I have mentioned in my previous review that the more time I spend with this series the more I dislike Reagan, so I was all "Heck yeah!" when I learned that this episode is in Haley's POV.
Haley is going through a really tough time. As if the zombie apocalypse weren't enough, now she has to worry not only about herself surviving the whole ordeal but also to look out for the baby growing inside her and make sure that no matter what happens he'll live. Haley has gone through a huge transformation and character development from when we first met her and I really love that about her. She's proving to be a kickass character and one who should never be underestimated.
I also love reading about Nelson and Haley's swoon moments. They have gone through the most difficult situations together and prove every time just how far they're willing to go just to save each other.

This episode is full of mystery, suspense and an addition of new (and very suspicious) characters. I have a feeling something really terrible would happen. I cannot wait to read what happens next!

I received an e-arc to read and review.

Oh man! So, obviously the writing is great, or I wouldn't still be killing myself with the suspense in these episodes. Anyone reading my review that hasn't jumped on this band wagon... what the hell are you waiting for?!

Haley's point of view is always much different than Reagan's. This always surprises me since, duh, same author. Anyway... these guys really need a break. I can't wait to torture myself some more and see if they really get the helping hand they deserve, or if all hell breaks loose once again. I have to say, I feel a bit of foreboding for the next few episodes. Can they really ALL make it to the end? and what exactly is the end game?

This episode doesn't disappoint! This time we're in Haley's POV which I LOVED!! Of course crazy stuff happens.

I absolutely love Nelson and Haley together and we got to see their love for each other!! I totally felt for her this episode since I'm a mother and I just can't imagine being pregnant in that situation...it's bad when Nelsons worried!!

This episode was great and set up for the next episode which will be back in Reagan's POV!

Has it been 2 weeks yet?!?

This is an interesting series.
It has humour so things don't get too heavy but at the same time they do loose people and there is violence and killing.

The series is a long one and these main characters stories continue for 3 seasons.
There is also a spin off series that deals with the sister later.

There is little intimacy. There is touching, hugging and a few kisses but no sex until much later in the last season.
The main 2 characters have love interests but due to the nature of the start of the virus and the constant threat there are no intimate scenes until the end of season 3.

Each season ends on a HFN with an enemy thread running through the whole series.
Each episode either ends as HFN with a goal set for the next or at times an immediate threat will run across several episodes.
At the time I read these the whole series was on Amazon KU so it was possible to read one after the other or complete in a box set.
If you start reading and want to get to a HEA you will need to read the entire 3 seasons.
There is the immediate zombie threat which is constant but also the series deals with humanities reaction to survival.
Often a bigger threat is the desire for power between the surviving groups and these at times use lack of resources and scientific experimentation to control the main threats.
Later in the series there is a love triangle situation of sorts for the heroine.
It's not exactly a love triangle but there is a dividing force between the main couple due to the interest from another man.
There are no intimate details but there is a kissing scene with the other man, but at the time the main couple are not together.
The characters are all very different, they have their flaws but they are college age so when they make mistakes and sometimes they are stupid ones I put it down to youth and although they have learnt survival through experience the threat is constant so it's not easy for them to be sensible all the time.
There is a good bit of banter between the group and a great deal of humour.
There are some serious issues dealt with too and the main human enemy threat is pretty evil.

There is so much to learn about each character! I loved reading about Haley and Nelson! Just when you think things can't get worse for Regan and crew, they do. Stuffed into cages, separated and sold into slavery, all while trying to avoid becoming zombie food.

This is a sweet story about Haley, and how she is struggling at the end of her pregnancy. Not knowing exactly how far along she is, the due date is unknown, but one thing is sure, it is not time yet. Right at the moment Haley is sold into slavery she starts to feel a different kind of pain, one that she hasn't felt before, and one that she is not ready for. Thank goodness everyone has not lost their sight of humanity, and there is someone there to help her. Even with the help of this kind stranger, Haley has to wonder what has happened to all of her friends, including Page, who was sold to another slave owner.

This was a great continuation to the love and decay series. Now I would love to see the family re-united, and maybe something GOOD happen for them!

Word to the wise...don't read this book if you have recently given birth within the last couple of weeks or about to. Higginson will stress you the frick out! (I kid, I kid!) No seriously, it did get a bit tense and I was worried for Haley and Nelson for most of the book. How on earth are they going to make it past this one? Of course they have gotten by in the past by the skin of their teeth...but this time they seem to be lost cause. There doesn't seem to be any hope.

When we get one of these POVs, besides Reagan's, it is definitely a treat. Especially when it is Haley's. I enjoy that girl and wouldn't mind more from her. I love seeing her and Nelson's fierce devotion to one another. Boy, have they came a long way.

Once again, Higginson created a fantastic read that had me eagerly devouring the story. And once again, I am left wondering what is going to happen next. Who are these new characters and can they be trusted? 5 Give Me More Stars!

Episode 4 of Love and Decay 3 wasn't my favorite episode, but I absolutely mean it when I say to it: "it isn't you, it's me". I'm suffering from a major book hangover from a really amazing and deep book I read earlier, so it was a little hard to become too entranced with the world of zombies in my current state of mind. I was also a little disappointed that it was in Haley's POV, even though I've been curious to get inside her head about her current state of health. I'm just on a Hendrix kick lately and as sick as I'm getting of him and Reagan's stubborn lack of progress, I had big hopes that this episode would feature a Hendrix/Reagan makeout session. Oh well, there's always next episode... Which is bound to be as action packed as ever!

Goodnight this was another intense one. I feel like all my reviews say the same thing, but just when I think Rachel cannot make Reagan and company face anything worse, she goes and writes something like this!
The gang has been picked up by slave traders, and a Haley goes into labor. Her pronouncement that she is dying gets the American Missionaries a cheap deal on her and Nelson and Miller, and they get the heck out of there. But what about the rest? WHO KNOWS!?!?! WE have to wait until next week to find out! Page has been bought by someone, and the rest are still in their cages as far as we know.
The missionaries that bought them are medical missionaries and have a plan of their own. I can't wait to see where this new twist takes us!

This story is from Hailey's POV. She has gone into labor on the slave auction block, feels herself being swept away and passes out. She wakes up someplace new and strange with new and strange people.

As you know these are novellas so I won't tell you too much more. We see the incredible love between her and Nelson. And they both want to go back for the Parker Brothers and the whole family they love (this of course includes Reagan and Tyler).

New possibilities are raised by these new people. The only negative thing I have to say is that I have to wait a week or so for the next one. I want to just devour this whole thing in one sitting. Or fall asleep trying.

Rachel hit it out of the park with this third season so far.

This season seems to be moving so fast! First we meet Diego, are told that Matthias is on his way, pick up a new member to the group (Adela), find cannibals, and now we are at a slave market! Whew. Mexico is rockin’ with adventure.
I loved that this episode was told from Haley’s POV. It’s been to long! We haven’t heard her voice in a while, even though she seemed a lot different this time but I will chalk that up to the pregnancy.
I love to see Haley and Nelson together. Can’t wait for the next episode, so much is happening right now!
PS. Hopefully we will see more POV’s this season cas I love it!

This is the third time we have been put into Haley's mind and I am still not sure if I really like it or not. I mean we still get some wonderful writing from Rachel, but I am really freaking out when this happens because that whole group isn't together in this. It kind of take me away from the story line which I find really odd seeing how I love other books where they go between people. Oh well I still loved it and by love it I mean that once again I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. The normal for these stories.

I love when the POV switchs! It gives us a chance to get to know the characters a little better and see things in a way you maybe wouldn't have before.

This episode is from Haley's POV. This poor girl is just trying to survive the zombie's and now she is PREGNANT. I cannot even imagine. I love Haley. She is like the mother hen of them all. Her love for everyone is the group is so fierce. And while things are NOT looking good for the gang right now Haley is every optimistic, putting one foot in front of the other trying to get to the zombie-free promised land!

I enjoyed Hayley's POV last time and I really did again. My heart went out to her, what she went through in the episode was incredible. Her fight and hope for life was so strong even as the pain of going into labor and having men want to kill her overtook her over and over Reagan's screams to her as she was loaded onto the truck probably motivated her more. She wasn't just living for herself anymore.
These new characters are going to be an interesting development. But for now, they NEED to get the family back and find Page!

I LOVED being able to be back inside Haley's head. I craved details about her pregnancy and how she was dealing with everything. Rachel did not disappoint when she delivered this episode!

But, hold on to your hats and glasses people because this one if CHUCK FULL of twists and turns! All I will tell you is that Haley, Nelson, Miller, and Page are involved!

Get moving, what are you waiting for?!?! Go get this episode; heck, get every single thing Rachel has ever written! You will be happy you did so!

Ok so this episode had me so close to tears (ok maybe a few tears) because I didn't want what was about to happen to happen, oh wait I said that in the last one too!!! I love the different POV especially because it made remember how much I love Haley and Nelson. I'm so excited to see where Rachel is going to go as this story continues but I'm just not sure my heart can handle it. :) They just continue to get more and more amazing!

Have to read this zombie series it's epic. I ignored the call of Spain's sea and sand to read this brilliant series. Kindle one click made me read the entire series while on holidays in Spain. An epic adventure filled with lust, love, blood, kisses, zombies, action, suspense, intrigue, fear and resilience.

Great new episode with some possible hope for the future, if they can be trusted.

Why does Rachel Higginson have to keep picking on poor Page? She's just a child! I won't give up hope ;)

Another successful episode! Intense all the way...I loved getting Haley's POV, but it's hard not knowing what is going on with the rest of the gang.

I am so anxious to see what happens next!!

I love this series

I really wish we would get more of Tyler's and Hailey's perspective. I like Reagan, but its nice to know what is going personally with each of them.
