Alejandro's story has arrived!

There are only two single Diaz men left, and this time Alejandro is the one to find his soulmate. All the books in this series feature strong family ties, but Alejandro's story may have some of the strongest themes relating to family of them all. Throughout the challenges and danger that surround the male and female lead characters there are always supporting members around reminding readers that the Diaz family will always put family first, those through blood and business. There are many puzzles to solve from start to finish and chances are fans will not guess the answers to many of them until Ms. Barclay wants the answers revealed. As always there is plenty of passion and action from the start of the story and not a page goes by that there isn't something drawing readers deeper into this world, feeling like a member of the family standing on the sidelines waiting to see what will happen next. There is one member of the family left until all of the Diaz men have met their match, and as much as I look forward to the next book it will be bittersweet as it means an end to this heart pounding, suspenseful series that also has some of the most loyal and family oriented characters you will find. Even with all of the intensity delivered throughout the book there is no question it will fill fans with a sense of love and joy, even while experiencing extremely suspenseful and dangerous events.

I have read all of Barclay’s different but interconnected series of books almost from day one that they come out. Usually plow through them in hours. This one actually started out slower than her other books. I was not hooked like I usually am from page one. I think the first 25% of the book is spent reminding the reader the backstory of all of the other characters from her other books. Didn’t feel like I got to the meat of the story until 25% into the book. At one point was ready to set it aside. Then got past the first quarter and then the story ramped up and hooked me and it was fast paced after that.

The story still follows her normal plot rhythm of all of the other books but the plot on this one has a strong female main character that challenges the male character which was nice to see. Some of her past main characters seemed weak compared to this FMC. Definitely worth the read but be ready to rehash the plots of all of the other books in that first section. Stick with it as it was a great ending!.

Cartel Protector. It’s wild. Action-packed, vivid, and straight-up entertaining. The characters kept things interesting, the back and forth banter was top notch...and the family dynamics? That whole crew is something else. Then you throw in the sexxxay time, and you’ve got a book fans who like dark mafia romance will enjoy.

Seeing how hard the OG women ride for their men in this one was a fun switch. These ladies are not the ones to play with. They are not sitting around waiting for some man to save them. Nope. They step up, handle business, and make it real clear that if you mess with their men or their kids, you just signed up for a whole new set of problems.

By the time I finished this book, all I wanted to do was turn on John Wick. Unfortunately, my head was hurting terribly, so I took my behind to sleep instead.

Make no mistake, Cartel Protector is not a soft romance. This dat ride-or-die cartel love where loyalty runs deep and everybody ready to spin the block if you touch what’s theirs. And baby…people were definitely riding out in this one...including the grannies!

This is Alejandro's story. I was nervous about this one after the last two books & Lorenzo's book but talk about hitting it out of the park. Alejandro's soul mate has many identities & strengths one didn't expect. The author has managed to find and equal for Alejandro & in some aspects, stronger. There's unexpected ties to other members of the families which leads to interesting interactions. The cousins' banter was hilarious at times. This one was on par with Javier's book with unexpected twists, turns, interactions, and shocks. The one reason I didn't give it a five was due to the "toss it all in the pot and let everyone go at it." end with the cousins in Europe and the others in the states. It was difficult trying to remember who was who and supporting who in Europe but then toss in the others and the arc flow was lost. Other than that, it was a return to the author's ability to tell a story, find equals, while remembering it was about family. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Cartel Protector had me hooked right from the start with the sizzling electricity between the MMC and FMC! Although they have a chemistry that is on fire, they also show vulnerability and trust that doesn’t come easy in their worlds.

I love the force and strength the family shows, always having one another’s back, even though they are morally gray. I really enjoy revisiting not only the other members of the Diaz family, but the interweaving of characters from the Ivankov, Mancinelli and O’Rourke brotherhoods so we can still feel a connection to them.

If you are into a drool worthy Latino, lots of spice and action, this is another great book from Sabine Barclay! Can be read as a standalone as well.

Alejandro has travelled to his best friend’s bachelor party, there he meets Vittoria.
The fifth book in the Cartel Brotherhood & it was another page turner, fast paced – boy it didn’t let up! off the scale chemistry, intrigue, mystery & a bunch of women you certainly don’t want to mess with. I loved both Alejandro & Vittoria, both strong characters, both fall hard & fast but their relationship is tested from day one. Alejandro really does prove that he’s the Protector even though Vittoria is also protective of him. There are edge of the seat moments, there’s tenderness & there’s plenty of steam. There’s one man left standing! I can’t wait for his story & the finale not only of this sextet but the wider series too

What a page turner! I loved reading about Alejandro and Vita! Alejandro is definitely a protector. He will do just about anything to keep Vita safe. It didn’t start out that way though.

Alejandro and Vita meet from a friend of Alejandro’s-wait til you find out how and where. Vita has an agenda. Alejandro from the moment he meets Vita just feels something is off. They run into each other again when Vita needs help and he rescues her. From their it seems not only is someone after Alejandro-when he finds out, how will he react, but someone is after Vita-this is quite a shock. The chemistry between the two is definitely steamy. They get along so well. What will happened in the end? Will Alejandro and Vita be able to get through all the danger that lurks in the shadows? Can they live a life together are they doomed from the beginning because of secrets?

I love a good mafia romance & this one had me hooked from the beginning!! I loved the characters & their nicknames for each other. I enjoyed the BDSM aspect, although it wasn't as prevalent as I had expected.

The book was fast paced with good suspense, unexpected plot twists, lots of spicy scenes & a happily ever after!!

I loved Alejandro's family & how quickly they welcomed her in. I also liked how quickly the main characters knew they were it for each other.

This book is part of the Cartel Brotherhood & I look forward to reading more books by this author!!

Cartel Protector (Alejandro) by Celeste Barclay is an absolute page-turner! From the very first chapter, the story explodes with action and never lets up. The lead female character is simply magnificent—strong, smart, and truly integral to the story. She doesn’t just complement Alejandro; she stands shoulder to shoulder with him, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. The heat they generate practically scorches the page!

What makes this book even more compelling are the appearances from characters in the other series. Their inclusion adds depth and makes the world feel even richer and more connected. But what really sets this story apart for me is how the women shine throughout. They are bold, influential, and central to the plot in a way that elevates the entire book.

The action-packed pace, the searing romance, and the perfect happy ending combine to make Cartel Protector (Alejandro) my favorite entry so far. Celeste Barclay has delivered a thrilling, passionate, and unforgettable read that I can’t recommend enough!

This author delivers another incredible story in this series. It is a dark romance that's filled with actions, deception, and obsession. The tension is palpable it's almost as if you can feel it. I loved the secret identity in this and the cartel protector MMC was fire. This is an explosive read that hits the ground running. Once you start you won't want to stop. I devoured this book because it was that good. And the plot and storyline was well drawn out. This is a story that will pull you in fast and keep you captive till the very end. It is the perfect read for those that love dark mafia romance with fierce heroines, antiheroes, and danger that lurks. Thanks so much to the author for a copy of this. I loved the relationship between the two. And I also love in these books that there are no third act break ups.

I loved Vitoria, she was such a badass, and a perfect match for the little ghost that is Alejandro.

I have only read the bratva and cartel books in this series, and I really need to go back and read the mafia/mob ones as I get a tad confused with all the names. I think the author should put a map together or a family tree 😂

Another win for the cartel series. And I loved that I got to see more of Daddy Enrique and Elle, who are still my favourites 🥰

I’m sad this series is almost coming to an end.

OMG you all are going to love this suspenseful journey.
Who doesn't love a sexy hot Cartel man and a beautiful mercenary.
Alejandro and Vita are two very strong and fierce characters. These two are so hot together and the sparks are flying.
I enjoyed all the twists that kept me turning the pages.
I have to say this has been one of my favorites.
It's full of action, danger and through it all we get to witness these two fall deeply in love.
This story is very well written. I enjoyed all the characters. Very strong female characters that match the Cartel men. And I totally loved the ending.
Sabine does not disappoint.
I highly recommend this book and this series.
This is definitely a must read.

This book will have you turning pages faster than you think you can read because you will want to know what is going to happen next for Alejandro and his deadly heroine. I love how this author always provides the translation for the foreign languages after the sentence/s -saves me time looking it up. This book will show beloved characters from prior books so it does help to have read those beforehand but it’s not a dealbreaker as you could piece enough together to understand how all the players work together but it does help with the cohesive of this series. I enjoyed the banter, the cat and mouse games and so much more. This is a fantastic read if you enjoy cartel, mafia or other syndicate lifestyle books.

If you want a book that will keep you hooked from the very beginning this is the one. The twists and turns that keep you hooked make every new page and chapter an intense journey. The chemistry between these two is intense and full of heat as they both try to one up one another. The way Sabine writes these stories with so much depth, and feeling, and mystery that you don't know where you will end up by the end of the chapter. Be prepared to be shocked and sucked in as you just never know what kind of journey you will go on as soon as you open this book. It is worth every moment of angst, laughter you go through as you read!! This is a must read!!!

Back into the Cartel, we follow Alejandro who will meet Vittoria, who’s quite the troublemaker.

I love everything Sabine/Celeste writes, but this one was different for me. I had a hard time getting into it, maybe because Vittoria and Alejandro are both hell stubborn. I started to really enjoy the story way past the middle. I still gave it 4 stars because I love the world Sabine created, getting back with previous characters and the family’s way of interacting with each other. The mamas are my absolute favourite! Vittoria and her temper fit perfectly with them: Alejandro is in for quite a ride!.

I enjoyed this book. Sometimes as you get into a series the books start to blend together. Not for this one. In my opinion, this was the best so far. We get to meet and remember characters from other books, so make sure to have your family tree ready.
This couple makes sense to me. They are strongly written and I got a really clear sense of who they were both alone and as part of the couple.
Overall a good read with some good twists and turns. A good weekend read.

The Cartel Protector is an excellent next book in the series of The Cartel Brotherhood. The characters fit well with the rest of the series and there is a level of suspense that keeps the story fresh. The book is a fast read and eminently enjoyable. The story is well written and Ms Barclay does a fantastic job with the world that we are inhabiting. I highly recommend the book especially if you like hot guys and strong women.

It seems impossible, but each book is even better than the previous and this is another masterpiece. The great things about this series are the non stop action, the intricate plots, and the extremely well written FMCs. When you reach the end of the book and think back over everything that happened in the book, it is hard to believe that much story was in one book. The FMCs are incredible. All of them are strong and accomplished while also being likeable. I would not want to cross any of them but I definitely want them by my side when things go down.

Omg I swear each book in this series gets better. I love the chemistry between Alejandro and Vittoria. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat, I feel like every time I thought I had it figured it out I was wrong. The story line really drags you in. This book keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. If you love some action mixed with a love story this is Most definitely the book for you. I can't wait for the next book to this series. I am a fan of this author and have read all of her books. The characters in Cartel Protector started out much differently than all of the others and I wasn't sure what to expect. I shouldn't have doubted this talented author because as I continued to read, the characters drew me in and I couldn't wait to find out how their seemingly unsurmountable issues were resolved. Alejandro and Vittoria are equally strong characters that are perfect for each other. And just when you think these stories can't get any better, Barclay amazes you with another outstanding book.

Alejandro. Do I really need to say more? Seriously, I love each MMC more than the last, but I think he is my favorite and always will be. There's action, suspense, mystery, humor, sexy steamy romance. And heart. A lot of heart. This is an author who never disappoints. And while I'm looking forward to the final book, I know I'm going to cry because I hate saying goodbye to the syndicates series. These books live rent free in the readers minds and hearts.

The characters were very complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

I read this book as an ARC reader, and overall I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed the main characters and the storyline. However, I didn’t connect with it as much as I usually do with mafia romances, though that may be because I hadn’t read the previous books in the series.

I understand the need to explain the world and introductions of the different families, but with so many characters and crime groups, it was sometimes hard to keep them all straight, which pulled me out of the story at times.

Cartel Protector is the fifth story in The Cartel Brotherhood. It is well-written and is Alejandro's story.

Alejandro has gone to his best friend's bachelor party. He meets Vittoria. He sees her again when she needs help and he agrees to help her. These two are so good together.

I loved how strong Vittoria was. I loved the chemistry between her and Alejandro. Their story is filled with suspense. You won't be able to put it down. I look forward to more from this talented author.

HOT DAMN! This book had me in a chokehold! To say that I am OBSESSED is an understatement. I struggled to put it down to get things done around my house. This is one of those books that gets you out of a reading slump. The characters, the drama, the twist and turns all of it makes you not want to put it down. The spice had me sweating🥵🥵! If you are looking for a mafia romance that has spice and plot😉 this is the book for you! I can’t recommend this enough

"Cartel Protector" is the fifth book in the Cartel Brotherhood by Sabine Barclay. It is another fantastic story. The characters: the chemistry, the banter, the heat are everything I have come to love in this world the author has created. The story had me on the edge of my seat and the pages practically turning themselves. There is suspense, mystery and intrigue and of course family!!! I can not wait for what comes next from this author.

I love the Diaz Cartel series I love the men they protective of their family, and their woman. I love Alejandro who's all powerful, dangerous, and in perfect control, but now he's attracted to and found a strong woman who knows how to stand up to them and give him on his toes. I enjoy Sabine’s writing. I feel connected to the characters, and feel like I am a part of the story. It is a mafia storyline, so there are mafia wars, but the MMC and FMC are developed in a way that neither character development is the main character. They are developed individually and together and weave the story. Great read.
