3.5 stars. This was written well and had a very promising premise. However, it missed a lot of steps throughout that took away from the potentially powerful experience of our leads, Raquel and Damian. Probably the most glaring critique is that the story never quite picked a place to land. At first, it was more of a submissive/dominant dynamic on a purely emotional level, but then it shifted into more a dangerous codependence and viciously physical based relationship, then wrapping up with no clear resolution to anything, with an abrupt, strange happily ever after sort of finale. It almost felt like several different stories pushed together with no concrete flow or ambitions. Easiest way to fix this was to just pick a lane and stay in it or make the book much longer to flesh it all out. This would have also alleviated some other issues I found with the lack of true depth for both characters, which would have further cemented their purpose and codependency, making everything more creatively sound. Again, I liked the effort and the writing, above all else, but the content just needed quite a bit of fine tuning to make it reach its full potential.

Courtney is one of my favorites! She has yet to write something that I didn't love. Her books are always really fast-paced with a lot going on!

In Tied Together, Damian and Raquel both come from abusive backgrounds and are self-proclaimed broken people who have found love with each other. How far are they willing to go to prove their love and find their happily ever after?

This is a dark romance with horror elements thrown in. It has a lot of spice. I'm not normally a spicy dark romance person, but I really enjoyed this one. Just enough horror to keep it fun. 😜

I'm not really a fan of Dark Romance. (I'm not really a fan of any kind of romance.) That being said, I'm always on board for a good tale of vengeance. Courtney does a great job conveying the pasts and personalities of her characters that while reading this novella, you will find yourself rooting for them, no matter how morally gray they may be.

I loved Tied Together! Two broken souls find one another, Raquel and Damian. They are obsessed with each other. They're safe together, but the trauma they endured at the hands of their mothers still lingers in the shadows of their minds. They form a deadly plan to heal the trauma from their past.

Tied Together is the story of the relationship between two people wjo endured unspeakable things as children. There are ups and downs in their journey but they never stop loving each other and proving it in as many ways as they can. Courtney has a writing style that I can simply devour.

They have an addiction...each other.

Raquel and Damien are linked by tragic pasts and a world that doesn't understand them. The relationship is dangerous from the start. While they can bring out the light they can also feed the dark.

Their devotion to one another bleeds into spaces they never thought possible. This starts their journey to fulfil one of their biggest needs, vengeance.

Courtney does what she does best gives you characters that are highly volatile with crazy ideas. All while falling in love with them. Her writing is addictive, fast paced, and keeps you turning pages.
