A triumphant return. A dark prophecy. An assassin awakened.Waydsyn Scot never doubted he would return home changed. The North hardened him, sharpened him, and forged him into a better man. At last, he is ready to reunite with his family—and with Alaina Salvate, the woman he loves.

But home is no longer safe.

From the shadows, a secret order unlocks a long-buried mystery—the path to resurrecting the Bloodheim. Their plan is already in motion, and it begins with blood.

When Morgar—the dragonling known as the Alderidon Assassin—emerges after years of silence, it becomes clear that something far greater has begun. This homecoming will be anything but welcome.

As loyalties fracture and destinies collide, Wayd will learn that growth, love, and honor may not be enough to stop what is coming. Because this time, the enemy doesn’t need an army.

They need the death of a bloodline.

The prophecy has been set in motion.

The question is not if someone will die—but who.

This book brings us to the ending of the prologues, and wow what a magnificent ending it is. This is the story of the return of the Alderedon Wolves led by none other than Waydsyn Scot, a prince in his own right, who left a spoilt brat, and returned a man of honour. He was awaited eagerly by his loving family, and he couldn't wait to return to Alaina, the woman he loved. However things had changed whilst he was away, Alaina had moved on, and the celebrations in his honour were ruined for him because of this. Apart from that an ancient order had arisen and the dragonling known as Morgar had returned, and he was out for blood. This order wanted to bring back the Bloodheim, tyrants who had ruled with cruelty before the Scots had put them to rest. This book is full of betrayals and divisiveness, those who were for the Scots and those against. When tragedy strikes Wayd vows he would do anything in his power to strike back at those who had devastated his life. This is a magnificent tale which I thoroughly enjoyed reading, of Templars and Seekers and humans who transformed into dragons through magic, and I cannot wait to read book 1 in the series which follows the life of Waydsyn Scot.
