Rate this book
Wyatt and Willow face assassins and military imprisonment in a chaos-filled Tennessee, while a deadly plague and the tyrannical HOA force Sierra and her neighbors to defend their cul-de-sac at gunpoint in Wave of Ruin Book 4.

From the 4.5-million-copy bestselling author Mike Kraus comes another gripping series, written with bestseller Marcus Richardson!

Terrorists launch the most devastating attack in American history, crippling the nation's ports and train stations in a coordinated strike. Cruise ships vanish in flame, states go dark and on board the last ship still afloat, Wyatt and Willow Carter are about to witness the final blow.

Trapped aboard the Emperor of the Seas as it approaches Miami, the Carters are separated when terrorists strike from within.

Meanwhile, back home in Wisconsin, their children Jack and Hadley, along with Wyatt's sister Sierra, face a different kind of war.

With the ship under siege and a nuclear weapon on board, Wyatt joins forces with a desperate security team in a last-ditch effort to reclaim control and prevent his wife and himself from certain death.

As the power fails, the cold sets in and neighbors turn hostile, the safety of Jack, Hadley and Sierra's home becomes a battleground.

Across dual fronts on land and sea, one family fights to survive in a world unraveling by the hour.

New complications escalate tensions even further

Insurgency, book 4 in the outstanding Wave Of Ruin series, continues Wyatt and Willow's desperate efforts to get home while Sierra, Jack, Erin and other allies fight both to stop a deadly infectious disease while dealing with the delusional Davenport and the psychopathic Haestin and the ersatz homeowners association. I can't say enough good things about this book, and this entire series for that matter. Erin is still the standout character in this series, for me at least, that unique sense of humour always comes through at the perfect times! Overall, 5/5 stars, with highest recommendations for both fans of apocalyptic survival thrillers and thrillers in general; very few audiences will not love Insurgency!

This continues what has been a good series. There were some minor editing issues-some quotation marks missing at the start and end of a few quotes and Lilly was spelled both Lilly and Lily. I also didn't get the point of the first chapter with Phil. He came and went in one chapter with no apparent connection to anyone seen in the story thus far. There is a lot of plot movement for both Wyatt/Willow and the group in the neighborhood with the latter facing and increasing threat on several fronts. I do find it a bit curious that while there are cartels running amok and other bad people taking advantage of the chaos, we have not seen anything from the guys that perpetrated the attack since book one. Still, this is a good story and I'm looking forward to the next book.

I did really enjoy this part of the series. It amazes me as an English person the power the HOA seem to have in the US. For me this adds an extra twist of interest & wow what a little hitler, the character seems. Good ideas, I do like the fact that it is written from different characters perspectives, overall a good read!
