Jillian sought refuge from a wolf attack, but the mysterious lodge owner who saved her—Bertram, a powerful shapeshifter—awakens desires she's spent years denying. In his world of pleasure and discipline, she must keep running, or trust the alpha who sees past every wall she's built.

Coral fled the sea witch who owns her debt and the emotions she's buried deep. But Jake Hill's commanding presence strips away her defenses, demanding she surrender everything she's kept hidden. When the witch comes to collect, Coral faces an impossible her freedom or the only man who's ever made her feel truly alive.

Faye's spell went disastrously wrong, binding her to her landlord until she can break the enchantment. Under his firm guidance and watchful care, the inexperienced fairy discovers a hunger that threatens both her powers and her heart. But some bonds are written into fate—and breaking them may cost her everything.

Three darkly twisted fairy tales. Three women discovering their true power lies in surrender. Three alphas willing to risk everything for the mates fate delivered to their door.

Excellent fantasy read that pulls in the erotic with the fairy tale. Spun together in an intriguing read following multiple characters, you will be cheering for new couples, feeling the discipline as it's meted out, and the angst during rescues and confrontations. Excited for the next one!

Claimed by the Storm: A Twisted Fairytale Collection by Renee Rose, Casey McKay, and Katherine Deane is an imaginative and exciting retelling of classic fairytales—woven together in a way that feels both bold and seamless.
The authors take multiple familiar tales and interlace them into one cohesive, suspenseful narrative, and somehow it works beautifully. I found myself marveling at how they managed to combine so many characters and storylines into a single, inventive world without losing clarity or momentum. The result is a modern, twisted fairytale that’s intriguing, fast-paced, and thoroughly engaging from start to finish.
Classic characters are cleverly reimagined and brought into the present day, including Jake and Jillian (Jack and Jill), Bertram B. Wolfe (the Big Bad Wolf), Coral (The Little Mermaid), Faye (the Fairy), and Cade Lupus (a wolf shifter), with a few fun cameo appearances along the way. Watching these familiar figures collide and connect in unexpected ways was a delight.
All roads eventually lead to Spa NK Lodge, a BDSM resort where the story truly heats up. The action and spice begin immediately—there’s no easing in—and yet the pacing never feels overwhelming. Instead, it keeps you on edge in the best way: intrigued, invested, and eager to see how everything unfolds.
The characters are well written, showing both vulnerability and growth as they embrace communication, honesty, and connection with their partners and with one another. Alongside the romance, there’s plenty of action, danger, alpha energy, and yes—spankings. The blending of multiple fairytales could have been chaotic, but the authors clearly knew exactly what they wanted to achieve, and they succeeded.
Most of the stories find their happy endings, though one character’s cliffhanger conclusion caught me completely by surprise—and now I’m more than ready for the next book to see what happens.
This is an amazing, inventive, and fun take on classic fairytales—original, sexy, and suspenseful. A must-read for fans of twisted retellings with strong romance and nonstop momentum.

We begin with Jillian and Jake, brother and sister. They are traveling to another town to find a mate. Jill is a brat. She needs a firm hand. When Jake takes a nasty fall they are saved by a stranger, Bertram. Bertram knew he had to help the young man. He needed medical attention. Bringing Jill and Jake to Spa NK was the right choice but these to have never delved into the BDSM side. For Jill it is all knew. NOW, if you can catch the reference to these two, it was really cute. They are a more adult Jack and Jill. What fun.

Coral is on the run and takes refuge at the spa. Bertram is letting her stay there but she feels unfulfilled. When she meets Jake, he makes her blush. Jake was given a task, handle Coral. She has a secret that could cost her a happy ending.

Faye is a fairy, a bad too. She just can’t seem to get her spells right. Nothing ever goes her way. When she tries to make her landlord, Cade, forget about the rent she accidentally gives him fins. Cade was not happy at all. Cade is a wolf shifter. The little fairy enchants him. When he takes her as his slave to pay back the rent as well as to figure a way to fix his issue, things heat up.

The story has so many characters: Cindy as well Cinderella; Pino better known as Pinocchio; Little Redd, obvious; Robbie as well Robin Hood; Master Bram as well Dracula, etc. Each story are blended together. The only story that is really interesting is Cindy’s. She isn’t just a sweet sub by day but at night she changes into a Domme. Is that her true identity? Each character does get their happy ending but we end on a cliffhanger. Cindy is missing. Will we get a story about what happens to her?

ARC Reader

When I tell you I DEVOURED this book in 24 hours… I am not joking. This book immediately consumed me in the best way possible and never lost my focus. I love a retelling of any kind, mostly because I think it’s so beautiful to see the world of these stories we’ve known for so long through somebody else’s eyes. It’s also incredibly rewarding to see the small details come through for each character that hints back towards their original story allowing us to see the pieces we know and love while maintaining a new and exciting adventure.

When so many characters are introduced in a short period of time, it can feel overwhelming or like somebody is getting missed in the process. Having a character introduction page before the story is so meaningful. Not only does it give a quick intro to the names you’ll become familiar with, it also provides a resource to look back at to refresh your sense of the character if necessary. This is such a smart move on the authors’ part for clarity.

These writers knew exactly what they wanted and were not holding anything back! They get right into the action and spice that made me stay so invested and unable to put it down. I feel the characters were well flushed out and demonstrated appropriate growth and vulnerability throughout the novel to be open and honest with their partners and other characters. The flow of stories worked well and kept me on the edge of my seat without ever feeling frustrated at a chapter cliffhanger.

For anybody who loves a smutty retelling, boy howdy is this the book for you! I cannot recommend it enough and am so thankful for the opportunity to read and review this novel. Now I NEED the second book already because I’m dying for more 😍

This was a unique twisting tale involving several fairytales woven together.
There are a few main characters in this novel. Jillian and her injured brother, Jake, are trapped in a snowstorm and forced to take refuge with a wolf shapeshifter named Bertram. He runs a special lodge. Coral works at the lodge and takes care of the fish. She has a mysterious past and needs discipline. Jake is the man to help her with that. In a spell gone wrong, Faye accidentally turns Cade’s feet into flippers. Then we meet Redd who is Bertrams little and she is a vigilante of sorts. Cindy also works at the lodge and she is close friends to Mistress Stepmother. There are a few other miner characters introduced as well.
This was a truly delightful read for me and I enjoyed it very much. I loved reading fairytales as a child. There are so many of those treasured childhood characters introduced and woven into the plot in unique ways. Because the characters’ names were not always exact, I liked being able to guess which tale they were from. This novel also has a lot of spice and BDSM interwoven throughout as well. One aspect I did not like is that it ends on a cliffhanger. I was so wrapped up in reading the story that I did not notice I was reaching the ending until the story ended. I hope the second in the series will be out soon.
Another unique aspect of this novel I enjoyed is that it was written by three different authors. I always enjoy reading collaborations and trying to decipher which author may have written which part of the story.
I would rate this story as five out of five stars with a spice level as a five out of five stars as well. I recommend this novel for mature audiences only due to sexual content and violence.
I received this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is a fairytale retelling of women caught in a winter blizzard near the lodge of Bertram B. Wolfe. Jillian and her brother Jake were travelling to find a matchmaker for Jillian, a headstrong young woman. He climbed a hill to get a bucket of water and fell when a well-aimed snowball made him fall. Bertram arrives when she is trying to protect Jake from three wolves, taking them both to the lodge after spanking her for her insolence...Faye was a half fairy trying to get her magic to work, but not working out very well...her spells always took a wrong turn...so when her landlord Cade Lupus came to collect her late and current rent...since she didn't have it, tried to put spell on him to make him forget monies owed, but turned his feet into flippers instead. She is taken to his house as his slave/servant until she's worked off her debt and feet restored. Jake was approached by Bertram to help calm the scattered Coral's thoughts as she's in hiding from powerful sea witch. Coral takes care of fishponds and aquariums at lodge and as former mermaid must remain chaste to hide from sea witch...but you will need to read this collection of tales to see what happens. I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

This mystical, magical book with its fairy-tale theme was just the pick-me-up I needed. Although I wanted to savour each story, I ended up ploughing through them all in one sitting. There were so many interesting characters, each adding depth and clarity to the overall storyline, and choosing a favourite was impossible. I loved how seamlessly the authors blended the stories, creating a cohesive, satisfying reading experience.

The story is set at Spa NK Lodge, where three women seek shelter during a blizzard, and that’s where the fun truly begins.

Jake and Jill, brother and sister, are travelling in search of a suitable partner for Jill, who can be bratty at the best of times. After Jake suffers a fall, they are rescued by Bertrum B. Wolfe, the spa's owner, where Jill discovers freedom through submission.

Coral takes refuge at the lodge after fleeing a sea witch. Can Jake change the course of her life and give her the fulfilment she craves?

Faye the fairy finds herself in trouble after a spell goes wrong, leaving her landlord, Cade, with fins. Already unhappy with her late rent, Cade, a wolf shifter, is determined to collect what she owes, and the sparks between them are impossible to ignore.

I enjoyed every minute of this book. It was light-hearted, fun, and watching the relationships evolve made the reading experience even more satisfying.

Claimed by the Storm weaves together fairytale romances with a twist: it’s focused on domestic discipline. Instead of the stories being told one after the other, there’s a chapter or two of one story, then a switch over to another. I found that disconcerting at times—I had to look pack at previous chapters at several points to remember what those characters had been doing earlier.

There are lots of great allusions to the fairytales, like how both Jack and Jill(ian) fall down hills at various points. I particularly liked what Deane created with Cindy and her Stepmother, a truly unique take on the Cinderella story. My favorite part of Claimed by the Storm was written by Renee Rose. Her tale of a hapless fairy named Faye Godmeyer and her lupine suitor Cade was funny and charming.

I found the DD scenes to be quite repetitive after a while; perhaps having one couple have less of a focus on that might have balanced this book better. But if you’re a fan of domestic discipline romances, you’ll love this.

Claimed by the Storm combines elements of several different fairy tales in a unique and entertaining story - a hot and erotic one! The characters are interesting, and the females, in particular, have intertwining plot threads that end up bringing them together at a place called Spa NK, Fetish and Play Lodge, where they not only have a big part to play in the finale, but where they also find freedom in admitting their true desires. The dominant male characters seem to delight in providing punishment to their females for every little misdeed but all with a deep sense of warmth, caring, and love. There is a LOT of spanking, which everyone seems to enjoy!

I am a long time big fan of Renee Rose but this story is my introduction to Katherine Deane and Casey McKay and I will be checking out their books now as well. I enjoyed this fun and twisted fairy tale, a lot.

This was definitely a twisted fairytale collection. Part of what made it entertaining was connecting the characters to the different fairytales. From Red Riding Hood to the Big Bad Wolf to the Little Mermaid, and if I'm not mistaken, Tinkerbell. Then we had the paranormal characters like the wolf shifters, demon slayer, mermaid, etc. There was also some action and danger involved.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that it took me until I was writing this review before it clicked about the brother and sister characters. On top of all of that, I was surprised it ended in a cliffhanger. I really need to know what happens next.

If spanking, dominant men, submissives, and a good amount of heat offend you, I would suggest you take a pass on this book.

The subtitle on this book says it all, and it's not in a dark way, but in a very steamy way.
Three women find something they never knew that they were missing when they find their mates and discover a common interest that is outside the box.
Three dominant men that were not looking, but find their mates in unlikely places.
They all come together in a welcoming atmosphere where they can safely relax and be themselves without judgement.
At the same time, the women come together to fight the past of one of them and set her free.

I truly enjoyed this twisted and "spanky" story featuring characters from Jack and Jill, Little Red, Cinderella, and Little Mermaid as well as having cameos from the Pinocchio and the Travelling Musicians. Jill finds herself experiencing a new reality as she seeks safety and shelter from the winter storm. Seeing her learn about herself, her likes and dislikes, and watching as she expands her comfort zone is paralled with the tales of Redd, Cindy (and the Stepmother), and Faye. The Spa NK resort is where fantasies become reality. Book 2 needs to come soon.

I normally avoid stories based on Fairytales but this one is very different. It's well written. The stories are intertwined. A brilliant and interconnected storyline between three separate authors. All the characters are real and rounded. There are plenty of very different elements that will hold the readers interest including some very hot erotic sexy scenes and shifters. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving an honest review. I hope that this will be the start of a series. Please.

Claimed by the Storm by Renee Rose is a fast-paced and steamy paranormal romance that will captivate fans of alpha male shifters and intense, passionate love stories. The book blends romance, danger, and a rich supernatural world, creating an engaging read for those seeking a thrilling escape. With sizzling chemistry, high stakes, and a perfect mix of tension and suspense, this novel keeps readers hooked from start to finish. It's a must-read for fans of darker, more erotic shifter romances.

I loved this deliciously tantalizing and twisted collection of stories. You get three quickly paced and oh so seductive tales that were a genuine delight to read. Each of the enclosed romances off a fresh and unique tweak to a classic story that I found fun and highly entertaining. There are also many special appearances in this book by intriguing characters that I am left hoping to see more twisted fairytales soon.

Entertaining!! I enjoyed the authors characters's names as fairytale characters, and the plethora of supernatural beings. It seemed to lighted things a bit. This was a wild collection of dominant men training the "new submissive recruits the blizzard brought." It takes many, many lessons for them to learn. A fun ,entertaining whirlwind of spank fests to read and enjoy. Lol!!

This book has multiple stories (fairy tales) running concurrently that intersect. We begin with Jake and Jillian (brother and sister) on their way to town when Jake falls down a hill and hits his head (Jack & Jill) leaving Jillian to fight off a pack of wolves. Bertram B. Wolfe, (Big Bad Wolf), a wolf shifter comes to their rescue and takes them back to his "lodge".
As Jake recovers from his head injury his is introduced to Coral (Little Mermaid). Jake is enchanted with Coral. Faye (Fairy Godmother) is a fairy who has problems with her powers and is 2 months behind in her rent to Cade Lupus. When Cade comes looking for his rent, Faye turns his feet into flippers. Cade takes her back to his cabin until she pays her rent and restores his feet. Cindy (Cinderella)an interesting character. By day she is Cindy but at night she is a domme that goes by Stepmother. Redd (Little Red Riding Hood), Pino (Pinocchio) Master Bram (Bram Stoker) all make an appearance. As we learn more about the characters and their stories, all lead back to Spank Lodge where we end on a cliffhanger. Overall this was a very interesting take on these fairy tales.

You ready for Jack and Jill, Little Red, Cinderella, and Little Mermaid told a bit differently then you may remember or read to your children!

Or maybe more than a bit, LOL!

It seems that everything Renee Rose touches turns to gold!
And, I've met two, new-to-me authors I need to research!

Highly entertaining and tons of fun!

I adored these escapes!

Very disappointing

This story rapidly devolved into barely skimmed as I searched for a single redeeming quality that made it worth my time. Too many poorly combined genres ended as an unsavory mess that is coming off my kindle as soon as I press submit.

Unfortunate that zero ratings aren't available.

"If there was any doubt this woman was his, his destined mate, it was gone now."

This book was different from anything else I've ever read. The stories intertwined, I found I had to really pay attention. You can read the blurb but it's actually hard to describe. It's like if you combine fairytales with bdsm into one book - so much sexy fun! Oh, and there's spanking, lots and lots of spanking.

I found this book to be a bit strange. It was written by several authors who each had specific characters featured in their chapters. It blended together seamlessly. You would never know that more than one person shared in the writing. The main themes are a fetish club and a bad snow storm. The characters are a mixture of shifters, fairies, etc. There is even an evil sea witch!

There are more books to come in the series. Enjoy. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the authors. My review is voluntary.

The blurb was intriguing, but unfortunately I think there was just too much going on and my interest waned (which is so unusual for me with this author). I liked the premise- but it was just not the fairytale retellings for me. Though I still encourage you to try since it may speak to you.
