she debated giving up on her dream to be a lawyer because she felt like she would have mom guilt, said she lost her ambition, and liked being able to see her BFF. Why can’t she be ambitious and have a baby? -During a spicy scene in which he sees her boobs, she tells him he can “motorboat them once” which completely made it un spicy -*SPOILER* Clover and her SIL get kidnapped and she ends up giving birth on a dirty mattress in a dirty room with nothing to aid with the process. How traumatic for everyone, including us as the reader -Parker, one of the MMCs was awful to her and honestly, he didn’t do enough groveling IMO -I felt like we didn’t get to see much of Hunter and Clover’s relationship at all compared to the other 3 alphas -the sex scenes happened just so fast, and no slut shaming Clover, but it was like damn girl, did you not think about protection or STDs where riding 4 guys bareback in a span of a week or two?
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I may not be a pink girlie but for Clover, I’ll be a pink lover. Her humor had me cackling the whole book and I really appreciate that no matter what she was doing, she always had the funniest shit to say.
Clover really is THAT girl and she won’t let anyone dull her shine. I kicked my feet every time she put Parker in his place. He really was sticking his foot in his mouth and she made sure that he knew how much of a butthole he was being. I definitely think that Parker needed Clover in his life to give him more perspective and to be the person to tell him how they see it.
I think each member of the pack was kinda the perfect fit for Clover. Logan is such a sweet baby hidden under the tattoos. He always has Clover’s back and makes sure she has that calm in the chaos. Avery is the perfect blend between a chaos gremlin and golden retriever energy. He was everywhere and anywhere all the time and he is very much obsessed with Clover. Hunter was one of the more normal people in the pack despite being a former rockstar and the fact that he’s the boss of Meadow’s pack.
Meadow and her pack are so supportive of Clover and I love besties taking care of each other. Clover is so sweet for taking a year off of school so that she can make sure that Meadow and her baby are doing okay. I really need to get my grubby paws on the first book of the series.
Last note: the boys are supportive of Clover’s dream and also themed names make me weepy.
Fun, entertaining with lots of pink princess sass!

What a wonderful and entertaining read. I fell in love with Clove from the very first page, she had such a wonderful spark of life and a ‘great seize life to its fullest’ attitude, just a brilliant personality all round. The way she met and instantly connected with each of her men was really entertaining and so very HOT! Well apart from Parker, their first meeting was hilarious, however their ‘hot under the sheets’ moment didn’t happen for a long time as he had LOTS of grovelling to do before that and Clove certainly didn’t let him walk all over her, putting him in his place….multiple times!
Her Alpha men -Avery, Hunter, Logan and Parker, each with their own individual personality. Avery and Logan were the adorably sweet cinnamon rolls, Hunter was the lovable golden retriever and then there is Parker: the brooding aloof character, with a lot of complex views of the world, especially regarding his wealth. However once Clove and her extremely wonderful dads broke through Parkers tough exterior his softer and lovable side appeared.
The whole story was such a fantastic read, with a steady pace and some great highs and lows as they found their way, I loved every page. It was wonderful to have so much more of Meadow and her pack, I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Bonding the Billionaires is the second book in Bonding the Babes, a series of sweet omegaverse interconnected standalones. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the authors for my eArc.
Tropes and themes include: ✨Sweet omegaverse (aoaaa) ✨Why choose (mfmmm) ✨Accidental bonding ✨FMC with big princess energy ✨Surprise scent matches ✨Family drama ✨Four one-night stands (meet cute) ✨Surprise pregnancy ✨Established pack ✨Multi, first person POV
Rating: 4/5 Stars 4/5 Flames Nicknames: Trouble, Angel, Mama
The Lovely: This book was a fun ball of chaos, especially in the first half, as the FMC was meeting each of the MMCs individually, in what I can only label as unexpected meet cutes. Very fun and cute, and I liked that the FMC didn’t fit the typical omega mold.
The Mundane: I didn’t feel like the FMC really had time to form deep or significant connections with the MMCs. It wasn’t so much that they didn’t have chemistry, it was more that their relationships felt like they were on the superficial side.
Recommendation: As I told a friend while reading, “she’s collecting alphas like Pokémon.” It was fun that she didn’t know they all knew each other. This can be read as a standalone in the series, but it does contain some spoilers for the first book.
Bonding the Billionaires picks up after Meadow and her alphas have their HEA in Bonding the Band. It is a standalone, but you will enjoy it way more and understand the characters if you read the first in the series. Also Bonding the Bans is great so you should read it anyway!!
Clover is living with her BFF playing the doting auntie and enjoying the single life in LA before heading off to Law School, where she fully intends to be miserable. However, a serious of fortunate (and sexy) run in with some very hot and very rich alphas who happen to be in the same pack turn Clovers world upside down.
There is mostly sweet OV romance and lovesick puppy alpha vibes here. However, definitely one of the spicer 🌶️🌶️ OV’s I have read in a while…come prepared 🥵
As in typical fashion, this book has all our favorite tropes like billionaire Alphas who know how to spoil a girl, an Omega who what she wants (mostly) and what she deserves, and of course, ***spoiler*** an unexpected pregnancy that really doesn’t go as planned.
Overall I really enjoyed it, not quite as much as the first in the series, but the bar was pretty high. And as a lover of the OV angst, there was just enough drama to quench my thirst.
Definitely worth the read if you are an OV lover, and I am eager for the next in the series!
Accidentally pregnant by four billionaire alphas? Obviously. Five stars. No notes.
This FMC is my kind of chaos. She sees life, shrugs, and grabs it by the horns with both hands and possibly a drink in the other. Stress? She handles it. Desire? She indulges. Consequences? We’ll circle back.
Four strangers. Four very enthusiastic encounters. One baby. Because why make one questionable decision when you can make four and let fate sort it out?
What I adored most is that our heroine refuses to crumble. She doesn’t beg, doesn’t grovel, and definitely doesn’t apologize for living her life fully. Billionaire alphas being dramatic about surprise parenthood? Cute. She’s already planning contingencies, building support systems, and deciding whether she even needs them. (Spoiler: she wants them and she’s not ashamed of it.)
The sarcasm sparkles, the heat is unapologetic, and the FMC’s “all or nothing” attitude is chef’s kiss. She knows her worth, knows what her baby deserves, and isn’t afraid to demand it even if it means walking away from a pack of rich, powerful men who thought they could half-commit.
Smart, sassy, and gloriously unbothered, this book is a reminder that loving life loudly and recklessly can lead to exactly what you deserve. Five stars for a heroine who doesn’t ask permission, doesn’t play small, and absolutely refuses to settle.
Clover has moved to help her bestie with her new baby. She hasn't been with anyone in a while and thinks it's time to change that.
Four random encounters have her hooking up with four Alphas. She is loving it until she discovers one of them is her besties Packs boss. Then she discovers these four random men are not as random as she expected seeing as they are all a very very rich pack.
One of the pack members grew up very privileged and thinks its on him to immediately assume she is a gold digger. The problem with that assumption is that she didn't know who the men were when she hooked up with them. She also doesn't care about their money.
Her dads end up needing her so she goes home for three months to help care for one of them. Over this time she feels really with down and sick. When she returns home she finds out the truth. An accidental and unknown bonding coupled with an accidental pregnancy are the culprit.
One of the Alphas however, makes a grave mistake and there is quite a bit of both successful and unsuccessful groveling.
I really enjoyed Clover and her pack. The way she met each of them was wild and fun. She is exactly the chaos this pack needed in their lives. The little sister was fun to get to know and so different from her brother. I'm guessing her story will be next.
I’m so happy we got Clover’s book! She is one of those FMC’s that you just can’t help but be drawn to with such a feisty personality, and who doesn’t love it when your girl knows what she wants (and more importantly, what she deserves) & is unapologetic about going after everything within her power. I loved that she met each MMC separately, and had absolutely no idea they were part of a pack. It definitely made things very interesting, especially once she found out about her little surprise souvenir from her encounters. I have to admit that I was a bit conflicted when it came to Parker, although thankfully her other guys really helped balance him out, but for the most part I did understand his desire to protect his pack was strong (maybe a bit too overprotective though 🤷🏻♀️). Loved the accidental bonding, and the heat was most definitely on point 🥵😍 Overall, all the elements we had in this story helped balance out the parts I wasn’t quite a fan of, and it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the story or my satisfaction with the ending. Can’t wait to see what we get next!
I call this the book of spicy meet cutes! I love how the pack, each individually, come across Clover by chance, and mostly all are obsessed with her from the get go. Even though they don't know the one they are obsessed with are the same omega. But when they finally figure it out, all bets are off. I love that you've got some golden retriever energy, some calm steady energy, and then a bit darker and stronger from 3 of the guys, because boy do they have a lot to compensate for regarding the grumpy one. The goveling is pretty great, and I love the family dynamics that Clover has with her dad's throughout the book, and they even become father figures for the guys. I loved the pace of the book, it just kept moving and I really couldn't stop reading. If you like omegaverse, scent matches, grumpy alphas, golden retriever alphas, sassy omegas, action, surprise pregnancy, surprise bonding, and more - I highly recommend this one. And are we getting a peek into the next book at the end? Always love those litlle teasers as something to look forward to.
Loved this book, having already read Meadow’s story id already had a brief introduction of the somewhat chaotic, honestly opinionated omega that is Clover, so I already had an idea that i would like it.
This one i think surpassed the previous book slightly purely because I liked Clover and her out going personality, she takes what she wants when she wants it and absolutely owns the crap out of it at the same time.
Her instant connection with each of the guys individually was definitely there right from the start well, with the exception of one particularly grumpy alpha. Although it was easy to see each of the pack brought something to the relationship that helped make their pack work as a family and Clover was the missing piece of the puzzle that they all wanted from the moment they met.
There’s a heck of a lot of banter, one or two major mess ups, a little bit of danger, spice so potent it would melt anything in the immediate vicinity and a prank or two thrown in for good measure. Absolutely worth the read!
I INHALED this book! I love both these authors, and this book was no exception.
I definitely recommend reading the first book, Bonding the Band, first, as there are a lot of references and characters from that book in this one. It was so nice to get to see more of that pack. I struggle to reread that book, given how sad and stressful some of the conclusion was. So I loved getting to revisit those characters with a new story.
Clover was such a fun FMC, and all of her guys are fantastic. Obviously Parker wasn’t always great, but he grew on me. Of the others, I’m not sure I could pick a favorite. I wish we’d gotten to see more of Hunter. I feel like I got to know him the least.
This story was engaging, fun, spicy, sweet, and had some good surprising twists. I highly recommend this series and this book!
I’m looking forward to seeing more from these two. Maybe Maggie’s story is next? 🥺🥰
This was another one-sit read for me by these authors and I can definitely vouch for the entertaining reading ride you'll find in one of their books. This was just so good! I absolutely loved Clover. She's an omega that knows her own worth and is holding out for it. This doesn't, however, stop her from enjoying attractive alphas as she goes through her life ;P Enter Logan, Avery, Hunter and Parker. Through a series of meet-cutes, she connects with all of them and thus begins their journey to a fab HEA. Of course, there's drama, some 'prejudice', character growth, a fun accidental bonding, pregnancy and very hot spice. I really enjoyed how each alpha was very different in personality, making it super easy to keep track of who's voice was talking when. And the hijinks with Clover made this book highly entertaining. I definitely recommend this and will say that it's hitting a prime spot on my re-read shelf ;D
Bonding the Billionaires is the latest book by Melissa Huxley and Lexie Quinn. It is the second book in their Bonding the Babes series. Individuals from the first book are side characters in this story; it is not mandatory to read the first book but there will be spoilers from it.
Clover is a spoiled omega that takes care of those closest to her. She is deferring law school for a year to support her friend who just had a baby. In this new town, she finds four men that she is drawn to. Golden retriever Avery is 100% in with her from their first meeting. Logan is drawn to her when they run into each other in the neighborhood. Hunter is excited to find someone who doesn’t know who he is and finds she is drawn to him for something beyond his fame. Parker likes what he sees when he meets her but his first priority is to protect his pack. Clover is shocked when she finds that these men have formed a pack. Can these five come together to make a pack?
Clover meets her pack through four random encounters and has a bit of well spicy time with them as well. She ends up called away though to help a family member and discovers that she is pregnant.
As you can imagine a surprise pregnancy didn't exactly go well with some of the members of the pack....Speaking of, some of the pack members I ended up enjoying, but I do think that there needed to be a bit more groveling involved.
The one thing that saved this book from being three stars for me was that I loved how Clover stood her ground with the men. She wasn't afraid to call them out and she certainly wasn't going to settle for any less than she and her little one deserved. She knew what she wanted. But she was also prepared to walk away if they didn't get their ducks in a row. Respect.
I liked the book overall but it was really hard to connect to the characters and was very shallow emotionally. There wasn’t much emotion going on, very much tell and not show. Surprise pregnancy isn’t one of my favorite tropes, but it didn’t feel like there was much connection between anyone in the pack and we hardly know any of the characters.
There was minimal tension outside Parker, one of the alphas being a bit of a jerk until a random twist that didn’t totally make sense or fit the story. The twist at the end came out of nowhere and felt really weird, there was no build up to it and it was resolved within a few chapters. It felt like suddenly at the end it was like ‘oh we need to write in some drama, let’s just throw this at the dart board’.
I guess I just didn’t connect with the story overall, but it was well written and a good read, just a bit bland. I’ve like other books from this author so I think this one just wasn’t for me.
Once again, I found myself deeply engrossed and in love with the characters that these two wonderful authors created! I couldn’t put this book down, even if I wanted to, which I didn’t. Clover is one of my favorite female main characters right now. She knows what she wants, when she wants it and isn't afraid to go after it! Hunter, Logan, Avery and Parker all made a wonderful pack together and really made up for areas in which the others lacked. It took me a while to warm up to Parker, but he made everything right in the end. Overall, this book hit all the marks and then some! I will always recommend the books that Lexie and Melissa write. They are phenomenal at creating a world that sucks you in, makes you feel all the feelings, and still leaves you with a sense of happiness and fulfillment when you finish the story!
Clover's book was really enjoyable. I liked her honesty, take no nonsense personality and it was very spontaneous how she met everyone in the pack. The surprise pregnancy and the plot overall did keep me reading. It's a good addition to this series and can recommend as a nice standalone.
I did like her alphas too; Avery was such a ball of sunshine and a sweetie. Hunter did seem the least we knew about apart from his background and that he stopped being a workaholic for Clover. I did wish we got more moments of him and Clover together. Parker did have a lot of redemption to go through and I felt he redeemed a large part of that but still room for more. Logan seemed to get the most attention from Clover during her time away back home and kind of wished we saw more between all the members.
