The Winter Hunter Demands His DueOn New Year's Eve, cellist Ariana Vance sought refuge in an abandoned alpine cabin to escape her fractured life. Instead, she awakened something far more dangerous. Her music—a haunting requiem for the dying year—summoned the Grand an ancient, exquisite monster who feeds on warmth to maintain his crumbling humanity.
The law is absolute. The barrier breaks on the final stroke of midnight, and what is found belongs to the Hunter. Ariana is now his tithe.
For twelve days, she is bound to the Hinterlands—a realm of swirling auroras, frozen forests, and creatures born from the void itself. Trapped in a castle of black stone with a king of winter who claims her as his anchor, Ariana discovers that survival requires more than defiance. The creature holding her captive is starving not for blood, but for proof that he remains something more than the monster the darkness has made him.
As the veil between their worlds grows perilously thin and paranormal forces circle closer, Ariana realizes that her captor's greatest weakness is also his most dangerous her. And when a paranormal court threatens to destroy what burns between them, she must choose between the freedom she was promised and the dark, possessive bond that's become her only salvation.
In a realm where monsters wear elegant faces and mercy comes with claws, the most devastating spell is the one binding them together.

I loved this book. It was a new idea, a new story, a little dark, but not too much, it was about choices that you can or can't live. 4,5 stars (I give 5, when I know for sure that I will reread the book.)
