Being traded to the Boston Blues was the best thing to happen to Adam Reyer. Another World Series ring, a team that feels like family, and a city that's finally starting to feel like home, he's never been more sure he belongs.
For Mia Wright nothing has ever felt impossible. Every plan she's made for her life is falling into place, and dare she say: ahead of schedule. Taking over her grandfather's restaurant has been the dream for a decade, and now it's officially happening.
Neither realizes anything was missing from the lives they'd built until Adam sits down in Mia’s restaurant office to plan his sister’s surprise engagement party.
Falling for each other is easy.
Getting a positive pregnancy test a few months into their relationship is not.
A baby wasn't in Mia's plans, and for Adam, impending fatherhood drags up everything about his own painful past. Suddenly the dream restaurant, the post-championship season, and the relationship that was supposed to be their easy thing are all competing for space with a due date neither of them planned for.
With each curveball thrown their way, Adam and Mia quickly realize that neither of them particularly loves striking out.

new fav couple 🥹 rtc!!
˒˒ ⊹⌇ pre-read ᝰ it’s my birthday!! 🥹 so i thought, why not make today even more fun by reading the next book in one of my fav series 🙈 the tropes for this book immediately caught my attention, so i already have faith that this is going to be amazing 🤭
Can you say DADDY’s home. And yes, Adam and Mia are both Daddy and I will accept no criticism on them.
This book was actually everything I didn’t know I needed. It was accidental pregnancy done just so so right. And Adam Reyer proved to me that I have a competency kink, because that man is just so steady and so capable!
And Mia, I loved her. The way she handles things, the way she wanted Adam as her partner and let herself fall for him knowing he would catch her. That is a boss babe in the best sense of the word.
Plus the found family this series is actually elite. I love them all and how much they relay on one another and show up however and wherever needed.
✨ Baseball Romance ✨ One Night Stand ✨ Accidental Pregnancy ✨ Marriage of convenience ✨ Found Family
3.75⭐️ Truly love the found family in this series! I feel like if you loved DC stars, you’d love this series too! I personally have never liked the accidental pregnancy trope, so this book had that going against it. I still liked it, but not as much as book 2 and 3! It’s more of a me preference though! I cannot tell you have badly I need Emma and Tripps book !
this story follows adam reyer, who is finally in a place that feels like home and with a team that feels like family, he’s never more sure he belongs. he’s currently planning his sisters surprise engagement party, and here enters mia wright, the new owner of restaurant where his sisters engagement party will take place. one things turns into another, and their conversation turns from party planning to banter-filled conversations about anything and everything in their lives. these two start to fall for each other, however getting a positive pregnancy test a few months into their relationship was not apart of their future plans yet…
this was a great read! i love reading about the accidental pregnancy trope in books, so when i saw this book was releasing soon, i immediately signed up! usually, an accidental pregnancy starts at the beginning of the story usually before the main characters start to date, however this one started after they were dating, and i really really enjoyed how this trope was placed in the book! both adam and mia handled the pregnancy with so much care and maturity it was so refreshing to read about! these two characters were so communicative with one another, and throughout the story you could tell they both wanted to grow together to further strengthen their relationship! also, LOVE the found family aspects in this book, it was so much fun reading about group of people who just love each other so much and treat each other so well! additionally, i must add that every time this man said “honey” to mia i was so giddy, i literally started smiling while reading! overall, a great read and definitely recommend!
thank you so much to mollie goins and house of hearts for the eARC!
I absolutely love the Boston Blues series, so I was really excited to finally get Mia and Adam’s story in Catching Mine. We’ve gotten glimpses of Mia, especially in Stealing You, while Adam has been part of the series from the very beginning as Callie’s brother in Pitcher Us. After seeing little pieces of both of them throughout the series, I had been looking forward to seeing what Mollie Goins would do with their happily ever after. And honestly, Adam and Mia ended up being such a sweet addition to the series. 🥰

Adam was probably my favourite part of this book. He is such a genuinely good man and the definition of a walking green flag. 💚 The moment he realized he had feelings for Mia, he didn't run from them or spend half the book convincing himself he shouldn't want her. He simply accepted what he was feeling and started showing her in all those quiet, thoughtful ways that made it impossible not to fall for him too. He's incredibly observant, thoughtful, and attentive to what Mia needs, and I loved how naturally he slipped into that caring, supportive role. Honestly, I need to know where women are finding men like this because I would like one too!
Mia was just as easy to root for. She's strong, self-assured, fiercely independent, and completely capable of taking care of herself. I loved that being with Adam never diminished any of that. Instead, their relationship gave her even more confidence in herself and her abilities. She spends so much of her life trying to stay in control and handle everything herself, so seeing her slowly learn to trust the people around her and allow herself to accept help was one of my favorite parts of her character arc.
I think Adam and Mia worked so well because they complemented each other without trying to change one another. They challenged each other in the best ways and encouraged each other to step outside their comfort zones while still respecting the people they already were. They were incredibly protective of one another, but there was also so much trust between them. They genuinely wanted to see the other person succeed and become the happiest version of themselves.
I also thought the accidental pregnancy fit their story surprisingly well. It never felt like the trope was there simply to create drama; instead, it gave both of them an opportunity to grow and reevaluate what they wanted from their lives. I really liked how maturely they approached everything and how believable their reactions felt. The book also touches on some heavier subjects and complicated family dynamics, and I thought those elements were handled thoughtfully without taking over the romance.
And then there's the Boston Blues found family, which continues to have my entire heart. 🥹 I love how these guys show up for each other, both when things are going well and when someone needs a little extra support. It makes every book feel connected in a way that goes beyond simply having characters make cameos. And speaking of cameos, seeing Jett and Wyla again was such a treat! I miss my babies, so getting to see them happy and enjoying their life together was an added bonus for me. I will never complain about an Aster Creek appearance. 🫶
My only issue was that the story felt a little too smooth for me. I actually appreciated not having a third-act breakup or some frustrating miscommunication keeping Adam and Mia apart, but I did find myself wishing there had been a little more conflict somewhere along the way. Considering everything they were dealing with, I think a stronger obstacle could have added more tension and made the eventual payoff hit harder.
Still, I had such a great time with Adam and Mia. Catching Mine was a sweet, easy-to-read romance with a fantastic couple, a wonderful found family, and plenty of those little moments that made me smile. It was another lovely addition to a series I've been enjoying from the beginning, and it definitely has me even more excited for what's still to come. 💕
And now we finally get Tripp and Emma! 👀These two have been dancing around whatever is going on between them for long enough, and I am SO ready to see them finally figure it out. I'm excited to see how Mollie Goins brings the Boston Blues series toward its conclusion, although I'm definitely going to be a little emotional about saying goodbye to this group when we get there. 😭
I was so excited to finally get Mia and Adam’s story after getting to know them in the previous books, and it completely delivered.
Adam is the definition of a green flag. From the moment he realizes he has a crush on Mia, he pays attention to the little things that matter to her, and the thought and care he puts into their first date completely stole my heart.
One of my favorite parts of their relationship was how they encouraged each other to grow without changing who they were. Mia learned to loosen her grip on work and trust the people around her, while Adam found himself stepping outside of his routine and embracing a little more spontaneity. Watching them bring out the best in each other made their romance feel authentic, supportive, and incredibly easy to root for.
The accidental pregnancy trope was handled so well, and it’s a trope that will always win me over when it’s done with this much heart. It felt natural to their story and only made me love them even more.
I’m equal parts excited and emotional about the final book in the series. I can’t wait to see how everything wraps up, but I’m definitely going to miss this group of characters once it’s over.
I KNEW ADAM WAS GOING TO BE MY FAVORITE. When that man brought in his list for Mia, I was cooked. Literally, their list loving selves feeds my soul. They are PERFECTION. This book is everything I imagined. The banter, the love, the found family, it was all so perfect!
YALL ARE NOT READY FOR ADAM FREAKING REYER. This man is easily top book boyfriend OF THE YEAR!! He plans “Mia-fied” dates & completely gets Mia’s confidence, & independence, yet will gladly have her back. He is an 11/10.
Mia is THE BOSS BABE 👏 I love it when a FMC refuses to let anyone talk bad or hurt their partner. I also just love Mia & her lists too. Their plan was unconventional and it reminded me of my own life and I just loved it.
The found family gets me every time & I refuse to believe the Boston Blues only have one more book. There will be such a void when I finish this series 😭

“I will take care of her, but not because she needs me to—because I want to be with her.”

Thank you Molly for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review!
Easily the softest romance I have read this year. Not a second of angst in sight, and I loved every page of it!!!
SO much healthy communication, SO many swoony moments, and a found family that shows up for one another over and over!
I absolutely loved Adam, but for me, Mia stole the show!!! Hands down will be a top FMC of the year for me. I loved that she was successful on her own and Adam was ALL about her success! She didn't need any knight in shining armor, but she had one! And he loved taking care of her, not because she needed it, but because he loved her!
If you're looking for a soft swoony romance (with plenty of spicy moments) that you can read in one sitting, this one is for you!
ALPHA/EARLY ARC REVIEW. I absolutely LOVE this Boston Blues family that Mollie has created. It’s seriously the best found family I’ve ever read.
Adam + Mia’s story made me remember I love a good accidental pregnancy when it’s done right. It’s an exception for me when I love one, so if/when you need an accidental pregnancy rec be prepared for me to share this one on repeat. There’s just something so nice + refreshing about the FMC not becoming a completely different character/man hating bitch the second she gets a positive pregnancy test. And I love reading about two adults navigating this crazy journey we call life.
If you haven’t read Mollie yet, please start with Despite It All (secret baby perfection, which from above you should know says A LOT!) then spin off to the Blues. I promise you won’t regret it. I loved seeing my OG BB’s Jett + Wyla in this one.
The way I am so obsessed with this series needs to be studied. It is one of my fav baseball romance series and if you haven’t read it, you seriously need to add it to your TBR! Although it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading it in order for the whole found family aspect! 🩵
Dare I say this might be my fav one? It’s so hard to choose! Coach me and Catching mine has got to be my top two. This one hits home bc of the pregnancy trope but I stuck to it and absolutely loved! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mia and Adam’s story is to die for. It felt natural and real straight from the beginning. No third act breakup because Mollie gets it. Now, unexpected pregnancy is typically not my cup of tea; however, Mollie just does everything better. I love their relationship and how supportive one another was to each other.
The group texts are always everything. I’m excited for Tripp’s book. His denial is so funny to me.
Callie’s role as Adam’s sister and their trauma was so prevalent in this book. Literally love how they are so close. Oh and Adam’s old coach. Like cmon. He’s the best.
Thanks to Mollie Goins and House of Hearts for the gifted copy.
‘“Have a good game, baby daddy.” Okay, I adore her, but hate that. “Too soon, honey.”’
Vibes: catching feelings (pun intended)
Tropes: Baseball Surprise Pregnancy Boston Found Family Marriage of Convenience
The MCs are both driven people and what was supposed to be a fun relationship turns much more serious with two pink lines. I loved the cinnamon roll MMC and felt for him as he wrestled his past trauma to step up.
ehhhh this was fine 🤷🏽♀️ timeline was too fast for my liking and it was like the 3rd surprise baby book i read in a row so i think i was just over it. they barley started dating and then he was gone for like a month then it somehow turned into a marriage of convenience of sorts 🙄 but not really since they wanted to keep dating as normal but now they would just be married and having a baby ????
Oh, how l just adore every last thing Mollie writes— there's something special about Catching Mine in particular that spoke to my Boston Blues loving heart in a quiet, emotionally intimate sort of way. Adam and Mia are true soulmates in the way they provide peace, safety, comfort, and 'home' for each other. I love an FMC who knows she's the boss in every meaning of the word, but still allows herself vulnerability regardless, especially with her partner when she really does need to be taken care of. The surprise pregnancy in this is perfectly done to me! Just the right amount of lead up, and the exact reaction I wanted from Adam at the news. It's imperative in pregnancy trope (for me at least) that the FMC has every opportunity to make decisions for herself, and I adored that Adam, who finds solace in control before he truly knows Mia, gave her that decision full stop with no questions asked or pressure added. These characters just spoke to me! Mia's self assuredness and drive, Adam's quiet loyalty and nerdy side, every moment knowing them apart and together made me love them even more. And the twisty turny ending! It raised the stakes at just the right time, and seeing the bad guy get what's coming to them is going to hit for me every time. And come on, who doesn't love a wealthy FMC?? As a true Boston Blue's fan, this was everything and more, and felt like a love letter to those of us who've watched this series unfold! I think this is perfect for readers who love quietly intimate love stories with no third act breakup, and mature main characters who make each other the priority. Fans of Chelsea Curto will LOVE Mollie Goins if they haven't tried her yet! Mollie, this series is so incredibly special and l am in denial about it ending! Thank you Mollie and House of Hearts Lit for providing me with an advanced copy— all opinions expressed are honest and my own! 4.5 stars rounded to 5 ⭐️
i enjoyed this book. it took me a while to actually finish it and it was very hard for me to pick it up. i’m not the biggest fan of accidental pregnancy and i feel like this book made it feel a little too easy in some ways. also, their relationship was so new which was hard to wrap my head around. anyways, i’m looking forward to reading tripp and emma’s book!!
This review is a rant, but to be entirely fair, I need to start off by saying that plenty of people will enjoy the book just fine. But if you're not one of them, here's what bothered me so much that I'm still thinking about it more than a week after I finished the book:
Let's start with our FMC. We're told that she's super smart, loved being captain of the debate team, excelled in academics, and yet her dream job is running the wine bar/restaurant (more on that later) that her grandfather started and her dad has been running. Now, in the real world, sure, I believe this is absolutely possible. There are smart people who dream of running the family business or being in food service or owning a restaurant. But for a fictional character? When the author is hand-picking their motivations and interests? Nope. That was stupid. Even stupider is the FMC getting a MASTERS degree to run this bar/restaurant. We later find out that she may be managing her own investments (and only getting them checked by a financial advisor? Honestly, it's really unclear who's doing the work) but we only ever see the FMC bartending and meeting with liquor reps and doing vague 'paperwork.' Yet she's at the bar/restaurant like 80 hours a week, somehow.
While we're on the subject, WTF is this bar/restaurant? I mean, the name is idiotic (Winedown). Whatever, some authors aren't good at business names. But seriously, what *is* this place supposed to be? We're told it's the kind of place where regulars show up to hang out at the bar and eat and drink; we're told it's the kind of place where the entire friend group goes to hang out together on a night off from baseball; we're also told it's a 'very pricey restaurant,' has 'repeatedly been reported in the top five restaurants in all of Massachusetts in countless news outlets' with an 'insane social media presence.' The place is rented out for a private party (fine) and they're getting a photobooth, for some reason. They rarely discuss the food the restaurant serves, it's most often focused on the drinks. So it's all of these kind of disparte things at once? I just cannot understand what the author was going for with this place. It's like the Mary Sue of businesses; simultaneously everything and nothing. (The chef--well, chefs, plural, because they're only ever mentioned as a group--only show up towards the end when they've been bribed by the MMC to keep the FMC fed when she's at work.)
Mind you, the FMC is a multi-millionaire and comes from family money and if she 'didn't give so much away' to charities she'd be the youngest billionaire (ever? who knows). And you're telling me she CHOOSES to bartend at the family bar? And not only the FMC, but also her father, ALSO a multimillionaire? And grandfather, I guess, who was rich enough to consider buying an MLB team. OK SURE.
Also, the FMC talks about how important it was to her dad to know how to do every job at the restaurant/bar. Here's the FMC talking about it: "It was something my dad always did. It didn't matter what the role was, he wanted to know every single position like the back of his hand. He always said it grounded him--made him feel more deserving of the title of being CEO."
Yes, that's right, they're calling the owner of a restaurant a CEO.
Even more perplexing, when the FMC goes on maternity leave, does she hire a qualified restaurant/bar manager to cover for her? Nope. (In fact, she doesn't seem to have a manager at all, at any point, which is a CHOICE.) She asks her FINANCIAL ADVISOR to run the restaurant for her. And the woman agrees!!! Never mind that this woman (Wren) is so brilliant she's made the FMC so much money with her investments, she just... decides to fill her days running a bar/restaurant for funsies, to cover mat leave. WTF. (This is so clearly a decision made by the author to get Wren in the orbit of the remaining single baseball players for a future book that I honestly feel insulted by how lazy it is. Try harder, Mollie Goins.)
Also, she was only 'on track' to hire someone to cover for her PART TIME. as a multi-millionaire with a top-five restaurant in the entire state, supposedly. And she can't even get full-time coverage? Wtf??
But the author does this ALL THE TIME in the book. Half the things that happen are just... hand waved to make the plot work. How did the FMC get accidentally pregnant? No idea. As the MMC says, "There could have been a number of reasons..." That's it. No further thought needed, FMC is pregnant and the plot advances! Need to show that the MMC is so into the FMC that his friends notice? Well, have him GIGGLE at his phone in front of his friends! What's he giggling? A text he sent. Does it make sense? Not even a little bit! But he giggled, friends notice, plot advances! Need to show that the MMC is really happy and the FMC's friends are happy for them? Have the FMC mention that her FINANCIAL ADVISOR is going to make the FMC watch a video of a press conference where the MMC talks about her and the baby. The FMC has already seen it (multiple times); this is the first time we've met the financial advisor and this is a weird thing for someone who doesn't seem to be a close friend to talk about; the FINANCIAL ADVISOR then goes on to talk about how she'd just 'roll over in bed' and ask the MMC to recite the entire press conferece. That's a really weird thing to say!
The MMC and FMC are supposed to both be super smart and have this snappy, intelligent banter, but honestly, it makes no sense. It's the author writing what she thinks sounds smart. Example: the MCs are planning a private event for MMC's sister; FMC mentions that the restaurant is getting a photobooth "repurposed" and he can rent that. First of all, if it's getting repurposed, it will no longer be a photobooth. I think the author meant 'repaired' or 'restored.' Second of all the MMC goes on to argue that he should get a discount on it, because it will be 'broken.' Except it won't be, because that's the entire point of getting it repaired. FMC (logically) argues that it won't be broken at the time of the party. MMC counters that it's broken now, at the time of purchase. Only it's not the time of purchase; the time of purchase for a RENTAL will be when it's actually RENTED and used???? The conversation continues on and we're meant to see this as clever banter on both sides but it just shows how neither one actually understands like... rental agreements?
FMC calls the MMC a teddy bear and I don't think she knows what that means bc we're told he's serious and standoffish and taciturn, not... soft and cuddly. The MMC is joking about jello shots with the FMC; the FMC asks if he thinks those are worthy texts bc she's charging him by the text or something equally dumb. He says 'you're responding, so obviously.' FMC replies 'such a teddy bear response.' Only it's not????
Author could have really used an editor to catch some other obvious mistakes that just make the MCs come off as stupid. They often start a sentence and then it changes into something else entirely at the end of the sentence and makes no sense. Eg: "I'm not sure if it's another hormone thing or the fact that I'm just obsessed with my husband, but..." Ok, so we start the sentence with the FMC about to give us examples of how SHE is attracted to her husband, presumably. Where does the sentence go next? It continues: "...but he fills my water and washes my pump supplies and has it all ready to go when I need." Huh? What does this list of tasks have to do with 'another hormone thing' or her obsession with him??? Another example: "...but after several stupid, misogynistic questions that were met with well-thought plans, executed data, and competence... they got less and less each time." WTF is 'executed data'??
Other weird/confusing/poorly written things: - uses 'in reality' when it should be 'in theory' - FMC says she has to pee, ' to shock literally no one' instead of 'to the surprise of literally no one' - MMC says, about his sister, "I love that Callie has you to look out for her... as my stomach already feels like it's in my ass with worry for Mia--got to admit, it made me feel a little worse." Those ellipses are in the text, btw; I did not cut out the part of the sentence that would make it make sense. - "Come on, girl, while we make our way out you can tell me what exact words to the prayer you used for that husband of yours."
And the cherry on top of all of this is that the FMC buys an MLB team IN SECRET in the span of TWO DAYS. From not knowing the team was for sale or who even owned to it contracts are signed, the entire league has approved her as an owner, she now owns the team, it was TWO DAYS. While her husband is an active player on the team. Yeah, ok; sure.
When I talk about how some contemporary romance books are just trash and so poorly written and have zero logic or thought put into them, this is the sort of book I'm thinking of. Woof.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Oops… They ordered love, not a positive pregnancy test

Dear God in Heaven… Mollie Goins, what did I ever do to deserve your books? Because every single time I pick one up, you somehow reach into my chest, grab my heart with both hands, and refuse to give it back.
Catching Mine is everything I’ve come to expect from Mollie Goins; and somehow, even more.
Adam Reyer, the Boston Blues’ catcher, has finally found a place that feels like home. Mia Wright is a powerhouse business owner who’s worked for years to make her dream of running her family’s restaurant a reality. Neither of them is looking for the kind of love that completely changes your life… but fate clearly didn’t get the memo.
What starts as an easy, unexpected connection quickly turns into something so much deeper.
Adam and Mia absolutely stole my heart.
Their relationship feels so real. It’s messy without being dramatic, vulnerable without ever feeling forced, and built on communication, respect, unwavering support, and choosing each other; even when life throws the biggest curveballs imaginable. Watching them learn, grow, and lean on one another was honestly one of my favourite parts of the book.
And Adam… Where do I even begin? This man is the GREENEST of green flags. The blueprint. The standard. The “raising everyone’s expectations of fictional men” kind of hero. Protective without being controlling. Emotionally vulnerable. Patient. Supportive. Completely gone for his girl. Seriously… do men like this actually exist, or has Mollie Goins just been spoiling us on purpose? Because I fear no real man will ever recover from Adam Reyer.
Mia is equally incredible. She’s ambitious, fiercely independent, and refuses to lose herself while navigating everything life throws at her. I loved that she was allowed to be strong while also being scared, determined while still needing support. She felt wonderfully human.
What I adore most about Mollie Goins’ writing is that she never relies on unnecessary drama. The emotional moments hit because they feel authentic. The romance is tender, the chemistry is undeniably hot (those Adam POVs… excuse me while I combust), the banter is effortless, and every page is filled with so much heart that I found myself smiling one minute and feeling emotional the next.
If you’re looking for a romance with found family, incredible communication, emotional depth, sizzling chemistry, mature characters, and a hero you’ll be thinking about long after you’ve finished the book, Catching Mine absolutely deserves a spot at the top of your TBR.
The moment I found out what Catching Mine by Mollie Goins was about, I knew it was going to be the perfect book for me. I love the surprise pregnancy trope. I love marriage of convenience. But both in the same story? I couldn’t wait to see how the author would bring them together.
💕 “If this really is the second chance Callie was talking about, then I’m catching mine and not letting go.”
Even though the story, the relationship, comes with plenty of surprises, everything felt natural. At no point did Adam and Mia’s relationship feel forced. Quite the opposite. I completely believed in them as a couple and they felt like such a good match. What I loved most was watching Mia slowly let her guard down around Adam, allowing herself to give up control every now and then. And Adam never takes advantage of that. Instead, he understands how important her plans are to her and supports her. He’s incredibly caring and thoughtful, which made it impossible not to love him. At the same time, I was curious to learn more about his inner struggles.
💕 “I’ve always believed in fate, to an extent. I believe that being lucky is a construct formed by hard work.”
I also appreciated that the story doesn’t rely on unnecessary drama. Adam and Mia have genuine, human reactions, but what really makes the difference is that they communicate. Fear, panic and insecurities are all natural and I thought they were portrayed in a very realistic way. I also loved that Mia’s pregnancy isn’t just there to check off a trope, but it’s an important part of the story and we get to experience this new chapter right alongside her.
I was a little worried about how the marriage of convenience would fit into the story, considering Mia’s pregnancy, but the author handled that really well too. Everything was developed so naturally that I never once felt like they were getting married just because of the baby.
Then there’s the wonderful people surrounding them, which only made me wish I had already read the previous books in the series, but I’ll definitely be going back to them. And Emma and Tripp’s story sounds so intriguing and I’m already looking forward to reading it!

Thanks to Mollie Goins and House of Hearts for the gifted copy — all opinions are my own.
Oh man. I don't think I have ever highlighted so many lines in a book before. I adored this entire thing!
I loved their banter and dates they went on. Adam had trauma he had to deal with that hurt my heart, but he was SUCH a good guy. He was thoughtful and genuine....with a need to be ten minutes early to everything. Mia was a bada•• all on her own. She was smart, funny, loyal, loved her matcha, quick witted....and had a slight addiction to heels.
When I tell you this book is loaded with great lines, I am not exaggerating. The writing is perfection. 💯 The characters and flow of the story? Spot on. The humor? 🤌🏽. The chemistry? 😮💨 The way Mia handled the threats and intimidation? 👏🏽.
I LOVED these two and their dynamic throughout this book. Mia and him together were literal perfection, and their banter? SO good. But honestly, my favorite thing about them was the communication. THEY COMMUNICATED!
They were always open and honest with each other about what they wanted and needed. They supported one another, encouraged each other in their careers, and actually talked through things instead of creating unnecessary drama. And I loved that SO much. I don’t know that I’ve ever read a romance where the communication was this good from beginning to end.
I also really loved the accidental pregnancy storyline. The way Mollie wrote Mia’s pregnancy experience through every stage was one of my favorite parts of the book. It felt so thoughtful and genuine, and I loved seeing him take care of her and look out for her in every way, even when he wasn’t physically there.
There was just something so easy and comforting about these two. They loved each other, supported each other, and actually acted like a team. Give me more romances like this PLEASE!
I still think Book 3 is my favorite of the series so far, but only by a smidge. Because honestly, what’s not to love about these two?! 💕
I’ve loved Beck and Jensen with my whole heart but these two… I knew Adam was going to be great and I’ve been patiently waiting for his story, and I was so rewarded for it.
Adam Reyer is THE book boyfriend, the way he takes care of Mia from the very first encounter is incredible.
Mia is unbelievable. She’s so strong-willed and won’t let anything or anyone speak ill of her or Adam. She steps up in every role her life throws at her, and this story couldn’t have been better with two other characters.
Such a mature story, these two have the banter and the chemistry on point. You can’t put this book down.
Thank you Mollie Goins and House of Hearts for the gifted arc
This was such a great read! I love the accidental pregnancy trope, and I really enjoyed that it happened after Adam and Mia were already together. It made the story feel fresh, and I loved how they handled everything with so much maturity and communication.
The found family aspect was another favorite of mine, and every time Adam called Mia “honey,” I couldn’t stop smiling. Overall, this was such a sweet, heartwarming read, and I’d definitely recommend it!
Mollie once again making me cry and swoon and fall in love. I could not have pictured Adam and Mia’s story going any other way. My type A king and queen having life throw a curve ball at them was everything they needed. I love both of them BAD. NO NOTES per usual but I’m so sad we will be leaving our Boston blues after next book but omg I need Tripp and Emma BADDDD.
Aaaggghh!! I had so much fun 😍 the chemistry between Mia and Adam is unmatched, loved them so much! Definitely my fav couple so far 🤭
Mia is THE boss bitch. I love her, omg. She always had a reply or retort at the ready and knows what she wants. Adam, oh boy. Top tier. And the way he challenged her and how they made each other better 🥹 love love love
I loved this. Every minute of it. So glad the “twist” was not what I thought it was going to be. And we love a strong independent woman who takes not shit and has an amazing support system that allows her to be her and lifts her up to make it happen. She
Read it this fast, so I could be done quicker. I love this series and MG, but accidental pregnancy is my pet peeve, and I hated the story I can’t even lie.
Guys, I don’t know if I can express how much I loved this book. IT. WAS. SO. GOOD! I’m obsessed. I’ve loved this Boston Blues series since Pitcher Us, but Catching Mine made me love all the characters all over again. This book had a badass FMC who owns her own restaurant and a “teddy bear” baseball player MMC, who’s fine with his life the way it is. There’s also found family, an accidental pregnancy and a marriage of convenience, all of my favorite tropes.
Mia was such a great FMC. She was fierce, independent, intelligent and strong. She learned a lot about business from her dad and grandfather and used what she learned to continue the success of her restaurant. I loved her attitude and how she’d stick up for herself. She let Adam in and I just loved how she trusted him and knew he was her end game.
Oh, Adam. This man had gone through so much in his past. However, he overcame all of that and became such a great man. He listened to everything Mia told him and I love how he always took her thoughts and comments into consideration when planning their dates. He loved Mia for who she was and supported her in all her decisions,
These two together were literal perfection. I absolutely loved their banter. They communicated! This was my favorite thing about them. They were always open with one another about what they wanted and needed. They supported each other in their careers. There was never any unnecessary drama between them and I loved that so much.
I also have to mention that I loved getting more of the couples from the previous books in the series. Getting more of Jett and Wyla was also so awesome. I loved their story so much. This series definitely has a top tier found family.
Overall, I loved this book and I cannot wait to reread it and the entire series. This is a new “favorite of all time” book for me. I would 1000% recommend it and the whole Boston Blues series.
Thank you Mollie Goins and House of Hearts Lit for the ARC for an honest review.
The premise of this book really sold me on reading this book and now that I have fuly read it I can confirm it is such a fun and cute book to read!
Mia and Adam begin their realtionship in a typical way, they flirt, spend some time together, and become boyfriend and girlfriend.
They're in their honeymoon phase of their new realtionship when they unexpectadly get the news that they are pregnant. Both Mia and Adam get thrown into disarray with this news, Mia who has always been a planner is in shock, she's just recently come to inherit her father's restrutant after years of working her ass off and Adam, has only just grown comfortable with his life in Boston.
Regardless of their anxieties and fears, Mia and Adam know that they want to keep this baby and that although they've just started their realtionship they've never been more serious about further pursing it.
I genueily thought this was such a unique approach for the surprise pregnancy trope. The conflict doesn't exist within having a child or within the realtionship but about preparing as a couple together for this baby that they will be having.
Both Mia and Adam are so supportive of one another and communicate about their hesistency/fears along the journey. You get to fall in love with them at the same time they fall in love with one another it's honestly romantic.
I haven't read any other of the Boston Blues Books but this book has encouraged me to give it a go!
There were some couple hiccups along the way through reading this, like the timeline could've been better drawn out and communicated alongside some of the scenes that implemented the timelines. There were also some random plot points that felt rushed or last minute.
Regardless, I picked up Catching Mine as a entertaining and fun read and I fell in love with the story told!
