Fallen Beads: Unforgiven Mistakes is the story of a teenage orphan named Indumathi, whose trust is betrayed by the man she believed would be her saviour. With no one to turn to and nowhere to go, she is left with no choice but to remain bound to him, carrying the burden of his crime for the rest of her life, knowing nothing can undo his inhumane deed.
Some mistakes do not deserve forgiveness and can never be forgotten. But can love find a way to heal those dreadful memories?

Though I am way off the targeted audience, this was an enjoyable light read and a cute love story in all its complexities.
The development of characters and plot felt to be out of pace at times, which gave the narrative a filmy feeling. Still the story managed to charm its way through the familiar premises, very easily, without being a drag. The first critical thought about this book would be to discuss rape, society and aftermaths; But I found the way it tackled guilt and the vicious cycle it can pull anyone into, more commendable.
Many thanks to the author for a review copy and the good feelings that followed the story.
I loved this book! It kept me engaged from beginning to the very end. I know Viky made a horrible mistake, even unforgivable. But I couldn't help routing for him. Indu was a very sweet girl, a bit stubborn but with ever right to be. I don't want to say too much to give the story away. But this was definitely a page Turner for me. Hard to put down. I fell in love with the characters and didn't want it to end. When I reached the end I didn't want it to be over. Awesome job A.K. Raj! I would love to read another book from this author!
