I have recently pulled out my quilting books to look with awe at the beautiful quilts that have been made over the past 100 years ago to the present. If there is a hobby that I would have liked to learn, it would have been quilting. I have quilting friends and used to go to quilting shows. When traveling, I would find quilting museums. I used to get a quilting magazine. I especially admire those quilts that look like a landscape picture. Well, this book is a good introduction to quilting. Each quilt has a story behind it. The story may be about the type of quilt and also about the quilt maker and what influenced the quilt maker. As a knitter, crocheter, cross stitcher, embroiderer, and needlepointer, I dearly love and appreciate the time and effort used into making beautiful quilts.
