A very underwhelming examination from Curtis- perhaps because it was so early? The work has great research, but presents it haphazardly, and Curtis seems to overestimate my fascination with Bulgakov's love for Moliere- certainly not 70 pgs. of the 200 page critical work should be dedicated to that. Even his Pushkin ravings go on too long- but his information is sound, and I appreciated reading the work.
