Love and duty are thrown to the treacherous deep sea in the next Ever Seas book from bestselling author and TikTok sensation LJ Andrews.
She is the life of the party. He is the villain you never wish to meet alone.
Tait Heartwalker may be the cousin of the Ever King, but royally good company he is not. He’s ill-tempered and unapproachable, sharpened by the hard responsibilities of life and loyalty. But to the dismay of Mira Sekundär, princess of the glamour fae, he’s also intoxicating to look at.
Despite doing their best to avoid each other, fate has other plans when an otherworldly storm shipwrecks Tait and Mira far beyond the boundaries of the Ever Kingdom. They are forced to break through the thorny barriers between them and work together to find their way home. One wrong step and they’ll never return alive…
Yet as their feelings deepen, a new threat rises from the waters. And this enemy is so dangerous, even the history books tried to forget their existence.
LJ Andrews is a USA Today and Sunday Times bestselling author of fantasy romance. She mystically brings to life worlds of dark Nordic and Viking myths bound by conflicts that bring together impassioned heroes and heroines.
In her non-author moments, she is courageously corralling her four children to the myriad of life activities that involves, along with spending time with her favorite hero, her husband. Add two high maintenance dogs and a sassy conure to the mix and that sums it up. LJ Andrews thrives spending time in the Rocky Mountains where she lives in Utah.
The book is postponed two years after original date? That just doesn’t seem fair towards original fans who's been waiting and looking forward to this book.
update on my mental state The cover is up and gorgeous, the tropes are exactly my weakness, and I’m not okay. I already know I’ll be crying tonight without this book in my hands.🥲
A few paragraphs in Ever Queen and I’m already addicted. I NEED them like oxygen 😭
Tait and Mira’s story will be worth every second of waiting. I’m glad that LJ has the extra time to make sure TSC is everything she wants it to be and more. Sometimes going trad means having to change some timelines around, but if that means the authors I love get to have some room to breathe and their current works get to reach a wider audience, then I’ll wait as long as I have to. We are not entitled to their art, and I think the book community as a whole needs to be reminded that these books are gifts.
THANK YOU JL Andrews for an early ARC of your book! She asked for early readers prior to sending out official ARCs and I jumped at the opportunity.
I ADORE the Ever Seas and dare I say, Tait may be my favorite pirate yet! You MUST start with The Ever King, which is good since we don’t have an official release date yet for The Stolen Crown.
Yall are not ready for the person I will become once this book is released!!! Ari freakin Sekundar's cameo in this book is about to POP OFF. For reference I read the ever king series first, then jumped over to the broken kingdoms series. I just finished Reign of Stars and Fire. Let me tell you... Ari don't play about the people he loves, especially his wife and CHILD. And yes, I am foaming at the mouth for the love story between Tait and Mira (obviously), but the Ari scenes in this book are about to go so hard!!! " I thought Ari would always boast about his prowess as a man for finding fatherhood so swiftly, but I think his daughter's birth added a new kind of darkness to the king... In the daylight, his girl only believed she was the sun of her father's world. She was, but I (calista) was simply of the belief she'd also snapped a new level of violence in his soul. He would not only fight for his wife, now he would slaughter for his child." - Reign of Stars and Fire, pg. 391
I cannot wait to jump back into The Ever Seas series! The Ever King, The Ever Queen and The Mist Thief were all so good. You just know we are onto another winner here ✨❤️🔥
I know this story as her others will do justice to the characters! I don’t care how long I need to wait! I will be ready when she and these characters are!
LJ truly outdid herself with this one! If you know me, you know that The Ever Seas is my favorite series, particularly for Erik and Livia's story. I have gone on to devour everything LJ has written, and The Stolen Crown was no different and well worth the wait! This book will make you laugh and cry so much!
Mira is the sunshine princess of the glamour fae, always up for a good time, whether it's adventures with her friends or dancing the night away at a revel. Tait is the grumpy cousin of the Ever King, her best friend's husband, assigned to be her escort on the seas. Despite her secret attraction for him, Mira can't understand why Tait seems to regard her with such hatred, unaware of his own desire for her.
When they are lost at sea and separated from the rest of their crew, Mira and Tait slowly begin to open up to each other about their dark secrets and desires, for both each other and bloodshed, as they try to survive and get back to the Ever.
Slowly their disagreements turn to playful banter and teasing, with Mira easily being one of the funniest characters I have read. Much like her father, Mira has a goofy charm and wit to her. I found myself audibly laughing at her remarks.
Pieces of Tait's past and the brutality he suffered under his father have been revealed in past books in The Broken Kingdoms, When Fate is Cruel, and The Ever King, but here we truly learn just how evil Harald really was. I did not think he could get worse.
I can't talk about The Ever Seas without talking about Erik and Livia. Reading about Erik and Livia outside of their own perspectives is always so fun for me. Erik is forever putting on a surly front, but you can see how much he cares for people beyond just Livia.
As always, one of my favorite things about LJ's stories is her world building. She is always expanding her universe and introducing us to new peoples and folk.
All in all, this book was absolutely wonderful and everything LJ writes is absolute gold!!! In all her stories, she strives to tell such important stories and give voices to people who need it, whether it's anxiety, PTSD, body dysmorphia, or something else, she crafts such real stories through the world of fantasy.
The spice is spicing in this book. I will leave it at that.😏
I am starting this review with one thing first... I am petitioning that LJ Andrews Keeps writing these twisting of fates stories. This world needs her creative words and breathtaking books. If you are part of the LJ world, you know we have been patiently waiting for The Stolen Crown. As they say - Good things come to those who wait- And this store is Epic! Tait feels a sickness whenever he is touched. The absolute wretchedness of his past has him crawling in his skin at the thought of contact with someone else. But... there is her... Mira... He feels something different when she is around. He admires her annoying laugh. He sees her beauty. The feeling of her skin does not make him ill. Mira... she believes he hates her. He always looks her way in disgust. Why will he not dance with her? Why does she care? What is this pull? This story brings us to a world filled with want and need. With comfort and tragedy. Secrets will be revealed. Fates will be sealed. A sense of understanding will be met. Passion fills the air while the fates spin their web. Two souls will be forced to be alone. To survive. To channel their feelings and thoughts. Both stubborn in their own ways. Beautiful in each other’s eyes. A betrayal will bring them to a hidden island. Where they must escape or forever be lost. Does a new danger exist or are the fates starting a new web? A battle will begin... because this clan of different strengths and personalities fight to the death for those they love. This story will keep your heart beating and aching for these characters. You will see feelings erupt and truths be told. And when you think this story is over... prepare yourself for the Epilogue... It is time and I am ready for what this author has brewing. If you have never given LJ Andrews a chance... this is my plea to you being today. The mere thought of a reader missing out on these worlds saddens me. Whether you start with The Broken Kingdoms or The Ever Seas... know you will be hooked. Thank you @authorljandrews , @penguinrandomhouse and @netgalley for this early read. I fear that I may have read it too quickly and will need to read it again while I wait for LJ’s next creation.
4.5/5 I have been so excited to dive back in to The Ever Seas and let me tell you the long wait was worth it! I have loved Tait and Mira together since their very first interactions so I was very excited to finally read their story. As always with LJ Andrews the world and characters she creates are some of my all time favorites. And it's no different in The Stolen Crown. We follow Tait and Mira as they go missing after a mysterious storm causes them to shipwreck while traveling from Mira's home to visit Livia. When Tait and Mira find themselves lost and stuck together on an island in the Far Seas, where they can't communicate with their family, they must overcome their differences and work to get home. However, they quickly realize not everything is as it seems and they are soon exposed things they have never seen before
I thoroughly enjoyed this story! The chemistry between Mira and Tait was obvious from the start and I loved seeing their connection grow throughout the story. The buildup has been there from the start but when we really dive deep into the pasts of both Tait and Mira you can truly see why they are perfect for each other. Their story is extremely emotional but when the mental walls come down between them we see a new side of Tait and Mira that makes them relatable and makes the audience connect with them even more. The found family aspect of this world continues to be one of my favorite parts of these books. Every character protects one another and is ready to fight for each other and their loved ones. Now if you have read the Broken Kingdoms series, where some of these characters first make their appearance, then you will love seeing more of Ari. Of course Ari is just as funny but now you've got him as a proud and protective father who will do anything for Mira. I absolutely loved his interactions with Tait!
LJ continues to be one of my favorite authors! The Ever Seas is my most recommended book series and I truly need LJ to write more of this series forever. I only have good things to say so if you're looking for adventure, action, romance, found family, and so much more then this is the perfect series for you!
The Stolen Crown can be read as a standalone but I highly encourage readers to start with The Ever King to avoid any spoilers!
Thank you to LJ Andrews and Berkley for an advanced copy!

L.J. Andrews delivers a story filled with danger, atmosphere, and magnetic character dynamics, keeping readers completely invested from beginning to end.
What makes the novel especially compelling is the dynamic between Tait and Mira. When we left off in The Mist Thief - Jonas and Skadi were settling into their new lives when the received a missive - Tait and Mira have gone missing on their journey back to the Ever….
Tait Heartwalker, or Hearttalker, as Mira chooses to calls him, has been assigned to accompany the Princess as she visits her kingdom in the Southern Realms and stay until she’s ready to return to the Ever - much to his irritation. When the time comes it is clear this trip will be anything but what they expected. Overcome by a strange darkness and shipwrecked on a mysterious island, Tait and Mira will be forced to confront their truths, and each other, if they have any hope of rescuing the crew and getting home.
But the darkness is only the beginning of this tale where the demons of the past are the key to unlocking the future and children’s tales hold truths long since forgotten. It’s time to explore the Far Seas….
Join Tait, Mira, Livia, Erik, Jonas, Skadi, and all your Ever Seas and Broken Kingdom favorites as they once again prove there is little they won’t do for those they hold dear, including delving in to the blackest parts of their hearts.

I cannot express how happy I am to be back in The Ever Seas! I've been so excited for Tait and Mira's story! I love them both so much and I was so happy to finally read their story. As always LJ Andrews gave us a couple that has a ton of chemistry and an undying love for each other. LJ always writes characters who will do anything for the people they love and she does it perfectly.
LJ didn’t just give us an amazing love story though. She gave us all the found family and real family goodness we could ask for. I love how these books have so many overlapping characters and how they will always fight for each other. And if you've read The Broken Kingdoms series I can promise you that you will love reading Ari as Mira's dad. It's as funny and heartwarming as you expect 😂
We also got an expansion to the world in this book. Idk how LJ just keeps coming up with new creative additions to these books, but there's a whole new adventure to go on in this book and in future books. I'm already so excited for the next book and this one hasn't even officially released yet!
Hello Tait and Mira! How exciting that this book is so close to being out in the world after having to wait patiently for Roark and Lyra to have their moment.
I was so happy to be back in the world of the Ever Seas! I've been intrigued by Tait since we first met him in The Ever King and man oh man did his story get me in the feels 🥺 We knew he had it rough, but we never knew just how rough until he lets Mira in on his secrets.
Mira surprised me. I think her personality in TSC clashes with her personality in the previous Ever Seas books. While that may very well be the point, I feel like I couldn't connect with her as well as I have with the previous FMCs and as such, felt that the romance was a little awkward and bumpy too.
Overall I enjoyed this book and the cameos from other well-loved LJ characters, but I can't help feeling a little deflated because I wanted to love it more than I currently do. I potentially feel a little disconnected from this world because it's been a while since I set sail on the Ever Seas, which isn't the book's fault in the slightest. Who knows, perhaps after re-reading the Ever King duology and The Mist Thief I will re-read TSC and be completely besotted with it!
Many thanks to the team at Berkley and Netgalley for the ARC!
Did I finish this in a 24 hour period?! Why yes I fucking did!!
I’ve been waiting for this book’s release ever since I ARC read The Mist Thief (Book 3 of the series) and it was worth every second of the wait.
I love diving back into LJ’s world because the found family is incomparable to anything else. I adore all of the characters and their family relationships, and I squeal whenever characters from The Broken Kingdoms are on the page.
The angst, tension, and yearning between Tait and Mira had me reading until 4am because I didn’t dare put it down. I was hooked immediately and flew through this because it was just that good.
I loved the addition of a new colony of people in the far seas and the direction the story is taking for the next books. The battle scene was also epic as always.
This book was fantastic and if you love yearning, tension, and lots of angst, this is absolutely for you. Plus there’s sexy fae pirates so…
This was the easiest 5 stars I’ve ever rated and now I’ll be anxiously awaiting Sander’s book!
This was an absolutely beautiful addition to the ever seas series! I was so excited to be back with the Sekundar clan and Tait 🥹
This started off a little bit slow for me, but once i was hooked- i was HOOKED and i devoured it in less than 24 hours.
I loved the mental health and trauma rep that this book so beautifully displayed. It was so sad to read taits back story and learn more about why he is the way he is 😭
Mira is such a love. I just adore her character. I adored her parents characters as well in The Broken Kingdoms. Ari will always be my fave 🥹
The found family through these two series is almost unmatched. I am obsessed with all the little bread crumbs that link the broken Kingdoms and the ever seas. LJ has such a magical gift for writing and I absolutely adore this world!
This was a heavy and emotionally packed adventure with all our favorite Ever Seas characters and I am so excited for the next book! These books bring out so many emotions in me, and the stolen crown was no different. Absolutely wonderful read 😭
The Stolen Crown by L.J. Andrews was such a good book. One of my favorite things about L.J. Andrews’ writing is how seamlessly she weaves characters and stories from The Broken Kingdoms into these newer books, letting readers see how their lives and even more importantly to this series… their children’s lives and loves continue to unfold. It makes the world feel so rich, lived in, and connected.
Without giving any spoilers, this story is full of adventure, tension, emotion, and spice. Every relationship and plot point felt purposeful, and I was completely enthralled from beginning to end. There’s such a satisfying balance between action, heart, and character growth.
I’m so excited to see where this series goes next… I think we all know after that second epilogue 👀👀👀👀 L.J. Andrews is genuinely masterful with her writing, and this book reminded me exactly why I keep coming back to her worlds.
LJ Andrews has done it again!! Her ability to weave together complex characters, plot and romance flawlessly will never cease to delight me! She's taken a sunshine happy character in Mira and shown us that there is complexity and depth to what seemed like a "surface level" character. She's also taken Tait who just seems grumpy and closed off but showed even with his history of abuse the ability to grow to become who he wants to be. Great character development!! Their chemistry and the yearning between them just about killed me especially when on the island together. The plot was driving this story and I loved seeing the whole group come together again to protect each other. And I'm very excited for the next couple's story to unfold!
Devoured barely scratches the surface of how I consumed this book. Tait and Mira….. their story…. They can both just have my heart. I LOVED it!!!! And now I am ready to go back to the Ever! But after I travel back to the Broken Kingdoms because just like anytime I read a book by LJ Andrews I find myself unable to walk away even when I’ve turned the final page. I’m ready to experience their story all over again with every other tale fresh in my mind! If you haven’t stepped foot into this beautifully crafted world now is the time! The Stolen Crown releases in October! Plenty of time to meet four fated queens and tricky sea fae before getting lost finding how Tait and Mira’s story unfolds
Every time I read a new book from LJ Andrews, I swear there’s no way the next one will be better. And every single time, she proves me wrong.
Diving back into the Ever Seas in The Stolen Crown was a long awaited journey back amongst old friends. I devoured this book entirely. Mira and Tait’s story was perfect in so many ways and I loved every word of it. The banter, the heart wrenching moments, the spice! It was all absolutely incredible.
This series has been one of my favorites since the very first book and they honestly just get better with each installment. LJ Andrews is an absolute genius and her worlds are some I will never get tired of falling into.
As someone with an anxiety disorder I absolutely love seeing an FMC who also has anxiety 😭 i finished this story in one sitting I just couldn’t stop!
Mira gets stranded on an stange and unknown island with grumpy Tait, their banter was perfection the danger that lurked had me gripping my ereader in a dead grip and the romance I swooned so much 🫠🫠
I seriously need the next book abt Sander already or I think I wont survive without 😭 seriously give me more!
This was SO worth the wait!! Mira and Tait were perfection! Tait is so grumbly and sweet. I love how protective he is of everyone, especially Mira. Mira was such a fun mix of Ari and Saga, but also uniquely herself. I loved her character. Their story was great and I could not put it down! I can’t freaking wait for book 5!!!
I think my brain imploded once finishing this book. Magnificent, amazing, I hope we see more of them in book 5. LJ Andrews is always and forever going to be my favorite author and The Ever Seas will always be my favorite series. Thank you to LJ Andrews and Berkley Publishing Group | Ace for allowing me to ARC read.
5 Stars 3 Spicy
I have waited over a year for Mira and Tait's long awaited story- the 4th book in the Ever Seas. I have been drawn to them since I met them in The Ever King and then realized in the Ever Queen they would be a couple of fate. This book was absolutely breathtaking but different from the rest of the series. While I absolutely loved every page I thought it would surpass my love for the original duet since Miri and Tait have been my favorites. Overall I wish the book was about 100 pages longer and had a bit more action but that was just not their story to tell as LJ would say.
While there is still epic battles, over possessive MMC's and enough touch her and croak to fit right in with the rest of the books from The Ever Seas, The Stolen Crown had a much slower pace. Unlike previous books where the main focus was on winning battles to get your HEA, TSC was a mental battle of survival and past trauma. Where I assumed Mira's love to revel and spread sunshine would lead to explosive fights and heated declarations of love instead it is her quiet strength and patience that takes center. Watching Tait's walls crumble around her practically made my heart bleed. This book is full of soft moments and hesitant touches between Miri and Tait...as well as some smexy feral ones as well.
And no spoilers....but my favorite quote is where Mira finally explains where she came up with his nickname. SWOON!!!!!!!!
As always in the epilogue we get a pretty good set up on who the couple for the next book will be and I'm thrilled.
Tropes - Grumpy x sunshine - Touch her and croak - Possessive MMC - Forced proximity - Hurt / healing
