Why Did Jesus Have to Die? by The Daily Grace Co.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This nonfiction book walks through 21 questions surrounding Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. Some of the questions may seem foundational at first glance - especially if you’ve been a Christian for a while - but don’t let that fool you. The depth of Scripture, theological richness, and thoughtful explanations behind each answer make this so much more than a “basic” overview 👏
One of my favorite things about this book is the unique format. Each chapter begins with a question and a short, clear answer on a single page, along with all the Scripture references. Then you get several pages unpacking that answer in greater depth, followed by practical application for your own faith and daily walk. It makes the book incredibly approachable while still being deeply reflective. 🙌
What I especially appreciated was that it challenged some of my own assumptions - in the best way!! It didn’t just reaffirm what I already knew; it prompted me to think more deeply and ask better questions about Jesus’ sacrifice and what it truly means. 💕I also loved that for certain topics, the authors presented multiple theological viewpoints. They weren’t afraid to acknowledge different perspectives within Christianity, which made the reading experience feel balanced and thoughtful rather than one-dimensional. 👏
My absolute favorite section were the chapters on Jesus’ ascension. There is so much hope wrapped up in the ascension - the promise that He will return in the same way He went, and the beautiful truth that the resurrected, perfected body of Christ is alive and reigning even NOW!! Sitting with that reality left me in awe. It’s such a powerful reminder of the hope we carry as believers. 🥹❤️
On top of the rich content, the book itself is beautifully designed. The charts and graphics were genuinely helpful, and the artwork throughout made the experience feel even more intentional and special!
This would be such a meaningful read during Lent or in the weeks leading up to Easter, but truly it’s a book you could return to at any time to prepare your heart and deepen your understanding of the gospel. ❤️
Highly recommend if you’re looking for something theologically grounded, visually beautiful, and spiritually stirring!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you Daily Grace Co for sending me a complimentary copy of this to read! I loved it. I took my time with this one and it was very in depth, bringing lots of questions we have to the table. It also explained some of the other points of view people have and brought us back to scripture to explain the truth where possible. My favorite parts were on the Jesus Ascension portion. It was filled with the hope of Christ.
Highly recommend for anyone needing something theologically rich, especially around Lent season as we celebrate the Lord.
