A shadow elf haunted by dreams of a sealed door and a power that whispers his name, he’s spent centuries avoiding the truth of who and what he is.
Lisa was never supposed to matter. A human woman with a quiet strength and a talent for seeing too much, she becomes the one thing his past refuses to ignore.
The Chamber of Light and Dark stirs, drawing others toward it. Too late, Rezer discovers a terrible truth. He wasn’t spared when the Chamber was sealed as he thought; he was forgotten.
Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.
I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.
Conquer, the long-awaited fourth book in Quinn Loftis’s Elfin series, is not a gentle read. It is a full-throttle, hold-on-to-your-snacks, white-knuckle ride that grabs you and refuses to let go. After waiting about ten years for this, I can say with complete honesty that it was worth every minute. Once again, Quinn proves why she is a master storyteller and world-weaver in a league of her own.
From the very first pages, the Elfin realm feels alive, watchful, and unsettled, as if the land itself is holding its breath and teetering on the edge of something unspoken. The air feels thick with secrets, and the magic hums with a low, uneasy current, like a warning you cannot quite interpret. Nothing is obvious, nothing is explained, yet everything feels… off.
You sense that the world is shifting beneath your feet, though you cannot see how or why. Loftis never tells you what is coming. Instead, she lets the tension creep under your skin, that quiet, unsettling feeling that change is inevitable and that whatever lies ahead will not be simple, gentle, or safe. You do not understand it… but you feel it in your bones.
While Cassie and Trik remain the emotional heart of the Elfin series, Conquer boldly widens its focus. This is just as much Rezer and Lisa’s journey as it is Trik and Cassie’s, with Elora and Cush playing a crucial, fiery, and unforgettable role in everything that unfolds. Quinn braids all of these relationships together so tightly that no couple stands alone. Their stories collide into one larger tale about love, power, choice, and balance.
At the center are Cassie and Trik, whose bond is tested in painful, human, and deeply emotional ways. This is not just fantasy romance. It is about trust, communication, and what it really means to love someone enough to protect them without burning everything down around them. I found myself constantly wondering if they could truly overcome what stands between them. Watching them try to find their way back to one another in the middle of escalating danger is both heartbreaking and healing.
Rezer and Lisa truly shine in this installment. Their connection is tender, complicated, charged, and incredibly compelling. Rezer is no longer just the dark elf with a past. He becomes a character carrying centuries of memory, responsibility, and identity. Lisa, warm, human, and fiercely grounded, proves that light does not have to be flashy to be powerful. Their story adds real emotional depth to the larger battle between light and darkness.
And then there is Tony. Who is he, you ask? Well, he is another one of Lisa’s suitors. He wants her just as badly as Rezer does. Tony is steady, honorable, deeply devoted, and yes, he is human. So the question becomes who will Lisa choose? And more importantly, what kind of love does she truly want… stability or intensity, safety or magic?
Fans of the series will also be delighted to see familiar faces return, including Tamsin, Syndra, and Oakley. They step back into the story with the same loyalty, wit, and intensity that made readers love them in earlier books, and let’s be honest, they are complete bad asses. Oakley, in particular, feels more confident and grounded, clearly growing into his own strength.
And then there is Elora. Still feral. Still hilarious. Still terrifying in the best possible way.
Her humor is a lifeline in the tensest moments, including one unforgettable scene where she is literally pinned in a dangerous magical situation and still worried about needing to pee. Yes, that really happens, and somehow Quinn makes it both hilarious and painfully relatable while danger closes in around them.
Cush is steady, protective, okay, let’s be real, overprotective, and deeply devoted to Elora, but in a slightly smothering way that sometimes makes her feel like he does not quite trust her to keep herself alive without a personal bodyguard. His instinct is to wrap her up in safety like bubble wrap, sometimes a little too tightly, which definitely creates tension between them. Yes, that friction makes their relationship feel real, but the big question is whether love can survive the urge to hover. Are they strong enough to truly overcome it? Time will tell… and Elora will probably have a lot to say about it along the way.
Now let’s talk heat. Quinn did not serve mild salsa this time. She went full Carolina Reaper hot. The chemistry is stronger, the tension sharper, and the romance feels more grown up than ever while still keeping the heart of the series intact. You will swoon. You will gasp. And yes, you might need a fan.
What makes Conquer truly special is not just the magic or the battles, but the themes woven throughout the story… light versus dark, power versus choice, sacrifice versus love, fear versus faith, and the idea that true balance is not control, but connection.
Loftis blends mythic stakes with razor-sharp humor, fierce loyalty, and deeply human emotion. There are moments of awe, moments of gut-punch heartbreak, and moments so funny you will laugh out loud even while holding your breath.
By the end, you do not simply finish a book. You step off a thrilling, dizzying ride that leaves your heart racing, your emotions wrung out, and your soul humming.
Bottom line, Conquer is intense, intimate, hilarious, devastating, and unforgettable. Quinn Loftis once again rocks her readers to the core.
If you have not started this series yet, begin with Book One, Elfin. You will not be disappointed. Quinn will take you on a wild, emotional, stomach-flipping roller coaster that will keep you coming back for more, again and again.
After 10 years, I am excited to say, “strap on your seatbelt and dig in to Book 4 in the Elfin Series” by Quinn Loftis. If you have not read Books 1-3, yet. Get them. Read them and keep your seatbelt on. If you have read Loftis’ other books (The Grey Wolves, Vikings, Dream Series and more) you already know what kind of ride you will have. Surprising with twists and turns, complex relationships, strong women, strong elves (men). Secrets get revealed. Memories recovered. Love embraced. Heartbreak suffocating. Rezer discovers a terrible truth that impacts everyone.
The old characters are back. Casie and Elora – BFFs. Trik and Cush their loves. Oakley (Elora’s brother) may be one of the unexplored areas in Quinn’s writing (the sibling relationship – not via marriage/mating but by blood. Tamsin, Syndra, Lisa and Rezer. Each character has their time in the spotlight.
I am intrigued by the Shadows and want to stick with this series and see where it leads. I loved the myriad of emotions I experienced while reading.
I am grateful to Quinn for writing a storyline that helped me escape from my own issues and that created by the chaotic environment of the world we currently live in. For the past 2 years, I have been struggling with my health, my attention span (Yes, I’m an elderly person), and I have read far too little. The Elfin Series, which is AMAZING, is one of the books I feel fortunate to have been able to read. As an ARC reader, I jumped in and experienced the joy I get every time I read one of Quinn’s books. I already pre-ordered Conquer and will read it again.
Conquer is not just about conquering evil, loneliness, hate, or enemies. It might be all of that, but there is so much more. Adventures. Different dimensions, realms, and beings. Conquer is about loyalty, devotion, sacrifice, hope, vision, and most of all love. Love between family members, love among friends, love of neighbors, strangers, friends.
There was one downside. Those Elf names were tongue twisters for me. Everything else…I do mean EVERYTHING ELSE about this book was EXCELLENT. It took 10 years to get here. Don’t let it take 10 more before we read Book 5!
I hate that I am not writing a coherent review. My words are not capturing the magnificence of Conquer. The storyline, character development and surprising twists and turns caused my brain to focus and go for the ride, or maybe, it was a little Elf magic!
Loved Conquer. I hope you will read it and love it, too!
After 10 years we return to the Elfin. All our favorite characters are back…Trik, Cassie, Cush and Elora. The Elfin realm is at peace. The drug Rapture is gone and the Book of the Elves is restored. All is as it should be….or is it. Quinn once again plunges us right into the story. Power imbalances, voices whispering in our minds, unstable magic, overbearing males and the women who love them. Trik struggles with his power and Cassie is guarding secrets. Cush ….well he is Cush and Elora is done with it. Oakley is starting to find his way and through all of this is Rezer the dark elf who has fallen for a human. Can Trik manage the darkness that is rocking the kingdom while still protecting Cassie? Will Cassie get Trik to see what is happening? Will Elora and Cush ever see what the other is needing? Will Lisa and Rezer understand what is happening around them and to them and surrender to the feelings? Will Oakley survive yet another battle and find his way among the Elfin?
This book was well worth the wait and I cannot wait to see where it leads next. As usual Quinn is a master storyteller who draws you in with great characters and character development that makes you feel that you KNOW the characters and that you are there with them. I hope you all enjoy this next novel as much as I did!!
Conquer was a great read, this book holds all the characters we’ve grown to love & hate in the Elfin Series. While Rapture is finally gone and The Book of the Elves is returned, something is off in the realm. So Follow this exciting storyline while stepping across the veil and into the Elfin realm. Quinn has a way of drawing you in and keeping your attention through funny, sarcastic banter between characters and strong bonds that everyone wishes for in real life. This story focuses on a long ago event that was hidden from memory and is slowly brought to the present time and needs to be dealt with. So if you’ve already read the first three books in this series, enjoy this journey through the forest with Trick, Cassie, Cush, Elora, Oakley, Sandra, Tamsin, Rezer and Lisa and hold on to your seats and enjoy the emotional ups and downs and find out what unexpected things come into play in this exciting story. I love the way Quinn’s brain works and I always enjoy walking away from her stories being able to relate to the morals and values in them and the characters close bonds and desires to become better…no matter if they are human, or supernatural beings. Be prepared for some interesting backstory & a suspenseful ending that will leave you anxious for the next book in this series! I can’t wait for book 5 to be written! Peggy Young-Quinn Loftis fan!
10 years have passed, but it feels like I just started the Elfin series yesterday. We return with the power couples Trik and Cassie, as well as Elora and Cush, and even though the Rapture has been eradicated, things are not what they seem in the Elfin realm. A return of an ancient elfin book that is plagued with evil, fights to separate Elora and Cassie from their chosen because the shadow elves need to be freed, and the Chamber will stop at nothing to make that happen.
A new love is blossoming as Rezer, an elf with lost memories and haunted dreams, becomes enamored with Elora's mother, Lisa. What power whispers his name? What does it all mean? Is he truly a dark elf? Does he have a chosen?
Lisa has continued her friendship with Tony, as her children remain in the Elfin realm, but she does not want the relationship that Tony does. She had a chosen previously, who was a dark elf, that was killed many years ago. Does she deserve another chance at love? Could she have another chosen?
As always with Quinn's books, I'm never able to pace myself and finish the story much too soon. Conquer is the fourth book in the series; it is not a stand-alone book, so you will need to read the first three to understand the storyline. I promise this series is worth it; you won't be disappointed.
OMG!! This book came with adventure, amazing writing (as always with Quinn…the build up of events and the imagery I get is everything!!) and unexpected twists and turns! What I thought was going to happen didn’t, but then something else just as great happened… I was happy we got to read from Rezer and Lisa’s POVs as well as all the others. And we also get a hint at the next book in the series which I was so happy about! Seeing Trik and Cassie & Elora and Cush go through more struggles as new couples learning to trust themselves and each other as well their love I sort of felt like we were slowly closing their chapters (idk why I felt that finality as I read them resolving their issues). This books answered many of the questions I had in my mind after rereading the first 3 books but still left some mystery as to the future of the Elfin Realm…can’t wait to read more about Oakley, I felt like we really just scratched the surface of the half dark-elf warrior and what will become of him not to mention the new hidden creatures we met (the shadow elves)!
Thanks Quinn for giving me an ARC copy of this book am so happy and honoured! Can’t wait to read the next one…in the mean time…I think I’ll reread the Grey Wolves Series again!
I always love a Quinn Loftis book and this one is no exception. This book picks up where Surrender left off. The best friends Cassie and Elora have settled into married life in another realm. While they are with their chosen, it doesn't mean life is all sunshine and rainbows. In fact it shows how marriage can be complicated that comes with a learning curve. How keeping secrets can almost always become detrimental to everyone involved. The men learn that they can't always protect their mates and their mates learn that sometimes speaking up is the best thing you can do. Conquer had me reading late into the night wondering what would happen next. one thing that is true (and it shows in every chapter) Love can CONQUER anything as long as there is communication, trust and of course love. Read the first three books of the Elfin series to catch up. You won't be disappointed.
Ok wow I haven’t read this series in over a year and let me tell you when I got book 4 and read it everything came back! I have been waiting for book 4 for a long time from this series and boy did Quinn deliver! The elfin series is a none stop action packed book filled with loads of hilarious banter from the characters that will have you rolling on the floor with laughter! Rezer is an awesome and swoon worthy addition but don’t get hooked ladies he’s taken! And yes the book leaves you wanting more so if and I hope you do start this series just know you won’t get enough of it! So strap on those seat belts and get ready for a wild and crazy ride! Quinn Loftis you out did yourself with this one this is definitely a keeper so I’ll be buying this not only on my kindle but also a copy for my book shelf where only my favorite books of all time go!
So how do you know when a book/series is good? When it’s been 10 years between book 3 and book 4 and you are just as eager and excited to read it as on day one!!! That sums up the Elfin Series and book 4 in the series Conquer! This book was Worth. The. Wait! Conquer brings you straight back into the wonderful world of the Elfin that Quinn has created and continues the wonderful story she started so many years ago. You reconnect with old characters, meet new ones and learn more about smaller characters you had only briefly met before. Conquer is a wonderful story that continues the series in a new way that didn’t feel forced or repetitive. Instead, you get this beautifully crafted story that opened up the world to new possibilities! Conquer was worth the 10 year wait and I’m truly glad for the wait as it gave Quinn the time to create this book into what it is!
Well people, Quinn has done it again. The last Elfin book says it is the last book, well guess what, it wasn’t. And this one won’t be the last, which was a great surprise. This one left off right after the 3rd one ended, so please, read the first 3. All the main characters are still there, with a great addition of Rezer. This book keeps you guessing all throughout it. Who is good, who is bad, what will happen? Who does Lisa choose? What is in the Chamber? Do they get out of the forest? And the ending, wow, just what I was hoping would happen. Maybe Quinn and I were on the same wavelength. If you haven’t read any of her books, then I highly suggest reading them, all of them. Haven’t found one yet that I didn’t like.
This is the long anticipated wait from the first 3 books of the Elfin Series. I always wish I could give more than 5 stars. I had the incredible honor of being an ARC for this book and Quinn knocked it out of the ball park again. We see Cassie and Elora and their mates in trouble. We learn more about Elora's mother and meet some new characters. This book had me laughing so hard at some parts and then holding my breath in the next. You shouldn't start with this book however, you should start with Elfin which is book 1. Book 2 is Rapture and Book 3 is Surrender
I’ve absolutely loved binge reading this series. Unlike other readers I’m new to these books and so haven’t had to wait 10 years and to be honest don’t know how they had the patience. The Elfin fantasy world is full of interesting and strong characters. The books are well written, easy to read and very hard to put down until you’ve finished at stupid o’clock in the morning.
I received a free ebook from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving this review.
As always Quinn has delivered a book showing that love will find a way. Whether it’s through a dragons front door, pixie dust or a bit of sass and a broody baddie that refuses to take the hint. So grab a cup, cuddle up and get lost in the worlds Quinn creates. You will not be disappointed!
This book was amazing. I'm so glad that I got to see these characters in a new storyline. To have loved a book for so long and to get an addition to the series makes me so happy. Thank you Quinn for sticking with these characters. I will always be a fan of your work.
This book was okay. It is number 4 in the series. One through three were slot better. I didn't care for all the different groups fighting. The forest, the chamber an all the different elves. Wasn't as good. None with the series.
Excellent continuation of one of my favorite series! So glad the author decided to continue it. Such an intense mix of dark and light elves trying to coexist. I can’t wait for more!
Loved this installment of the Elfin series! The long awaited sequel delivered and there is more to come. Quinn does what she does best, puts her heart in the story and delivers! Can't wait for the next book!
This is book 4 in the Elfin Series. The book is full of laughter, suspense, and crying moments that makes you feel all the emotions. The story flows beautifully and Quinn writes in a way that makes you feel as if you’re along for the journey. Can’t wait to read the next book.
