Tessa Callahan left the ranch years ago, trading barbed wire for city streets. But when her uncle dies, she’s pulled back to a home that’s more than just tired, it’s drowning.
With a mountain of debt, a predatory ex-fiancé circling, and a property in the crosshairs of an auction, Tessa is fighting for survival. She doesn't need a hero, and she certainly doesn't need Wyatt Hargrove.

Wyatt Hargrove is a man of the land, steady, solid, and built from the Rockies.
He runs a sprawling ranch and a successful brewery, but his biggest challenge isn't business, it's a promise he made to a dying man to watch over his niece.
To Tessa, Wyatt is the "vulture" waiting to pick her family’s bones clean.
To Wyatt, Tessa is the fire he can’t put out and the one thing he’s determined to protect, even if she hates him for it.

As secrets from the past resurface and the pressure to sell reaches a breaking point, Tessa must decide if she and Wyatt are enemies or if he's the only thing standing between the Callahan ranch and total ruin.
In a place where stubbornness is instilled at birth, can two people who want completely opposite things find common ground?

WILD ENOUGH is a gritty, emotional small-town romance about legacy, betrayal, and the fierce strength it takes to fight for the land you love, and the person who refuses to let you go.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I enjoyed this 🥹 It’s easily the best cowboy romance I’ve read since the Chestnut Springs series and delivered everything I wanted and more 🙌🏼

✔️ Small town
✔️ Cowboy romance
✔️ Single dad
✔️ Enemies to lovers
✔️ Age gap
✔️ Suspense
✔️ Grief and healing

Tessa is a city girl who inherits her uncle’s ranch along with his debts, and doesn’t know the first thing about ranching. Wyatt is a divorced, successful brewery owner who promised Tessa’s uncle he’d watch over her and had to deliver the difficult news of his passing. Tessa doesn’t want Wyatt’s help, but this doesn’t put him off. He still shows up, checks in on her and quietly fixes things for her. This man is the definition of a walking green flag 🤌🏼

"I'm trying to respect your boundaries. But you make it damn hard when you look at me like that."
"Like what?"
"Like you want me to cross them." 😮‍💨😮‍💨

The level of spice was absolute perfection! And no cringy ‘wet folds’ in sight 🥴

The suspense around Tessa’s asshole of an ex fiancé was unexpected but I really enjoyed it and it had me on the edge of my seat!

I adored every single character (aside from Colin 🤮🚩) and Tessa’s and Maddy’s relationship was just the sweetest 🥹
And Dani?! We NEED a book about Dani, she’s the kind of friend all of us wish we had and had me giggling to myself from the first chapters! She’s loud, she’s loyal and shows up for Tessa every time.

The sneak peek of Rough Enough has got me so excited for Brooke & Cal’s story 👀

Thank you SO much to Bonnie Poirier for an early copy 🤎

The best kind of start to a new series, one that keeps me longing for more. The characters, the setting, and more story. I was hooked early on and read the book in a little over 24 hours. Plenty of emotion, all of it, characters who you get invested in their lives, and rooting for them to heal and achieve peace.

Wyatt and Tessa share the love of her uncle, but until she fully understands the situation at his farm, Wyatt is the enemy. Tessa has returned home, the man who raised her has passed. As she unearths the state of his farm, the mountain of debt he left, and a neighbor who wants the farm she has inherited.

I love the tenacity and moxie of Tessa, she is determined to save the ranch she loves.
Wyatt is patient and kind to Tessa, checking in on her. Her ex is a piece of work, and is adding to the stress, grief, and other emotions she is working her way through. He gives her space until things happen that cannot be explained.

Then there is Dani, Tessa’s best friend, her ride or die. She brings the humor to Tessa’s story. I loved reading their story, and I am excited for more.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

ARC Review: Thank you to Bonnie Poirier for sending me an advanced copy of Wild Enough to read and review

Wild Enough is such a great start to a new series. I love how Bonnie Poirier melds romance and suspense against this small town Canadian backdrop. The tension hits from three fronts. There’s tension between Tessa and Wyatt. It’s a delicious push a pull between the two characters. The they tension that Tessa feels from the stress of coming home after her uncle’s death, and there’s tension caused by someone who won’t leave her alone. Wyatt and Tessa’s relationship is a slow burn that is so satisfying when they come together.

Wyatt’s daughter Maddy is a teenager and she was such a breath of fresh air. Her character isn’t one of those teenagers who are full of attitude and hates her parents. Wyatt and Tessa both have friends that are a force to be reckoned with. Holt is Wyatt’s right hand man, and he would go to hell and back with his friend. Dani is Tessa’s pink haired bestie. She’s not afraid to tell Wyatt exactly why she thinks. She would also go to hell and back for her friend.

In Wild Enough, Bonnie Poirier takes readers to the intersection of the rugged Canadian Rocky Mountains and the vast, untamed foothills of Alberta. At its surface, the novel promises a classic "city girl returns to her small-town roots and falls for a brooding cowboy" trope. However, Bonnie Poirier transcends the boundaries of standard contemporary romance by weaving in heavy themes of domestic control, psychological trauma, and a high-stakes survivalist thriller plot. The result is a narrative that is equally heartwarming and heart-pounding.
The emotional core of the novel lies in Tessa’s journey of reclaiming her autonomy. Bonnie Poirier does an exceptional job establishing the insidious nature of Tessa's ex-boyfriend, Colin, early on. He is not a cartoonish villain, instead, he operates with a terrifyingly realistic brand of manipulation. Through his demands for her to be polished and his usage of gaslighting, Bonnie Poirier highlights the exhausting performance required of victims of emotional abuse.
In stark contrast stands Wyatt Hargrove. Wyatt represents the antithesis of Colin's entitlement. He possesses what Tessa’s roommate humorously and accurately dubs "Cowboy Daddy Energy" as a combination of fierce territorial protectiveness and absolute respect for Tessa’s agency. Wyatt's patience is a breath of fresh air. He doesn't push Tessa into a physical or emotional relationship before she is ready, understanding that after being controlled for so long, what Tessa needs most is the freedom to choose her own path.
Bonnie Poirier effectively leverages the vast Canadian landscape to mirror the internal states of her characters. The setting of River's Edge feels alive, complete with the scents of dry grass, mountain runoff, and brewing barley.
The book expertly shifts gears between a slow-burn romance and a nail-biting suspense thriller. The middle chapters masterfully build dread as Colin closes in on Tessa. The climax, set in a decaying, isolated hunting cabin, perfectly visualizes Tessa’s entrapment and her ultimate fight to break free. The sensory details here, the smell of stagnant water and the claustrophobia of the timber, enhance the terror of Colin's final unhinged stand.
* The Depiction of Trauma: The most profound strength of the book is its handling of post-traumatic stress. Tessa’s shaking hands, her skittishness, and her internal monologues about losing control are painfully authentic.
* Dialogue and Humor: Poirier intersperses the dark subject matter with genuinely witty banter, particularly through Tessa's fiercely loyal roommate, Dani. Dani provides the perfect comedic relief and emotional anchor Tessa needs in the city.
* Tone Shifts: If there is any critique to be made, it is that the transition from a gentle, healing ranch romance to a kidnapping thriller is quite jarring. While it serves to show that abuse doesn't just disappear, readers expecting a purely cozy small-town romance might find the third-act violence intense.
Wild Enough is a gripping, emotionally resonant read that offers far more than standard romantic fare. Bonnie Poirier has crafted a beautiful story about the difference between a love that seeks to possess and a love that seeks to empower. For readers who enjoy intense protective heroes, resilient heroines, and stories of triumph over abuse, this book is an absolute must-read.

This story feels like coming home to a place that’s both broken and sacred. Tessa (28) returns to her uncle’s ranch after his passing, carrying the weight of grief, responsibility, and a land that’s slipping through her fingers. The ranch is struggling, the memories are heavy, and she’s doing everything she can not to fall apart.

"I'm trying to respect your boundaries. But you make it damn hard when you look at me like that."

Wyatt (40) is the quiet, steady force she never asked for but keeps getting anyway. He shows up again and again; fixing things, checking in, hovering at the edges of her worst days, even when she makes it clear she doesn’t want him there. And maybe she doesn’t… because he wants to buy the ranch. Because letting him close feels like losing something else she’s not ready to give up. But his presence is grounding, patient, protective in a way that sneaks under her skin until she realizes he’s been holding her together more than she wants to admit.

"Tell me you don't feel this thing between us, and I'll walk out of here right now and never bring you feed again."

His daughter, Maddy, is the unexpected light in all the dust and grief. Her bond with Tessa grows slowly and sweetly, adding warmth and hope to a story that’s otherwise steeped in loss. She brings out a gentler side of Tessa, and later, she becomes the thread that ties all three of them into something that feels like a family forming in real time.

Dani, Tessa’s best friend, is the definition of ride‑or‑die. She’s loud where Tessa is quiet, fearless where Tessa is guarded, and absolutely unshakeable in her loyalty. She shows up without being asked, pushes when Tessa retreats, and becomes this fierce, grounding presence as the ranch’s troubles pile up. When Tessa’s ex starts circling back into her life, bringing tension, unease, and a shadow that stretches across the ranch Dani refuses to let her face any of it alone.

The suspense threaded through the story adds a sharp, unexpected edge. Tessa’s ex isn’t just a ghost from her past, he’s a real threat, one that forces old wounds open and raises the stakes for everything she’s trying to rebuild. The danger tightens around her life and the ranch, and it’s in those moments that Wyatt’s quiet protectiveness becomes something fierce. He and Dani form this unlikely, unspoken alliance, two people who don’t always agree but share one unshakable priority: keeping Tessa safe. That protective tension hums beneath the romance, giving the story a pulse that never lets up.

And then there’s the strip poker scene…fun, flirty, and perfectly timed. It’s the moment where the heaviness cracks just enough to let in heat and laughter, showing a side of Wyatt that’s teasing, observant, and absolutely gone for her. It’s playful without breaking the emotional tone, and it deepens their connection in a way that feels earned.

This romance is slow-burn, dust-covered, and deeply rooted in healing. It’s about choosing to stay when everything feels like it’s slipping away. It’s about a cowboy who loves quietly but fiercely and a woman who learns she doesn’t have to carry her burdens alone.

"I'm doing this because I want you. Because I've been thinking about your hands on me and your mouth on me and what it would feel like to let myself have something good without overthinking it to death."

A huge thank you to Bonnie Poirier for the early copy! Loving the start to the River’s Edge series. Can’t wait for Brooke & Cal’s story next.

Wild Enough by Bonnie Poirier grabbed me by the collar, dragged me through dust and heartbreak, and then handed me a love story so fierce I’m still emotional about it.

Tessa Callahan hurt my heart in the best way. She comes back to a ranch that isn’t just struggling, it’s gasping for air. Debt stacked sky high, a circling ex who feels more predator than partner, and an auction looming like a storm cloud ready to swallow everything her family built. You can feel how much this land means to her. It’s not property. It’s bloodline. It’s memory. It’s grief. I felt every ounce of her desperation and stubborn pride.

And then there’s Wyatt Hargrove.

Wyatt is the kind of man who feels carved from mountain stone. Steady. Quiet. Watching everything. Rancher. Brewery owner. Keeper of promises. When he vows to a dying man that he’ll look after Tessa, he takes that vow into his bones. The problem? She thinks he’s the vulture waiting for her ranch to collapse so he can swoop in.

The tension between them is thick as dust in late summer. She’s fire and fury and wounded pride. He’s calm control and unshakeable resolve. Every conversation feels like a standoff at the property line. But beneath it all, Wyatt’s protectiveness simmers. He lets her rage. Lets her misunderstand him. Lets her think the worst, because keeping her safe matters more than being liked.

That kind of quiet devotion wrecks me.

The emotional weight in this book is heavy in the best way. Legacy, betrayal, old wounds resurfacing. You feel the land as its own character, something breathing and fragile and worth fighting for. When secrets start unraveling and the pressure to sell reaches breaking point, I was fully clenched, praying Tessa wouldn’t lose everything.

And Maddy. Sweet Maddy. The way she loves Tessa, supports her, softens the sharp edges of everything going wrong. Those friendships felt real and grounding and necessary. I adored her for Tessa.

Watching Tessa slowly realize Wyatt isn’t the enemy but the one man standing between her and total ruin? That shift was beautiful. It wasn’t instant. It was earned. Layer by layer. Glance by glance. Act by act.

This book is gritty without losing tenderness. It’s stubborn hearts colliding in open fields. It’s a woman fighting for her inheritance and a man refusing to let her drown, even if she pushes him away with both hands.

I felt for Tessa deeply. And I loved loved Wyatt for the way he stood firm, loyal, and unwavering. This story doesn’t just deliver romance, it delivers resilience.

A freaking amazing start to a new series! It was packed with emotions and character healing & growth. I was gripped from page one right until the last word. I cared deeply for these characters & their love and connected with their joy, sorrow, hope, pain, & tenacity. They had me stressing, crying, laughing, and swooning.

Tessa is a vet tech who left her small town life behind for the big city.

Wyatt is a brewery owner, rancher, single dad who is trying to build his business.

They meet when he arrives at her home to tell her of her uncle's sudden passing. Not exactly cute. And then things get really not cute when she finds out he wants to buy her newly inherited land, which happens to be drowning in debt. It's not good. But it does get hot. And tough. And hotter. And intense.

Tessa is such a strong character. Her journey is intense, emotional and fraught with . I loved watching her stand up for herself and learn how to be, how to ask for help, how to get what she needs, and how to stay. She is rough around the edges in that way that feels real, authentic & relatable. Her responses aren't perfect, her emotions aren't contained and her beauty is incredible. I think I'm a little bit in love.

Wyatt is a beautiful, caring, gentle man. He has gone through a lot in his life - financial hardship, saving his ranch, building a business, divorce. And now he is learning how to support someone the way they need, not the way he thinks they need.

Their love story is so beautiful. It is spicy and painful and sad and joyful. And oh so complicated & complex. And I adored the side characters and cannot wait to visit this town again.

Also, her ex is absolute trash and I wish him every bad thing.

I love Bonnie's writing. She writes characters with depth and hits interesting emotional buttons. I like the tempo of her writing and my brain enjoys how things flow & connect.

I received this as an ARC and am so, so grateful. This had zero impact on my review.

Wyatt and Tessa’s story makes my heart ache as they try to find their way forward and then toward each other. At first Tessa, thinks Wyatt is just another predator waiting to scoop up the ranch she just inherited. She questions his motives for being kind and for showing up uninvited, usually just as she needs help. The debt load and disrepair of the ranch is overwhelming, but Tessa is reluctant to accept any help, especially from Wyatt. His patience and sincerity gradually get through to her and she begins to see him in a new light. Both are fighting an intense attraction to each other and it isn’t long before their relationship turns more intimate.

Wyatt is doing his best to give Tessa space and not overstep. She is fierce, determined to be independent and dealing with some very messy emotions, including grief and fearing she is not going to be able to save the ranch she loves. Wyatt is set on protecting Tessa when her ex turns to stalking her. In the aftermath of a frightening incident, Tessa doesn’t know how to move forward, where to turn or who to turn to. She needs space and time to find her footing again, to rebuild her confidence and her trust in herself, before she can contemplate moving forward with Wyatt. Thankfully, he is a steadfast and patient man, willing to listen and wait for her to heal and regroup before hopefully coming back to him. Their story definitely induces tears and sighs, but there are also moments of laughter, some of them involving Dani, Tessa’s very colourful, expressive and irrepressible best friend. She is most definitely Tessa’s ride or die friend and her rock.

This heart stirring book has my wholehearted recommendation.

This small-town romance completely snuck up on me in the best way. With enemies-to-lovers tension, a slow burn romance, and a touch of suspense, I was hooked on Tessa and Wyatt’s story from the beginning. Tessa is a fiercely independent vet tech whose life is turned upside down in a single night, forcing her to return to her family’s ranch and rebuild everything she thought she had figured out. My heart broke for her from the start with her carrying so much grief and responsibility, yet her strength and determination never waver. And Wyatt, good god this man. One of the most patient, steady, protective cowboys I’ve read in a long time. He shows up in the big moments and the quiet ones, respecting Tessa’s boundaries while still reminding her she doesn’t have to face the world alone. Watching her stubborn walls slowly fall for a man she convinced herself she would never love was so satisfying. The chemistry between them is undeniable, the strip poker scene alone deserves several rereads. I also loved the emotional depth and found family throughout the story. Wyatt’s daughter Maddy adds so much heart, and watching her relationship with Tessa grow was incredibly sweet. Tessa’s friendship with Dani is another highlight, they are truly ride-or-die. The suspense in the middle of the book deepens Tessa and Wyatt’s story, and the notes from Ray absolutely shattered me. Watching Tessa find her footing again after everything she’s endured felt so uplifting. I only wish we got a little more time with Wyatt and Tessa after they finally got their hard-earned happy ending.
Tropes:
• Small town
• Enemies to lovers
• Single dad
• Slow burn
• Suspense
• Vet tech x cowboy
If you love small-town romances with a protective single-dad cowboy and emotional healing, definitely add this one to your TBR! Thank you Bonnie for writing a beautiful story that I was lucky enough to get to read early!

Tessa is forced to return to the home she ran away from when her Uncle Ray passes away. She's greeted by debt, uncertainty, and a hot "Cowboy Daddy" Her unfinished business and ex boyfriend in Calgary also follow her.

I enjoyed the story and plot points, and loved the build up of the characters relationships....but I did not care for Tessa herself. I found her a bit immature and unappreciative. Wyatt....is a gem...and one of my favorite single dad MMCs.

There were a few pacing and continuity issues in the story that didn't really make a difference to the story line...but made me go back and read parts again to make sure I didn't miss something. For example there was one part where the MMC and a few others were riding horses....and then in the next paragraph they "turned off the engine".

Overall it was a great read and I did enjoy it....there were just a few points that kept the start from being a 5 star read. I would definitely reccomend it to others.

Wild Enough had me hooked from the very first chapter. This story is packed with emotion, tension, and a romance that slowly builds in the most satisfying way.

Tessa is fiercely determined to save the ranch that holds her family’s legacy, even when everything seems stacked against her. And Wyatt? He’s the definition of quiet strength—loyal, steady, and always showing up when it matters most.

Their relationship is full of stubborn pride, lingering tension, and a slow realization that maybe the person you’ve been pushing away is the one who’s been in your corner all along.

✨ What I loved:
• A fiercely independent heroine
• A quietly devoted hero
• Emotional depth and real stakes
• A setting that feels alive
• A romance that’s earned, not rushed

This story is gritty, heartfelt, and full of resilience. Such a strong start to the series, and now I’m already counting down until the next book.

I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Running from the past. Caught up in grief. Stuck between a rock and a hard place and Tessa is just struggling to keep her head above water. No one knows how to handle family loss. Nothing gets easier, and nothing sorts itself out. She fought and just when she thought she slipped under Wyatt came and pulled her to shore. Never wanting to accept a hand but needing a solid place to land He made sure to always be right beside her. Wild Enough was a super emotionally driven, but well written start to the Rivers Edge Series and I cannot wait for book 2. These characters fought for their life to navigate Ray's labyrinth of ruins. Keeping an old farm in the family. Fixing it up and showing it grace. Some things are worth saving and I fell head over heels for that Cowboy and all his efforts. Trauma can bond, but it can also frighten and he knew how to lead the way in the dark. This book was kept me strung along and I DEVOURED IT!

- Stubborn FMC
- Enemies to lovers
- Super slow burn
- Going home

This book got me right in the feels. Tessa is absolutely adrift after finding out her uncle Ray, who raised her, has passed....and that he was on the verge of losing everything due to financial difficulties. What she thought was a kind gesture from Wyatt becomes suspect when she learns he has been trying to buy her uncle's farm for several years.

Even though the odds are definitely against her, Tessa is determined to do what she can to save the farm as it is her only tie to Ray. Wyatt wants to help Tessa, but she is so stubborn!!

What starts out as a type of feud among neighbors turns into something more as Wyatt shows Tessa that he is not the villain she imagines.

This book was so enjoyable that I found myself thinking about it all day and sneaking quick reading sessions. I can't wait to see what's next in this series!!

✨ I received an advance reader copy from the author. All opinions are my own. ✨

This was my first ever read by this author, and I will be picking up others in the near future. This was such an emotional read for me, I was crying my eyes out in the first 5 chapters. I absolutely loved Wyatt, our MMC, and how much he understood Tessa, our FMC, and her need to just unload on him and how he let her because he knew how much she was hurting. Tessa at times made me literally want to knock her tf out, if I'm honest. There has been many times where I wanted to throttle a FMC for not seeing what's right in front of her, and this was one of them. But she finally gets it together and I could finally breathe. I loved Maddy, there were many times that she had me cackling out loud. If you love a good book with tension, a protective cowboy daddy, a head strong fmc, a blunt teenage daughter, and an emotional ride, this is the book for you.

Wyatt is Ray's next door neighbour, he tries to contact Tessa, Ray's niece, when he dies but ends up driving to see her. The ranch is in a bad financial situation, Wyatt has tried to help but Ray was stubborn and wouldn't accehelp or a solution.
Tessa has been having trouble with her ex, they've had an on-again-off-again relationship due to his cheating, but when he proposes it's the last straw and she breaks it off. He's not a happy bunny!
She's goes to the ranch full of guilt for not seeing Ray more often, then she's angry with Wyatt for what she thinks he's trying to do and she's fed up with Colin for not taking no for an answer, he keeps texting and pestering her. Her feelings for Wyatt are complicated.
Can they sort themselves out? Wyatt hasn't had emotions like this for any woman but he likes that Tessa is quite fiery.
Then Colin becomes more of a problem.
Will Wyatt and his friends be able to rectify the problem?

A great romantic suspense from Bonnie.

4,5 ⭐

When Wyatt finds his neighbor Ray, the owner of the nearby ranch, dead in his home, he tries to contact Ray’s only living relative, his niece, Tessa. When his attempts fail, Wyatt drives two hours to Calgary to find her in person. The news of Ray’s death comes as a shock to Tessa, but she returns with Wyatt to the ranch she grew up on.

Back at the ranch, Tessa quickly realizes how much trouble it’s in. With limited time, she must decide whether to fight to save it or sell. Things get even more complicated when Wyatt reveals he had asked Ray multiple times to sell him the ranch, but Ray always refused.

Add in a creepy ex-boyfriend, financial struggles, a growing attraction to her new (and very hot) neighbor, secrets from the past, and you’ve got a story full of tension and emotion.

I really enjoyed this book, it hooked me right away, and it made me cry more than once, which says a lot. Overall, it’s a deeply emotional and engaging read, perfect for fans of small-town romance.

Did someone say ARC? 😍
Secrets can either make or break you… and that’s exactly what Tessa Callahan is about to find out.

Wild Enough by Bonnie Poirier follows Tessa after she inherits her uncle’s ranch — and all his debt. She’s stressed, broke, and dealing with a cheating ex who won’t go away.

Then there’s Wyatt.
Cowboy next door.
Single dad.
Wants to buy her land to “help.”

She sees him as the enemy… even if he’s ridiculously gorgeous.

But Wyatt isn’t the villain she thinks he is. He shows up. He helps without taking over (well… mostly). And the way he loves his teenage daughter? Chef’s kiss. Ultimate DILF energy.

Small-town ranch vibes, slow burn tension, family secrets, toxic ex drama, and one protective cowboy who refuses to give up on her.

If you love capable FMCs and swoony single dads — this one’s for you

What to expect
✨Small town romance
✨ Enemies to lovers
✨ Stubborn FMC
✨ Single dad
✨ Slooowww burn

This is my first book I have ready by this author. And it did not disappoint!
I really like the characters. The FMC Tessa, boy this girl had no idea what she as walking into when she arrived at the ranch. And she is one of the most stubborn fmc’s I have ever read 😂

And our MMC Wyatt, ooff this man, he was caring, protective and kept his distance until she was ready. He would burn the world down for her.

I also love Dani she is the bestie we all need in our lives.
And Maddie was such a cutie.

Loved the small town romance vibe. This was a great book.

Also got a sneak peak into the next book. And I can’t wait for that one to be released.

I highly recommend this book!

I was given an advanced reader copy and I’m leaving my honest review 😊🤠

Tessa is a fiercely independent vet tech whose life is flipped upside down overnight, sending her back to the ranch where she grew up. From the very first page, my heart ached for her, carrying so much grief and responsibility, yet her determination never falters.

And Wyatt... what a man! Patient, steady and quietly protective. He shows up when it matters, respects Tessa's boundaries and gently reminds her she doesn't have to do it all alone. Watching her slowly fall for a man she swore she'd never love was so satisfying.

Wild Enough is a brilliant start to a new series-emotional, raw and full of growth. I loved watching Tessa learn how to ask for help and figure out what she truly needs.

Wyatt brings his own history, divorce, rebuilding, loss and it's beautiful seeing him learn how to support someone on their terms, not his.

Their love story? Tender, hopeful and beautifully complicated. I adored the side characters too and honestly can't wait to read more in this series.

Okay, this book was a wild ride and I am absolutely obsessed!

I ABSOLUTELY loved Tess and Wyatt's story.. LOVED Maddy.
This was my first dive into this author’s world, and let me tell you, I didn’t just dip a toe, I cannonballed in. The chaos of every character’s growth had me flipping pages at 100 mph.

Oh and we can not forget about Dani. Dani is the best chaotic bestie we all need! And don’t even get me started on that ending like, yes, finally! Now I’m prowling the internet like a gremlin, waiting for the next book because I need it, now because the sneak peek into book 2 has me with the grabby hands!

This book is worth so many more stars then just five. The plot, chemistry, spice all a chief kiss. I loved both Tess and Wyatt both as individuals as well as together. Wyatt had me swooning so much through out the book that man has the patience of a saint. The way he would brush off what Tess said to him when she was angry but still kept showing up for her in many ways. I loved Tess so much i adored her personaility she is very strong minded and her walls are so high which is understandable. I loved Tess's and Wyatt's daughters bond. This book is definetly worth the read I can not wait to read the next book in this series.

I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review.

Wild Enough is book 1 in the new series, River’s Edge by Bonnie Poirier.

Tropes:
Enemies to lovers
Slow burn
Small town

Tessa is determined to save her uncle’s ranch but the debt he had when he died is so much that she isn’t sure that is possible.
Wyatt has been after the ranch that Tessa inherited for a long time but he finds himself wanting the new owner so much more. Will Tessa give in and trust Wyatt’s intentions are good or will she second guess that he is just trying to steal the ranch from her?
Bonnie Poirier is bringing us a great new series and if the books to come is anything like this first one, I can’t wait to see what she does!

I’m drawn to the vulnerable FMCs that are starting over and the MMCs that are there to help, protect and love them unconditionally. Tessa returns to her childhood home and ranch that she has to fight to keep despite its mountains of debt and despair. Her new neighbor and single dad, Wyatt, is a steady and helpful presence…much to her initial dismay. One they both got past their stubbornness, their slow burn relationship was natural, heartwarming and sweet. The suspense sub-plot with Tessa’s past was a welcome addition, propelling the plot, enforcing their teamwork, and strengthening their connection.
Thanks to the author for the eARC

This was my first read from Bonnie. It was so good!!

Small Town Romance with some suspense and past secrets. Tessa comes back to her uncle’s ranch after he passes and is now responsible for the debt he had. Wyatt is there to take care of Tessa even though she wants him no where near her.

I love the whole storyline and everything that unraveled. I love the writing. It was such a great read. It’s a book about healing and working through grief. There were many sad moments, but also the strength that we all have when going through moments like this. Looking forward to book 2!

Wild Enough is the first book in the River’s Edge series and this one packs the emotions with the found family, small town vibes, single dad and the gritty romance.

The tension between Wyatt and Tessa simmers when she comes back to her uncle’s ranch after he passes away. With the ranch she inherited drowning in debt, she is determined to save the last connection to her uncle who raised her.

Then there is Wyatt. He made a promise to Ray that he would look after Tessa. He is steady and has a strength to him, as he is there for Tessa no matter what.

Wild Enough is a beautifully written story. Tessa comes home after Ray dies to try and save the ranch. Wyatt the next door neighbor wants to help Tessa , but would also like Ray's property. It's a complex story, that is so intriguing. Bonnie's writing is so descriptive of the ranch, the people, the land, everything. Wild Enough is a pleasure to read. The story touches the complexity of life and its rewards. You will enjoy this love story.

I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Love this! Tessa is a force to be reckoned with but Wyatt is the chink in her armor. This book is flirty, fast, and a little feral—in the best way. It’s got that reckless spark from the start, the kind where feelings show up before anyone’s ready to name them. The chemistry stays front and center, the tension doesn’t let up, and the romance has just enough heart under the heat to make it stick. I flipped the pages so fast! I couldn’t wait to see how it ended. This series is off to a strong start!

fantastic start to a new series

Bonnie has done it again! This new start to a new series has me itching to get book two in my hands. It had the perfect amount of tension as well as relatable and realistic conflict and storyline. Wyatt is a man that makes your heart pitter patter a little harder and Tessa has strength that all women aspire to have. They were dynamite together and bring out the best in each other when they finally let their walls down.

Bonnie has grown so much as an author and o can wait to see what’s to come for her.

✨wild enough✨

Wyatt & Tessa

✨age gap
✨single dad
✨he’s protective
✨she’s grieving
✨he takes care of her

We know I live for small town, but add in a Canadian setting and you have all of my attention.

I felt every emotion Wyatt & Tessa felt, they were so raw and in many ways, relatable. I loved the writing style and I loved the feeling of needing to know what would happen next.

I’m so happy to have been in their world, even if only for a short while. Their people and their world are a place I’d love to spend more time getting to know.

Oh I think I’m in love with Wyatt!!
This is an amazing book and amazing start to a new series by Bonnie.
The relationship between Wyatt and Tessa is made for the definition of rollercoaster. It will give you whiplash.
Tessa’s story will break your heart but Wyatt is there to put it back together whether you want him to or not.
Wyatt’s relationship with his daughter is so heartwarming.
I couldn’t put this book down and appreciate the honour of being given an ARC.
