Since the beginning of time, dogs have fought with cats and cats have chased mice. But HAS it been that way since the beginning of time? This folktale, common to many lands, tells a different story. It tells of three friends -- a dog, a cat, and a mouse -- in search of a magic ring. Rivalry develops between the friends when the ring is found. This becomes the basis for the explanation of the age-old conflict which continues to this day.
