Hounds of Hell #8

Securing Forgiveness

Rate this book
Petro Markova, youngest of the Markova Hellhounds, had spent years ensuring the estate was safe for everyone, from firewalls to actual security systems. Unfortunately, keeping his own heart and soul secure was something he wasn’t able to do. When the source of his heartbreak returns, Petro knows he can't live in fear at the compound and he sure as hell can't trust his mate.

Malfinn Lundberg seems to always greet Petro with his fist and has turned into a man that not only his brothers can’t recognize, but the angels who have known him for centuries. He has to be going feral, right? No one can come up with any other explanation for his erratic behavior, though the reason for his fixation with the youngest Markova sets the entire estate in an uproar.

But figuring out how to cure Mal is only half the battle. Who would blame Petro for being unable to get past his fear and go anywhere near Mal again… Let alone forgive him.

Needed more this time

**spoilers

While I was happy with the story, it ended wayyyy too soon. The mates, Mal and Petro, both hounds, didn't complete their mating bond, securing them as eternal mates. Only half of the ritual was done early on in the story to save Mal. I feel this was a very important piece to their HEA that was left out.

On a different note... I adore Arial!!! ☺

Rwally good

Really good heart throbbing story. More angst then danger of the demon variety but still such a good read. Am really enjoying this series and wanting more for the souls

This book started with a bang as the conflict between Petro and Malfinn exploded when they unexpectedly met again. The first time they met ended up with Malfinn hitting Petro and their being mates only makes it more difficult. Petro was only twenty years at the time and now he is hundreds of years old, but next to a thousand year old mate is doesn't mean much. The two are Hounds of Hell with litter mates who have no problems making their feelings known making things even more difficult. Malfinn's brothers realize that there is something wrong, but the only one who can help him is Petro, but can he overcome all the pain and distrust form their past. As their enemies get ever closer, everyone must work together if they will have a hope to protect the innocent souls from hall and save the world in the process.

his installment actually had me tearing up in places. I really felt bad for Petro. My heart bled for him. What is it with these hounds and their poor communication skills? Mal maybe the oldest and baddest, but he has Issues! That being said, I like how Petro stayed true to his mad. Too many books would have had him cave right away. I like that he didn't. I know my husband would have been in the doghouse a long time if he pulled what Mal did. Thank the Lord above for the Angels. Without them, these hounds would never have gotten with their mates!

With every book, another piece of the puzzle is added to the story. I like how it is like building something out of legos. With each piece, you can see what it is. With each new character highlighted you get to see what their role in the battle of good and evil will be.

Wow this is a super complicated mating. This couple have known abt eachother for over 200 years and in that time the divide between them has grown to an almost impossible distance. But the repeated mistakes and misunderstandings make for great reading. I'm hoping to expect a bunch more installments asap.

Another great story

Though I felt the very end of this one was a little rushed, good story. I start the next one in the morning and then get to wait for the next release.
All of this series is worth getting, please read in order to keep confusion at bay though.

Stories like this one, where you can't help but cry in parts of it, should come with a warning to not read while in public places like on the train.

I simply did not enjoy this one. I felt like there was too much so to speak.
