After the Storm

Rate this book
He will do anything to make amends... But how can she forgive him when she can't even remember him?

Liam did not realize how serious Winter's injuries were after her accident. He was beside himself with grief when she fell unconscious and wouldn't wake up.
After a minor coma, Winter finally wakes up to a world she can partially see — and she has no clue why. She does not remember her eye surgery, and she has no idea who Liam is. In fact, she does not remember the last three years of her life. She even insists on being called Helen.

Liam feels lucky that Helen doesn't remember his recently exposed lies — he feels like he has been given a second chance to make things right. But without her memories of the horrible things that happened to her, Helen seems like a different person and Liam finds himself struggling to connect with her. Can he cope with the guilt of the harm that he's caused her?

And can he make a headstrong and carefree Helen fall in love with him all over again?

This was an okay read in the series, but I'm glad it was back to they're normal length. The last one dragged quite badly in areas for me, but this one managed to keep my interest just enough throughout that it didn't drag.

The ending to this one was nice, although it seems a bit silly to do it in this one, considering there's a book five.

Overall, An okay read.

Great book

This is a great continuation in the series. I have been reading the series in the way the author wanted it done (in the back of the Kindle). It's a great way to read these books. It intertwines the two sets of books...just a fyi the books are phenomenal too.

Before I started reading "Clarity 4", I was worried. For me, "Clarity 3" had such a strong ending that I didn't see how another installment in the series wouldn't weaken that. But I was wrong, so damn wrong.

"Clarity 4" not only offered more closure, but allowed me to understand some characters and their motivation better.
It was less action driven and more focused on the characters and with that gave me the opportunity to fall in love with them some more.

Helen was quite a surprise. Having lost the memory of the past three years after she crashed her car, she isn't the young woman haunted by a tragic past anymore. Instead, she has the fire and the spark she used to have before everything fell apart. It was so different to get to know her without that edge of bitterness and cynicism that she carried with her ever since evil and darkness stepped into her life.
She is opinionated, stubborn and strong-willed, not letting anyone put pressure on her. She has a wild and uninhibited streak that allows her to jump feet first into a new situation. But she's still also very sweet and caring, thoughtful and considerate. And even though she doesn't remember him, she's smitten with Liam. But unlike the Helen we met in the past three books, she doesn't trust him blindly (no pun intended) and notices that he's hiding things. She stands up for herself and demands to be let in, while still being capable of forgiving him.

And there is quite a bit forgiving to be done for the things that Liam did and kept from her. He's not the white knight in shining armor that we met in the previous installments. There are some dark spots on that armor of his and it takes most of this book to find out what demons he's haunted by.
But this doesn't make him any less appealing. Quite the opposite is the case. It adds a few layers to his personality, making him more multidimensional, less perfect and more real.
It makes it easier to forgive the lying or the pushing he does with Helen and in the end you'll just want to try and cheer him up and give him a hug to ease the pain he has always carried with him.
I really enjoyed seeing he had a darker, less shiny and polished side.

A lot of the things we only got glimpses off in the "Clarity" spin-off, the "End of Eternity" series, are now explained and allow for a full picture. The story was great and the plot kept me hooked all the way through.
Sure, there was a scene or two that wasn't the most realistic, but that's the good thing about fiction - it doesn't have to be.

One more thing that I loved about this story was David, only a supporting character, he was so perfectly broken, cynical and sweet. I wish there'd be a book or even a series about him.

"Clarity 4" was the perfect conclusion to an amazing series.

5 it's hard-to-say-goodbye stars.

After finishing this book and this series I'm sitting here like

Because honestly I loved this series like crazy. I read all of it today over a total of about 5 hours, I'd guess. Book 4 was sort of disappointing but I still liked it. I wanted it to be longer and to go into detail about their wedding and the discovery of pregnancy and the birth of the children...If you could write some kind of novella about it I would just DIE! And buy it right away.

Awesome series with a few issues that I think have been repeated in enough reviews so I won't pour more salt in that wound. Because honestly the "issues" in this series were small enough for me that they didn't ruin my overall enjoyment of the books <3

I've been reading something called the Clarity Series by Loretta Lost. I like every book in this series until the last one.
I give the last book a 2/10. Why? In the book before this one the main character Helen over hears something horrible and decides to run away, she starts driving away with her vision leaving her, during a storm. With a puppy in the passengers seat. She crashes into a tree, because shes an idiot, and almost let herself die till her boyfriend came to tje rescue. Somehow, her crashing her car into a tree if his fault...because he upset her. Okay. So the last book in the series, book 5, Helen has her boyfriend, Liams, best friend Owen drug Liam so she can steal his DNA against his wishes because she was scared what might go wrong if they had kids. She kept this secret from him for weeks, while still planning to marry Liam. (Oh yeah, Liam proposed to her in book 4) so she finds out that the sister Liam thought he killed (long story) was alive. So, behind his back, she invites his sister to their wedding. It all comes out how Helen found his sister. She did the test for her own selfish reasons, ignoring his reservations and concerns. So Liam leaves to go confront his parents and he feels betrayed by Helen. (No shit). Long story short, in the end, everything Helen did is justified by others, treating Liam as if he is a child who's wants do not matter AND that its his fault that she drove her dumbass into a tree. So his sister who claims to have forgiven him...calls him an asshole, says hes not good enough for Helen, and says she'd only put up with him because hes family and she wants a relationship with their baby. (Oh yeah Helens pregnant now). Theres other stupid shit in this book that turned me off from the series and the other spin offs completely. But I could not take this blatent double standard bullshit. As if Helen is some fragile snow flake who can blame anyone else but herself for why she smashed her car into a tree. She almost died! Another thing! This book was so fucking rushed at the end, and they tried to throw in a shitty love triangle in 3/4s of the way through. She treats stealing his DNA withought his concent like a spy mission. Just...by far the most disappointing ending to a good series I've ever had the misfortune to read. In fact, fuck it, 1/10.

After reading this book it showed the books in this series along with the spin off series in the order you "should" read them. Not that you have to, but it could save some spoilers. So I will start move on to Eternity next. But over all, the 4th book was again good. I'm totally invested in this whole story with Helen and Liam. I can't wait to find out the things I don't quiet know yet and if they have a happy ending.

rather than try putting books in a 'not interested' folder, I'm going to claim I read them and give a low rating. Putting in not interested, the algorithm seems to think I like the book.

Helen has been in a major accident. After overhearing that her father paid her boyfriend Liam to date her, she drove her car off a cliff, sustaining brain damage, giving her amnesia... she can not remember the last three years. It was so heartwarming to watch Helen and Liam remember the great love they have had and still have.... and it was so heartbreaking to find out more about Liam and what he went through as a child. I literally was sobbing as I we meet his parents.

This was an amazing conclusion to a wonderful series. I read the Eternity series (featuring Helen's sister Carmen) after Clarity 3, then I came back to read Clarity 4. This seems like the perfect order to me... I saw bits and pieces of Carmen's story in Clarity 4, which was really awesome.

Loretta Lost has a way with character development that makes me feel like I know them personally. Truly an Artist with words!

I think Clarity 4 really wrapped things up beautifully. A++++ (still off to read Clarity 5 though..... I'm addicted to her books!)

This is the 4th book in this series about Helen & Liam. After crashing her car into a tree during a storm, Helen is really hurt but Liam manages to find her by using the gps that's in their little dog snowball. When Helen finally wakes up at the hospital she has lost some memories and she thinks its 3 years before. Helen doesn't even remember who Liam is until he & her family tell her that he is her boyfriend. Helen & Liam go to the cabin that she purchased so she can recuperate from her injuries. Liam has a surprise for Helen when they get there he proposes to her but she tells him to give her time to get to know him again. They both meet a neighbor name David and he is a divorced painter which they become good friends with. When they decide to go back to see her family Liam can't seem to let her see them cause he's afraid that her dad will convince her to leave him. After watching the sunset Helen tells Liam that she wants to meet his parents or she won't marry him, Liam gets upset but he takes her to see them and he wind up almost killing his dad. After leaving his parents apartment Liam tells her that she shouldnt be with him but Helen decides that she will marry him. The only thing I didnt like about this book is that after she agrees to marry him lt skips so much, it's a dacade later & they are married already with kids. I can't wait to read book 5 hopefully it say what happens in that decade.

"It was my greed. My insatiable ambition and list for material things I didn't need. I let it control me. I can only pray that my actions haven't caused me to lose the only woman I have ever loved."

Loretta is a goddess and her words are worth more than diamonds. Clarity is such an amazing series!

Clarity, book 4, picks up right where book 3 leaves off. Helen is taken to the hospital after the crash. Her memory of the last 3 years is gone, and she has no idea who Liam is, no memory of the rape, and she has no clue that she is an author. Helen has not been the same after waking up from her accident. She slowly has to get to know Liam again and in the process, she learns things about him that she didn't know before. What is Liam hiding? Is Helen changing? Can she ever forgive Liam?

My emotions were everywhere in this book! Helen was really pushing Liam to do things he was not comfortable doing. I really felt for Liam and it made me love him even more! Loretta's characters are so complex and well developed. I am so attached to them all and I really enjoy reading about them. Loretta's writing is so magical that it doesn't even feel like I am reading the book! I feel like I am living in the pages along with Helen and Liam. They are my friends and I am theirs!

I can't wait to read the last book in the Clarity series. I am almost tempted not to read it though.. I don't want this series to be over. Yes, this series is THAT good!

Cute, cute, cute! A bit rushed in some places but I am a clarity fan and I first did not know that there was a fourth book, I mentioned the clarity series to a friend of mine and she started to read the series and then told me she was reading book 4, and I was like WHAT! There is no book 4 I thought it was an open ending, well my mistake so I quickly ordered it and read it in a couple of houres and I m pleased with the happy ending, I was surprised about the Owen thingy but happy it turned out alright. Will be reading her sisters story very soon. And I have to say Liam and Helen forever *love*

VERY Disappointing

While it was nice to read about how things turned out, this book was a HUGE waste of money and very disappointing. I read it in just over an hour. The impression I got was that the author was tired of this series and just wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. There were major time gaps in between events and it felt very rushed.

I pre ordered this because I was so excited to find out what happens and this just was a big let down. I don't think I will ever pre order a book again.

Terrible book and if I could give zero stars, I would.

Clarity 4

The fourth book in the Clarity series tries to explain so much and as a result isn't so believable. The introduction of David without any love complication when Winter is so distrusting of Liam is out of character. Why bring him in at all? Then there's all the drama with Carmen. How is it a woman can have a car accident and the baby is fine, but Carmen finds her dead rapist husband, who she hates/ loves and miscarries? Wouldn't she be secretly relieved? I don't think she would jump in to a relationship with Owen. This book left too much unclear.

This is my second reading of this book!
I totally enjoyed the whole series and loved both Liam and Winter! Owen was a fabulous side character! The only thing I have a problem with is the whole Grayson forgiveness thung and then him subsequently doing what he did next!! Also I thought what her father done was totally wrong too! When I read it first time around I thought she told her family who and what was really responsible for her leaving but I must have remembered it wrong!

I would love to read Carmen's story but unfortunately that isn't in Kindle Unlimited!

meh it's alright

Ok the book isn't horrible but I felt like it just got cheesier the more it went on. And some of the things that happened were like really! In real life that would never happen and some of the things they did?? Come on surgeries at home do not happen and nudity with a stranger you just meet only once. Seriously! But again it wasn't horrible just a little cheesy.

Liam is rushing Helen to the hospital after her bad accident, She's barely breathing. When she wakes up she remembers her sister but, doesn't know Liam or Owen. When Liam asks her to open her eyes she tells him she's blind. So when she does she's amazed. Sadly she can't remember the last three years. So Liam brings her to her cottage to relax and try to remember. If she does will she leave Liam like she did at the end of the third book? Great read.

Satisfying conclusion

Not as punchy as the other three. It was interesting reading Liam's POV. I'm glad the author flipped to Helen's POV too. It's just not the story without being in Helen's mind. Some amazing stuff happened in this novel and some boring cliche stuff too. It was an entertaining ride though. At least Helen got the ending she deserved. Not as traumatic as the other novels, which is what I loved. Helen still surprised me at every turn.

Choose a different book or series

These were so poorly written. The story line was completely ridiculous. Unfortunately, I feel the need to finish any book that I start so I did finish this whole series (which only took me about a day). I found myself rolling my eyes on a regular basis as the author would just randomly introduce new plot twists into the story. I just spent several hours reading a bad series. I'll never get that time back.

Great ending

I loved this installment of the clarity series. This was such a great book to end Helen and liams story. You finally get closure. And the way Loretta writes into the future is amazing. I highly recommend this book to any one who has read the first three books. This series is one of my favorites.

I just love Loretta Lost!

There is much to ponder through this whole series. I love learning while being entertained. And the ending while fantastic still left me with a final caveat. I hated to have it end. Maybe Loretta will have a series continuing and highlighting David's future.

The book was short. It clears up so much. I cried when Liam went to see his parents. His father was mean. Befriending the man David was strange. I am glad Liam finally decides to tell the truth. keeping secrets never gets you anywhere. Great story to read!
