Vincent Maggy can no longer cope with society. In retaliation, he stocks his apartment up with canned food, and barricades himself from the world, shutting out not only all human contact, but the light of the sun. He isn't worried about being evicted. Something tells him he is going to be just fine.

But while the world moves on without him, virtually at the speed of light, time stands still inside Vincent's apartment. With bugs and roaches making their way inside, he becomes one with the larva, the disease, and the darkness. Finally, after months of living blindly, he pulls the boards off the windows to let it the light. What he finds is a world completely different than how he left it.

Again, I can't say enough about the darkness of some of these stories. This is another heartbreaker, but very real and imaginative to me. Brandon can really capture some pain and heartache of being alone and exaggerating it.
