If you've read all of the Increment series so far, you will wan to grab this one!! If you haven't read any of this military romance then I would recommend you start with 'Songbird', book 1.
Another fantastic instalment to the series, full of love, tension, action, secrets & intrigue. We are back with the main characters Angus & Billie, but this time we have literally all the other members of the cast featuring either as cameos or within the pivotal plot threads, which was fab to see them all interacting together again like they did in 'Songbird'.
This book kicks off straight from the ending of Expectant - Part 1, so it drops you directly into the action & it doesn't relent! it's fast paced & you will find yourself devouring the pages. I've found there has been a a great overlapping story arc throughout all the books & this one definitely enhanced & moves the storyline forward. The growth on many of the characters in this book was fabulous giving more backstory & history to some, whilst others it fleshed out more of their current storyline, giving the book / series more texture & emotional depth to the narrative.
It has fantabulous tension building throughout, with a lot of twist & turns. With new locations came excellent descriptive narration - You really get the feeling the author is getting into their stride in writing Expectant 1 & 2. & OMG! I think it is becoming a trend in this series, but that ending!!!!
Overall, a fab book / addition to the series, with everything you want & expect from this series - 100% recommend.
