Lexi & Conner were childhood sweethearts until his parents got in the way of their love and ruined everything. Ugh with the parents, awful people.

Now 15 years later, Lexi is struggling as a single mom and needs a job and a place to live. Her BFF has the perfect opportunity for her to work and live at the Lakeview Harbor Resort, but the only problem is that Connor is a co-owner. She agrees with a stipulation, she doesn't even want to breath the same air, let alone see him at all while they work on the same premises. It just hurts too much. But that takes a turn real quickly when they both realize they never got over each other and the feelings still run deep.

Love me some well behaved kids in my romance and Jonah (4) & Annabeth (7) were great.

Overall, 15 years is quite a long time to never get over your feelings for someone, but it was a sweet second chance story.

Series notes:
A series following all of the investors, not only on their renovation journey, but on their journey to find love. Best to read in order.

Narration notes:
1 narrator + dual POV = 👎, but she sounded fine.

I have been enjoying the Lakeview Harbor series where a group of friends rehab their childhood resort. This maybe my favorite story so far with a second chance romance between Lexi and Connor.

The two met at the resort as teenagers and fell in love but the relationship ended. Now both are single parents and Connor is back as the head chef and owner and Lexi is hired to help with resort programming.

He can't stay away from her and I enjoyed seeing them learning to know each other as adults. I loved how the friend group was involved in the story, it was like seeing old friends. The kids added a cute factor into the story as well.

Rebecca Gibel does a great job with the narration of the series and brings all the characters to life.

Thank you @dreamscape_media for a copy of the audiobook.

3.5⭐️

I’m sort of reading this series a bit backwards since I haven’t read books one and two yet. I have read the associated novella and now this one, which is book three. These can absolutely be read as stand-alone stories and still work well, but I do suspect the experience would be even richer having read the earlier books first.

I was a little worried at the beginning because it wasn’t grabbing me right away. I ended up setting it aside for a few days, but when I came back to it today I got over that initial hump fairly quickly—and then ended up binging the rest in one sitting.

I really enjoyed the second-chance romance element. The characters showed genuine personal growth, and their expectations around blending their families felt realistic and thoughtful. I also appreciated that the inevitable third-act breakup was short, made sense, and—blessedly—wasn’t driven by a simple miscommunication.

The audiobook narration by Rebecca Gibel was very well done. She delivered the story at a natural, conversational pace that worked perfectly at 1x speed, but it also held up nicely when sped up without losing tone or inflection. She also has a solid male voice, which helped create a nice contrast between characters.

If you’re looking for a sweet, more mature romance with a touch of spice that isn’t overly explicit—and a bit of plot beyond just the relationship—this is a solid choice.

I am thankful to have received a complimentary ALC from Dreamscape Media via NetGalley, which gave me the opportunity to share my voluntary thoughts.

The Resort is open!
Calling in reinforcements from one of the owners ex-Girlfriends. Both single parents they hopefully can find a common ground to be able to work together.
Resort Chef Connor Winslow and High School Summer romance Lexi Scott cross paths again. She becomes Lakeview Harbor Resorts Event Coordinator and Connor has to stay away because of his snobby family. Connor cannot stay away and melts Lexis heart.... and her sons. Father/Daughter and Mother/Son make a nice happy family.
This book follows their journey back to each other. Stolen kisses and romantic weekends solidify another couple brought together by the resurrection of Lakeview Harbor Resort.
This book was good, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the others. Too predictable and lack of drama it fell flat for me. Hoping the last book of the series goes out with a bang.
I am convinced Samantha Chase cannot write a bad story. The meet cutes are perfection!! If you are in the mood for a happily ever after pick up ANY of her books. You will not be disappointed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars 🎧 Audiobook Review

I really enjoyed listening to #Resort Bliss by Samantha Chase on audio! This series continues to be such a comfort read for me, and this installment did not disappoint.

The audiobook performance was well done and made it easy to get swept up in the story. I love when narration enhances the emotional moments, and this one definitely delivered. The characters felt genuine, the romance had that signature Samantha Chase warmth, and the setting added that perfect dreamy escape vibe.

One of the things I appreciate most about this series is how it balances heart, chemistry, and just enough tension to keep you invested without overwhelming the romance. It’s the kind of story that makes you smile while you’re listening.

I gave it 4 stars and I’m already hoping we get more from this world I’m not ready to say goodbye yet! 💕

#RESORT BLISS is the third instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult LAKEVIEW HARBOR romance series focusing on a tight know group of friends and investors: Axel, Connor Winslowe, Walker Bradshaw and Harlow, Jayce, Kelsey, Milo and Slater .This is chef and single father Connor Winslowe, and PA and single mother Lexi Scott’s second chance story line. #RESORT BLISS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

SOME BACKGROUND: Walker Bradshaw’s family owner LAKEVIEW HARBOR RESORT has sat in disrepair for years. Along with his friends Axel, Connor, Milo, Slater, Walker has reinvested in his grandparents Lakeview Harbor Resort, in the hopes of reestablishing to its’ former glory. These are their stories.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Connor and Lexi) #RESORT BLISS follows the rekindling romance and relationship between our story line couple . Fifteen years earlier Connor Winslowe was forced to walk away from the girl he loved, a girl deemed not worthy of the Winslowe name. Fast forward to present day, Connor, now the head chef at Lakeview Harbor Resort comes face to face with the woman whose heart he destroyed, a woman desperate enough to take a job that may place her in the direct line of fire. Both having married and divorced, Lexi is determined to keep her distance from Connor, but Connor is determined to prove he is worthy of a second chance.

The world building focuses on preparations for Lakeview Harbor Resort grand re-opening, as each investor finds their own love and happiness but Connor’s family is determined to keep our couple apart, even if it means destroying the family in the process.

The relationship between Connor and Lexi is one of second chances; a rebuilding romance and relationship predicated up a previous betrayal, arrogance, entitlement and pretension. Lexi struggled in the years that follow, never believing herself to be worthy enough of the man she once loved. The are no $ex scenes, everything is implied.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, determined and strong-willed secondary and supporting characters including Lexi’s best friend Kelsey, Axel, Connor, Walker Bradshaw and Harlow, Jayce, Milo and Slater, and the introduction of tour guide Nora, Lexi’s son Jonah , and Connor’s daughter Harlow.

#RESORT BLISS is a story of betrayal and entitlement, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is entertaining and captivating; the romance is subtle; the characters are desperate ,apologetic and charismatic.

I finished this book a few days ago and have been trying to decide how to best review it. But I still have no idea, so I guess I'm just going to write my running commentary as I listened. (Yes, I write all my thoughts down in a notes app while reading. Mainly when I get so worked up that it takes me out of the story.)
- Connor deserves better friends. They all went behind his back and did something they thought would upset him.
- Connor's friends pushed him to find a house and open up his restaurant in town so he wouldn't be at the lodge so much, the lodge he is part OWNER in, so that it would make her more comfortable - her being the girl they haven't spoken to in FIFTEEN years. Talk about messed up loyalties.
- UGH. Still dislike Harlow. She is, once again, sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. She's known Connor for a few months at most, has only met Lexi once, but she still insists on giving her opinion.
- 16% in and all Connor's "friends" are berating him again over Lexi. My gods. Just tell him you're choosing her over him so he can go find some real friends.
- I am SO incredibly glad Connor stood up for himself! His "friends" needed to hear that, especially since they don't seem to care about his feelings. His and Lexi's relationship is none of their business. And, once again, HE IS PART OWNER. Like wtf is going on here.
(There's a huge jump here where I was just listening and nothing stood out. It was all very meh.)
- Connor's parents are the WORST. They need a good throat punching.
- I love that the kids were involved with the proposal, even if I feel like it's WAY too soon for all that. But all of these couples seem to move their relationships at hyper speed, so I guess good for them.
- The epilogue kind of soured my feelings on the relationship even more so than I was already feeling. It's weird and against their characterizations that they would go to the courthouse to get married without the kids.

Overall, the book was fine. Not great but also not terrible. The couple wasn't my favorite, and honestly, I didn't feel the connection between. Also, fifteen years apart is a lot of time for them to basically talk for a few times and decide they still loved each other. And Lexi holding that big of a grudge against a sixteen year old kid was next level pettiness. But I adored their interactions with each other's kids. I do feel like Lexi spent more time with Connor's daughter than Connor spent with Lexi's son.

2.5/5 stars rounded up.

As most of you know, I don’t rate books with stars. I rate them with yes, no, maybe, and if you liked this, you’ll love this. Reading is such a personal, emotional experience, and what resonates deeply with one reader might land differently for another—and that’s exactly what makes it special. With that said if you enjoy contemporary second-chance romances — where former lovers reconnect, work through past hurts, and build something new — you will love this!

I absolutely loved listening to #Resort Bliss by Samantha Chase. This is book three in her Lakeview Harbor series, and while it can absolutely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series in order to fully appreciate the characters, connections, and evolving small-town dynamics — these books are the kind you turn to when you want something soothing, heartfelt, and emotionally satisfying—and this installment delivered on every level. With its charming small-town setting, tender second-chance romance, and single-parent dynamics, it pressed all my favorite romance buttons in the best way.

Rebecca Gibel narration made it incredibly easy to sink into the story. I love when narration doesn’t just tell the story but enhances it, adding depth to the quieter moments and weight to the emotional ones—and this performance did exactly that. The characters felt real and lived-in, their emotions rang true, and the romance carried that signature Samantha Chase warmth that feels like coming home. Paired with a setting that offered the perfect dreamy escape, this was one of those listens that wraps you up, slows you down, and leaves you feeling comforted long after the final chapter.

What I love most about this series is how seamlessly it weaves together genuine emotion, believable chemistry, and just the right touch of tension—enough to keep you fully invested, but never so heavy that it steals the spotlight from the romance. The stakes feel real, the connections feel earned, and the story always leaves room for hope, warmth, and those quiet, heart-squeezing moments that make the love story truly shine. It’s one of those feel-good listens that leaves you smiling long after you hit pause. 💕📚🎧

I’ve been looking forward to this book and especially Lexi and Connor. So loved how this book started with Connor and his middle of the night ‘try this cake’ mission, hey he could surprise me with middle of the night cake anytime. However, this was the start of an intervention for Connor by everyone and the awkward news that his ex Lexi was coming to work at the resort with her son. I found it funny that everyone was giving him advice on don’t come on too strong and she said she wants space but of course Connor being who he is just had to seek her out shortly after she got to the resort. I am glad however that as time went on they started to become friends and help each other out with their kids, Annabeth and Jonah. I especially liked how they just stepped in with Connor being there and helping Jonah and Lexi doing the same with Annabeth. Things were actually starting to move in a positive way and we ha a real start of a second chance romance for them but upon coming back from a fun family trip, who was waiting for them, his judgmental parents. I have to say I was totally unsurprised but how they treated Lexi and totally went off about her and Connor but this time they went too far. When everyone is trying to get up and around the next morning, Annabeth has disappeared and everyone is beyond panicking at this point. Leave it up to Jonah to save the day by helping with finding her. My favorite part was when Lexi took it upon herself to pay Connor’s parents a little visit and let me just say she had the backbone and grit she didn’t have before and put them in their places where they deserved to be. Good for her. Of course, that led to Lexi, Connor, Annabeth and Jonah having their own private dinner and I was surprised with how that turned out. We also get to be a part of the grand opening of the resort and it went way better than anyone thought it would. At the end of the book, I thought the update with Lexi and Connor was wonderful and I’m very intrigued about Milo and Nora. These two are definitely oil and water and I’m curious to see how their story unfolds. Great book!

Another Sweet Read from Samantha Chase!
This is book #3 in the series, but so far I’ve only read two…so they don’t need to be read in order…

In this one we have Lexi and her young son Jonah. She’s looking for a job…
When a friend offers her advice about a new resort that’s being built, Lexi is intrigued… until she finds out that her ex, the love of her life, Connor, is also working there!
But it does sound ideal….

Of course she is perfect for the job, so she stipulates that she does not want to have anything to do with Connor. And ok… that’s it.
But, once Connor sees her, well, his heart just melts…

Mind you, Connor has a young daughter, Annabeth, too! So, although the two knew each other when they were youngsters, well, things are very different now…

As time goes in and they get into the flow of things, Lexi thinks that maybe, just maybe, they might be able to be friends…
But, Connor wants more.

It’s interesting, as Connor’s parents were the problem between the two of them last time… so, has anything changed? Tune in to find out!

Sweet. A bit Ang-sty. Sad. Wonderful. And… emotional!!
But, it seems like when you have family and friends, well, just about anything is possible!

#ResortBliss by @SamanthaChase and narrated solidly by @RebeccaGibel.

4 strong, beautiful, sweet, heartfelt, grateful, swoon-y pm second-chance stars for me! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I love Samantha Chase's books. It has been a hot minute since I read one, but she writes these feel-good closed-door romances, though this one has a few slight mentions of not closed-door stuff. This story follows Lexi, who is divorced from a man who wants nothing to do with her or their 4-year-old son. Who is a cutie, btw. Lexi's job went out of business, and she is just up a creek without a paddle. She gets a job offer to go to Lakeview Harbor Resort, but her Ex is an owner. Connor, who broke her teenage heart. Her main stipulation of coming to work at the resort is that he stays away from her. Of course, you know that's not going to happen. Connor has his own regrets because he never wanted to break up with Lexi, but since she wasn't wealthy, his parents made him break it off. Now he's the owner of the resort, plus he is a chef and wants to open a restaurant. On top of that, he is also divorced from a woman who doesn't want anything to do with him or their 7-year-old daughter, who is also a cutie. Of course, these outcast kids are going to connect. Plus, it doesn't take long for Connor and Lexi to connect. I do love that we don't have the miscommunication trope in this book, because that is a no for me. However, much like the other Chase books, our characters fall hard and fast. Yes, they knew each other as kids, but that was 15 years ago! Anyway, it's a sweet story, it pulls the romance heartstrings, and some kids need some bonding time, too. We also appear to have set up for the next book in the series. If you love Chase's other works, you'll love this one too. Though the characters overlap in the series, each book can be read as a standalone, but you get a stronger feel of the community and side characters while reading as a series.

This is book three in the Lakeview Harbor series and I love this group of friends so much. Lexi and Connor were together years ago before his family pushed them apart, and now they end up back in each other’s lives at the resort. Lexi takes a job there while raising her son, and Connor is working there while raising his daughter. Being back around each other brings everything they tried to move on from right back to the surface, and what starts as avoiding each other slowly turns into reconnecting, rebuilding, and figuring out if they can actually have a second chance.

I was so drawn into this story from the start. Knowing they were forced apart but never really let each other go made everything feel more emotional. I felt for Lexi because you could tell how much she had been hurt, but I loved how Connor was determined to make things right and not lose her again. Watching them find their way back to each other while balancing being parents made it even better. Their little moments together, especially their lunches and sneaking away when they could, were so good and had just the right amount of spice. I also loved how naturally they started to become a little family.

Rebecca did such a great job with the narration. I have listened to other books she has done and she always pulls me into the story. I really liked how she handled the emotional moments and made the connection between Lexi and Connor feel real. I do wish this had been dual narration, but it did not take away from how much I enjoyed listening.

If you love second chance romance, single parent stories, and that found family feeling, this is one you are definitely going to want to listen to.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the chance to listen to this.

#Resort Bliss delivered all the feels with Connor (Annabeth) and Lexi (Jonah). A second chance, single parent romance set in Lakeview Harbor will keep you enthralled from start to finish. Connor is a part owner of the resort, as well as a chef. He is focused on creating a fantastic menu and his daughter. When he finds out that his first love, Lexi is coming back to town he begrudgingly agreed to leave her alone. Lexi is a single mother whose ex has nothing to do with their child. She just lost her job and her parents moved so when her best friend asks her to come back and help, she agrees, as long as Connor stays away from her. She isn't prepared to see him after fifteen years.

He doesn't do well with keeping his distance, as she is the true love of his life. I loved the connection they still shared and how well their children got along with each other, as well as Connor and Lexi. They both have struggled with finding a good work-life balance, Connor has a hard time letting anyone help, but they quickly realized how nice it was to have one another to help with the everyday aspects of life.

He thinks the kids are going to be the toughest crowd they have to admit their feelings to, but she doesn't agree. She believes his love for his parents, the main and only reason they broke up, is blinding him to what their reactions will be. I truly despised his parents and the way they treated Lexi and assumed who she was. Their overreaction to Connor dating Lexi again could have been disastrous, but I appreciated how Lexi finally stood up for herself and Annabeth.

I think this book was my favorite in the series so far. I can't wait to see what happens next with this group of friends. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

All of the main characters in this book have known each other for years. When they were young, their families spent their summers together at pleasurable entertaining resort, located in Lakeview Harbor. All of the children and adults were long-time friends who socialized together as if they were in a summer camp. When the group find out that the resort is closing, they decide that they all want to buy it, update it and reopen it. So, these friends get back together to work together as they renew their friendship.

Fifteen years ago, Connor Winslowe and Lexie Scott both visited the resort for years. Connor, a member of a very rich family, falls in love with Lexi, who also loves him, except she is not rich. When Connor’s family find out that Conner wants to marry someone who is not wealthy, they forbid it. Obviously a sixteen-year-old boy does not have the ability to win against his parents, so he gives in, and breaks off with Lexie in a way that breaks her heart.

Connor has an eight-year-old daughter whose mother has abandoned both Connor and his daughter. Lexi has a four-year-old son whose father has also abandoned both of them without child support. With no money, she needs to get a job on the resort from her old friends, in spite of the fact that Connor lives there. Eventually, by working so closely together, they old feelings slowly return.

All of the characters in this book are charming, engaging, captivating and loveable.
And, by the end, I was completely overwhelmed by the beautiful feelings of happiness, the inspiration of unconditional love, and the uplifting “Bliss” of long-time friendships that the author displays in this story.

The wonderful characters and the fantastic plot will captivate the reader!

Connor and Lexi’s story is one of regrets, second chances and family drama. They were sweethearts as teenagers until his wealthy parents declared Lexi to be an unsuitable match and insisted Connor end the relationship. Now fifteen years later, both are single parents and are back at the resort where they met and fell in love as teenagers. Connor is one of the owners of the newly renovated resort and the head chef. Lexi has been hired to work with the operations manager, but she has made it clear that she wants nothing to do with Connor and wants him to stay away from her. She desperately needs this job and the accommodations provided for her and her son after losing her last job and her recent divorce. No one mentioned any of this to Connor until it was a done deal but he agrees to go along with it.

As it turns out, Connor and Lexi can’t avoid each other and their kiddos have instantly become friends. Apologies are made and both finally accept that their youth was a big factor in what happened fifteen years before, and now they have matured into adults who are both trying to do their best as single parents. For the sake of their kids, they agree to get along, but both are soon aware that all those old feelings have resurfaced and are stronger than ever. It seems love can be sweeter and even stronger the second time around. It certainly is spicier and more than their own hearts are at stake. Their mutual friends have front row seats to the rekindled romance, the naughty trysts and the family drama that ensues when Connor’s parents make a surprise visit to the resort. Will history repeat itself?

#Resort Bliss is the third book in Samantha Chase’s Lakeview Harbor series. A group of childhood friends from varied walks of life, Walker, Jayce, Axel, Connor, Milo, and Slater, have joined forces to restore and renew the Lakeview Harbor Resort in conjunction with Walker’s grandparents, the original owners. Each brings his own resources and skills to the project. This novel’s primary focus is Connor Winslowe.

Connor Winslowe is from a very wealthy family. With that wealth and as an only child, Connor has been greatly influenced by his demanding parents. At sixteen, his parents demanded he break up with summer love Lexi Scott as her station in life was so below his mother’s expectations. He did as told but had regretted it ever since. He also succumbed to his parents pressure to marry society girl Paige, who decided after their daughter Anna Beth was born that she neither wanted to be married or a mother, leaving them behind. Now with a 7 year old daughter in tow, Connor, a gourmet chef, is taking charge of the resort’s restaurant as well as having made a sizable investment in the resort.

When through her close connection to Kelsey Brooks, another of the investors, single mother Lexi and her son Noah are brought to the resort to assist in the planning of activities. While a qualifier for Lexi was limited exposure to Connor, that is the opposite of what actually happens.

This is a delightful story of second chances and finding one’s own direction and strength. The characters are well developed and the storyline is well plotted. I very much enjoyed this book and the series and do recommend both.

Second chance at a first love.

I love second-chance and found-family romances, and when Samantha Chase writes them, there’s nothing better. The new owners of the Lakeview Harbor resort first met there as kids, when their families vacationed together. Each person has a unique and personal connection to the place, and in this third book of the series, part-owner and five-star chef Connor and his young daughter come face-to-face with his first love, Lexi, and her son.

Connor and Lexi share deep, unresolved feelings, along with lingering pain from the events that drove them apart as teens. I loved the way they communicate and work together, slowly rebuilding their relationship based on who they are now as adults while also confronting the past.

The story shows meaningful character growth for both Connor and Lexi; he learns to slow down, while she discovers her self-worth and begins to trust again. It’s a wonderfully sweet story, filled with just the right amount of angst and plenty of poignant moments between the main characters, their close-knit friend group, and their children.

While this can be read as a standalone, reading the series in order adds a richer, more chronological sense of the resort’s restoration and the owners’ journeys toward their HEAs. The intimacy happens off-page, but the emotional connection, affection, and tenderness shine through, creating a truly heartwarming, feel-good read.

A fabulous story with engaging, relatable characters. Another wonderful addition to a Samantha Chase world. Definitely worth picking up.

If I had to pick I definitely would say Resort Bliss is my favorite of this series. I would go so far as to say even Hallmark worthy.
Connor broke her Lexie's heart years ago when his parents made him break up with her because they felt she wasn't good enough for him. She's back at the resort trying to get her life back on track after her divorce from her cheating ex. One of the stipulations she made when getting hired was she would not have to deal with Connor. Even though he's one of the owners she did not want to see him on a daily basis.
Connor was warned to stay away from Lexi and he understood why. Even though it only lasted the 1st 10 minutes when she arrived. He couldn't help himself, all his feelings he has had for her oldies years has never gone away. But he understood what he did to her and has regretted it every day. He knows deep down in his heart she was the one that got away. He feels he is given a second chance of love and he is not going to blow it this time.
He's an adult now and doesn't have to listen to his parents. He knows it won't be easy to have lexie fall in love with him again but he is willing to wait. He is not letting her go again.
So many are not given a second chance. You don't know what you have until it's gone. That's why you have to hold on and not let go. Connor and lexie are true soulmates and fate has brought them back together. They had their second chance and nothing and no one will stand in their way of their happiness

This is the 3rd book in the Lakeview Harbor series featuring Connor and Lexi's heartwarming page-turning, second chance, single parents, small-town romance. Connor and Lexi have history together they were childhood friends who became HS sweethearts but his wealthy parents didn't think that she was good enough for him. They pressured Connor into breaking up with her so he breaks Lexi's heart even though he promised her forever. Now 15 yrs later they're both single parents and Lexi is returning to Lakeview Harbor to work on the resort where she fell in love with Connor as a teenager. Now though she doesn't want anything to do with Connor and she made that a condition of taking the job but Connor ignores her condition and they spend time together with their kids getting to know each other again. It's not long before feelings between them reignite and their friends watch their kids Annabeth and Jonah so that they can be alone together to explore the chemistry between them. Things are going good between them they just went to a waterpark together with their kids only to return to the resort to find his parents there who ruined their relationship when they were teenagers. Will Connor and Lexi get their second chance or will his parents ruin things between them again? You really need to read this heartwarming page-turning, second chance, single parents,small-town romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book as well as the previous books in this wonderful series.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

So good! Loved Connor and Lexie
This story features Connor and Lexie and their journey to becoming a family.
Forced at a young age to walk away from the girl he loved Connor has regrets.
Now 15 years later he is making a new home for him and his gorgeous 8 year old daughter at Lakeview Harbor, when Lexie comes back into his life.
Lexie being down on her luck and trying to survive with her 4 year old son takes a job at Lakeview Harbor, a place she had such fond memories of while growing up.
Requesting not to work for Connor, she doesn’t want anything to do with him after the hurt he put her through years before.
Connor knowing the stipulation, takes one look at her on the day she arrives and knows that he will never be able to keep away from her.
His determination to be a part of her life again starts from that moment on.
Such a lovely second chance story with implied steam, two gorgeous children, interfering parents and a love that did not fade and was never forgotten.
A fantastic story in this series and so great to catch up with everyone involved in Lakeview Harbor project.
I loved listening to this audiobook which was narrated by Rebecca Gibel.
She has narrated all of the stories in this series and I love her performances and look forward to listening along to each one of them.
Thank you to Samantha Chase,
NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.

#Resort Bliss is the third book in the Lakeview Harbor series and this was such a great one!

Lexi Scott and Connor Winslowe found love one summer during high school and unfortunately it ended in heartbreak. Lexi has now found herself in a difficult position trying to make ends meet for she and her four year old son, Jonah. When she speaks to her friend Kelsey, Kelsey quickly offers her an opportunity to come back to Lakeview Harbor to work at the resort. Lexi has her own stipulations as she doesn't want anything to do with Connor after getting her heart broken 15 years prior.

Once Lexi and Jonah arrive, Connor and Lexi end up spending time together and find some common ground since both are single parents. Connor's daughter Annabeth and Jonah become fast friends and the two adults help one another out with school drop off and such. As Lexi and Connor start to spend more time together, it is obvious that neither one of them are over the other. Can they make it work despite what broke them up the first time?

I adored this book and how the four of them became their own little family. I appreciated the communication between Lexi and Connor about the things that had gone wrong before and how to avoid those things this time. I'm already excited to see what happens in the next installment in this series!

This was actually a cute second chance, single dad/single mom, starting over romance.

Lexi and Connor were high school sweethearts, torn apart by his parents snobbish ideals about hot he should marry. Hurt, devastated and humiliated, Lexi never forgave Connor for not fighting for their love.

Now, they're not divorced single parents whose paths have crossed once again. Lexi, who's still holding a grudge, wants nothing to do with Connor. He on the other hand is determined to win back the love of his life.

I enjoyed seeing Connor grovel his way back into Lexi's heart. It was obvious she still had feelings for him but her pride and fear of being hurt again kept her from allowing him back in. I'm glad the author chose not to rush them back together. It was important to see their relationship bloom slowly rather than being told it happened. Even though he didn't like it, Connor has to accept Lexi taking things slow once she allowed herself to at least see where things could go.

Grateful the author took her time with telling this story. Especially Glas the kids played such pivotal roles throughout the book. They weren't left in the background. In fact, they stole the show. 😆

I didn't realize this is part of a series. Honestly, I didn’t feel lost at all. This could easily be read as a standalone.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ALC.. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Samantha Chase always leaves me with a full heart and a smile. This series has been amazing so far, and I just love the concept of this group of people restoring the resort they all met at as children.
This time it is Connor and Lexi’s story and it is a sweet and wonderful one.
I was lucky to be able to listen to it via Netgalley as an ALC as well as read the ARC from the author. The audiobook is easy on the ears and very entertaining. This is a new narrator for me but she does a great job with all the voices. I would listen to more books by her.
I adore Connor and Lexi as a couple so much but I love them even more as a family when they do things with his daughter Annabeth and her son Jonah, who become fast friends even though Annabeth is older.
It’s like fate stepped in to give Connor and Lexi a second chance when she takes a job at the resort. They dated when they were teenagers but Connor’s parents did not want him with her. As an adult he will not let anything stop them from being together now. Including you guessed it, his parents. He regrets ever letting them dictate who he could date. He never stopped loving Lexi but he hurt her deeply all those years ago. Can she forgive him? Of course she can, this is a romance so we have to get a happily ever after.
Their story is one of love, family, and forgiveness, and I enjoyed every single moment.

#𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐬 is the 3rd book in the Lakeview Harbor series by Samantha Chase, featuring a sweet and emotional second chance at first love for Lexi and Connor. Fifteen years after he broke her heart, Lexi is back in Connor’s orbit at the resort where they spent summers in young love, but now she’s desperate for a fresh start for herself and her little boy. She wanted to avoid Connor, but he just couldn’t resist that pull between them, even after all the time and pain. I enjoyed their journey of rediscovering each other as adults and finding joy through their kids, who bonded so beautifully, and were so well written! Jonah and Annabeth totally stole my heart!🥰 The initial tension felt authentic, and their lingering connection and attraction was palpable, making it fun to watch them navigate the emotions and angst of moving forward, and then how to actually 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 with two kids and busy jobs.😅 I loved that the whole crew of friends was back for this one, bringing plenty of banter, heart, and tough love when needed. The family drama got my hackles up in a big way, but it was good to see characters have an opportunity to express themselves.😉 I am very curious about Milo and Nora, and can’t wait for the next book!

I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

🎧 Audiobook review

This one surprised me in the best way.

I’ll be honest, it started a little slow for me. But once the story settled into Lakeview Harbor, I was hooked. The second-chance romance hits differently when it’s layered with fifteen years of history, heartbreak, and two single parents trying to rebuild their lives.

Lexi absolutely stole this story for me. She’s strong without being hardened, vulnerable without being weak. Watching her step into her own confidence, especially after everything she’s been through, made me love her even more.

Connor starts off a little naive, but his growth? So good. Seeing him confront his past, his guilt, and the man he wants to be was incredibly satisfying. The reconnection between them felt mature, emotional, and earned.

I don’t usually gravitate toward single POV, but Rebecca Gibel completely changed the experience for me. Her narration made it feel dynamic and layered. She brought depth to every character, especially in the emotional scenes. The audiobook truly elevated the story.

Double single parents, childhood resort nostalgia, second chances, and healing old wounds. If you love romance that blends past and present with real growth, this one is worth the listen. 💙

I loved returning to Lakeview Harbor resort with my favorite tropes, second chance romance and single parents! This is Connor and Lexie's sweet story about forgiveness, found family, and love. Connor and Lexie were high school sweethearts, until Connor broke up with her, breaking her heart. Now years later Lexie is a single mom in need of a job. When her old friends from the resort convince her to to work there, she must gather her courage to face Connor again. Connor didn't want to leave Lexie all those years ago, and when she walks back into his life, he is determined to earn her forgiveness and give him a second chance. The feelings they both had, quickly spring back to life. As they spend time together, falling for both their children, their love for each other grows stronger as well. But with the reason they couldn't be together before still a factor, will they be strong enough to fight for each other this time? Connor and Lexie were so great together. I loved their banter, the tender moments of vulnerability, how well their families fit together, and their chemistry was off the charts! I also loved catching up all their found family at the resort who added so much fun and heart to this delightful story.
Rebecca Gibel continues to narrate this series and delivers all the wit, emotion, and steam beautifully. I really enjoyed listening to her performance as she brought this fun, engaging, emotional, and steamy romance to life.

Lakeview Harbor #3

Connor Winslowe and Lexi Scott had been childhood sweethearts only spending the summers together at Lakeview Harbor Resort, which meant everything to her. She thought that someday they would get married but the summer before their seventeenth birthday Connor broke up with her and moved on.

Now fifteen years later he along with his best buddies own the resort and are renovating it back to the place where it meant so much to all of them. He is a Chef and a single dad to eight year old Annabeth and is looking to make their home there.

Lexie is a single mom to four year old Jonah. She's hit rock bottom and when her bestie calls wanting her to come to the resort for her wedding and also a job she finds out Connor is there and has stipulations. With nowhere else to go she agrees.

Being around each other and working together they have to confront their past. She was made to feel unworthy of him by his parents, something he knows he shouldn't have let happen but he was a teenager.
The question is can they get past all the old hurts and heartbreak and get their second chance?

This one left me with a smile and a contented sigh. Lexi accepts a job offer at the resort under the condition that she will not have to work directly with Connor...ever. They were hot and heavy years ago and supposed to marry, until his parents got involved and let her know that she was not good enough for their family and sent her packing. Now she is newly divorced, nearly destitute, and she and her son are looking to start over. What better place than somewhere she has great memories of and wants to raise her son. Connor and his daughter, Annabelle, have been making the resort their home and getting the kitchen running while he looks for a home. When he finds out Lexi is coming aboard and he is to keep his distance, yeah, that is not happening. He is right up in her business right from the start. Before too long these two find out the chemistry is just as strong and their kids get along famously even though Annabelle is older she takes great care of Lexi's son. They make such a great family, that is until Connor's parents come to visit. Though, this time around Lexi is a mom and she is not backing down because this mama bear will protect her cubs, both of them, that includes Annabelle. So, so good! I cannot wait for the next installment!

Book 3 of the Lakeview Harbor, but can all be read as standalones. This one is Lexi and Connor’s story. Lexi who as a son Jonah and is looking for a job, and a friend tells her about this new resort that’s being built only to run into a brick wall, when finds out the love of her life and ex Connor is working there. Lexi makes it know she wants nothing to done with him and is only to there to make a living for her and her son.
Connor who has a daughter Annabeth, as well is one of the owners of the resort and also the head chef. Connor finds out his love from when they were younger Lexi has been hired to work at the resort to work with the operations manager. Things have changed and they both have moved on over the last 15yrs after Connors wealthy parents said that Lexi was an unsuitable match for Connor and ended there relationship.
Will the romance reignite between them Or Will history repeat it’s self when Connors parents make surprise visit to the resort?
