Arranged Husband

I don’t believe in fate.

I believe in land. Legacy. And protecting what’s mine.

I’m a billionaire rancher with dirt on my boots, a sharp tongue, and no patience for men who think power gives them ownership.

She’s brilliant. Unyielding. All polished control—until you look close enough to see what she’s been carrying on her own.

Her future is being negotiated behind closed doors and I don’t like the terms.

She needs an exit plan, so I make her one.

A marriage of convenience.

Easy. Temporary. Clean.

It’s enough to save her from being traded like an asset.

Except pretending she’s mine starts to feel dangerously right.

Shared space turns into wicked nights.

And the woman who never asked to be saved becomes the only thing I won’t walk away from.

I never planned on being anyone’s husband.

But if claiming her is the only way to give her a future she actually wants?

I’ll say those vows without hesitation.

Charlotte Westwood, youngest child of six and the only girl, is faced with her father’s dictate that she wed Gregory Van Allen, son of an English viscount. Having tried her whole life for her father to notice her for herself, she meets her potential groom, but it takes only a moment for her to understand that she would be nothing more than a trophy wife controlled by a condescending egomaniac. Thus, she accepts the offer of Trent Shepard, her brother’s best friend, to take her to his Texas ranch until her brothers can develop a plan to derail their father’s intention. It it will also help Trent because his father threatens to give his prized cattle ranch to his sister if he doesn’t clean up his personal social life. Thus they strike a deal for a fake relationship; however, the deal turns into a Las Vegas marriage to put an end to any further pressure by her father.

What transpires next takes readers on a wild ride featuring high stakes corporate dynasties, a slimy, lying, blackmailing suitor determined to own a sweet, honest, charitable angel, a cattle rancher who will stop at nothing to protect his wife, and a host of family members and friends who witness the chaos. By the time I turned the last page of this incredibly complex, compelling story, I felt like I had just completed a marathon. Congratulations to Ali Parker for her continued originality, creativity, and dedication to producing novels that resonate with so many lovers of her works.

I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.

Arranged Husband delivers exactly the kind of high-stakes romance Ali Parker does best—family power plays, forced proximity, and a fake relationship that refuses to stay fake.

Charlotte Westwood has spent her life trying to matter in a family that treats her more like an asset than a daughter. When her father attempts to trade her future for social prestige through an arranged marriage, Charlotte makes a bold escape with the help of Trent Shepard, her brother’s loyal best friend. What begins as a strategic solution quickly spirals into a marriage neither of them planned—but both may need more than they expected.

Set against the contrast of corporate empires and a Texas cattle ranch, this story is packed with tension, emotional depth, and nonstop drama. Trent is fiercely protective yet deeply guarded, while Charlotte’s quiet strength makes her impossible not to root for. Their chemistry is undeniable, but past wounds and outside threats constantly test their fragile arrangement.

Ali Parker weaves together romance, danger, family loyalty, and emotional growth into a fast-paced and addictive read. Though this is the fifth book in the Brothers Inheritance series, it stands confidently on its own while still rewarding longtime fans with familiar connections. With a satisfying HEA, memorable characters, and plenty of twists along the way, Arranged Husband is a compelling addition to the series and a must-read for fans of dramatic, emotionally charged romance.

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

This story hits the ground running with high emotional stakes and never lets up. Charlotte Westwood is a heroine you immediately root for—the overlooked youngest child, the only daughter, and a woman who has spent her life trying to earn her father’s approval. When she’s pushed toward an arranged marriage with a cold, controlling English suitor, her quiet strength and resolve shine through.

Enter Trent Shepard: Texas rancher, brother’s best friend, and exactly the kind of hero you want in a fake-relationship-turned-real romance. Their deal is mutually beneficial, believable, and deliciously tense. What starts as a temporary escape quickly escalates into a Vegas marriage that raises the stakes in all the best ways.

The contrast between Charlotte’s manipulative, power-hungry would-be fiancé and Trent’s steady, protective presence is incredibly satisfying. Trent doesn’t try to own or control Charlotte—he backs her, defends her, and gives her space to become fully herself. Watching their relationship evolve from convenience to trust to genuine love is heartfelt and rewarding.

Add in corporate intrigue, blackmail, family drama, and a rancher who will burn the world down to protect his wife, and you’ve got a romance that delivers both excitement and emotional payoff. The supporting cast only adds to the chaos and charm.

This is the fifth book in the Brothers Inheritance Series but can be read as a standalone. You will recognize some interconnecting characters from some of the other books. Charlotte was a Westwood and they are all about world financial dominance. She was devastated that her father was determined to marry her off to a British aristocrat before he would release her inheritance. She'd only known him for fourteen boring minutes. Her older brother came up with a scheme to rescue her from a potentially disastrous arranged marriage with an evil man. She talked his best friend, Trent, into having a fake engagement/marriage with Charlotte. An emotional roller coaster that is hard to put down. Their chemistry was strong but insecurities and previous baggage keeps getting in the way of their happiness. What happens when fake starts to feel real? Plenty of drama from an evil ex and eventually an HEA and no cliffhanger. Great characters, a page turning story line and a wonderful read. A great addition to the series. I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This was a GREAT book with an unexpected twist. Usually it's the sons that the father is trying to marry off in an arranged marriage so they can get their inheritance and run the family business. But in this case Charlotte Westwood, the only daughter and 25 years old was being set up and not her single brothers which was a surprise to everyone. Her father had chosen Gregory, A British aristocrat that she had only met for 14 minutes and had nothing in common with. Then there is Trent Shepard, billionaire Texas cowboy and Chalotte's brothers best friend who steps in and takes Charlotte to his ranch in Texas to give her some space from her father and the marriage situation. These two have fabulous chemistry but with all the family dynamics can they really be together and will Charlotte have to end up with Gregory and move to England? This is a story that you won't/can't put down. It is steamy, funny, full of emotions that will have you reaching for the tissues and loving the final outcome!!!! Another GREAT story by Ali!!! LOVED this book!

Thoroughly enjoyed this seemingly mismatched, but adorable couple. Charlotte has dreams of volunteering, but wants more in her life. Her father's and brothers treat her more like a precious doll than she would like. Her father realizes that his brother had great luck in arranging marriages for his 4 boys, so he decides it's time for a match for Charlotte. Unfortunately, the man he selects is a weasel! Enter Trent, a billionaire rancher from Texas, who happened to grow up with Charlotte's brothers. Could the handsome cowboy be the answer to their problem?
What follows is a sometimes funny, sometimes steamy, romance that the author does an amazingly good job at getting the reader completely invested in these two characters. I feel like parts of the ending went a little to quick and easy, and could have been drawn out a little longer, but it didn't take away from the story at all. Great job,as always!

Charlotte and Trent story is one that will stay with you and I guarantee you will not be able to put down! Charlotte being the only girl of the family is being forced to marry the son of one of her father's friend. However, her brothers are trying to protect her from this despicable person by asking their BFF Trent to take her to Texas to his family ranch. Trent is a protector, a friend and his master at hiding his feelings for Charlotte. On the other hand Charlotte feels unseen, forgotten by her family and the attention she is getting from Trent is quite different and heartwarming to her. As her father is preparing an arranged marriage for her, her brothers and Trent will do everything in their power to stop this farce. You see from the start that these two belong together, but are they willing to put their hearts on the line..... Spicy, fun and when the fake dating becomes real is quite a turn around. Brave Ali Parker you did it again!

This is the fifth book in the series. The Westwood boys have all been married off, or should we say forced into arranged relationships or lose their place in the company. Now the father seems occupied on finding someone for his only daughter Charlotte. Unfortunately, he is not offering her a place in the company, but the ability to access her inheritance, which is rightly hers from her grandfather. Her father has other ideas so that the Westwood name and status can be enshrined forever in the world. Enter the Viscount.... He is her father’s mandatory choice for her to marry. He is anything but perfect. Charlotte is not being heard by her dad. Her brother realizes the need to help her with this predicament. He enlists one of his best friends to help. Trent is a billionaire cowboy rancher...not your typical high visibility A-lister in the financial world. The story is a wonderful, entertaining read that takes you through the ups and downs of Charlotte’s journey.

What a mess for Charlotte, I felt for her, her brothers were nothing short of useless is ensuring she was looked after but I thought her father was just the worst. An arranged marriage to a titled Brit, never mind that his history of manipulating and fleecing women was the reason why he was in the US looking for his next victim, what on earth was her father thinking? I’m still annoyed with him now!
Saviour came in the form of Trent, but I don’t think he was ever going to be allowed to forget the ‘mistletoe kiss’ or lack of it. He was a strong character and it was only when he was pushed to breaking point that he solved the issue with the Brit. Never mess with a man who knows about pigs!
An enjoyable read which was helped by Trent’s mum’s character, especially when Charlotte found out she knew her mum.
A great fun read, despite the frustrating men!

The latest in the arranged marriage/ Westwood family series. You can read this as a stand alone, but as it features characters from the other books it is more enjoyable when read as part of the series. This one has a different twist! Charlotte Westwood has become used to being ignored, or just invisible to the rest of her family. Despite having her own inheritance, including a stake in the family business neither her brothers or their father actually expect her to get involved at work, which allows her time to sneak funds to her pet charities.
Until her father decides to introduce her to Gregory who he deems to be suitable husband material, regardless of her feelings about Gregory, or the situation, so she enlists her brother, and his best friend to help out!
A thoroughly enjoyable story, which I received as an ARC.

Thank you so much Ali, brilliant book, way to start the new year off with a bang! Charlotte and Trent make an adoring couple, an extraordinary read! Charlotte is the Chicago cousins of the west coast Westwoods! Trent has to be the most remarkable man; he's smart, protective and so hung up on Charlotte. He had a tragic relationship 10 yrs ago, but he couldn't stop the genuine feelings he has for Charlotte. She's so insecure, always felt like the invisible child in her family after her mother passed away. He is a warm and loving man for her, hope she'll give him the chance. It wasn't the end of the Westwood's after all!

Charlotte is the baby of the Westwood Chicago family and thought she had lots of time before she was forced to marry as her older brothers were all single. Little did she know her father was scheming for her to marry an a**hole of an aristocrat from England. She would have to move away from her family. Her brothers, especially her eldest brother, was not cool with that so he asked his best friend also from old money though from Texas to help him out. As things progress their fake dating becomes more real, and Trent does not like what her father is doing to Charlotte. This is an atypical Arranged marriage and a really good read.

Charolette is the only girl of the 6 Westwood children and her father says it’s her turn to get married. But the man he has picked out for her isn’t her cup of tea. She would also be moving away from her family and that is not what she wants to do.
Trent Shephard is a hot billionaire rancher from Texas and her brother Alex’s best friend. When her friend fixes her up on a blind date with Trent, they seem to hit it off. What will he think when he hears how her father is trying to get her to marry this guy, she wants no part of? Will he step up to the plate and offer help?
This is one is a book that once you start you won’t put down. I loved Charlotte and Trent’s story and I highly recommend it. I received an arc copy of this book and I am freely leaving this review.

Arranged Husband, book five in the Billionaires Inheritance Arrangement series follows the youngest Westwood sibling, Charlotte Westwood and her brother’s best friend, billionaire rancher, Trent Shepard. When Charlotte’s father decides that Charlotte needs to be married, he tries to force her to marry Gregory Van Allen, an English viscount who is looking for more of a trophy wife, a submissive woman who he can control, not an actual wife. Turning to her brothers for help, Trent steps in and offers to take Charlotte to his cattle ranch in Texas. Of course, Trent could also use Charlotte’s help with his own father, so when he offers her a deal to marry her to stop her father while helping his own father see that he’s settled down and stop him from taking the ranch from Trent.

In most instances when you pick up a book and it refers to an arranged marriage you automatically think, here it is again BUT not this time - The Westwood patriarch decides that is time for his daughter to marry - and sets his eyes on a suitor that has an aristocratic title - but he is a nasty piece of work. Charlotte's brothers discover his actual character and ask Trent (Alex's friend) to offer himself as an alternative choice as husband. It gets turned down and Trent and Charlotte elope - then the fun starts. Relationships are ripped apart and then carefully put back together, to get to the happily ever after.

I loved Trent and Charlotte’s story! We met Trent as Sadie’s brother in Bad Boy Husband and it was nice to see him get the HEA he deserves. This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and it was hard to put down. I thought the plot and characters were well developed and I loved the way things came together in the end. I also like that it was Trent and Charlotte together against obstacles to reach their HEA with no third act breakup. The spicy scenes were a perfect enhancement to the story without taking attention away from the storyline.

Absolutely loved this read. It grabs you and keeps you reading til the end. This is the fifth book in the series. The Westwood brothers have all been forced into arranged relationships. If they refused, they would lose their place in the company. Now onto the daughter, Charlotte. Unfortunately, if she wants to access her inheritance, which did t come from her miserable excuse for a father either way, he decides who and when. He’s chosen the Viscount. Not because he’s the right chose for his daughter but it’s what he can get out of. I hate this guy. Her brother tries to help her and asks his friend, a billionaire, Trent to help. Get’s good

This is book 5 in a series, but you definitely can read it as a stand alone. You have Charlotte, whose father has arranged a terrible match a marriage to a really terrible man. He just wants what he can get from her, her inheritance. In comes handsome Trent, best friend to her older brothers, with some baggage of his own. He steps in to save her from this arranged marriage and offers to marry her himself. What starts off as a an agreement to save her turns into a wonderful, hilarious love story. This is Book 5 in the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is a heartfelt romance between Charlotte and Trent. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an interesting read. What starts out as a fake relationship turns into something more. It is a love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. An emotional page turner.

Trent Shepherd and Charlotte Westwood were great characters in a fantastic book. Trent is the cowboy heir to an enormous ranch outside of Dallas. His business brings him to Chicago, where his life-long friends Alex and Nate Westwood have their investment business. Their baby sister Charlotte needs saving from a disastrous arranged marriage, so they recruit Trent to help. It's a lovely tale with a wonderful HEA that everyone will love reading.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a new book in this series, and that the location got moved to Chicago.
It was quite interesting to meet Trent again, and be introduced to a new set of Westwoods.
I didn't realize how much depth Trent had to his story and personality, and what a backstory he had!
Meeting Charlotte - her personality was the perfect match for Trent.
Now I can't wait to meet the rest of Charlotte's family!

Absolutely loved Trent and Charlotte in this book In fact, so far out of the series, this one is my favorite. The storyline sucks you in from the first page and what you almost feel as if you are right there with the Westwood family. When you put these two together you feel the chemistry ooze off the page which makes the story that much better. Enjoy
