Pack Baby for the Billionaires: A Cozy, Billionaire, Reverse Harem Omegaverse Romance

Rate this book
Three powerful alphas. One omega who just signed an iron-clad contract to carry their heir.

Hastings, Fritz, and Etienne were billionaire alphas who didn't do romance. They didn't want a mate, and they certainly didn't want a "happily ever after." They only wanted a legacy, and they had the funds to get exactly what they desired. All they needed was the perfect omega to answer their advert.

I was far from a billionaire. I was just Presley. A girl living in a cramped caravan, working in a café, and the only thing I wanted in life was a cat—one that didn't leave dead mice on my pillow. I wanted a cozy place to call home, and when I saw their advert for a surrogate, it felt like my only way out.

The terms were

The baby would be conceived naturally.I would live with them for the duration of the pregnancy.I'd be compensated handsomely—five thousand pounds a week.Zero emotional attachment.When it was over, I'd walk away.I thought it would be easy to be their surrogate. I told myself I was prepared for the heat, the knots, and the commanding nature of three alphas who saw me as nothing more than a means to an end.

But the moment my heat hit, something shifted. Something impossible.

My scent called to them in ways that shouldn't be possible. Their biology responded to mine like a lock finding its key.

And now I'm caught between the pack who never wanted love and the quiet life I've always dreamed of.

Pack Baby for the Billionaires is a cozy but spicy why-choose omegaverse romance with:

* Three billionaire alphas who fall one by one (and hard)
* Rags-to-riches omega with a heart of gold
* Surrogate pregnancy with a fated twist
* Found family
* Heats/knots/spicy scenes
* Based in the UK
* Forced proximity
* Grumpy cat who steals every scene
* HEA guaranteed

I didn’t really want to leave a review but it kind of feels wrong not to. I’m just going to say it, Maeve is a trash friend who constantly projected her issues onto Presley and Presley was too naive to understand that Maeve wasn’t a good friend and really didn’t have her best interest at heart. I hated the addition of Maeve’s character in Presley’s story. If she was more in the background and not so negative, maybe I would have enjoyed the book more than I did. Her storyline seemed front and center throughout the book and she wasn’t the FMC.

While the spice was nice during it, there’s not many scenes. I counted 4, with the heat combined.

So many of the issues stemmed from Maeve’s influence and being a buzz in Presley’s ear. Sure, she was cool to recommend the newspaper ad, but that’s all that really went for her.

I wish we got more time with the MMC’s, instead of Presley running around and on page time with Maeve.

Tropes:
Omegaverse
MFMM
Surrogate FMC
Billionaire
Rags to Riches
Inexperienced FMC

disappointed

I have loved so many of this authors books and I was excited about this one. It had so much potential with an author to back it up but it read like a neglected project. There are parts that draw you in and are very cohesive but then an inconsistency in the timeline will pull you out. That was one of the biggest issues. So it takes two hours to get a helicopter to one place as was said but then the person who was told to be ready in the said two hours shows up at the final destination two hours later. Several days have passed although the author made it seem like only two possibly three but it turns out to be a whole week. Then it jumps from October to February in the story but there is no way that is true according to the established timeline. There is also the FMCs bff and her completely different personalities within the story. It seems like the author was writing a standalone but got inspired and just kept writing instead of going back to change that character and the way they are and react to for the next book. The story is also rushed and doesn’t show much character development or growth especially within the pack. There are many more issues but I feel like I have pointed out the most obvious.

"Because she makes me laugh. Because she looks at me like I'm a person, not a bank account. Because when I told her she could buy a house with that credit card, she said she only wanted enough money for books and a cat."

I really enjoyed this. I do like that contract trope, forced proximity and a strong fmc, even if Presley was a little naive and clueless.

Despite Presley's situation, she still put herself first when it counted. She overheard the guys talking about her after her interview and rather than stick around and go through that humiliation she left. Something that they didn't realise until the following day and panicked.

"What about Presley?"
"I'm sure he'll be happy to spend another night in the suite."
"She checked out of the hotel yesterday?"
"She didn't wait."

Surprise, surprise. For the first time, the world didn't stop for Hastings. What did you expect? You called her desperate, you said you were concerned about her smell (how is anyone supposed to take that in a positive light) and told her you had other options. That's degrading, dehumanising and cruel. I'm glad she left. I kind felt like Hastings needed to grovel a little to be honest, lol.

I liked the interesting take on scents in this world. So, alphas and omegas can have more than one (usually two, max three, four is rare). There is the 'base' scent which anyone can smell then there's hidden scents which come out during an omega's heat (wasn't mentioned if that's the same w alphas - only coming out in presence of an omegas heat?). It made for something knew in an otherwise already established genre, so I liked that take.

There were a few moments here and there that didn't hit for me as there were minor inconsistencies around it that had me a little confused. Nothing too big, just small enough to pull me from the story and go "huh". For example, Maeve visits Presley to take her shopping, then the next time she comes she asks for Preseley's address (fair, she may not have exact address as she was flown in before) and where she's living now in her new hoity toity life (not exact words but it was a little accusatory and unfair) then acted like she'd never seen the place when she arrived.

There isn't any other other woman drama in this, not in the sense of the guys anyway, but Presley's friend who has been 'amazing and life saving' did bring a lot of drama for a side character and she does a full 180 on Presley. She's very supportive and protective of Presley in the beginning, even after Presley started her 'job' in the 'high life'. Then all of a sudden she's throwing it in Presley's face, being cruel about it and accusing Presley of being 'too good' for their little town/food etc.

Maeve causes the third act break up in this. Rather than calm her friend down, talk to her and maybe say "you need to have a sit down and discuss where you and the guys stand now that a mating bite is involved" she lashes out at Presley and basically destroys her confidence and causes her to run. I get the bite itself was a trigger for Maeve and I'll definitely be reading her story, but she didn't really come across as a good friend like Presley made her out to be.

Even in the epilogue (3 years later), Maeve only told Presley she was pregnant at 5 months. A bunch of stuff happened and Presley was all "why didn't you tell me sooner" and Maeve was all 'just cause' about it. I really hope in her book she's a better friend to Presley.

The epilogue also brought in a huge info dump which would have been better given in the actual story rather than three years into their relationship. That is, Presley is adopted (even we didn't know this) and Hastings' parents died in a car accident and is what led him to close himself off and be 'cold and calculating'. That is a huge part of what made his personality the way it was and really should have been something they each learned way earlier in their relationships.

All in all, I liked this - I ate it up in less than a day because it did hook me. It's a little sweet, a little spicy, definitely cozy and a fun read.

3.5 ⭐️ (rounding up for GR rating)

Presley is an omega living in a caravan park, struggling just to get by day to day. When a friend shows her an ad looking for a surrogate-for-hire, she figures… why not? It’s an opportunity she can’t afford to ignore.

Hastings, Fritz, and Etienne are searching for an heir—not a mate. So when a sweet, shy, awkward, and unexpectedly funny omega shows up, they’re skeptical. That skepticism doesn’t last long, though, because they fall for Presley almost immediately… even if none of them are ready to admit it.

While I genuinely enjoyed Presley’s story, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing. Certain details felt confused or forgotten, and at times the pacing was a bit off, which made a few moments not hit as strongly as they could have.

That said, I still enjoyed the book overall and think it’s worth reading. I’d absolutely encourage others to give it a try and form their own opinion.

Presley's story was an enjoyable, fast paced romance with three billionaires who are after an heir to help fill the void of an omega missing in their life. I felt their relationship moved quite fast once Presley got her heat faster than planned and happened within a small time span which isn't uncommon in omegaverse. I kind of wish we got a little more individual moments of interaction with Hastings, Etienne and Fritz with her to make it slightly less instalove. This doesn't take away from the story at all though. I enjoyed the few moments of Mr Cheddar the cat and look forward to seeing where Maeve's story goes.

Pack Baby for the Billionaires is the newest book by Evie Ellis. This is not connected to her other books so this is a great starting point for new readers. This is a cozy OV story. Presley has had a rough few years; both her parents recently died and she has move into a mobile home. She is living paycheck to paycheck and sees no way out. One of her friends encourages her to apply to an ad for a pack looking for a surrogate. Several of the pack members can tell from the first meeting that this will not be the straightforward situation they were looking for. Can the pack get on the same page on what to do with Presley? How will Presley react to this pack?

fast but good

This one was a mixed bag. It was definitely fast but if you are looking for what the blurb says then you will not be disappointed. It is no more or no less than it promises to be. I think Maeve’s story will be a bit more exciting when it comes to plot.
SPOILERS

I think there was a huge lack of background on our MMCs and at first I was like “ok” but then in the epilogue Presley shares she was adopted and Hastings that his parents died in a car accident when he was 8 and in the car. Like WHAT?! This is massive character pieces that would’ve been much better IN the story. Also how do you wait 3 years to find that out? That’s why the book lost a star tbh.

This was a unique premise written with humour, heat and so much love. Presley is a feisty omega who is very much down on her luck but with a heart of gold. Her three alphas are billionaires and Hastings in particular is used to getting exactly what he wants. Ettienne is the romantic of the group and Fritz the down to earth laid back one. There journey to HEA is full of lots of bumps but the book is sweet and cosy and not too heavily baby focused. Absolutely loved this and really hard to put down

Sure I am a fan of the genre but that makes me an expect and I can tell you this one is very good. It gives me the cozy vibes I want. Presley is an omega and the relationship with the alphas progresses quickly after her heat is early. The story could of benefitted with a bit more on the development of the relationships individually but overal I really enjoyed reading this book. Looking forward to more books by this author!

I absolutely loved Presley's story.
She has been one of my favorite FMC. She was resilient, had such a big heart, and a little sassy.
I loved Etienne, Fritz, and Henry. One took a little longer for me, but I fell for him too.
This book had drama, humor, lots of emotions, spice, and lots of love.
I'm so glad Presley got her happy ending. She and her alphas deserved it!

Good Read

I found that I enjoyed this book. The story drew me in and I felt like it was over before I knew it. The characters were great and I enjoyed their journey. I also liked the set up for the next book and I can’t wait to read it and see how the story develops. I would recommend giving it a read.

Presley and her pack

I love contract relationships. This book had everything. Poor girl signing a contract to be a rented womb but smells led to scent matches which led to amazing chemistry and pack. Has a happy ending and some spice but the book had more of a storyline than spice line but was really balanced. Now to read about Maeve

Such a great read. I loved every second of it and couldn’t stop reading. The angst, spice, humor, friendships and all the things in between all of it made the book very enjoyable. The ending was amazing and can’t wait to see more about a certain omega

Binge Worthy!

I binged this book so fast!
Loved how the FMC was independent enough to take care of herself but not so stubborn headed she couldn’t accept help. No OWD. No MM but the guys aren’t shy, which is just ‘chefs kiss’.
Great read! Can’t wait for Maeve’s story !
