Bionics #4-6

The Resistance

Rate this book
All it takes is a spark…

Blythe Sol never would have thought she would become the face of the Restoration Resistance. Yet, that is just what has happened now that the battle lines have been drawn. With the movement sweeping the United States, the stakes are higher than ever as President Drummond continues to prove his dedication to the destruction of the Bionics and all who stand with them.

The flame has been ignited…

As anger and frustration among the American people reaches the boiling point, citizens begin to fight back, many showing their support for the Bionics… despite the personal costs to themselves. As protests turn violent, and people who once cowered in silence begin to fight back, the government continues its practices that fly in the face of the very principles the nation was founded upon.

The time has come to revolt …

Despite the many losses it has sustained, the Resistance stands strong, leading America into revolution and onward toward change. With an unlikely, ragtag family of misfits at its forefront, the Resistance stands, while a girl who lost everything continues to fight for a future that was once impossible, but may now be within her reach.

What an amazing and intense book! My emotions were everywhere reading this! I had to excuse myself from the room to go have a few good cries of sadness and was shouting out "YES!" and "I KNEW IT!" quite a few times as well. Action packed and very relateable in a political way any freedom loving American can relate too. All of the characters are wonderful to read, and as much as you are excited to get to the next character, it is hard to leave the current viewpoint, they are just that loveable. Just like Bionics, book 1 in this series, Resistance follows 3 of the main characters in each of the three sections as the story moves along. Amazing and thought out history of the plot and scenarios. And almost scary believable in the power hungry and control seeking politicians and leaders in this series. To say never a dull moment is the understatement of the year! If you enjoy a great action packed, well thought out, heart racing Dystopian book with a lot of badass characters, then look no further!

Having just finished reading book 2 of "The Bionics" series, 'The Resistance' WOWZER, I can't wait till book 3 comes out! You have read book 1 'The Bionics' before you start 'The Resistance'... as it starts almost were book 1 finishes, & without reading the from the start, you wont understand what's happening.

The continuatution of the story, delves deeper in what's happening in the world of Blythe, Dax & Gage. The twists & turns in the plot are shocking & enthralling to read, things are happening that made me want to scream & jump into the book to help. Again the POV changes do jump around, but they are distinctly marked with times, locations, etc.... I love how you get a feel for what's occuring all over the country.

I can not wait to be able to read book 3 of "The Bionics" series, it couldn't come soon enough. I want to know what happens to Blythe, Dax & their fellow freedom fighters on the resistance. Alicia knows how to weave a truly unique & enthralling tale.

The Resistance Does Well as Book 2 in This Series

An ample follow up to The Bionics. Some of the plot twists got me but some of it was predictable. If you've read or seen enough dystopian novels or movies they have a distinct feel. This one is no different. I am interested in how things turn out for the characters. Each character has their own strengths and flaws, but they work within the structure of the series. Well laid out but predictable.

The was a part where I was listening while in bed, with my cats and dog. A thing happens. This particular thing involves an incredible amount of feels. So I'm laying down, trying to hold it together. ...I don't need my animals judging me. Anyway, I failed. I'm laying there, trying to explain to them why it's okay that I'm sad, and then I start crying. And I'm just holding my cat, Joker, tightly and begging him to fix it.

This book has more twists and turns than a NASCAR road race, but it's certainly never dull. With Gage gone, Blythe and Dax drift back toward their earlier friendship and the war against the government heats up. We get an inside look at the President's nefarious plans and meet a new set of resistance fighters. Yet another cliffhanger ending, but well worth the read.

Breathlessly waiting!

I am breathlessly waiting for the finishing fight. This is way more then I expected. This author is one to keep following. As lives and families are destroyed the peaceful protesters turn fighters, no choice is left. I stand with them. Don't make me wait Alicia!

Trying to decide if this is meant to be ironic

I’m all for an laid back, quick read but, no disrespect to the authors hard work but, this book is the most contrived piece of work I’ve encountered since Nicki Minaj’s ass. Kind of like watching Jersey Shore, you know it’s nonsense but you get sucked in and can’t look away. 1 star for cool names I will remember and another star for getting me to read a 2nd installation.
