About the author
Jamie Rook JR.
103 booksJamie Rook Jr.,
born in 1971, lives in Germany and France and prefers to write in seclusion—often in an old stone house in France, far removed from everyday life.
Before devoting himself to writing, he served in the military for several years, including as a squad leader and instructor with the combat troops in Panzergrenadier Battalion 133. He subsequently served in the Federal Police for two years. These experiences shape his perspective on military hierarchies, leadership, camaraderie, and decision-making under extraordinary pressure.
His novels blend political thrillers, military thrillers, techno-thrillers, and dystopian fiction. They center on people who must act when systems fail, orders break down, and no decision is made without consequences. He is particularly interested in the boundaries between obedience and responsibility, law and justice, and security and freedom.
When Jamie Rook Jr. isn’t writing, he enjoys spending time at the Étang du Stock—often with a glass of wine—and reflecting on Europe, society, power, and the question of how stable our supposedly secure structures actually are.
He welcomes feedback and looks forward to engaging with his readers.
