This is my absolute favorite yoga book. I used it extensively when I taught yoga classes at my university, and it is an indispensable resource for both beginners and advanced practitioners. It gives detailed descriptions of the asanas as well as excellent photographs. I can't stand yoga books with drawings of the poses, because it's just not as effective in showing the alignment as a photograph. This book has great photos. Sequences for various purposes are included in the back, which is very helpful when you're trying to construct your own sequence.
