B.O.S.S.: Blood of the Stone Sovereigns

She wears the crown in silence.
They call it peace.
She knows it’s a test.

For years, Chanti has ruled with precision and restraint, her authority unquestioned within the hidden supernatural world she protects... one bound by ancient laws, ancestral power, and blood-sealed alliances. But when tradition demands a binding meant to secure the future, masks are raised, wings are folded, and rival paranormal houses are forced into uneasy union.

Beneath polished rituals and carefully chosen words, something darker stirs.

Desire collides with duty.
Loyalty fractures under scrutiny.
And not every supernatural bond is meant to endure.

Supported by sisters who command spellwork, strategy, and shadow, Chanti steps into a ceremony where nothing is symbolic, everything is enforceable, and power is more than political—it is bloodbound.

Because in this world of ancient creatures, enforced unions, and dangerous desire, love is optional.
Obedience is expected.
And power is never given... it is taken.

The Stone Sovereign is watching.

BOSS (often interpreted as Blood of Sovereign Stone) is a fast-paced fantasy novella that quickly establishes itself as a true page-turner. From the opening chapters, the story pulls you into a richly populated world where power, legacy, and desire quietly shape every interaction.
One of the book’s strongest elements is its use of supernatural beings. Fans of Djinn and elves will find plenty to enjoy, along with some refreshing surprises. The inclusion of gargoyles, in particular, adds a unique flavor rarely seen in fantasy fiction and helps distinguish this story from more familiar genre paths.
The magic system feels deliberately fluid rather than rigid. Characters don’t fit neatly into expected archetypes, which makes their abilities feel more organic and tied to who they are rather than what “class” they might belong to. This is especially true for Kael, an arcane user whose blend of abilities makes him both intriguing and memorable.
The fae realm itself is diverse and textured, and the author thoughtfully incorporates modern, human elements into the narrative. These touches help ground the story emotionally, giving readers an easy point of connection even as the plot explores ancient bloodlines and supernatural forces.
While BOSS contains detailed adult scenes, they serve a larger purpose beyond sensuality. They highlight vulnerability, intimacy, and the ways power and desire intersect, reinforcing the novel’s mature tone.
At its heart, the story raises compelling questions about inheritance, control, and the cost of power. Motivations are often left intentionally ambiguous, encouraging readers to question why certain characters act as they do and what they truly stand to gain or lose. By the end, the novel leaves you curious rather than confused, eager to understand more about the forces at play and where the story is headed next.
Overall, BOSS is a quick, engaging read with strong worldbuilding, memorable characters, and enough mystery to linger in your thoughts well after the final page.

I devoured this book in a day- This book delivers fantasy where peace is merely a test of control. I enjoyed reading this book especially the bond the sisters has and how they look out for each other. The Blood of the Stone Sovereign is a powerful, slow-burn fantasy that blends ancient magic, tension and forbidden desire into a story that both feels fierce and haunting. The world-building was easy to picture and follow where the ancient laws, blood-sealed alliances and rival paranormal houses each step Chanti takes there are consequences.
Each sister brings their own form of power and together they form a circle of loyalty that feels unbreakable.

B.O.S.S: Blood of the Stone Sovereign pulls you into a powerful world of legacy, loyalty, and vengeance. From the opening prologue, the suffering of the sisters’ father makes it clear why revenge matters so deeply to this them. The stakes are emotional and personal, setting the tone for everything that follows.

Each of the three sisters brings her own strength to the story. Chanti dominates the first installment with a fierce, cutthroat energy that makes it clear she will not tolerate betrayal. Lorraine’s developing connection with Cael adds a compelling fated-mates thread I’m excited to see unfold, while the spark between Traniece and Eli hints at even more to come in the series.

What I enjoyed most is that these women are not passive characters waiting to be saved. They are powerful, strategic, and determined to protect their house and legacy at all costs.

If you enjoy supernatural stories with strong female leads, family loyalty, spice, and high stakes, this is definitely a series worth reading.
