So excited this book finally arrived....LOVE THE SERIES

This might be my favorite book of the entire series! Nothing scary just a view of the connections between the main characters with grace and humor. The store itself was unique and kept my interest at every page. I hate that authors only get paid for first time a book is read, I re-read my favorites multiple times just like visiting my family. Please keep them coming!

Family is everything

Wow. Just wow. I did not see that coming. Best book in the series. All the usual wrists and turns you expect from Sherry, and to write herself into the story as well? Fantastic! Recommend to both new readers and serial fanatics like me. Looking for book 20 now . ....

Really glad I found this series

Look forward to every installment. Only wish the books were longer. This book left me smiling. See that "Maine Event", the next book, is to be a full length novel, so will be a "Main Event". lol

Family Ties by Sherry A. Burton is an appealing addition to the Jerry McNeal series, bringing together the cozy mystery and paranormal genres in a premise that immediately catches the attention. The combination of a psychic protagonist and a ghost dog sidekick gives the story a distinctive personality while maintaining the approachable feel that readers often look for in cozy mysteries.

As the nineteenth book in the series, Family Ties also has the advantage of an established world and returning readership. The paranormal elements add an extra layer of intrigue, while the family-centered title suggests that personal relationships may be just as important to the story as the mystery itself.

I particularly like how the series concept blends supernatural investigation with the lighter, character-focused qualities of a cozy mystery. The ghost dog is an especially memorable touch and gives the series its own identity.

Overall, Family Ties looks like a fun choice for readers who enjoy paranormal mysteries, psychic investigators, cozy crime, and recurring characters. Its availability in print and audiobook also gives it opportunities to reach readers across multiple formats.

This nineteenth book in the series takes Jerry on another journey after his family moves into their newly built home.

Jerry’s focused on learning more about his boss, Fred. He’s the big cheese who seems to know everything and handle any situation at a moment’s notice. Will Jerry learn more about this secretive man?

Jerry uses a trip to look at a new puppy to do some investigating. Gunter and he go on a road trip, which is never as easy as it should be when you can see and hear ghosts.

Jerry and Gunter are quite a pair, and I enjoyed the focus on them in this book. The mysterious Fred came across differently, which I loved, as he’s been so secretive in past books.

The possibility of another pup joining this crew makes me smile! I love dogs, and the paranormal aspect is even more fun to read about.

Thank you to Sherry A. Burton for allowing me the privilege of proofreading and reviewing this fantastic addition to the Jerry McNeal series.

I love the series

I am only at chapter 6, but I already remember why I love this series so much and I found myself smiling and laughing out loud. I read many books since Marry Me, but they don't have the same draw on me.
The characters in this series are well developed and the writing is lighthearted and inviting. I can't say much about this story yet, and I don't want to add any spoilers. If you've read the series, you will find old friend and meet new additions. If you haven't read the series, do yourself a favor and start from the beginning with Always Faithful. You won't regret it.
Personally, I'm going to finish reading this book while eagerly awaiting the next installment....

Jerry McNeal Series - Well worth the read!!

Great read, Jerry and his K9 partner (who is a ghost) get into all kinds of situations. These books are comical, serious and great reads. If you like paranormal adventure books, the Jerry McNeal series of books are a must read,. There are 20 books in the series with each book unique in its own right. The character's in the books are well meaning but always bring there own ghost type of ghost mayhem. Start with book 1 to get the feel of the characters as well as Gunter, Jerry's K9 ghost partner. You most definitely will not be sorry

Wow!

OK! What a great one. I'm not always blown away but this one was great. Jerry gets called out by Fred to come to Virginia. As he travels he helps a few folks along the way. Fred is being quiet about why he is there but when Jerry finds out, it all makes sense. Also there is another reason to be there. So pick up this book right away. This series has been highly recommended and I know why. You should too! Thanks Sherry!

still open for adventures

I was tickled to see the author write herself into this story. Makes me wonder what if anything will come of it. This book was not as compelling as earlier books but the behind the scenes guy was front and center. Fred is a little less scary! Thanks for writing this. You keep adding openers for next books so I am encouraged that this may have a few more books in it!

You just gotta love them

Did Gunther do it again? On the road to see if there are "special" pups. Moving into a new house, what does the red rose, is the boss keeping secrets, you never know who you're going to run into while on a road trip and you never know what kind of surprise you're going to have when you get home. Can't wait for more of the McNeal family, dogs and ghostly friends.

Always love to read a book about Jerry and the crew. Not to give anything away but awesome surprise. I would definitely recommend this book and this series to anyone. This is a paranormal book series but you don't have to believe in that to enjoy to stories.

Fun read

Too short of a "book." Good stories and kept my interest. Lots of dog appearances which is why I keep reading these. It''s all about Gunter and Houdini as far as I'm concerned. April is kind of a dud. After waiting all this time, it would be better to actually have a full book instead of just 168 pages.

A terrific series

This was another entertaining, humorous, and intriguing story, and a great addition to the series. With a few unexpected twists, surprise additions to the family, as well as figuring out more about their boss, it's certainly not a story or series to be missed.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Book 19 in the series

April and Jerry are newly married and are getting settled in their new house. A new Gunter puppy will be joining them soon. The spirits are out in force but are not much help in the new house. Jerry gets called to Virginia to work on a situation. A great story.

Another good tale

Jerry and Gunter on their own to awhile brought some good ghost adventures. He is getting to be a family man of high standing.
And gets into the strangest situations. I guess if you can communicate with ghosts that is par for the course. I'm looking forward to the next events.

Another fun read!

It was nice to find out more about Fred’s background. Jerry has his share of ghostly encounters while Max and April continue to unpack boxes and set up their new household. There’s a fun surprise or two at the end.

Sherry did it again! I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read this book yet so I can't say too much. It's a must-read for those who are keeping up with the series or need a break from all the stresses going on in life right now.

I really like this series . It’s very light reading and the stories are ones that make you feel good that you read them. The way that Jerry uses his psychic abilities is very well thought out in all the ways he helps the living and dead. Enjoy!!
