Cambridge Preparation for the TOEFL® Test, Fourth Edition, helps students master the language skills they need to succeed on the TOEFL® iBT and communicate effectively in an academic setting. This was great, I used it before (for around 2-3 months). It was detailed and clear, and close to the real test that you may face. The strong points of Cambridge are the reading and writing part. These sections were well-organized with detailed vocabulary as well. The listening and speaking sections were about average. However, in general, you can refer to Cambridge if you want to improve your performance on this test, and increase your confidence.

Don't get distracted by many version of TOEFL books. Start with this book from Cambridge, Good Luck ..

(-) Sample responses for Speaking and Writing tasks are not very helpful. In my opinion, these samples are not very close to what raters really look for, according to the Official Guide book.

I highly recommend this book to those who prepare for the TOEFL exam. The contents of the book are wonderful. It contains both extensive TOEFL materials and English grammar. This book helps you build the skills necessary to successfully answer the questions and complete the tasks on the TOEFL IBT test. It also thoroughly familiarizes you with the test format and teaches test-taking strategies to help you improve your scores. Although, this book prepare you the most difficult, in particular concerning the academic parts, it has great contents. From my angle, I suggest you start with this book for preparing the test.
