Always With You in New York was everything I wanted from the sequel.

One of the things I appreciated most was that Holly didn’t undo the beautiful romance she built in A Rewrite in New York. There was conflict throughout the story, but it wasn’t rooted in the relationship. Instead, it centered on the main character’s own journey, allowing the romance to remain a source of love, support, and stability. It was refreshing to read a sequel that trusted the strength of the relationship instead of creating unnecessary drama between the couple.

The writing was beautiful—emotional, heartfelt, and easy to get lost in. I loved watching the main character navigate her struggles with both vulnerability and strength. Her growth felt authentic and meaningful, making her someone I continued to root for from beginning to end.

This was a thoughtful, satisfying continuation of the first book, and I enjoyed every page. It’s a reminder that compelling stories don’t need relationship conflict to keep readers invested. Holly delivered a sequel that honored the foundation she built while allowing the characters to grow in believable and beautiful ways.

I am so happy that I was chosen to be an ARC for this book🥹 You know that feeling when you curl up on the couch with a weighted blanket, a pint of icecream & you turn on your favorite comfort show? That’s how I felt reading this series. I deeply resonate with Zoe, so seeing her development throughout the book made me feel so proud. Can you be proud of a fictional character? She notices such small details, holds onto them and finds a way to be inspired. I truly feel like I was there walking through the streets of NYC with Zoe.

Now let’s talk about Ben. Ben Ben Ben Ben Ben. I love this man. He makes small acts of love feel big. He’s gentle. He’s observant. He’s slightly crazy for saying I love you after 48 hours but he’s perfect.

I will absolutely be reading this again & I look forward to reading more novels by Holly!!

This was a great book! If you’re looking for a comfy, cozy romance, this is it! It’s like reading a Hallmark movie ! I love the way the author, Holly Lipovits, uses such beautiful descriptive words in her story that you can almost feel like you’re right there within the story!
I enjoyed sharing Zoe’s and Ben’s love story as it continued to grow and that Zoe learns to use her “voice” and gain confidence!

Reading this as an ARC, I went into this book expecting a city romance with every comfort feel commonly associated with that sub genre. Such a good read. I feel like adding the internal and external struggles of the main character, instead of focusing on a relationship conflict really added to the depth of the story. It also says a lot about the author and the thought she put into her book and characters. I feel put into the story and that’s not something I’ve come across with a lot of authors/stories. Definitely looking forward to this author in my rotation.

I like the calmness of this book. Yes the first one she found her HEA but this second one she claimed it. She became herself and claimed her voice. Even with her past trauma she had her safe person. Don’t we all want that?

I received an ARC copy of this book but I am voluntarily leaving this review and this review is wholly my own.

The first half of this book was a little slow for me. I felt like not much happened and it was very repetitive. The FMC went to work and did the same things and went home and did the same things. Some of the phrasing was repetitive like talking about things (people, buildings, the city, etc) exhaling felt pretty overused.

But for me the story really lived in the second half of the book. That’s where things picked up and I flew through reading it. I couldn’t wait to know how everything resolved itself.

There isn’t a ton of romance in this book. It’s really secondary. Yes there is a lot of interactions with her partner and how supportive he is but the story isn’t really about their relationship. It’s about what the FMC goes through and her journey to reclaim her narrative.

No spice unless you are sensitive to the act being mentioned and technically happening on page but with very little details around it. So maybe .5 🌶️ if you are someone who prefers nothing at all.

This was an ARC read.
This is a really cute love story about Zoe and Ben. I read it without reading the first one of the series and even though it made absolute sense, I still had the feeling I would enjoy it more thoroughly if I read book 1 first. To really understand what happened and how Zoe became the way she did.
On it's own it is a beautiful love story and it shows how, even when you are happy, you have to consciously put in an effort to maintain your relationship, communicate, give each other space and trust. And even when there is temptation from the other side, think ... this is not just in love, but at work too ... That grass is not always greener, not really. And the most important lesson I think: trust your gut, from day one, if something feels off, listen ... keep going, but be aware.

If you like a familiar, slow burn romance book, this one is for you.
Returning to a sweet, yet familiar setting, this book already had the scene set by the prequal.
Two years after the first book, we find Zoe and Ben back where they were. Comfortable, cozy and almost too normal.
When Zoe starts recieving letters from an anonymous person, she starts to waiver in her calm and confident life. Her allegance to Ben starts to waiver and she is torn between what she has and what she could have.

This book took me a little bit to get in to as I had not read the orginal book. However, once I got into the flow of the story I could appreciate how good this was!

Always With You in New York is a very touching romance novel. The characters felt so relatable and easy to connect with. I enjoyed Zoe's story and watching her grow throughout the story as she heals from her past and begins to trust her future. I really loved Ben and how he was always there offering his unwavering support to Zoe. This was a great read, and I can't wait to read more from Holly.

I really enjoyed this book, while there are romantic themes it is not a traditional love story about a couple, it’s about learning to love yourself and finding patience and bravery for yourself alone
