If they let the past control them…the future will never take hold.

Emergence, Book 4

In the six months since Margaret Donovan broke up with her girlfriend, she has prowled Emergence, hoping to find a Dom to help her explore her bisexuality. The only man who’s caught her interest in all that time is the bouncer.

He’s a firm Dom, and after all, it’s just a trial run. An experiment. He doesn’t need to know the details of the troubled past that makes her long to get over her aversion to being under anyone’s thumb.

Carlton Fisher’s keen eye has been tracking Maggie, as well. She looks exactly like the childhood sweetheart who’s haunted him for over a decade, but she doesn’t need to know that. Two weeks’ instruction should get her over her hump, give her the confidence she needs to work with a Dom…and get her out of his system.

Neither is prepared for the floodtide of explosive emotions. It’s cathartic and therapeutic, but if they can’t purge themselves of the pain of the past, their hearts could suffer irreparable damage.

This book contains intense submission from established participants in the BDSM world. If nipple clamps, edging, public nudity, restraints, gags, blindfolds and flogging make you squeamish, move along!

i have read the first one in the series and loved loved this one. After breaking up with her girlfriend Lori six months ago, Maggie is considering looking a firm dom to help her get the true submissive experience. She also wants to explore the new relationship with the male gender for a change, but is only to do so with someone she truly trusts. When she is proposed with a two week temporary arrangement by one of the club workers Carlton, Maggie has no doubt she will accept. Can she handle a firm hand and if so, where will this experience take her when the two weeks are up? arter is a Dom … a bossy, demanding, and super sexy Dom. His past haunts him in the form of a beautiful sub, Margaret. When he realizes she’s looking for a man to dominate her instead of a woman, he can’t see anyone else having the pleasure. Can Margaret and Carter learn to let go of their pasts, or will they let it dictate their futures?

This book was HOT! Makes me want to "do the Carlton"... Dance that is. Bahahaha!!
While I did enjoy the book, I felt the plot was lacking somewhat. Would have liked a bit more suspense or thriller in the dramatic parts of the story.
This book will give you a glimpse into the world of BDSM.

I was really disappointed this this book. Inwanted to read more about Margaret and Clayton's story. Seemed to just STOP..like part was missing.
Liked how brought the feelings of both Clayton dealing with Karen's death abd Margaret and her family. Wanted more on how she found her friend that was hurt qith her. I also can't believe how Margaret family treated and manipulated her to tey to fit into their mold of life. Proud put in Margaret standing up for self to find closer and gow Clayton got closer.

A very emotional read!

I know that I have only read two book from the Emergence series but compared to the last one that I read this one had issues that so many people go through. There are people out there in this world that critic the sexuality of people when it’s none of their business. In my opinion as long as it is not hurting me I don’t care it a person is straight, gay, lesbian or bi that’s their business. In this story we have a woman that from the beginning her family tried to make her into what they believed was normal. They put her in a religious school, they kept her grounded but no matter what the moment that she was able to leave home she left and was able to become the woman she is now.

Margaret “Maggie” Donovan is a beautiful woman and from a young age she knew she was attracted to not only men but also women. She had a girlfriend at a young age but that came with consequences and her parents moved her away. Maggie wanted to know if her girlfriend was okay but she never encountered her again. She was in a committed D/s relationship with a Domme but that ended after the Domme’s Dom came back and own her heart all over again. Now she is in limbo and would like to see what it would be like to have a Dom to be with a man.

Carlton Fisher has been at Emergence for a very long time. He has had submissive’s before but didn’t want to fall in love again and end up getting hurt again. But from the moment that Maggie walked into the BDSM club he had to do a double take. He could not believe it it was like he was seeing the woman he loved all over again. So when the chance came for him to step up and be her Dom he took it. Now when I read this I thought it was wrong because I thought that when he saw her he was seeing Karen. But the more I read the more I realized that he was seeing Maggie as her own person she was nothing like Karen.

Maggie was a submissive but there were times that she question whether it had to do with how she was raised could she be a submissive because of her father. Carlton was a Dom that was very demanding and Maggie was not going to have it so easy like her last Domme. What was a little disturbing was that she gave him everything but she didn’t tell him when she thought someone was following her or when she got those anonymous letters. I would have thought that would have been one of Carlton’s rules was that she tell him if her safety was in danger. As their days pass together they are both falling in love with each other but will it be too late when Carlton doesn’t come totally clean about his late love or when Maggie finds out about what happened to her and her girlfriend so many years ago.

Bound to be Tempted was a great read. I love reading BDSM genre and how each submissive submits to their Dom or how intense the Dom may be. These sexual scenes were tastefully written and so intense. The characters were well written as was the storyline. I’m now wondering if Jason is going to get a happily ever after unless I have missed his story somewhere I haven’t seen.

Totally recommend this read!

Review for Bound to be Tempted: Emergence #4 by Becca Jameson

Bound to be Tempted is the fourth book in the Emergence series by Becca Jameson and can be read as a complete standalone. I am normally a huge stickler for reading series books in order even if they are standalone novels, but in this case it’s the first time that it didn’t bother me. Aside from one or two paragraphs the entire book is about the Hero/heroine with very little crossover from the previous books — which makes me happy because now I can go back and read the first three without them being spoiled!

Margaret has lived her entire life being judged for her life’s choices. After breaking up with her girlfriend and Domme, she’s at loose ends. Everything in her body screams she is finally ready to explore her attraction to men, but her past makes her second guess everything.

Carter is a Dom … a bossy, demanding, and super sexy Dom. His past haunts him in the form of a beautiful sub, Margaret. When he realizes she’s looking for a man to dominate her instead of a woman, he can’t see anyone else having the pleasure.

Can Margaret and Carter learn to let go of their pasts, or will they let it dictate their futures?

I read a lot of erotica, a good portion of those fall into the BDSM genre, one thing that made this one stand out for me was it didn’t focus as much on the club experience. It was a great change of pace.
I enjoyed Jameson’s writing style and she did a wonderful job illustrating a more realistic view of how a Dominant/submissive relationship could be. The storyline had great flow and then of course the smutty parts were hot, hot, hot. Carter had a fantastically dirty mouth.

If you enjoy erotica with a twist of kink, this is a great book for you… four stars for storyline and four wet panties for smut factor.

Oh my, this was a steamy read. Where to find a man like Carlton, inquiring minds wants to know.
I loved this book, it was steamy and all the time it was a sweet romance as well with a bit of suspense hidden in it. I love the style of Becca Jameson. Although some crudeness in language is sometimes spoken, the intention of the book is not about crudeness. It’s about the life of a strict Dom and a submissive who will learn how a strict Dom behaves and how she can benefit from that and the love that shines through.

With extensive experience in the "real-life" BDSM Scene (10 years and an occasional edge player in both dom and sub roles), I am constantly disappointed by current BDSM erotica, because it seems to always be populated with dominants who take without giving. (The constant trope of "If you use your safeword, I will walk out and never return" makes me sick.) This book was actually both emotionally and physically satisfying. It was kinky enough to go past "mommy porn" without being stuck in a "plot-plot-sex-plot" formula. The story was pretty typical in the scene, with somewhat "broken" people made whole by the application of deep intimacy.

THIS is what the Scene is for and how it should be approached. It may never satisfy people who are looking to replicate the distance and mistrust and borderline abuse shown in Fifty Shades, but to someone who knows the intimacy of an emotional beta-male with the heart of an alpha, this book was stunning. (That is also very much centered around my own particular fetish was an added bonus that will ensure the title stays on my Kindle for the foreseeable future. ;-)).

I am loving this series!!! This book is about two people who have known each other for over a year. Carlton in the door man for a BDSM club. Maggie broke up with her Domme and she is going to try a Dom for the first time. Carlton is a strong Dom and agrees to a two week training so she would be a good submissive for any Dom. Problem is they fall in love with each other. But they both have secrets. Can they live thru it and come out the other side together and stronger for it... I love the ending and will enjoy this book many more times.

Funny how our pasts dictates our present and future. Carlton and Maggie are both victims of their pasts and have yet to move on. Maybe with each other they can. What starts out as a temporaray training D/s training arrangement turns out to be so much more. Finally letting go can be so freeing. There are definitely some bumps along the way but these two get their much deserved HEA.

Becca Jameson writes erotic, BDSM romance at Its best. Her characters are multidimensional, interesting and relatable. Their stories are evenly paced and easy to read. I am definitely a fan!

I am loving this series in a whole and was so glad to be given a copy for honest review, while BDSM seems to be the latest thing to be reading and everyone is doing it, i loved how the author was able to make it different to what everyone else is doing.
The characters are so well written, and the story itself is fast paced and makes you want to keep reading. I was actually left feeling empty at the end of the novel I wanted more. Cant wait to read more from this author

I enjoyed this entry in the series the most of all. Book 3 had some issues that pissed me off. This one was soooo good. Carlton and Maggie give each other what they need so badly. The sex scenes are incinderary. The big, bad baggage in their past is dealt with in a mature way, with a minimum of TSTL. This book does well as a standalone. I wonder if I also enjoyed this one because it was less hardcore in the BDSM style.
