The book I chose is realistic fiction called the “Yes! No. (Maybe….)”, which come from the series called “Tom Gates”, there are 14 books in total. This book is the 10th one.
The book is by Liz Pichon. A really famous british author, she is most known for “Tom Gates”. She has sold millions of copies (1000000 books in the UK and been translated into 36 languages). She has one of the world's best selling children's books in the United Kingdom.
The genre of the book is fiction//realistic/Adventure.
I chose to read this book because my mum said everyone was reading it and it had a high rating.
Tom’s mum is acting crazy! She taking everything out of the house for a boot sale. Tom’s is getting nervous when his mum want to get rid of his things!
Tom’s sister delia room is smelling really funky, and it’s locked. What is delia hiding?
Tom’s dad has given away a priceless jewel for only 1 pound! Will they ever get it back?!
After I finished reading this book, I felt 1 thing that’s it a good short read, the book is realistic of what happening and it includes good helpful details that help me imagine the setting.
My opinion of the book is that it's really good. It should be for 7- 10years old.

My rating for this book 7/10.

This reminds me of diary of a wimpy kid. It’s probably really funny for a younger audience. It’s been in my bookshelf for ages and now I’ve finally read it.

At the end of the book, Tom started talking about how was his mother's birthday. Even though somethings went wrong he said it was a very good birthday. Then Tom does his he and he is finally done with his fairy story, and then on the tv, he sees that there his mom's favorite program and his cat is also there.

I absolutely love it. The joy I had reading it was amazing. The illustrations. Chefs kiss. The characters also chefs kiss. The reason I loved it so much is that the enthusiasm the author put into the writing was next level. It was some of the best books I have read so far. This is my second Tom gates book so far and I keep asking for more. If anyone like comedy and enthusiasm books them I would really recommend. Hope you enjoy reading it 😊.

this book was good. i think this is a good book for when you are younger. this a very funny book. Some of the Tom Gates books are better then others i would say this one is problay one of the best books i have read from the sears. i would not say this is the best book ever because the could be a lot of improvments.

I found this book in a used books store, it costed only 50p so I decided to give it a try.
At the beginning I was not sure I liked the main character, nor his sister, they seemed two spoiled selfish brats (fighting over a packet of chocolate cereals), but I kept reading and I am glad I did because the book was very pleasant, funny, easy to read (I read it all in one go) and the layout and drawings were very well done.
Before writing the review I noticed on Goodreads the book is the eighth volume in a much longer series... I know I am probably quite a few years older than the intended audience, but I wouldn't mind to read more books of the series. I liked the world building and its characters.

A long and strenuous read that was undoubtedly worth it. Tom’s bond he forms with his Granny Mavis over their mutual crippling dementia was captivating. His parents finally succumbing to social services allowing Tom to receive adequate parenting for the first time in his life left me in awe. But without a shadow of a doubt what sold this book for me was Tom’s acceptance of the Truman Show-Esque reality that he has been living in, with him finally coming to terms with the concept of predeterminism and the existence of a higher power.

Tom Gates is a funny and silly book with these characters:

TOM: clumsy and silly
MARCUS: know-it-all and snobby
DELILA: mysterious and dull
MR FULLERMAN : boring and gloomy
AMY: friendly and kind

Some main parts are:

When Tom and his dad aimlessly sell Tom’s mum’s cat brooch
When Tom and his dad forget Tom’s mum’s birthday
When everyone finds out that Delila was secretly painting
When Tom changes business groups to make cupcakes
When Tom and his family have a boot sale
When the fossils take Tom to get some Plastic Cup albums

The book has lots of twists, turns and plots

I LOVED ITTTTT!!!!! Tom Gates is one of my favourite series of books. And I thought it was funny when they kept passing the old lady with the cat brooch! It was funny when they went into the chip shop or something and the FÒŠŠÍLŠ were in there and the old lady was waiting in the line, even I could spot her! But of course, Tom and Dad obviously won't spot her. So I think it's a great book! Big thanks for Liz for making these books. Gonna keep reading these

This book has been one of the best books I've loved to read. I read this when I was like in 5th grade, but have still loved it, I think I even own this book. You would only like this book if you like comedy and maybe even fiction. This book is awesome, to this day this is still like my favorite book, I've read it so many times and never got bored of it. If you do get to read this I hope you enjoy it!

This was a very fun read aloud. It had exciting dramas and cool graphics. It had cool teacher ideas for class 😂😂 which the students wanted to know if they could do. And, “Is this why you chose to read this book, Miss?” 😂😂
I really enjoyed it and there was lots of engagement from the class. I did read the kindle version so they could see the graphics and follow along.
