She’s the reporter he swore he’d never trust. He’s the outlaw she came to expose. But when the cartel marks her for silence, hatred gives way to heat—and desire becomes the most dangerous risk of all.
Gunner I’ve hated reporters ever since the media destroyed what was left of my family. So when Callie Wexler walks into our bar—gorgeous, sharp-tongued, and holding a press badge—I’m ready for a fight. She’s here digging for a story, riding the high off a major exposé she wrote in Denver about our chapter intercepting a cartel trafficking op. Now she thinks there’s more to uncover in Broken Bend.
She’s right. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to help her expose it.
Knight—our Prez—took me in when I had nothing but rage and a wrecked past. He gave me a second chance and a place among the Tempest Knights, the only real family I’ve ever known. And I’ll burn down anyone who threatens it.
Including her.
But the more time I spend with Callie, the more I realize she isn’t just a nosy reporter. She’s fearless. Mouthy. Brilliant. And way too tempting. I should push her away—hell, I tried. But when her search for the truth puts her in the cartel’s crosshairs, I’m the one who shows up.
Because somewhere along the way, she stopped being the enemy. Now she’s mine. And I’ll go to war to keep her safe.
Callie I came to Broken Bend chasing a lead—and trying to survive the fallout from my last big story. The cartel I exposed in Denver wasn’t happy about it, and I needed to lay low while digging into the rumors surrounding the Tempest Knights' founding chapter. And if I’m being honest… I needed space from Denver for more than one reason.
I expected getting answers to my questions from an outlaw MC would be tricky… but what I didn’t expect was him.
Gunner is infuriating, reckless, and impossible to work with—but he’s also magnetic, dangerous, and loyal in a way that terrifies me. From the moment I walk into their clubhouse, he makes it clear he doesn’t trust me. And when the other Knights tell me he’s my “assigned contact,” I know I’m in for one hell of a ride.
He’s determined to stonewall me. I’m determined to get my story.
But the deeper I dig, the more I uncover—about the Knights, the cartel, the town’s corruption, and the secrets that link them. And somewhere in the chaos, Gunner becomes the only person I trust. The only man who makes me feel safe. But danger is closing in. And if we don’t figure out who wants me silenced, I could lose more than just my career.
I could lose my life—and the one man I never saw coming.
The Tempest Knights MC is packed with morally gray heroes who’ll do whatever it takes to protect the women they love. If you crave fast-paced, insta-love romance with a touch of suspense and a HEA—jump on, hang tight, and enjoy the ride.
Eliza writes romance that’s spicy, emotional, and a little bit gritty—stories about broken characters, hard pasts, and the kind of love that has to be fought for. The kind that heals. The kind that’s earned. And always, always ends in a hard-won HEA.
Eliza has been writing for as long as she can remember (with a creative writing degree to prove it), and her stories are heavily inspired by life in Colorado, where she was born and raised. Eliza lives in Denver with her husband and two dogs, and is probably either writing, hiking, reading, or plotting her next emotionally devastating love story.
This is Book 5 in the Tempest Knights MC series. I have read some, but not all of the books. The books are interconnected standalones, so you can follow along without having read them all... but I will say this series relies heavily on the supporting characters from previous books & you might feel a bit lost with the characters' backstories.
Gunner & Callie have a bit of both enemies to lovers & instalove vibes (yes, that sounds contradictory...but it's true)...
The book is fast paced... about 1/2 the book is about them & their relationship, the other 1/2 is about the MC and action/adventure/suspense.
It was neat to see Callie's family history fall into place & see her understand a bit more about her family... and I appreciated that people were gracious & understanding instead of being upset when they found out she had been concealing some info from them...
Spice level: 3/5
*MC romance *instalove *enemies to lovers *romantic suspense *he falls first *dark romance *small town *concealed identities
Thank you to the author (Eliza Rockwood) & Booksprout for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
She's a reporter who changed her name and runs from her past. He's a biker with slutty glasses and slutty thigh tattoos who reads. Just two broken people who find each other when they felt lost.
Gunner is a Road Captain for the Tempest Knights who doesn't want to settle down with anyone. He sees love as a cage and wants no part of it.
Callie is a reporter who's trying to find the truth about her dad and brother. She seeks safety from the Tempest Knights and with that comes a brut of a man who she falls in love with.
There is love, suspense, found Family, a girl gang that are just as fierce, protective and loyal as their men and a touch her and ☠️ biker who will protect her at all costs. You will fall in love with this story and I highly suggest reading the whole series.

Just when I think I couldn’t love this series any more, Eliza goes and drops another one, and I’m in love all over again. Gunner's Wrath was chef's kiss. Callie and his story is definitely one of my favorites in the series. Gunner is the brooding, possessive big daddy energy biker, and Callie is the stubborn, beautiful, bratty reporter that he swears he’s not into. They both swear they don’t need anyone. However, being forced to be around each other proves that there’s something in the air between these two, and no matter how much they try to deny it, it’s there. The sass between these two had me kicking my feet, giggling; it was just too good. Forget about it when events happen and Callie’s been put in danger; the lengths this man goes to make sure she’s safe and in his arms... SWOON. Watching these two realize just how much they want each other was everything. And that spicy scene at the end, yes, sir... I literally cannot stop recommending this series. Now, go be a good girl and grab your copy. Gunner’s waiting!
I am absolutely obsessed with the Tempest Knights MC series. Every book delivers depth, heart, and a romance that is uniquely swoon worthy in its own way.
Callie is stubborn, sassy, and determined to uncover the truth. As a reporter, she can't stop chasing the story. She came to town looking for secrets, but what she discovered was so much more than she ever expected.
Gunner is grumpy, broody, and fiercely possessive of the woman who constantly gets under his skin. Every time Callie mouths off to him, I couldn't help but laugh, knowing all he wants is to put that sharp tongue of hers to better use.
The chemistry between these two is undeniable. They try their best to resist the pull between them, but it's a losing battle. Gunner knows what he wants, and he's determined to make Callie his. When they finally give in, the sparks fly. Their connection is electric, the tension is deliciously spicy, and that bike scene? Absolutely scorching hot.
I absolutely love this series! Every book has a heartwarming, healing quality to it and Gunner’s Wrath was no exception.
Gunner and Callie start off with a quick enemies to lovers dynamic, but it soon blossoms into an insta love romance. Their connection feels natural, and their chemistry is undeniable from the very beginning.
What I loved most was how their relationship helped them heal. Through their care, support, and fierce protectiveness of one another, they finally found a place where they could truly be seen, accepted, and loved.
The found family trope is incredibly strong throughout this series, and it’s one of the many reasons I keep coming back to these books. Seeing the Tempest Knights support one another always makes my heart happy
Fast paced, emotional and impossible to put down, this was another fantastic addition to the series and a total page turner.
She came there looking for answers to a trafficking story that she’s been working on. She heard the MC has been actively working against the cartel to stop it and when there is a price on her head, they are the ones who take her in. And he is the one to protect her. He doesn’t like reporters or what they stand for, but he soon sees where her heart is and he’s damn sure not going to let anyone hurt her, especially when he’s ready to claim her for himself. He never thought he was gonna fall for a woman like some of his club brothers, but he realizes that he’ll do anything to keep her safe, including go to war.

This is book 5 in Tempest Knights MC series. Can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the other books in the series to understand the characters and the ongoing turmoil with the cartel. Callie is a reporter with secrets that lead her to Broken Edge and Tempest Knights MC. Gunner is ordered by the MC to assist and watch Callie . I love their interactions especially when they are fighting the attractions they have toward one another. Their banter is hot so is the spice between them. Enjoyable read with characters that you get invested in. Can't wait for more from the series.

I had the pleasure of receiving this as an e-ARC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. I absolutely loved this whole series it was a phenomenal series!! The FMC is a report who changed her who is running from her past and the MMC is the MC captain who doesn’t want to settle down. Love their chemistry once they find it!! The love and suspense is phenomenal! You have found family, enemies to lovers, he falls first and the banter absolutely loved it!!

The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.
Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

I really do love this series. This one didn’t have quite as much action as some of the previous one’s but I liked how it kind of made things come around full circle. Gunner is really such a softie even though he puts on a tough exterior and Callie has the perfect amount of stubbornness and sass to out him in his place. And the scene on the bike, well the first one 🤭, 🥵. I mean any bike scene really, but IFYKYK 😅. Can’t wait to continue this series with Torque’s book. I received an ARC of this book for my honest review. Thank you Eliza!!
I have really enjoyed seeing Callie and Gunner come together, they have both been through a lot in their pasts and I liked finding out who they had been, who they had become and who they were together. I enjoyed the connections that were discovered, the support in this and seeing Gunner and Callie open themselves up to new feelings, new fears, new possibilities and the love that burned between them.

Callie is a reporter following a story and looking for information about her dad: it leads her right to the Knights and Gunner. There is instant chemistry neither of them want to admit. But the more they work together the more they become attached. This book is actioned packed, they are still dealing with the cartel and some left over issues from other battles. Book five is full of steamy scenes and a lot of danger. This is an incredible read and excellent addition to this series.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get better! Eliza goes and does it again. Amazing! Absolutely love this book! I adore both Gunner and Callie. Spicyyyy! 🥵 The Tempest Knights series is brilliant! If you haven’t read it then you’re missing out.

Another story I've been dying to hear is finally here! Eliza has done it again. I couldn't love this series more if I tried & I will be absolutely gutted when it is finished as it gives me so many SOA vibes😍 I've always wondered about Gunner and finally hearing his story about his past, my heart felt so heavy🥺 especially everything about Callie & the little twist involved?! I did not see that one coming🤯 I can't wait for the next book in this series🏍🖤
Gunner and Callie were so fun to read about! Gunner was adamant that he didn’t want a woman to boss him around and basically wanted his freedom. So to watch him fall for Callie (pretty quickly might I add) was so cute 😍 He fell hook line and sinker and there was no coming back for him.
Together they were feisty and such an adorable couple. The storyline was great and I love this found family.
Of course there was no third act breakup.
I’m so intrigued for more with the tempest knights 🖤
She is there to lay the groundwork for a story. Gunner doesn't trust her and of all the MC brothers he has to be the one she is stuck with but the more she uncovers places a target on her back and Gunner becomes the only one she can trust. It is an action-packed story filled with dangerous twists and turns that drew me in from start to finish.

This is a book about earning trust from a biker who has no reason to trust this person because she is a reporter. Gunnar is the man that is to look after Callie when she comes to the club for protection because she has a target that is on her back because of what she has dug up. She wanted to the truth about her father and her brother. Now she has a big burly biker that has fallen for her and will do anything to protect her.
Gunner does not like reporters but that changes when Callie walked into the bar digging for details of a story. Callie needs to hide out after exposing a cartel so decides to lay low while digging for more information about her story. The more time Gunner spends with Callie, the more he knows that can't keep pushing her away. Will he get her to see what they could have together? Can he keep her safe?
This was a great story about Gunnar and Callie. He was so determined that she wasn’t going to get anything. Until the cartel set their sites on her. And now the two of them are stuck with one another because he doesn’t want anything to happen to her. I loved these two. It was intense with some twists and turns. The spice was just right.
What a great MC romance! Once I started reading Gunner's Wrath, I wanted to keep reading it without taking a break. Callie and Gunner have spicy chemistry that you can feel as you read this book. I really enjoyed this book. I hope you do as well.

I love reading all of Eliza’s books before they are published. Callie and Gunner I feel like it was insta feelings but nobody wanted to speak on them lol but I like the little twists that were in there and finding out more about both of their back stories. The art work is also amazing!
This MC romance is a sweet, steamy story. With great character's, suspense, surprises and banter. That I would absolutely recommend adding to your TBR list.

Absolutely amazing! I fell in love with Eliza writing when I first read Knights book and have not been disappointed since! So excited to read the next books in the series and can’t wait for more!!!
Fun clash between the protagonists with an emotional turn that deepens their connection. Heroine's dangerous, bold research with a personal twist makes it more interesting.

Love this book and it's series and would recommend it to anyone who loves to read about MC life and their family and friends 🩷 and Eliza Rockwood is an amazing writer 🩵
Eliza Rockwood never disappoints and this series is my favourite by far. Each and every installment is a treat and Gunners story was no different. I adore Callie and her smart mouth and well Gunner, like the other Knights is just delicious in his own infuriating way!!
Callie and Gunner’s story is a dark MC romance. It’s enemies to lovers and full of spicy tension and great suspense. This couple knows how to bring the heat.
Gunner’s Wrath, another installment in the Tempest Knights MC series, has quickly become one of my favorite MC romances. Gunner is the kind of morally gray character I love and watching him develop uncontrollable feelings for Callie despite the hatred he thought he had for her had me hooked from start to finish. Callie, a determined reporter searching for the truth about her past and the Tempest Knights, matches Gunner’s animosity with her own, all while struggling to keep her growing feelings in check. Her quest for answers leads her to keep dangerous secrets, but Gunner, despite her reckless decisions, vows to protect her, forcing them both to face their emotions. If you’re into MC romance, insta-love, independent heroines, protective heroes, action, and plenty of spice, this story and the entire Tempest Knights MC series is a must-read. Eliza Rockwood never disappoints, and I can’t wait to see what she delivers next.
