It was ok. Some interesting ideas that resonated with me, but I think I'm getting tired of books riding the "I'll tell you what The Secret really means" wave.

Overall, a good book if you seek one of many explanations of why the Law of Attraction isn't working for you or why, when it DOES, it doesn't turn out the way you want it. Then the book proceeds to tell you how ACTUALLY it's supposed to be done (yeah, another "right" way) by following different steps such as meditation, visualisation, etc.

My opinion: I'm tired of STEPS.

Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty good book, and it can be quite motivating, inspiring as well as soothing. But I find that the more information I seek the more I confuse myself. For me, personally , the law is supposed to be an emotion or a feeling, a certainty that you've already gotten what you want and you're feeling extremely happy about it. You have to put yourself in that situation, which is not always easy as we develop more blocks in some areas in our lives that are difficult to overcome.
That's all. Act as if you have it. Imagine you've just received the news and feel the joy! Nothing more.
What about "why" it doesn't work? This is where the book shines the most and like I said, it's not a bad book. And although I agree to a certain extent with the explanation of "your higher self doesn't believe you're ready" or "you're never meant to have it anyways", my personal opinion is that ...you're not asking for the right thing. And by "you" I also include myself. Instead of asking for the "thing", ask for the "emotion". You can attach your vision to the emotion, but don't make the same mistake I usually make when it comes to the most difficult areas in my life - I tended to imagine myself receiving this thing, but not the feeling of having it for a long time. Therefore very specific things would come to me, but then will quickly disappear. Ok, I'm babbling now.

As a summary of my personal rules: 1. feel the joy of having it already, 2. think really hard what you're asking for. You can attract a million dollars, but they can disappear quickly; you can attract a perfect boyfriend from your checklist, but he might make you feel miserable. Think of the lifestyle instead and feel extreme gratefulness for it. 3. Then let it go and focus on the positive things in your current life (can be harder for some than for others, but good luck)

As a summary about the book - it's an ok book. Hope you enjoy it!

Honestly, I expected more from this book...I didn't really like "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne so I was really hopping this book will help me understand why I was so suspicious about some (not all) things Rhonda was writing about. Yet...this book left so many unanswered questions! There are some things I certainly agree with..but, generally I was hoping for more explanations. Will re-read the book again..in case I was missing something.

It's interesting and empowering but repetitive to the point that I was exhausted of trying to read it.

I like the phrase she used for Ego which is 'See Me Game'... also the function of mind is to be still and to create... it gave me a place to find to see within.

Only listened to about half of this. Think I'll just reread the original secret book. This just wasn't doing anything for me.

Lisa has done an amazing job at capturing a popular phenomenon of manifestation and has gone beyond the hype of attracting wealth and fortune to bring about consciousness along with the desired manifestations using a 2-stage process to get in touch with spirit and then secondly, to listen to spirit. Next step is to then align thoughts according to this ethereal insight. A step above the rest, "Beyond the Secret" has the potential to re-direct manifestation to a whole new level and empower each and every human being with their divine right to their truest desires for their life.
