Marooned is the very aptly named third book in the Silent Tide series, as that's how most of the characters start the book exactly that way. Garrett is trapped in the mountains, being hunted by deranged locals. Iona made it to campus, only to find she made a mistake and ends up marooned there. Tess, Hannah, Melissa, Gavin and their group is still marooned in New York. The writing is absolutely of the high caliber to be expected from Kraus & Upton. The characters are great, even the most detestable of them are well composed, the narrative quality is excellent, with remarkably effective descriptions of the ravages eco glide has wrought, the plot gets better with every book in the series, and the dialogue is in line with what one would expect in such a wild and unpredictable scenario. There are several cliffhangers I will not spoil, but you'll be more than eager for book 4 after reading Marooned! Overall, 5/5 stars, highly recommended for fans of apocalyptic thrillers and disaster thrillers!
I was on edge the whole book, I love this series! I cannot get enough of these Authors. I was worried about them all through the whole book. I can't imagine being stuck in a boat that one man out of the people in that boat doesn't care what others sacrificed for the chance of the ride to somewhere safe. The water dangerous filled with bacteria that can kill you if you don't know to was in salt water. Not only that but the two teens swimming to find supplies put themselves in danger for the whole group. Then somewhere in the mountains a husband is fighting men trying to kill him and his dog for his dad's old truck. You have to read this series if you loved Apocalyptic books.
This continues a very good series. The Tessa/Hannah storyline has a lot action and it is nice in the midst of bad and desperate people that they encounter a group determined to survive but keep their humanity. I have to hope Gavin gets what is coming to him. Iona’s story is good too though Fiona would drive me crazy even though she has her good points too. Garrett and his relationship with Belter was interesting, though the three people he saved that kept them prisoner made little sense. I look forward to the next book.
Marooned continues the stories of the separated parts of the Clements family, all facing terrible dangers in different parts of the US. Various events, repeatedly put their and millions of others' lives on the line.
Stacey Upton and Mike Kraus' post- apocalyptic survival-thriller, Marooned, is chock-full of adventure, high drama, risk taking, betrayal, salvation and much more besides, so be sure to get your copy today!
Everyone is fighting to survive this disaster but unfortunately it’s extremely difficult. There are so many obstacles in their way, who knows if they will even find a place of refuge. Full of danger and surprises.
It’s pretty much a SyFy series, as the premise is pretty far out, & the ability of main characters to survive ice water, hypothermia conditions as described, is nil. But, it’s a fascinating read!
The water or the snow blizzard threatening our characters. They fight the bacteria in the water As they look for a safe place or even in some Trying to find to find a cure
A good third part to this thrilling, post apocalyptic series. More interesting ideas, tension & excitement, a good progression in the plot. A fun read!
Marooned is another exciting story in The Silent Tide series. Continued dangers face our characters, keeping you glued to each chapter. It's a definite must read. Looking forward to the next book.
