ARC REVIEW

This was great ending to an amazing first series by Kate. The ups and downs that I went on truly were amazing. Having a refresher on what happened in Blood Crown is important because the beginning of the Blood Reign picks right up where book 2 ended.

The yearning by every character in this book was INSANE!!! I was swooning and the confessions made me so happy. I loved seeing the different character POVs as I saw side characters like Asher, Karro, Valea, and Seth develop. The hold that Ven and Aurelia will have on me is an understatement as their relationship is to die for.

Be ready for the ups and downs of your favorite characters. I honestly thought many times that Asher was going to die and Seth coming back to life!!!! That made me so happy to see not only that he was alive, but that Asher and Seth got their time to grow together. The determination from Ven to find Aurelia and then when he got her back to keep her safe was so cute! But…. HELLO…. Asher using the coin to get rid of the blood oath Aurelia took with the King of the Void was not on my bingo card! And Aurelia is a BAD ASS QUEEN THAT I STRIVE TO BE!!!! Lastly, I was actively crying because I thought Nira was going to die and Embra would have to live her life without her wife. But the way they put their powers together to safe her was AMAZING and instead of tears of sadness, I had tears of joy!

I highly recommend this book to people who LOVE fantasy, vampires, enemies to lovers, touch him/her you die, and “I will find you in every lifetime” confessions. This helped heal the hole that was left after I finished Onyx Storm and held me in a chokehold when I had to wait for Book 3 to come out after finishing Book 2.

Thanks to @authorkatecunningham for the #gifted copies of this book.

My Thoughts: First and foremost, I am sooooooo sad that this series is over. 😭💔 I have loved these characters so much, and it will be hard to leave this world. It’s so hard to review the final book in a fantasy series without spoiling anything—but trust me, you need to read this series!

This book was nonstop action, starting with page 1, and I found myself sprinting through to the end. Though I missed having more of Ven and Ari, I really enjoyed the POVs from several of the characters this time. It added more layers to the story, culminating in a satisfying conclusion. I was an emotional rollercoaster the entire time—crying 😭, laughing 😂, raging 😤, swooning 😍… you name it 💥✨

I will miss this world and these characters so much. I’m so thankful 🫶 to have followed and hyped this journey, and I can’t wait to see what Kate has in store next. Pick up this series... You will not regret it.

What You'll Find:
😤🔥Feminine Rage
👀💞Forced Proximity
🌊🔥🌪️🌿Elemental Magic
😍✨Slow Burn to 🔥🔥
👥📖✨Multi POV

No but seriously, this was absolutely perfect!! I feel like everything connected so nicely and just loved the way everything panned out!

Thank you to @katecunningham for the stunning #gifted book and the beautiful artwork.

The final installment of the Blood Kingdom Trilogy is absolutely captivating.

Ven's quest to find Aurelia, who has been seized by the terrifying King of the Void and his eerie demons, keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book gives special focus to the supporting characters, especially the evolving relationship between Karro and Valea.

The prose is exquisite, boasting vivid descriptions that bring the story to life. This installment shines a spotlight on side characters like Karro, Valea, Seth, Asher, Embra, and Nira, deepening their relationships and character arcs. Valea’s growth is portrayed with remarkable beauty, and the tender development of her romance with Karro adds emotional depth. Meanwhile, Ven and Aurelia’s love perseveres despite her capture, shining through the chaos. The theme of found family is seamlessly woven throughout, enriching the narrative.

The final confrontation with the King of the Void is spectacular, leaving you truly breathless. The ending is perfectly crafted for this trilogy's conclusion.

This triology is a one-of-a-kind gem, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all romantasy enthusiasts!

ARC review: first, thank you so much to the author for allowing me an arc copy. As a huge fan of the first two books, it was beyond exciting to get to read the finale before it is released. This was such a bittersweet read. Finishing your favorite book series is never easy, but this couldn’t have gone out with a bigger “bang”. I really thought I’d make it through without crying…LOL. So many emotions at the end. This review won’t include any spoilers, but just know this installment focuses mainly on our favorite “minor” characters. We get to see Asher/Seth developments and Valea/Karro progression. It made me a little sad to not get as much of Ven/Ari in this one but it made perfect sense for the plot, and I was happy with the moments we did get with each of them in this book. I feel like Kate did a beautiful job circling back to how it all started, and some of the tributes in the end to characters who were lost along the way or to moments that happened during the first couple books were done perfectly. I’m not a crier when it comes to the books I read but this series ending on top of everything that transpired towards the end of this book got me good. :’)

I am so sad that this series has come to an end but I am so excited to see where Kate goes next!

This series has had my heart from the very beginning and it has truly been a pleasure to be on this journey with Kate.

The Blood Reign picks up right where the Blood Crown ends. The ups and downs were so fun to be a part of. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen and how this story was going to end.

The yearning in this book was electric! Every character had is bad! I loved seeing all the different POVs from the characters and watching them develop into who they are! The love that Ven and Aurelia have is truly amazing and the chokehold they have on me is just so good!

I am so incredibly excited and proud of you Kate! I cannot wait to see what you do next and I hope to be on that journey with you again!

Read if you like:
-Romantasy
-Vampires
-Enemies to lovers
-Touch her/him and d!e
-"I will find you in every lifetime."

Book order - The Blood Kingdom, The Blood Crown, The Blood Reign.

Thank you Kate Cunningham for the privilege to early read this book in exchange for my honest thoughts and review!

4.5 ⭐️ This was the perfect conclusion to The Blood Kingdom trilogy. This book gave me everything I could have asked for and I’m so happy with how it ended.

This book gave us a lot more time with the side characters, and I loved it! Karro was one of my favorite characters throughout the series, so I enjoyed having more time in his POV and watching his part of the story unfold. Valea quickly grew on me and I loved how her and Karro’s relationship devolved.

The author was truly trying to kill me with Asher and Seth’s relationship. Between Asher’s journey to being comfortable being open in his sexuality and the constant near death experiences, I was terrified there would be no happy ending.

This series is filled to the brink with the perfect amount of action, tension, vivid imagery, and romance. The characters are so lovable and relatable, and you’re cheering for them and hurting with them. I would highly recommend.

This is an ARC review. Thank you to the author for an advanced copy!

Kate has done it again! What a wonderful ending to this incredible trilogy! The world Kate has created is so atmospheric, I loved getting to explore more of the kingdoms in this final book. The plot continues to hook you and keep you guessing. But my favourite part of this series by far is the characters and the found family. I loved getting more POV’s in this book that allowed you to get to know characters even better! And who knew you could have multiple slow burn romances happening at the same time, but Kate pulled it off. Overall this whole trilogy is 5 stars and I would love to see it get the recognition it deserves

OMG KATE!!! Thank you so much for the advance copy of this book.

This book did NOT disappoint but also how is it over 😭

A wonderful ending to an amazing trilogy. Just as with the first to the story is so well told. The characters are top tier and the I have so many emotions/feelings for each of them.

Not only do you get an amazing FMC/MMC but the side characters literally become main characters in the best way. Some of the best Banter and slow burn 🔥. All the love.

The story across all 3 books is FANTASTIC! Infinity Stars Forever! I will reread this series ❤️

This was the perfect ending to an amazing series. SJM and Rebecca Yarros - take note - this is how you write a reasonable length romantasy series!

The Blood Reign perfectly wraps up The Blood Folk series and moves at a great pace. So much happens in this book, and every single plot point is hit on and concluded.

I felt every emotion - grief, pain, excitement, hope, humor.. truly outstanding writing and story.

Kate made the best choice by having this be a Mutiple POV book. I love the side characters and this book really let them shine.

Second, wow. This was fantastic, beautifully written, and a great ending to a wonderful trilogy. These characters will remain with me for a long time - all of them. This was the perfect end to the Blook Folk series. Kate has done it once again with this book and I loved every second of it. A beautiful end to the gothic fantasy series, 10/10 would reread this whole series. The world is rich with fantasy and the characters become more dynamic as the story continues, for those who are just diving in, you're in for a treat.

This book was amazing. There were some great fight scenes. My heart was ripped out of my chest at moments, but then carefully put back into my chest by the end. Kate Cunningham made an excellent ending to this trilogy. I can't choose which characters I loved the most, as she made them all equally amazing and lovable. My only complaint is that it's now over, the story is complete.
