In this excellent memoir, by Dr. Paul Bunge, former Olympia resident, Dr. Bunge reviews the early, scary days of Covid, and his work to make vaccination and testing available to people throughout South Puget Sound. His struggles and successes are told in a gripping narrative. At the end of the book he offers a prescription for healing our battered republic. In Judaism we have the concept of "tikkun olam", the idea that we are responsible for repairing the inherent flaws in our world. Dr. Bunge, a man of deep Christian faith and a man of science has done more for tikkun olam than just about anyone I've ever known. Finally, anyone who quotes the Bible and Albert Camus or Lily Tomlin on the opening page of a chapter has my respect! The book should be available at Browsers Books in Olympia.

Fascinating account of one doctor's journey through the three years of COVID-19. While the storytelling is accessible to nonprofessionals, the story will be of special interest to the many health professionals who fought the good fight against COVID.

Highly recommend.
