I'm a first time reader of this author and she writes beautifully! The story follows Emerald and Derek's story and what a story they have! Derek is determined to keep Emerald at a distance and his hot and cold nature towards her was frustrating at times but necessary for the story to work! They have great chemistry which makes you wanting more and has a lovely ending! A great read and recommend you give it a go!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. Emerald and Derick start out very rocky but they have chemistry right from the start. Derick has secrets and he is not used to letting people get close to him but Emerald manages to get under his skin and before long he can't live without her. It is really great that they get their happy ever after.

Caught by Cupid is the first book I have read by Jennifer. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Derek did tend get on my nerves but he has the reasons why he is the way he is. I loved Derwk and Emerald as a couple. I was hooked from the beginning. There was that mystery about Derek till the end. I can't wait to read more of Jennifer's books.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I have found a new author I like. I loved this book from the start. The writing was amazing and flowed nicely. I fell in love with Emerald and Derick. There were times I wished Em would just punch or kick the crap out of this annoying man who was constantly toying with her emotions. The hot/cold behaviour was typical for men in general. They have a hard time expressing their emotions as it is but Derick was beyond alpha male. I loved the romance of this book. I enjoyed her loyalty to her friend Paris. I respected Emerald's strength and ability to stand up for herself, especially to her parents, which is not easy to do for anyone. There was a right amount of steamy sex scenes which even alluded to some definite BDSM in the works. The mystery behind the lighthouse was not what I expected at all. That was a twist which explained a lot of Derick's family dynamics. I highly recommend this book! Thank you for allowing me to read this book.

When Emerald Frazier's lost the job that she loved, she decided to go to New York, she was to stay with her best friend Paris and her life would be good.
Paris' life was what Emerald wanted her life to be like ... perfect, she was happy had a lovely boyfriend and was about to start her dream job. Was it not for the unfortunate accident that happened to her on a girls night out that was what would happen.
As Paris was now incapacitated Emerald had to do something to pay back her friends hospitality, she decided that she would go to Cupid Publishing and explain what had happened and keep the job until Paris was fit and well to take back her rightful position.
Emerald wasn't right for this job as the CEO Derek Cupid was an angry and they had mutual hate for each other from the first meeting. Could Emerald work for such a vile man? Would she be able to keep doing this day after day so that the job would be held open for Paris?
Derek had been put in a situation that he couldn't get out of and he needed Emeralds help to pull it off. She would be paid handsomely for it, but could she lie for him?
What would happen when their time together would be over?
A great story from a new to me author. Will be looking for more books as I enjoyed the writing style.

Emerald is a small-town girl who decides to visit her best friend in NYC. She had no idea that this quick getaway would totally change her life. I loved her spunky nature and the way she just couldn’t keep her mouth shut around Derek. Derek is thrown for a loop by Emerald. He tries his best to keep a distance between them but ends up falling for this stubborn woman anyway.

I only had a couple of issues regarding Riley. Who doesn’t go to the hospital while their fiance is having surgery? Who is comfortable walking around in his underwear in front of his fiancé’s best friend? What would Paris think? Why would Emerald think of this half-naked man as a big brother figure? I know I don’t want to see my brother walking around in his underwear!

I enjoyed this book and will be reading more by Jennifer Rose in the future.

This is my first book by this author an even though the story was a bit predictable at times the chemistry between Emerald and Derek was undeniable. Derek is a true Alpha male that you wish the female character Emerald would just slap him in the face at times, but as it goes along you start to have a bit of a soft spot for me and his past. I enjoyed the story in this book that I receive a copy of as part of the Quirky Blind Date readers group and this is my voluntary and honest review. The flow of the story was good, had you interested to see what would happen next and was full of interesting plots and characters. I did feel the end was a bit rushed and would have liked a longer ending and further information.

Emerald, or Em, is a small town girl who has always dreamed of living in NYC. After a series of unfortunate events, Em finds herself visiting her friend Paris in NYC, to finally meet Paris' fiancé and to get away for awhile. Once in NYC everything changes. After an incident in a club that leaves Paris unable to start her new job, Em agrees to go to the office for Paris and explain the situation and try and save Paris's job. Enter Derek Cupid.

Derek is a rude business man, who is hot as hell. Em is also his new PA. After a series of events where Em is constantly trying to teach Derek manners, Derek ends up asking her to take on a new role of his fake wife. Will they be able to pull it off?

I liked this book but felt that it was all over the place. The beginning of this book where she dreams of going to New York and the following chapters of her boring life in her hometown could have been summed up in 2-3 sentences throughout the book. They really have no relevance to how this book turns out.

I felt like the story kept changing tactics of where it was going to go and if you read this you'll understand what I mean.

Derek was a great Alpha male and Em was a strong girl. I liked these characters a lot but the story could have been better.

Wow. What a book. This is my first book from Jennifer but it won't be my last. This is an easy read as the story just flows and I couldn't put it down. Derek is stubborn sexy and grumpy until Em walks into his office. She's a strong sassy woman and doesn't take any of his shift from the start. There is so much tension between them it pours from the book.
I'm so glad I was asked to read this in my book club. Amazing read. Xxx

Caught By Cupid

This book was so back and forth and I loved the banter between the two main characters, Emerald and Derek.
Emerald is in New York visiting her best friend when an accident happens and she ends up in the office of Derek Cupid. They have a crazy first encounter, but it catches Derek's attention. The build up is slow, but the burn is fabulous! I really enjoyed this book!

Really enjoyed reading this book. The interaction of the characters had me smiling. Emerald and her potty mouth and the way Derek reacted had me out right laughing at times. The writing was very entertaining and I found that I had to keep reading to discover the untold truth that Derek seemed to be hiding and just when Emerald would break through those carefully erected walls that Derek had built

This is the first book by Jennifer Rose that I have read thanks to the Quirky Blind Date. I quite enjoyed the book and thought it was well written. I expected the book to take more of a turn into the BDSM side as it was hinted throughout the story, but it never did. I like both Emerald and Derek and enjoyed the push and pull that their relationship had.

This is the first time reading a book by this author. I enjoyed reading this book but Derek did get on my nerves sometimes with his hot and cold attitude. I also loved the way Emerald stood up to him and put him in his place. And I also loved the ending.

finished this book out of morbid curiosity. I had a hard time getting into this book. Emerald was a small town girl, who left the big city go to her head.

Derek wasn't an Alpha/dom. he was an jerk. He was mean to his mother, because of something she did in the past. But he doesn't understand the circumstance and rather than ask, he just bottles it up. What's the golden rule, watch how he treats his mom, if he treats her bad, he'll treat you bad. Frankly if he would have grabbed me by the neck, I would have throat punched him.

The end was weird, it was like Derek became a human being again. He realized he did love her and did a 180. I was confused.

this book needed another once over by, Frazier was misspelled, there were grammar issues. Frazier is the main characters name!

Emerald (Em) and Derek were never meant to meet. When they do the chemistry is combustible. The banter is fun and flirty.
