Some mob boss wanted it all and did anything to take out the top three mob bosses. Everything they did to fool Mick and take him down failed. They even used Bella Caine. I'm just sick of her injecting herself in Mick and Roz's life. I don' t Roz her for keeping Mick accountable for what he does. But she loves him to her own detriment. Mick would be lost without her. She is his balm and I would hate to see what he would be like without her in his life. She had his back even after she found out about Dory. It took her a minute to get over it. In the end, Monk did for Mick what Mick did for Alex Dracos, because Mick would always be tied to Bella through Gloria.
This was a rollercoaster ride of a who done it that came full circle.
A great title for this book because I loved it and hated it! Mick and Roz’s story is a contradiction to everything you hate in a committed relationship but you root for them always. And I hate his relationship with Bella Caine, ex-wife extraordinaire and baby mama. She pops up to create havoc again in this book with stuff to keep Mick riding to her rescue like sick puppy love. Mick’s hair trigger temper gets the whole family of Sinatras and Gabrinis in trouble all behind her crazy behind. Sometimes I think Roz needs to leave him but then it wouldn’t be the same. Another great story that I loved to hate.
Always a one click for me each month. I'm invested in the Sinatras and Gabrinis. Mick and Roz have issues but their love keeps them together. Mick is complicated and a handful that met his match with Roz. But he takes her to her limits constantly. Mallory always has so many red herrings in her stories that keep you on your toes. I had figured out part of it before the big reveal!!!!!
Bella is a constant problem that Mick really needs to straighten out. I want Roz and Bella to have one of those Dynasty catfights!
Surprise!!! Roz and Mick are experiencing their one-millionth disconnect in their personal relationship. Mick still holds his business and emotions too close to his vest. Roz is still feeling that estrangement with Mick, along with the constant uncertainty in her profession as an actress.
In one scene Roz wonders to herself if Mick “gives a damn about her” at all. Of course, he does—he’s just stupendously lousy at showing it—by this time Roz should know that she is either going to accept who Mick is and deal or move on. But if she can’t decide, I’m gonna have to move on as a reader.
There’s a nasty car crash involving Teddy in the beginning of the book, one of their tankers goes missing, and then Deuce, (Mick’s former driver and only friend), drops by Mick’s offices to tell him that Bella Caine contacted him about her son Dorian (Dory) in Rome. Dory has been badly injured in a gang war. Mick has to drop everything and go to Rome, where more drama ensues. Most of the Sinatra/Gabrini clan appear in this novel.
Mick “the Tick” Sinatra is my most favorite character out of all those created by this author. I don’t like to give bad reviews however I was surprised that I found my interest waning prior to the midpoint of the book.
Ms. Monroe must have a template where she probably has an assistant change some names, minimally tweak the drama, etc., and then mass produce the end result. On top of that, no one must proofread these books because the same kind of errors still persist.
I’m also tired of Bella Caine and I’d like to see her permanently disappeared. Give Roz some drama outside of her acting and Mick; give her a different job or no job. Give her interesting friends—maybe a “ride or die” chick who gets them in hot water. Give Mick some formidable competition in the underworld; make him genuinely scared and for good reason. Give him a goofy friend for comic relief.
Remember when Roz saved Mick in that van after he was shot? Remember when she took the kids and left Mick, and he found her? Remember when Roz had that fellow acting friend who really wasn’t her friend? Inject some new life into this series because it’s stale, and I hate to see my favorite characters go down the path of mediocrity.
An Ms Monroe has done it again, she delivers every time, like a well aged whisky just excellent. Love this family saga, Nick still my number one book boyfriend 😍
Now let me be clear, I'm a stone cold fan of Mallory Monroe. I have read many books of hers, and the whole series Mick Sinatra.
I love some Mick Sinatra, he is without a doubt one of my favorite 😍 mafia/business mogul character ever. I will always read Mick Sinatra.
Now the but. Sorry not sorry.
I'm so disappointed in Roz.
It's like serving this intelligent, gorgeous black woman. A elegant, cultured meal on fine china, golden utensils. A large juicy piece of shit 💩 and she eats and washes it down with a fabulous crystal flute of Veuve Clicquot.
I mean I know it's presented to you in a fabulous display but it's still shit 💩. When is enough, enough?? I was hoping for a different ending, it's always the same. I'm so sick of her and eating 🥣 💩.
Alright 👍🏾 I'm done ✅ I didn't want to spoil the story for others but I had to be honest about what I thought.
I like Mick and Roz but...Monk and Ashley, there is just something about them that draws ne in. Mick was so busy trying to make amends for his failure as a father in the relationships of his children; mainly Adrian and Joey, that he was not thinking with his head, but his heart. This caused him to not think things to with clarity and see through the b.s. being served to him. Thus he acted recklessly and with cruel vengeance; despite Teddy trying to rein him in to give Monk the well deserved benefit of the doubt. What is admire about Monk is how he has no problem stepping to Charles and/or Mick. He respects them, but, he will call them on their mistreatment of Ashley ...and I enjoyed how he showed Mick and..the Gabrini family too😄...that The Monk does not turn the other cheek! Back to Mick, this story underlined how much, Mick needs Joey back - that relationship brought out such emotion in Mick. Joey was the son that people outside and even family members always felt was not as strong as Mick's relationship with Gloria and Teddy....Mick even shows favoritism to their mothers...🤔although, I can understand why Mick didn't care for Joey's mother-- which begs the question- why did he ever have a relationship with her? And, is Roz ok? She seems to be going through an emotional roller-coaster in her feelings for Mick - he definitely is a hard man to love - pulling a romantic, open loving communication out of him is not a walk in the park...but, he has his brief moments...And its very enjoyable when it occurs...of course the reaction of the Gabrini especially humorous! Lol But anyway, I'm beginning to wonder if Roz possibly has a medical issue affecting her emotional ups and downs. I'm hoping the next story is Monk and Ashley.
Can you please figure out a way to give them some peace from hos baby momas he is doing too much. Get them married off . and poor Gloria what's that about. I love Mick and roz . you got so many families in this series that's in need of a break thorough I. Their personal life. They all need your help and I being a faithful reader will purchase everyone. Good read keep it up
Lesson One: Don’t play with Mick or what belongs to Mick. This is a lesson that you will die learning. Reading about how Mick will shut down the foolishness is always a page turner. However the sub story is redundant: Ros threatening to leave, Mick is assumed to be cheating, Teddy and Nick are being undermined by Mick, and someone else is willing to treat Ros better than Mick.
Being part of the Sinatra clan is always full tough choices, hardships, laughter, and even love. One can only hope that family ties can be that strong even in its dysfunction. This is a good one. Mallory loved every minute of it if you haven’t read about Sinatra‘s, Gambini’s, Paletti’s or Draco’s, then you’re in for a real treat. Can’t wait for the next one.
Mallory Monroe has done it again! I always love the way that the entire family supports each other especially in times of trouble! That Bella Caine needs to go! She is always causing trouble for Mick and Roz. I know that she is kept "alive" because she brings drama to the storylines but there are times that I wish that she would leave Mick alone! It was a great story!
Mick, Mick, Mick you the man. Keep them coming Ms,
Mick is too hard on himself. He hides his insecurities well. He feels deeply and his ways stem from his childhood. If nothing else he loves his wife Roz and will do anything for her. To loose her would be the end of him. I love their chemistry. Always make for a good READ! Keep them coming!
I really enjoyed this book! Girl you did it again, as I always say! I cried, I laughed, my favorites are in this order, Mick, Roz, Sal, Gemma, Reno, and Trina! It lifts you up bring you down! Great writing! I always keep an eye out for the next book!
Its bee a long time since the Sinatra/Gabrini family has had someone attempt to take them down but, I will admit they are getting craftier and upping the anty seriously....waiting for more
This book had me captivated from start to finish. I was baffled by what was going on and who Mick needed to go after for messing with his family. It’s always a good time when all the families come together.
I really enjoy this book. I just love Roz- SHe is such a tough woman - she does not take crap from anyone includIng Mick So much suspense Awesome writing Ms Munroe Looking forward to 2026 I highly recommend this book
Fox and Mick, my forever couple. Finally he got it right. Their love will forever last. This story was so emotional and shocking at times. But so worth it.
