Molly showed up for a wedding. Unfortunately, it was not the wedding she was invited to. One wrong chapel, one unfortunate “guest” sign, and one perfectly timed entrance later, Molly is standing in the back of a church while her ex-boyfriend stares at her from the altar like the universe has a sick sense of humor. Oliver is older, hotter, and still looking at her like she was everything he wanted and never thought he'd lose. The problem is, he is not just getting married. He is getting married to Paula. Paula is polished, petty, and smiling like she already won. She is also the kind of bride who can turn a single glance into a full-blown scandal, and she is not about to let some frosting-covered bakery owner ruin her perfect day. Molly wants to run. Oliver wants answers. Their friends want front-row seats. And the town is about to witness the messiest second-chance love story of Molly’s life. Because sometimes closure is overrated. Sometimes you crash the wedding. And sometimes the love you tried to bury shows up in a suit, looks you in the eye, and dares you to fight for it. Wedding Crasher is a spicy romantic comedy packed with small-town chaos, sharp banter, jealous sabotage, best-friend antics, and a second chance that refuses to behave.
This book was everything. Karma put Molly at that church. I swear it did lol. I felt Molly standing there at the entrance, and omg was I geeking for that woman. But it was Oliver that got me. Standing there ready to meet Paula, but looking at Molly like she was his only one…talk about awkward. I loved this story so much. Molly and Oliver made me laugh, had my heart, I was all in it for them. This was a blast to read. I’ve never read this author before, but I’ll definitely be running out to grab her books. It was just so good!
For me, a well-written book is one where I forget that it was written. Where I get so lost in the story and caught up in the characters that I forget that this didn't just appear out of thin air, and that it actually came from a human's mind. Like a good movie that you get immersed in, while forgetting those were actors.
This book was like that for me.
Kate Rozy pulls you in with her fully three-dimensional characters and laugh-out-loud humour, but keeps you with the wild ride plot. If life had allowed, I would've devoured this in one sitting.
Kate Rozy is one of my top favorite quick read authors! I absolutely fell in love with this book and with Oliver and Molly. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Molly and Oliver fell deeply in love in college but there was one person always trying to ruin Oliver's happiness. She succeeded. 2 years later Molly finds her self entering the wrong wedding.
The past finally catches up and all chaos breaks loose. The hurt, the pain, the love it all collides together.
Molly is a sweet, caring, beautiful character. Showing up for kids who don't have that one person to do it. She is funny and full of life.
Oliver is an amazing person. But he is a victim and it tears him apart. He grows into the man he needs to be because he puts in the work.
You want a second chance, chaotic, beautiful, messy story this book gives it to you!
When I first started this look I thought it would only be 2 POVs but it turned into 4 at some points to give us the full story of what was happening.
This book is about 2 people who were together in college & broke up, however found each other later on in life & that second chances are possible. You never know when it’s going to happen & for these two it happened. The story was amazing to watch unfold.
I received this book from the author for an ARC read, I was so excited to read a book about weddings because I am in my bridal era currently. Unfortunately I was disappointed. the timeline was hard to follow and honestly I just wasn't able to immerse myself in this book. I DNF this story.
This book is what happens when unresolved feelings, terrible timing, and a wedding full of witnesses collide… and honestly? I ate it up.
Wedding Crasher by Kate Rozy throws you straight into peak chaos: Molly accidentally ends up at the wrong wedding… only to realise the groom is Oliver - the man she absolutely did NOT expect to see again. And by 'not expect', I mean the kind of ex where the emotional damage is still simmering under the surface.
From that moment the entire story is basically a masterclass in second-chance tension, messy feelings, and small-town drama where EVERYONE is watching the fallout.
Molly is trying to run from the past and rebuild her life. Oliver? He’s the kind of man who looks at her like she’s still the centre of his universe… which is slightly inconvenient considering he’s literally at the altar when things implode. The absolute delicious chaos of this premise is what hooked me.
This book thrives on: • second-chance romance • awkward wedding drama • that 'we have unfinished business and everyone knows it' tension • characters who are messy in a very human way
And listen… the tension between Molly and Oliver?
UNCOMFORTABLY GOOD.
You know those scenes where two characters are pretending they’re totally fine but every conversation feels like it might emotionally combust? Yeah. That energy runs through the entire book.
What I really liked was that the story doesn’t pretend relationships are simple. Molly and Oliver have history, baggage, and a lot of things they never said out loud. Watching those layers slowly unravel felt messy but real.
Also, the town gossip energy and side characters absolutely add fuel to the drama. Everyone seems to have an opinion, which only makes the whole situation more chaotic.
Is it messy? Yes. Is it dramatic? Absolutely.
Did I sit there reading thinking oh this is about to get worse and keep turning pages anyway? Also, yes.
If you like romances where: • the past refuses to stay buried • the tension is thick enough to cut with a knife • and weddings become emotional war zones
..... then this one will absolutely scratch that itch.
Final verdict: messy second-chance romance, peak awkward wedding drama, and characters who absolutely should have had several conversations YEARS earlier.
And honestly?
Thank God they didn’t- because the chaos made for a very fun read!
I received this as an ARC so this is my honest opinion.
Messy, emotional, and impossible to look away from
Sometimes a book just throws you straight into chaos—and you happily stay there for every second of it. That’s exactly what happened here.
The story kicks off with a perfectly awkward disaster: Molly shows up at the wrong wedding… only to come face-to-face with Oliver—the one man she never expected (or wanted) to see again. And not just anywhere… at the altar. The tension? Immediate. The history? Unresolved. The timing? Absolutely terrible.
From there, it turns into a beautifully messy second-chance romance packed with lingering feelings, unspoken words, and emotional landmines just waiting to explode. Molly is trying to move forward with her life, while Oliver clearly hasn’t let go—and watching those two circle each other in a room full of witnesses made everything feel even more intense.
What really stood out was how real it all felt. This isn’t a clean or easy love story—there’s baggage, miscommunication, and years of things left unsaid. But that’s what made it so compelling. The slow unraveling of their past and the weight of everything between them kept me completely hooked.
And the setting? A small-town wedding where everyone is watching, talking, and adding fuel to the fire. The side characters and gossip only heighten the drama, making every interaction feel that much more loaded.
The tension between Molly and Oliver is the kind that simmers just under the surface—quiet, heavy, and ready to snap at any moment. The kind where every glance and conversation feels like it could tip everything over.
If you love: • second-chance romances full of unresolved history • awkward, high-stakes wedding drama • emotional tension that builds and builds • flawed, human characters making messy decisions
Oliver and Molly’s story is going to break you. It’s so easy to see as a reader what happened, but the heartbreak!!! This has pseudo-cheating, but you’re going to end up rooting for them, because the OW is unhinged!
I absolutely devoured this. You see multiple POV’s, it’s a dual timeline, and you actually do get the full story of what occurred. And, I’ve gotta say, I was about to rage!!! You’ll hurt for both of them (but Molly, the most)… I mean, accidentally walking into the wedding of your ex who ghosted you and the woman he always said you ’never have to worry about’… Brutal…
You think it’s all going well… spoiler… it’s not. You’ll smile, thinking they’re onto their HEA, and then you’ll be in shock. But the ending… loved it.
Wedding Crasher was such a great story! I initially expected a straightforward romance based on how the book began, but it quickly turned into something much more layered with plenty of twists and turns along the way. I loved not quite knowing where the story was headed next.
There was also a moment later in the book that called back to something earlier, and it literally made me laugh out loud. I love when authors do that—it made the whole story feel clever and thoughtfully put together.
Overall, this was such a fun read while still keeping the heart of the story focused on relationships, both romantic and friendships. If you enjoy a story that’s witty, a little unpredictable, and still full of heart, I’d definitely recommend this one.
If you had the opportunity to be with “the one that got away” when the two of you were driven apart by someone who was delusional and a psychopath?
Molly and Oliver are great. They have a great story.
Very slow to start, but it picked up and became a pretty good read.
A couple of twist and turns, but the timeline just jumps too much for me. I’m usually 100% on board with a. Ack and forth timeline and even multiple POVs. At one point, we have 3 different POVs and some serious psychopathic tendencies. Threw me for a loop, but it wasn’t horrible. It just hard to keep straight.
This was such a good story! What starts out as a simple misunderstanding turns into a huge story of drama and manipulation. We meet Molly, who accidentally shows up at her ex’s wedding. She is a baker who has worked hard to own and run her own business. She is such a good character. She loved Oliver so much, and I loved how we got to see their backstory. It was both happy and devastating, and I loved reading it. Poor Oliver had such a sad life, so it was so refreshing to see his journey to healing himself from his past. I really enjoyed reading this story!
This book started out strong and I enjoyed it. I loved the theme of the book and the store. I rated lower because unfortunately it got a little confusing in parts. Some times it was hard to tell if we were in the past of present, some characters gender changed 80 % through the book then went back to their original gender and Paula didn’t get resolved, what happened with her? Overall I enjoyed the book and the premise but it needed a little more to make it flow better and resolve one of the characters.
Sometimes, you may think about the one that got away but what if instead of wishing and thinking, you had that chance again. This books has it all. The spice, the lost love, the drama because there is drama. The relationship that both Molly and Oliver have is so wholesome and sweet with a mix of hilarious banter. The mix of POVs and flashbacks adds a touch of mystery with it all coming together like a puzzle piece. This is a read again for me!
I received this book as an ARC read for my honest review.
This story started out so cute with funny dialogue. Very rom-com style. At about 70% it changed from fun and lighthearted to serious and dealing with the aftermath of a toxic relationship. Honestly, I think the story could have been excellent and wrapped up at about 50% through with a fun ending. I felt like the author decided that since she had written about some serious issues she had to become serious in how the story ended.
Let's start with the good things! The characters are cute, well rounded, funny, and unique. I was not really reminded of any other book characters or relationship dynamics from other books/authors in this. I loved that it felt so original. It had a nice amount of light and fun with a little heavy sprinkled in here and there. The overall storyline is the only reason I even finished the book. I desperately wanted to know where it went and how it ended.
Now let's get to why I rated it so low... We need some more story mapping, proofreading, editing. 1. The timelines. They were impossible to follow at times. Too many flashbacks that were almost identical to whatever was happening present day. Honestly, in some of these scenes, I think the author forgot which timeline she was in...which is why it was impossible for me to keep track. 2. The scene inconsistencies. It would set up a scene with a lot of detail, such as they were laying on the beach together, and by the end of the single sentence they were dancing on the boardwalk (or something similar, I don't even remember the specifics because it didn't make sense anyway). There were MANY scenes like this. It doesn't matter to me where they are having the conversation/interaction/whatever, just pick somewhere and leave them there for a few lines. 3. Plot Holes. What happened to Paula in the end? She goes to therapy, we get a chapter or two from her POV and then she's never heard from again? I actually wanted to know more about her craziness. 4. Character inconsistencies. The last few chapters Jamie and Sam bounced from gender to gender for no reason whatsoever. Sam was a female for the entire book, she was suddenly a male for like to chapters, then was back to female for the final scene? And the same with Jamie. in the same chapters. It was so hard to read because it was clearly just carelessness on the author's part.
When I really started noticing these issues, I even went to GR to see what others were saying in their reviews. I was astonished to see that almost no one else had commented on this. I received this as an ARC and maybe I just got a very early copy, but the issues were overflowing to the point that I would not recommend a friend to read this. I'm sorry to the author, but it just needed a little more time and development in these areas. Again, the characters and the overall storyline were so good! It was just all the other stuff that I could not overlook.
🌟Beta & Arc Reader 🌟 what would you do if you stumbled upon your ex's wedding by accident and actually kissed him before the vows were even exchanged ? What if you tried to convince yourself that you are over him and will not open that can of worms again .. (spoiler: you aren't ). What if a simple mistake could change both of your lives ?
Once again Kate Rozy strikes true with her wonderful depiction of characters. The emotions are real and gut wrenching. I laughed, I cried, I screamed. I loved everything .. except Paula. I HATE Paula with all my heart and wish for her to burn slowly for all of eternity.
And thank you, Kate, for trusting me with your stories and WIPs. You are amazing and I will always be cheering on your writing journey ❤️
A second chance with your first real love!!! Yes, Please. The book grabs you from the first page and keeps you hooked till the end. FMC, Molly, crashes her ex-boyfriend’s wedding. What could go wrong? It has heart and humor and twists. A great easy read with a well thought out story and wonderful characters including the supporting cast. They add to the story instead of just filler.
Wow, this was a great story. Who doesn't love when the groom's wedding is crashed by the ex girlfriend? Molly does just that when she enters Oliver's wedding to the wicked witch Paula. Paula is the character you love to hate. So you're automatically rooting for Molly to win. This is a great romcom. Totally entertaining and really keeps your attention.
I really enjoyed this story—it felt authentic and entirely believable, like something that could happen to someone I know. The characters were compelling, and Paula in particular sparked some strong feelings (in the best way!). I did find myself wishing Molly showed a bit more strength at times, and a few of the other characters could have been fleshed out more clearly. The shifting timelines added depth but occasionally made the narrative a bit hard to follow. Overall, a heartfelt and realistic read that stayed with me after I finished.
What an emotionally chaotic story in probably the best way possible with an amazing ending. Molly and Oliver’s story is far from conventional, and full of heartache and manipulation, which makes it very relatable in my opinion. This is a true love conquers all type of story that will hit a little differently if you’ve every experienced manipulation, but in a good way
From now on, if someone is being crazy I will call it “being a Paula.”
This story was sweet, moving, frustrating and sad for a minute. What I thought was going to be a rom-com turned into something deeper. I loved the writing, it jumps from past to present, but done in an easy to follow way.
This book is all about the messiness of relationships and how they aren’t always black and white and extremely simple. The small town aspect where everyone knows your business added to the craziness of this unexpected reunion. I kept turning the pages thinking “oh no!” Quite an interesting read
I received this book as an ARC and I’m leaving my honest review

If you love DRAMA, this is a good book for you! Wedding Crasher is an emotionally chaotic second chance romance filled with quirky characters. The different POVs and flashbacks feel like the story is being put together like a puzzle.
The writing is easy to relate with and the romantic tension keeps things entertaining. The humor and lovable characters make it a fun, feel-good read —perfect if you’re in the mood for romance with a side of chaos.
In this fast paced story about Molly and Oliver, you discover an amazing friend group and a love story for the ages. While one character you do wish did not exist and you will scream at during your reading, you are cheering for Molls and Ollibear the whole time.
ARC review - Very cute book. I loved the take on being ex’s and the reality of a healthy and unhealthy power dynamic in relationships that aren’t typically written. Kitschy, fun, and refreshing - a perfect and easy read for a weekend away!
