Last year, Goodreads reviews led me to download a whimsical story called “ Kitty St. Clair’s Last Dance” by new to ME author, Kate Robb. It was about a young woman who was transported in time whenever she read an old diary that she found.
I was watching for this book on NetGalley but somehow missed it, until a recent review clued me in that it was available so I squeezed it in! I am SO GLAD that I did as this author writes some of the BEST MAGICAL REALISM stories that I have read!
Annalise Harris is a Toronto Scientist who trusts in facts and figures. She recently lost her beloved “Uncle Larry”, the man who took her in and raised her after her mother’s untimely death.
To escape her grief, she has enrolled in a PhD program in Liverpool, and has advertised for a roommate to share her memory filled apartment- for three months- and then to watch over the apartment while she’s gone. But, Mackenzie Smith is NOT the female roommate she was expecting. Instead, HE is a hot, leather-jacket-wearing wannabe rock star.

But Mackenzie and his thrift store jacket are so much more than their looks. When Annalise slips it on one afternoon, she experiences visions that defy every law of logic she believes in. It seems to transport her to places where the jacket has once been, giving her glimpses into a magical past.
As Annalise tries to make sense of these visions, she and Mackenzie grow closer, bonding over the cute “post it notes” that they leave each other, as they rate the unidentifiable baked goods that their neighbor, Harmony shares with them, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies on the couch together, despite the fact that it’s only October.
Annalise realizes that she has quickly fallen for Mackenzie and that she is happy for the first time-in a long time-
BUT, she is leaving soon.
This is another DELIGHTFUL romance filled with SUGAR and SPICE. What I didn’t realize was that the final THIRD of the book has a big focus on CHRISTMAS making it the perfect book to add to your HOLIDAY reading list! It even includes “Uncle Larry’s FAMOUS HOT CHOCOLATE recipe at the back of the book!
Kate Robb’s books are all set in the same World and may feature cameos from characters in her other books but they are all stand-alone novels which can be read in ANY order.
I’m looking forward to catching up with the two that I have missed, as I feel CERTAIN that they will be equally entertaining and enjoyable!

Last year's Kitty St. Clair's Last Dance by Kate Robb was an absolute delight! When I saw Solar Eclipse of the Heart I requested it immediately. Robb blends magical realism into novels with a deft hand. The occurrences are catalysts but never overpower the character development.
Annalise Harris is another wonderful woman in STEM, facts and figures are her road map. She is grieving a lot of loss, lonliness creeping in. Annalise decides to study abroad to earn her PhD, but first she must find a roommate to watch her place while she is gone. She believes the perfect roommate is on her way. Mackenzie seemed like a perfect fit through their emails. However, when Mackenzie turns out to be a hot, leather clad, rocker not to mention a GUY things get a little interesting.
Imagine her surprise when trying his vintage leather jacket causes her to travel to other places in time although she can't interact with what she experiences. Annalise looks to science but comes up empty for explanantions.
This was a fun read that didn't take itself too seriously. I found it to be the perfect dose of escapism. The supporting characters brought amazing energy to the pages.

A story filled with romance, longing, grief, friendship, wonder, and just enough mystery to make me question whether perhaps the impossible isn't so impossible after all.
Annalise believes in facts, science, and logic. Mackenzie believes in fate, signs, and the things that can't always be explained. She is a neuroscientist who needs an explanation for everything, while he's a musician who is perfectly comfortable believing in the things that can't be explained. So when the roommate Annalise is expecting turns out to be a charming, leather jacket wearing musician, and his vintage black leather jacket begins unlocking visions that defy every ounce of her scientific reasoning, her carefully ordered world starts to shift.
And I loved every minute of it.💖
The romance between Annalise and Mackenzie was everything I wanted. A slow burn filled with yearning, longing, tenderness, banter, and just enough angst to make my heart ache. Mackenize falls first, but he never tries to rush her. He sees the walls around her heart and gives her the space to find her way through them. Their relationship felt honest, mature, and refreshingly free of unnecessary misunderstandings. I was completely, hopelessly rooting for them.🥰💕
But what makes this story so special was the way romance and grief could exist side by side without one eclipsing the other.
Annalise has endured so much loss. After losing her mother and then her beloved Uncle Larry, she has learned to move through life by holding tightly to what she can understand. Watching her slowly open herself to love, friendship, possibility, and happiness again was incredibly moving.
Her grief mattered, but it was never allowed to become the whole story. There was still room for laughter, friendship, romance, wonder, and all those little moments that make a life feel full. Watching Annalise find her people, let herself be cared for, and realize that there is still so much life waiting for her was one of my favorite parts of the book.
And then there was Uncle Larry, with his belief in shooting stars, signs, and all his wonderful little isms. I adored the way his presence lingered throughout the story. Maybe some of the things Annalise dismissed as impossible weren't so impossible after all.
I fell in love with the little things, too, the Hallmark Christmas movies that somehow began in October, the texts between Annalise and MacKenzie, the Christmas traditions, her collection of ornaments, rooftop stargazing, Coco, and Harmoney with her wonderfully questionable baked goods. Those details made the story feel warm, whimsical, and alive, and made these characters feel like people I didn't want to leave behind.🎄🍪
I was swooning, smiling, laughing, and tearing up throughout this beautiful story.🥹💓 I loved these characters, I loved their journey, and I loved the quiet reminder that sometimes we can miss life's most beautiful moments when we're too busy searching for a rational explanation.
Maybe we aren't meant to understand everything.✨ Maybe some people find us exactly when we're ready for them. 💓Maybe the universe sends us what we need, right when we need it. 🌙 And maybe, just maybe, magic does exist after all.💫💜

And then there’s Mackenzie Smith! A leather-jacket-wearing, aspiring musician who is definitely not the roommate Annalise expected? 4.5 Leather Jacket Stars
I had the joy of reading this one in almost one sitting on a recent flight. It was the perfect tale to keep me engaged and entertained. It had a bit of spice, too!
Annalise is an academic living in Toronto and heading to Liverpool for her PhD. She has found a roommate to live with for a few months before the roommate housesits for her two-year program.
Annalise is grieving, and a fresh start sounds like a great idea. After losing her mother when she was young, she was raised by her uncle. Sadly, she recently lost her uncle as well, so now she finds comfort in her scientific world.
Her new roommate is Mackenzie, and Annalise is eager to meet her. Imagine her shock when she discovers that Mackenzie is a man! He's incredibly handsome, writes songs, and plays drums. He also has a familiar-looking leather jacket.
One night, Annalise stumbles into the bar where Mackenzie is playing and discovers that his band is quite good. Beyond his musical skills, Annalise appreciates the friendship they’ve developed. They share some great takeout meals, and he even agrees to watch some cheesy holiday movies with her. When his band goes on the road, they start texting regularly.
It’s no surprise that these two have chemistry, they almost seem to be destined to be together. Her uncle always told her to watch for signs from the universe. But what weird magic is happening when Annalise puts on the leather jacket? Multiple times, she has weird visions of the past. She sees things from her uncle’s life and others who have worn the jacket.
I liked some of the side characters in this one; the downstairs thrift store owner, Koko, becomes a true friend. Hamony is the interesting neighbor who constantly bakes special things for them to enjoy.
Annalise is coming back around to all things Christmas, so she has a delightful time when Mackenzie invites her to his house for the holidays. She finds a magically decorated house and a wonderful family.
Things look rocky for the pair when it’s time for Annalise to head to Liverpool and Mackenzie gets an offer to do songwriting. They want to be together, but also need to follow their dreams. I rooted for them, but it seemed things weren't meant to be after all. Was there any magic left I the leather jacket?
I enjoyed discovering this author last year with her book “Kitty St. Clair’s Last Dance” and I definitely want to read her earlier books!

I enjoyed discovering this author last year with her book “Kitty St. Clair’s Last Dance” and I definitely want to read her earlier books!

Solar Eclipse of the Heart had a sprinkling of magical realism, a dash of friendship, and a handful of love. It was the perfect blend of being heartfelt, romantic, and whimsical. Plus, that ending had me sobbing all the happy tears. If you’re looking for a slow burn romance that also includes healing from grief, and finding your found family, this is the book for you!
Annalise Harris had a past filled with loss. With her focus on moving to Liverpool in three months to get her PhD in neuroscience, she didn’t have time for friendships that could fade with distance. But life has a tricky way of showing us exactly what we need. After trying on a jacket and getting a vision that didn’t make a lot of sense to her, her life started to flourish.
Mackenzie answered Annalise’s ad to rent her unit while she was studying abroad. And I loved him! Mackenzie was such a good, kind man. While the beginning between them was awkward, I loved watching their friendship form. Their post-it notes conversations, teasing moments that were heartwarming and toe curling, and every single time he made her laugh were happy inducing. He felt like home.
With a quirky neighbor that’ll keep you guessing what that next secret ingredient will be, and people Annalise couldn’t help but form a friendship with, I loved watching her slowly start to open to those around her. As bits and pieces of her visions started to come together, it was fun having a little bit of mystery sprinkled into this story. AND Christmas too! Maybe ⅕ of the book, or more, was set during Christmas and I loved it! With Christmas movie watching, Christmas markets, Christmas trees, hot cocoa, snow sculptures, Christmas cookie baking, and a white elephant present that was perfection, it was the icing on the cake!

Solar Eclipse of the Heart by Kate Robb

Kate Robb knows how to write a charming romance! Her characters have great chemistry, her banter is delightful, and she has a real talent for creating relationships worth rooting for. I enjoyed Solar Eclipse of the Heart, although I was hoping for a little more magic, both literally and figuratively. Prime Time Romance remains my favorite of her books.
The story follows Annalise, who is preparing to leave for a two-year doctoral program in Europe. She’s also grieving the loss of her beloved uncle to cancer. When a leather jacket that once belonged to him resurfaces at a thrift shop, Annalise discovers that putting it on transports her into a memory. Meanwhile, she’s developing feelings for her roommate, MacKenzie, a musician who happens to be the person who has the jacket.
The romance is easily the strongest part of this book. Annalise and MacKenzie have wonderful chemistry, their banter feels natural, and the friends-to-lovers relationship is genuinely sweet. This is where Robb really shines.
Unfortunately, the magical realism never quite came together for me. It’s not that the jacket’s powers went unexplained, but rather that the storyline didn’t reach the emotionally satisfying conclusion I was hoping for. There were several threads that seemed to be leading somewhere meaningful but ultimately didn’t amount to much. In particular, I wanted Annalise’s uncle and her grief over his death to play a more significant role in the story. The setup had so much potential for exploring memory, loss, and the people we carry with us, but I felt like we only scratched the surface.
I also had the pleasure of tandem reading this one, thanks to an eARC from Dial and NetGalley and an advance audiobook from Penguin Random House Audio!
The audiobook is narrated by Brittany Pressley, who is one of my favorite romance narrators. She is especially good at voicing slightly insecure, somewhat neurotic female protagonists. Honestly, sometimes she sounds like the voice inside my own head! Her performance was excellent, and this was an especially easy book to follow on audio. I loved being able to switch between the e-book and audiobook depending on what I was doing.
Ultimately, this is a sweet, entertaining romance that left me wishing the magical elements had carried a little more emotional weight. If you’re looking for a charming palate cleanser, something light and easy that doesn’t demand too much of you, this could be exactly the book you’re in the mood for.

Magical realism grounded in reality is one of my favorite little niche genres, and Kate Robb does it so beautifully in Solar Eclipse of the Heart. There’s something so special about a story that feels completely relatable while weaving in just enough magic to make you wonder about the possibilities. I loved the idea of fate, signs from the universe, and the possibility that some things in life can’t be explained by logic alone. This was every bit as sweet, heartfelt, and heartwarming as I hoped it would be.
At its heart, this is a story about grief, loss, loneliness, and finding your way forward when life hasn’t turned out the way you expected. Annalise is someone who relies on facts and logic to make sense of the world, so watching her navigate something as unpredictable as grief while slowly opening herself up to the impossible was incredibly touching. I loved her character, and Mackenzie was equally wonderful. Their slow burn romance was beautifully developed, with so many sweet, tender moments that made their growing connection feel genuine and meaningful. I adored them both individually and together.
The supporting cast of quirky, charming characters added so much warmth and personality to the story, and I especially loved the Toronto setting. The city was described so vividly that it felt like an important part of the story itself. Between the wonderful characters, cozy atmosphere, and little touches of magic, there was so much to enjoy here. Robb has such a lovely way of balancing emotional depth with humor, romance, and whimsy without ever losing that grounded, realistic feeling I appreciate so much.
What I loved most was the underlying message about learning to embrace uncertainty, finding happiness after heartbreak, and being willing to believe that maybe the universe has a few surprises in store for us. I really do love the idea that fate and little signs might play a role in our lives, and this story captured that feeling beautifully. Solar Eclipse of the Heart was a sweet, thoughtful, and wonderfully romantic read that left me with such a warm feeling. I’ve really enjoyed Kate Robb’s books, and this one was another lovely reminder of why I keep coming back to her stories.

I can't even explain how much I absolutely adored this book. It is without a doubt my favorite Kate Robb release to date, with Kitty St. Clair's Last Dance now an extremely close second. Magical realism romances have proven time and time again to be some of my favorites to read. I love getting lost in the magic moments mixed into every day life and stepping foot into a world that feels a little whimsical.
While the stories that Kate has created carry that warm magical feeling, they also pull at every single heartstring you have. I have not made it through a single Kate Robb book without weeping. I loved this whole story but Uncle Larry will hold such a special space in my heart. The discussion of grief is handled with care and literally hits you right in the heart. I actually cried so many times. The friendships throughout the story are just as sweet and Koko adds a little chaos to Annalise's life which she needs! We love Koko.
Solar Eclipse of the Heart was such a beautiful romance story that wraps you right in from the very beginning. The romance was soft and fun and just so easy to go along for the ride. It would also be a perfect read for right around the holidays IMO! It's not a Christmas romance but there is a lot of cozy holiday / Christmas vibes in the latter half of the book. I honestly may re-read this in December because I already miss the characters immediately after finishing. It all tied up beautifully and while I also love books that remain a bit open-ended, a nice crisp ending to a story is also so satisfying when all the dots seem to connect. I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy so I can do some annotating and update my review a bit but I just wanted to throw my initial feelings about this book since I simply just adored it.
I highly rec this book for those who adore magical realism and whimsy or for those who have read and loved Ashley Poston's novels. When I requested this book, I was expecting a fun little romance with a magic twist. I was NOT expecting a heart wrenching story about dealing with loss, love, and found family. I was hooked from the very first chapter, and when it came full circle I had tears welling in my eyes. There were sooooo many chapters where I was kicking my feet with a goofy smile on my face. The interactions between Annalise and Mackenzie made me so happy, and I was just rooting for them the entire book. I knew eventually they would have to part ways when she headed off to Liverpool, but was not expecting the complete 360 degree turn the story took when they both made it to Spain together. Larry was truly watching over these two and pulling strings to give Annalise everything she needed in life.
This was my first time reading a novel by Kate Robb, but you bet your butt I am going to devour the rest of the books in this series.

Annalise was a woman of science and logic. No matter how much she had loved her uncle Larry, she did not share his faith in fate until she started experiencing some strange visions which had her rethinking her stance on the whole subject. I rather enjoyed the magical element in this story. It did not overtake the story, but rather, it helped me gather information regarding these kismet connections in Annalise's life.
The bits of magic were interesting, but it was the friendships that took center stage for me. First and foremost was Mackenzie and Annalise. He wasn't exactly what she was expecting, but they quickly formed a bond while enjoying Hallmark holiday movies. There was a great vibe between these two, and I was thrilled to see Annalise take a chance on Mackenzie.
Mack was not the only one to penetrate Annalise's heart, and the found family she assembled was so important to me. I did not want Annalise to go it alone, and she was fortunate to find support with neighbors Koko and Harmony. Both were quirky, charming, and there to help shoulder some of Annalise's grief.

I really enjoyed this cute story! I loved the characters and how their relationship developed throughout the story. The romance was sweet and engaging, and I especially liked how the magical elements added another layer to the story. They brought something unique to the plot while also helping the main character grow and discover more about herself. I thought the story had a great balance of romance, magic, and character development. The ending was satisfying and brought everything together in a way that felt meaningful.

Kate Robb’s magical realism really just does it for me! I love that the magic feels somehow grounded in reality, while still being a perfect vehicle for fantastical things to happen within a real setting, in this case Toronto which is a city I am very familiar with. I loved the mentions of Toronto streets and staples. I also got very emotional nearing the end and once I figured out where it was going.

I always love Kate Robb's magical realism books and this was no exception. The grief was handled so well, the romance was sweet, Annalise had great character development, and I was a little nervous to put on my leather jacket this morning (iykyk) I loved the easter eggs for her other books and found quite a few before the cheat sheet in the back. I absolutely loved Kate's advice at the end as well - it had me choked up! Can't wait to read her next book!

This one was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I didn't dislike it, but I definitely had some gripes.
I went into this expecting a true slow burn romance, and I just didn't really get that. I actually liked the friendship between the characters and didn't mind how quickly things progressed once their relationship changed, but calling this a slow burn felt like a stretch to me.
I also expected the grief aspect to hit a lot harder. There was so much potential for this to be an emotional story, but that part felt more like it was sitting in the background than something that really drove the story.
The magical realism was probably my biggest question mark. I liked the idea of it, but by the end I was left wondering what exactly I was supposed to take from some of it. There were moments that felt really interesting and then other moments where I was just... okay, but what are we doing here?
And the ending felt VERY abrupt. I wanted just a little more explanation and a little more time to let everything settle.

Mackenzie - the hot, leather jacket wearing musician who writes his own songs. I was destined to fall in love with you the second you were introduced.
I am still picturing the stars and the solar eclipse and the magic that this book brought me.

I'm not happy to say this: I really wanted to like this book. The cover is stunning and the premise pulled me in. But this book fell more flat for me every time I tried to push myself to read more.
I didn't get why the prologue was about the death of Annalise's uncle when the story was actually romance, because let's be real, that part didn't make any sense because the execution was not really good. I have absolutely loved all of Kate Robb's books thus far, and "Solar Eclipse of the Heart" is no different. I adored this one. Robb flawlessly melds romance and heart with a touch of magic and fantasy in each of her works. Here, Annalise (FMC) is trying to move on with her life following the loss of her uncle, her guardian, her friend. Her life now revolves around work, eating, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, and sleeping. She doesn't have many friends because she can't imagine having more loss in her life. Annalise is about to move to the UK for her scientific PhD work. She needs to get a roommate who will eventually sublet her apartment while she's away. She has been emailing with Mackenzie (MMC), who sounds like they will be the perfect candidate. It turns out, Mackenzie is a super hot and enigmatic musician. One day, at the thrift shop below her apartment, she tries on a black leather jacket that looks like it belonged to her uncle and is transported to a moment in time, a memory that doesn't necessarily make sense to her at first. Mackenzie buys the jacket, and whenever Annalise puts on this jacket, she gets another vision. This makes no sense to the science-minded Annalise, who tries to come at the situation with logic, facts, and reason, the opposite of the way her uncle lived his life. Mackenzie starts to wiggle his way into Annalise's life, and as her defenses slowly lower, they start to fall for one another. I love the way Robb mixes emotion, grief, love, and magical realism in this story. I loved all of the characters. Annalise is intelligent and driven, but also has a bit of whimsy to her from being raised by her uncle. She intimately knows loss and grief, but she is trying not to let it define her. Mackenzie is a lovely human being, a wonderful musician, and the utmost cinnamon roll MMC. I loved the yearning and tension between them. Annalise slowly realizes that Mackenzie is important to her somewhere in between ordering Thai food from her favorite restaurant, eating baked goods from her wacky neighbor, Harmony, making friends with Koko, the quirky owner of the thrift shop who has wormed her way into Annalise's life, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies, texting him as they watch the movie together from afar while he's on tour. Their feelings slowly unfold in small ways that become very, very big and very, very real. I love how everything connects together: all of the characters, the visions, the small nuances, a little sentence or off-the-cuff remark that seems unassuming - they all mean something in the grand scheme of the story. I found this to be a clever, heartwarming, endlessly charming novel that I could see playing out in my mind as I read. I just love Kate Robb's work!

What a delight! Part magical realism and part coping with the loss of your family, "Solar Eclipse of the Heart" hits all the right notes for a perfect story of fate and circumstances.
I am not a huge believer in everything happening for a reason, but this book turned me into one. I loved how the webs of fate worked to bring Annalise and Mackenzie together. A magical jacket bringing 2 strangers together? Sign me up!
This story was full of heart and romance. Annalise is trying to move on with her life after the loss of her last remaining relative. She is simply going through the motions of living while trying to remain as unobtrusive as possible. Enter Mackenzie. Slightly chaotic, but here to bring Annalise out of hiding. What starts as a case of mistaken identity, quickly turns into a mutually beneficial roommate relationship.
Mackenzie is that man. When he says he'll take care of you, listen. I loved how he listened to Annalise and met her where she was. He was so kind and patient with her and truly learned her in a way no one else had before. Annalise was able to open up to those around her, slowly, and over time with a little bit of love and patience. It was so wonderful to see her finally let out an exhale and be happy. I felt her grief off the page and wanted her to be comfortable enough to let love in.
I enjoyed the magical part of the story. It wasn't too much or too often- just enough to keep things interesting and magical. Kate Robb is becoming a comfort author for me and I will enjoy seeing what she comes up with next!

This book was exactly what I needed it to be! It had the right amounts of magical realism, intrigue, and feeling predictable and then throwing you a curveball.
Annalise is tackling multiple layers of grief throughout this story while trying to continue on the path she has set out for herself. But she can’t help but continue to hear her uncles optimistic advice about following signs, wishing on shooting stars and just feeling the general magic in every situation.
Enter Mackenzie, who turns everything Annalise thought she knew on its head, while sporting a strangely familiar leather jacket that is giving her hallucinations.
I will admit, I felt a little freaking out at first when I learned the MC and I share a birthday and a deceased uncle with the same name (not a spoiler).
I really liked Annalise as a character, because she was flawed and pessimistic in the best way. She was logical and couldn’t wrap her head around what was happening to her but knew there had to be an explanation, right?

ugh i LOVED this book. i am a very strong believer in everything happens for a reason, and little signs from the universe, and i loved the way this main character strongly didn’t believe in those things, and slowly starts to throughout the book. every little tidbit and fun backstory we got ended up connecting to something later on in the book, and i absolutely love how well thought out it was! the love interests were so perfect for each other, and i truly loved watching their relationship grow. all of the side characters were so lovable too, i really enjoy when outside friendships are thoroughly explored in romance books!! this book was so so good, i am def a big kate robb fan!!

Magical realism is my fav, and I’ve loved Kate Robb’s previous books with her sweet touch of magic, so I couldn’t wait to read her latest book. And it did not disappoint, I highly recommend it!
Annalise has lost everyone important to her in her life. First her mother, and then her beloved Uncle Larry. He believed in fate and signs from the universe, but the only way she can now make sense of the world is through structure and pouring herself into her scientific studies and work. She has no time for fun or a social life. She’s leaving soon for London to work on her PhD, so she gets a roommate who will then take care of her apartment while she’s away. This brings Mackenzie into her life. Mac seems to be the exact opposite of her, picking up and moving to Toronto on a hunch to join a band & believing in signs, just like her uncle. She figures she just has to get through the next through months and not get attached before leaving for London.
The magic aspect of this book was so unique! When Annalise tries on Mac’s leather jacket, she’s transported back in time, but only as an observer. Each time she does this, she sees another flashback from the jacket’s life. I can’t say much more without spoilers, but I absolutely loved how this was done & how everything tied together.
I loved watching how Mac helped Annalise grow and work through her grief. Watching the slow burn of their relationship, from their friendship through something, more felt so authentic. Their banter was fantastic and I really just loved everything about them!
When Annalise takes a chance to learn more about Mac, this also helps her make other friends & enhance her life. Her friendship with Koko was so much fun to watch develop. All of the side characters were fun to meet & important to the story.

I am an eclipse chaser (when my schedule and finances allow) so I loved the idea of this story, though I could not believe Annalise didn't want to go in the opening chapter of the book. The concept of the visions was so intriguing and I loved what she learned from each one, considering them logically as a scientist, and incorporating what she learns into her grief, which is very palpable in the story; while this is a romance with a HEA, her grief, while appropriately blended into the story, is very real and dictates a lot of her reactions so be forewarned if you're looking for something a little lighter. I love Annalise and Mackenzie together, getting to know them and watching their lives, as different as they were, merge together. Highly recommended!

You could feel the magic between these two from the start. They were, like Mackenzie says, inevitable. Grief is a heavy thing, and it seemed like Annalise assumed everything good in life would eventually go bad. I would too if I lost two of the lost important people in my life. But Mackenzie broke through those walls and showed her that sometimes the universe is looking out for us and gives us what we need at the right time. Kate did such a good job of writing the love between these two.
