This book touched my heart in ways I didn’t expect. Beautifully written, deeply moving, and full of moments that make you pause and reflect. It’s the kind of story that stays with you long after you turn the last page.

Wow, just wow!
Amanda has always been good with words and this book is yet another example of that. She has this amazing ability to tell a story, share insights, etc with such ease but at the same time as if you’re right there living it in that moment.
For myself, there were moments where it was like I was watching a movie (but obviously reading) and id blurt out OMG, no no no, a tear would trickle down my face or I’d have moments where I knew EXACTLY where the sentence or “layer” was going and to be transparent those couple moments resurfaced my own past traumas and while reading reminded me that although we all face our own traumas, hardships, etc there are a lot of us who go through similiar things and our feelings then and now are valid.
Reading but also learning more about her life story had me in many different feelings, emotions and moments and in many different forms, as a woman myself, a mom, a friend, etc. Moments where I could relate or share the same feelings, moments where I wish I could pause and help or stop things, moments of laughter and “omg this is SO Amanda” or “she would.”
Needless to say although this book was written with courage it 1000% shares with whomever reads it that trauma is real and when ignored or unrecognized can send us down paths we dont realise but that there are ALWAYS ways through and out. M
I am beyond proud of how far Amanda has come, how she has and continues to always show up, especially for her kids and I know this is just the start of so much more!

What an incredible story. I’m honestly lost for words. I didn’t know what to expect when I picked up this book, but it completely moved me. The layers of tragedy this woman endured, and the strength she found to come out the other side, are nothing short of remarkable. I've known Amanda for a very long time and I could not be more excited to get my hands on this book. This is one that's gonna hit you and all the feels and is a must read. One of the most talented, strong women that I know.

I finished this book in one sitting - I couldn’t put it down - reading each layer and what this young women then mom went through - but following up each layer with a lesson - truly taking each experience as a learning experience - and growth.
