I read this for a summer class.

I think it gave information in a good, organized way. I liked the chronology section at the beginning of a new time period; it helped give me an overview of what was to come as well as showed me how everything fit together.

This book was a bit odd because, while it's obvious the authors are writing from a Christian standpoint, they write as if they are unbiased and just happen to be focusing more on Christianity than any other religion. It was a slightly strange style that left me unsure of that authors' worldview for a little bit. Because the authors sort of "veiled" which worldview they were writing from, it made reading this book a bit more difficult because I struggled to figure out what context to put their information into.

This book isn’t going to win any multicultural awards but it first convinced me of the value of teaching European history with a strong emphasis on primary sources.
