Two outcasts in the world. One is completely insane, while the other is a cold-blooded killer. Some days it’s impossible to know which is which.

By day, Atticus is CEO of a major tech company. At night, he enjoys a darker lifestyle. His life is filled with secrets. Every space is his playground. The doors his money and looks won’t open are thrown wide for his twisted reputation. While Atticus can’t claim he has gotten everything he ever wanted, he fully intends to own Foster.

Despite Foster being part of an organization of hired killers, he leans toward a quiet life. His position with Killers Inc. doesn’t require working closely with anyone. Maybe that’s why he’s never fit in, even with his so-called family. His loner status is more likely due to him not trying to connect. Now there’s this guy who won’t stop pestering him. Foster might have to kill his annoying ass. That is, if he can stop watching him.

Watcher is the seventh book in Charity Parkerson’s Killers Inc. series, where hired assassins and their ilk find the love that finally saves them. These are best enjoyed when read in order.

Atticus is a brilliant but unhinged tech CEO who hides a dark, chaotic nightlife behind his polished image, and he’s decided he wants Foster. Foster, a quiet, solitary assassin with Killers Inc., prefers to stay invisible — but Atticus keeps pushing into his world, irritating him, tempting him, and getting under his skin. Two dangerous outcasts circling each other, one chaotic and one cold, and it’s getting harder to tell which one is the real threat.

I loved this story about two men who are damaged in their own ways yet absolutely perfect for each other. The passion between them is intense, even as they navigate constant danger and drama. What really stood out was watching them learn to communicate, to trust, and to compromise when it mattered — their emotions and reactions felt so real that it was easy to understand and feel everything right along with them. A dark, dramatic, deeply emotional romance with two unforgettable characters who fit together in all the ways that count. This was an MM story with mature content.
