Bianca has been through many trials and tribulations in her life and when she discovers she's been lied to her whole life that sends her over the edge. I must say I didn't like her at all for more than half of the book. I thought she was ungrateful, selfish and cruel.
I thought Alessandro feeded off her anger and darkness at times even at the detriment of Matteo. I did like the fact he stood by her no matter what was going on and eventually helps her see what's really important in her life.
It's an action packed dark, dangerous, intense, captivating, emotional rollercoaster ride that will have you on the edge of your seat anxiously waiting to see what happens next.

January 28, 2026I loved it. This book was so emotionally complex with a Bianca 19 yo mafia princess struggling with the sudden revelation that everything she thought she knew about her life, her parentage and her identity was built on lies from the ppl she loved the most. This shatters her world, her self awareness and her belief in the family love she’d always been wrapped in. Furious and hurt she lashes out and systematically destroys the family relationships she loves with those who lied to her and embraces the darkness she always felt inside now aware of where it truly comes from. Then the allied ruling mafia families decide she needs to prove she is fit to lead when the father who raised her is gone since she’s his heir which leads to a very complicated bunch of events and tests designed to break her. So she must not only embrace her dark side but evolve into something new while navigating intense rage and bitterness at being lied to her entire life, being a college student, dealing with emotional upheaval around disturbing truths revealed, and a mafia family that will stop at nothing to get rid of her permanently. Meanwhile the 35 yo Alessandro who is her fathers trusted ally has had feelings for her since she was 16 but knows it’s inappropriate and impossible becomes the only one she will listen to because he tells her the truth without sugarcoating things and she likes him too. They end up partners working together thru the events and tests where Alessandro is fascinated by what she is becoming because he sees someone who matches the darkness he feels in himself which causes issues between him and her dad Matteo who raised her and loves her like his own.
Character development is off the charts, world building is amazing, plot twists and concept fantastic, intriguing, exciting and thrilling. This story will grip u page after page because so much plot happens that’s interwoven seamlessly with the emotional angst Bianca is experiencing plus the emotions of all the other characters simultaneously.
Prob one of the best books I’ve read by this author.

In the continuing story of the DeLuca mob family with Matteo DeLuca is Don and his daughter Bianca is heir to the family. Then their whole world explodes when a secret kept for 19 years is leaked to the press. Matteo is actually Bianca’s brother thanks to his father’s actions against Sofia. Matteo married Sofia and raised her child as his own but Sofia couldn’t stand living in the same house as her abuser so she was turns to a member of another family (Calabrese) and together they meet with federal agents to try to destroy the DeLuca’s, which ends both their lives. Dominic Calabrese has been waiting for his time to get revenge. Now he’s insisting Bianca prove her ability to run a family in a series of 4 trials. Alessandro Ricci is head of another family and close with Matteo DeLuca (who helped him establish his position). Alessandro offers to be Bianca’s partner/supervisor in the trials. He has been in love with her for a while but this situation finally brought them together. Matteo will definitely have a problem with his 35yrs to Bianca's 19. The trails are Calabrese’s way of getting his revenge his plan to end the DeLuca’s. There is plenty of violence, heat, danger to keep your heart pounding plus love, laughter, forgiveness and healing to balance it out.

Now this was something else! I appreciate the way I got invested in the story and so quickly. This is something I find with all of her books. This book was long and detailed and had interesting characters. These two are a wonderful pairing and are two people I like all on their own. I loved their chemistry and it's a good thing that she had this man by her side because things got twisty.
As family business secrets are exposed, so are some hurtful personal family secrets.
The plot was so good. I loved their connection and she had the right man by her side to deal with the fallout from all these secrets. And one in particular changes her whole perspective on who she is. From her journey in this book she matures and he is there with her. The twist...my goodness. That is a big one and it's something hard to take. A side note, some people don't want to read spoilers so please note that what you're about to say is a spoiler. This was exciting and pulled me right into the story and it never let up steam! And the HEA? So worth it. This was a great read and a fantastic addition to this world!

Everything Happened for a Reason -
OMFG! I really love a good mafia romance story, but this one had a twist, that took the story to another level. This captivating romance story is a masterclass in power play and digs deep into the desire, control and emotional challenging moments of the characters. The exciting storyline was filled with hot passion, volatile emotion, drama, intrigue, danger, complex family dynamics and mafia manoeuvres, that made it difficult to put down, once I started reading the book.
I can say without a shadow of doubt, that is not just a straight forward romance story, as it details how the characters lives took a dangerous turn after the revelation of a family secret and they had to not only fend off near fatal attacks on their lives and businesses, but also navigate the change in the family dynamics, as well as heal from the trauma inflicted by the secret. Alessandro and Bianca’s road to happily ever after may have been bumpy, but it made their relationship real and stronger. I highly recommend you grab a copy of this book now.

I can say without a shadow of doubt, that is not just a straight forward romance story, as it details how the characters lives took a dangerous turn after the revelation of a family secret and they had to not only fend off near fatal attacks on their lives and businesses, but also navigate the change in the family dynamics, as well as heal from the trauma inflicted by the secret. Alessandro and Bianca’s road to happily ever after may have been bumpy, but it made their relationship real and stronger. I highly recommend you grab a copy of this book now.

Secrets!
There is bad secrets and good secrets in this story,a very big bad secret that almost destroyed a family.When I first started to read this story I enjoyed it until the part where Bianca fines out that her father is actually her half brother and the way Bianca carried on like she was a nineteen spoil brat,I get it now why she was so angry and hurt and so I didn't give up and read on and it got better and better has I went on.It seem that the more hate and hurt that Bianca was going thru made her stronger and more confident in herself.Thank god that Alessandro was there to help where necessary. But it took almost war and near death for Bianca to understand what Matteo went thru and why to decide to become her father and not to be her brother,it made the bond stronger between daughter-father/step brother.

This is the fourth book in the Bonds of Betrayal series and in this story, we are introduced to Bianca and Alessandro. The story starts out relatively stress and angst free until a secret is revealed and things take a dramatic turn. The book takes the reader on a harrowing journey of secrets, lies, obsession, and redemption. The chemistry between the two MCs were thick enough to cut with a knife and the characters in general were layered and nuanced. The writing was great with excellent pacing that made the story captivating throughout. The spice was out of this world and the ending, very satisfying. Overall, this one was a great read and I would recommend it.

When I started this story. I found I couldn't like yhe main female character. Bianca came across as a spoiled brat, forgoing all she grew up with because her life wasn't exactly as she thought, but I wanted to see what happened. As the story went along, her life takes another twist and she realizes what is important and becomes a more likeable character.
Alessandro is a caring, yet strong mafia man. This story of their attraction and the trials they face together flows nicely with the steam and action expected in a mafia love story.

Ignited Secrets by Ajme Williams is the story of Alessandro and Bianca. She is being groomed to take over the family from her father, who is helping her tremendously. Alessandro is her father’s right-hand man. When threats come from among other families, things need to be proven before anything can take place.
This story was fast-paced and filled with danger, disasters, betrayal, and mental stress. I enjoyed watching her as she grows. But, I honestly didn’t care for her character. Alessandro is wonderful. Excellent, edge-of-your-seat intrigue…and plenty of battles…not to mention tons of romance!! Good story!

If you have read the series in order, you know the truth about Bianca’s parentage. Giuseppe was a monster, Matteo raised her as his own to protect her. She wants nothing to do with Matteo, his wife and children when she finds out. Alessandro, has had a crush on Bianca since she was sixteen and is determined to be by her side. This is book 4 in Williams' the Bonds of Betrayal series and a great addition to the series that can be read as a standalone. This book follows the journey of main characters Bianca Deluca and Alessandro Ricci. A well written and well balanced, deliciously dark, mafia romance read with danger, twists and of course some steamy chemistry. A great read that has me eager for more from Williams!

I've read a lot of books written by Ajme Williams; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
